Chapt 63
Kalpi was still asleep on Raghav's shoulder when the flight landed. They had been seated in a suite that had all the facilities. Raghav had prebooked the chef and the food and Kalpi for the first time did seem to enjoy the gourmet food even though it was not her typical Indian spicy delicacies. They both had watched a movie together hand in hand and Raghav enjoyed every moment of having Kalpi in his arms. They had the facility to lie down in a bed and they both did together. To see Kalpi sleep peacefully in his arms is what he had yearned for. He had her love, she was his wife but even then he was deprived of the priviledge to wake up by her side every morning and see her wake up from her sleep or even sleep with her in his arms all through the night!
Such simple things he wished for! Yet he did not have them. But he ensured that he will have her by his side 24*7 in these coming days and no one can separate them. He kissed on top of her head slowly so as to not wake her up.
He browsed through his phone and replied to some urgent emails. For some reason he wasnt able to sleep well, maybe due to excitement or the tension that he does not screw up everything. This was the first time he was going out with Kalpi after their marriage. She deserved every bit of happiness and she deserved to be his queen. She deserved every bit of his love and he needed her like he needed air to breathe and water to survive. My kalpi...he whispered her name rolling of his tongue giving him the immense satisfaction that he is fortunate to savour this moment.
I love you my beautiful queen! he adjusted her shawl to cover her while she shifted uncomfortably missing his warmth by her side and frowned in her sleep.
Raghav could not bear that discomfort, no not even in her sleep and rushed to her side putting away his phone. As soon as his body was in contact and she inhaled his scent when a faint smile appeared on her face as she reached out her hand to hold him by his waist and adjusted her head on his chest.
It seemed as if she did not want to be away from him even in her sleep. Raghav smiled and closed his eyes only to be disturbed after 15 minutes by the air hostess who informed that they were landing and need to get back to their seats.
It was almost 5 and a half hours journey which passed like 5 minutes in his beloved's arms. He woke her up gently as if she was made of glass. Sneaking a kiss on her cheek he asked her to wake up or they might go back home. Kalpi woke up erect and sat up and gave a big grin to Raghav. Have we reached already?
Hmm we are landing soon. Kalpi clasped her hands in joy and hugged him. He was lucky enough to even get kissed by her.
Oh Bappa! I did not even realise we reached so soon, nahi?
She opened the windows to see the rising sun and smiled to herself all eager to spend her time with her love.
Soon they landed and it took them almost an hour to finish off formalities and collect their luggage and come out of the airport. As soon as they stepped out they found a man in a suit holding a placard for Mr and Mrs Singhania. Kalpi couldnt take her eyes off the placard. Mr and mrs Singhaniya sounds so good! They were ushered into a limo and their luggage were taken to be stowed away somewhere else in the car. Kalpi loved the interior of the Limo and sat opposite to Raghav who frowned at her and tapped the place next to him looking at her.
Kalpi was in a mischievous mood. She nodded her head in no and stuck out her tongue surprising Raghav. He was glad to find her being a child again, carefree and mischievous.
He was loving it to discover every shade of his wife that was unknown to him. Later Kalpi slipped back next to him and in 25 minutes they were at the Sentosa island in the compunds of the Capella Resorts. Kalpi was admiring everything outside the window and to say she loved this place was an understatement. It was an island and it was beautiful.
As she stepped into her suite she found the view breathtaking and refreshing. Her thoughts ran back to the view from her chawl balcony from where she had never been away other than the boarding in Panchgani.
Though she missed her family, Kalpi had loved her school and the school surroundings. And on picnics they were taken to the nearby lakes and gardens which she loved to admire.
She smiled recollecting her old memories. She started looking around the rooms and admire them.
The bed was huge and the room was beautiful. Kalpi had already decided where she would arrange her clothes.
A pool outside the room surprised her to no end and she loved it. She then went upstairs to find a common room and there in the patio was a jacuzzi!
A jacuzzi in an almost open place? It was so inviting that Kalpi had the urge to go and immerse herself in it. Oh I still have time to do all that!
She loved the outdoor view from the balcony and decided to go for a morning walk daily with Raghav. Wondering how expensive all this must be she looked for Raghav and found him relaxing on the bed.
So Madam did you like everything. If you are not comfortable or need anything let me know. I will do the needful. Your husband is at your service 24*7.
Kalpi smiled and sat next to him and ruffled his hair then started playing with it. Seeing the chance Raghav grabbed the opportunity to lay his head in her lap and got cosy. hmmm please dont stop I love it when you do that!
Kalpi chuckled and slowly asked him the need for getting such an expensive place. We will be gone for sightseeing then who will be here? Its such a waste. Raghav nodded his head. This woman!
Darling this husband of yours has never had the opportunity to spend his earnings on anyone worthwhile. So please, dont you think if I earn I have the right to spend it also especially for my every gorgeous wife who is growing increasingly beautiful day by day. What is the secret? Is it my love or something else?
It is Dove!
R:huh?
K: Its a soap silly.
R: Sigh I wish I was your soap
K: Chee! you are disgusting! She jerked him off the lap and entered the bathroom to freshen up.
R: You want me there for some help? I believe I have become very good at scrubbing these days and he ran after her. Before she could close the door he was in there with her.
Did she have a choice? Guess after marriage one loses the privacy of even taking bath! hmmm
R: Pulled her to him, saying hey I am trying to save water and towels and all like you keep saying. So be reasonable and lets take a shower together. We have to hurry cos we have to attend a meeting in next 2 hours. Closing in he took her in his arms and kissed her hungrily. Kalpi protested saying she is yet to brush and stuff but finally gave in.
After the shower, Kalpi was glowing even more, with towel wrapped around her she entered the room to take out her clothes. Hey Kalpi get me my stuff na...please.
Nodding her head and biting down a smile feeling shy at the same time. She opened his suitcase and took out his stuff first arranged them on the bed and then went to the dressing table. She was glad to find a hair dryer there and immediately started drying her hair.
She was still looking out of the window and the beautiful scenary. Debating if she should be taking a walk on the beaches in the evening or stroll in the garden she started combing her hair. Realising she was still lost somewhere, Raghav sneaked behind her and stole a kiss on her bare shoulder. Seeing her shiver made him happy to see his effect on her. As she was about to change he kept telling her how beautiful she looked even in the towel!
Kalpi nodded her head saying Horny Singhania you like me without towel also. If you forgot we have a meeting to attend. Lets get ready and uh...mmm where will we be in the evening. I actually wanted to see the beach.
If wife wants beach then beach it is. I will also get to see many other fishes in the sea. Kalpi's jaw almost touched the ground. What did you say? Now bear the consequences and pulled his towel that he had tied low on his waist. She was disappointed to see he was already covered and looked up to see him smirking. You see I know it can be dangerous around you. Now its my turn.
Shrieking for her life she ran with her clothes into the bathroom.
They both got ready, had their breakfast in the balcony and left for the meeting. Kalpi was fidgeting with nervousness as she really wanted to impress the future clients and hoped they could cater their every need. As soon as they entered the big office they were shown the room where they were to meet the future client Mr and Mrs Chong. They finally entered the conference room and Kalpi was surprised to find an aged couple enter.
They introduced themselves as Steven Chong and Michelle Chong.
They were the number one hoteliers in Singapore and were interested to expand their business to different places in the world. Kalpi asked for a few details as to what they were looking for exactly. Steven and Michelle spoke of their dreams their vision and their desire to build a one of a kind hotel that would be a world class hotel and also an architectural wonder.
Kalpi was so impressed with their thoughts and their vision and noted down every possible detail. she then informed them that in a day or two Singhania Constructions will be ready with their presentation. Soon they started talking casually and Michelle wanted to know the relationship between Raghav and Kalpi.
Raghav finally let them know that Kalpi was not just his marketing head she was also his better half. Soon Mr and Mrs Chong took a liking to this couple as they saw themselves in these young couple.
Michelle said I dont know what my husband will say but I have already decided to give this job to you two and chuckled.
Raghav thanked them and confirmed that they would still want to do the presentation and they could decide.
They invited them both for a dinner next day which they gladly accepted. Mr Chong also informed them to contact his secretary if they needed any help in getting around and stuff.
Kalpi was super excited and got down with her papers and informed Raghav that they will do a video conferencing with the architects back in their office in India. I am just done sending few details to them via email. Oh Raghav can you imagine if we get this project we can soon become the number one in our field globally.
Such a lovely vision and what ideas they have just floored me with their thinking. You think we can do it?
Raghav was just admiring her passion towards her work and nodded, if you are with me I can do anything Kalpi!
She smiled and went and sat on his lap, yahan bhi romance?
You know sometimes I miss my Akdu boss! What did you do to him? Raghav gazed into her eyes...but I dont miss him. I am loving being this cheap romantic types. Never knew the fun and pleasure it gives and kissed her on the cheek.
After lunch they went to their office in Singapore and Raghav showed her around his office. Soon they got back to work all serious and wanting to finish it off so that they could enjoy some time together in this lovely place.
