Story of episode 49 -Nov 9 US

• Subahu takes Marich to Vishwamitra's ashram. Marich tries to attack Ram from behind but Laxman stops him and beats him black and blue.
• Both Chitangada and Mandodari feel that Ravan loved the other wife more. On Ravan's insistence, Mandodari talks to Chitrangada and they become good friends.
• Demons try to kill some kidnapped villagers. Laxman frees the villagers by killing many demons. One demon uses his illusory power so that many such demons are seen. Ram remembers Hanuman. Hanuman comes and points towards the real demon. Ram kills the demon.
• Agastya meets Kuber and complains about Ravan. Kuber sends a messenger to Ravan telling Ravan to stop his cruel acts. Malyavan says that a messenger should not be killed. But Ravan kills the messenger.

Marich sees Subahu's wounds and becomes happy.
Marich - Brother, was the work completed? Your wounds say that you had fierece battle with those two boys. And you killed them.

Subahu - No, it is nothing like that.
Subahu tells him the whole story.
Marich slaps Subahu.
Marich - Are you not ashamed? You got beaten up by a small monkey. Take me there. I will kill him.
Subahu hesitates but Marich insists. Then Subahu takes Marich to Vishwamitra's place.
Subahu himself hides behind a tree and Marich tries to attack Ram from behind. Laxman sees this and catches Marich's word and hits him. Ram smiles seeing this, which means that he had full faith in his younger brother's strength.
Using his hands and feet, Laxman beats Marich black and blue. Meanwhile, Ram is busy doing puja. After some time Ram opens his eyes and sees Marich and Subahu running away.

Ravan and Mandodari go to gandharv kingdom. Chitrangada sees Ravan and remembers her past meeting with him. King Mitravasu welcomes Ravan.
Ravan - It is a just a coincidence. We were supposed to go to Lanka but how could I go when Chitrangada was here? Moreover, my uncles were waiting here.

Ravan meets Chitrangada. Chitrangada is very angry.
Chitrangada - I do not want to talk to you. You never treated me like your wife. Your wife is the one with whom you were wandering in forest.
Ravan - Did you not know that I was married to Mandodari and that I love Mandodari? If she came here searching for me, then what is my fault? Should I forget Mandodari?
Chitrangada - I did not think it earlier but now I have to think. The one whom I love belongs to somebody else.
Ravan - Both of you are my wives. It is just a coincidence that I married Mandodari earlier.
Chitrangada - But only the first one is true.
Ravan - You are behaving like a child. Ravan is not used to such kind of arguments. I do not want to say anything more.
Ravan goes to Mandodari's room.
Mandodari - Did you not get sleep there?
Ravan - No, I was thinking of you.
Mandodari - How long will you mislead me with these talks? Is it not true that you were busy pleasing Chitrangada?
Ravan - It is true. It is also true that I could not please her.
Mandodari - And you cannot do that. You invited trouble yourself. What was the need to get married again?
Ravan - To spread raksh culture.
Mandodari - How many more times will you marry to spread raksh culture?
Ravan - No matter how many times I marry, there is only one Mandodari. You have to do a special work. We need to leave for Lanka. But Chitrangada is upset. Now, only you can make her understand.
Manodari - OK, I will try.

Ravan's demon soldiers were kindnapping people in Dandkaranya and Namisharayanya. Villagers meet sage Vishwamitra and request that they and their kidnapped relatives be protected.
Vishwamitra assures them. Ram and Laxman say that they can kill those demons.
Vishwamitra - I trust both of you. But these demons use illusions in battle.
Laxman - Guru ji, we will destroy their illusion.
Vishwamitra remembers why Kaikeyi wanted him to train Ram and Laxman and gives permission for them that they can fight the demons in the morning.

On the other hand Mandodari meets Chitrangada.
Mandodari - He is doing a great work. Either you or I should support him.
Chitrangada - But how? You have known him for so many years. He always thinks only of you.
Mandodari - This is not true. Our meeting has always been a coincidence. Before going for the forest visit, I asked him about you in detail. He loves you a lot.
Chitrangada - But I never felt like that.
Mandodari - Such a situation never arised. Come to Lanka. All your misunderstandings will be cleared. You are my dear sister.
Mandodari hugs Chitrangada.

Ravan's uncles meet Ravan and want to know why they are delaying in leaving for Lanka.
Ravan - I am repenting my mistake. The mistake of marrying again. I am stuck in the quagmire of women. They become upset and I have to please them.
Uncles - But this was your decision. And this marriage has benefited us.
Ravan - After that marriage, I have only suffered losses. I am suffering the pain of two defeats.
Ravan remembers his defeats by Kartviryarjun and by Vali. Gandharv kingdom is in the control of raksh culture. But Mahismati and Kiskindha are not in our control. I do not know what is going to happen in future.

From there Ravan goes to Mandodari and Chitrangada. They are very happy. Ravan is pleased that Mandodari and Chitrangada became friends in such a short time.

Ram and Laxman meet the villagers.
Laxman - There is a good news. We passed guru ji's test. We will kill that demon.
Ram - Where does he live?
Villagers - He lives in the caves of mountains in the east. We will come with you.
Laxman - There is no need of so many people to kill that demon. We two are sufficient. We will kill not only that demon but all the demons.
Villagers hail Ram and Laxman.

Demons torture kidnapped villagers.
Demons - Why did you follow aryan culture when Lankesh had told you not to? Why did you meet Vishwamitra? There is only one punishment for you - death.
Before demons can kill villagers, Ram and Laxman reach there.
Laxman - Stop.
A demon (laughs) - So you two yourself came here to die. I was about to come to Siddhashram myself to kill you. Boys, death welcomes you in demon world.
Laxman - First free them.
Demon - If you want to free them, then come in their place. Let me see how powerful are the students of that sage.
At one time itself Laxman kills many demons and frees the villagers. That demon produces fire and electricity. Ram raises his hand and destroy that fire and electricity. Then the demon uses his illusory power and many such demons are seen. Laxman gets confused. He does not know who is the real demon.
Demon and his illusions - Come, kill me. These children will kill me?
Laxman - Brother, whom should I shoot?
Ram closes his eyes and remembers Hanuman. Hanuman comes there and points towards the real demon. Ram shoots and arrow at the demon and the demon dies.

Kaikeyi's messenger meets her.
Kaikeyi - Which demons have my boys killed?
The messenger names many demons and says that they all have been killed.
Meanwhile Ravan's messenger also gives the same information to Ravan. He also gives the information that sage Agastya killed many demons.

Sage Agastya meets Kuber.
Agastya - Your brother Ravan is torturing gods, aryans and sages and you are singing your divinity? In his arrogance, he thinks of himself as God and killing people. And you have forgotten your divinity and you are busy in decorating Alkapuri? Is this your duty? Talk to your brother. Make him follow the right path. Otherwise, I will kill him. Make him aware of my strength.

Ravan, Mandodari, Chitrangada and Ravan's uncles come back to Lanka.
Ravan - The death of demon soldiers is a big challenge to Ravan. This challenge is a big problem for the entire Lanka. It is a big question on my grandeur and rulership. This wound will not heal so long my kin's slayers are alive.

Kuber's messenger comes there and reads the message from Kuber.
The message is:- Dashanan, your behaviour does not suit a sage's son. You have denigrated along with demons. This is shameful for me. On your orders, the demons have made the lives of great sages like Agastya and Vishwamitra difficult. You are my brother. Perhaps, that is why you are alive.
Ravan shouts - ENOUGH. Uncles, ask him to get out of my sight.
Vibhishan - No king, do not be angry with the messenger. He is just a message carrier.
Ravan - Do not try to tell me what he is.
Prahast - Let us first hear the entire message. Then we will carry your orders.
Other uncles say that this message is a big insult to Ravan.
Messenger - Please listen first.
Ravan - How dare you? Such a messenger has no right to be alive.
Kumbhkaran - Order me, brother. I will kill him right away.
Malyavan - No Lankesh, killing a messenger is against norms. Spare him.
Ravan's uncles also stop Ravan. But Ravan kills the messenger.
