Part 46 - Happiness Is On The Way!

"You Never Understand Life Until It Grows Inside You!"

(Madhu's POV)

Ting! Tong!
"God! Rishu's come home. I am so thrilled." I tell myself & hurry to open the door. Taking a deep breathe to control my excitement, I open the door.
"Hey!" I beam at Rishu as I lean on the door shyly. He looks at me from head to toe with a frown, then he couldn't help but laugh at me.
"What's this, Madhu?" He asks me. He obviously finds my attire funny. I am wearing an over sized hoody jacket & shorts showing my long slender legs.
"Surprise!" I whisper. He shoots his eye brow up as he smirks & strolls sexily towards me while I step backward. Looking at him I pull the zipper of my jacket very slowly, biting my bottom lips till it hurts.
"Ahaan! Now I get what game you are playing." he smirks again & with his leg he kicks the door shut. Good move. We don't want any intruder.
"But why you are wearing this funny hoody jacket? Are you not wearing anything beneath it?" Rishu asks. I shake my head in no. I should have actually done that nah? Stupid me. Well, I do know why I am wearing this.
"Are you wearing my favorite red color lingerie?" he asks me as he nuzzles my hair & trails kisses on the back of my ear, my neck, my throat & then he lifts his face up to kiss my lips. I momentarily got lost in his kiss but then he reminds me by removing my jacket off my shoulders.
"How is this?" I ask. He frowns seeing my loose white T-shirt beneath the over sized jacket.
"Good" he smiles & pulls me towards him by hooking his fingers in my T-shirt & jerk me closer to him as his fingers brush my breast. Oh my!
"Hey! Gently" I panic.
"Baby, I missed you so much... its been so long... I need you. Lets not fight! I hate fighting with you. I love you so much, Baby" he says in between his kisses.
"Rishu, see this" I point to my T-shirt again.
"I love my Daddy" he reads out loud what's written on my T-shirt.
"Shouldn't that be like 'I love my hubby'? After all you love me more nah?" he asks with a wink. I glare at him. Doh!
"Is it your dad's birthday today? Is that why you have done all these candle light decorations? But it looks cozy... not so like a party night. Are you hiding something?" he ask. Yes, dumbo! I am giving hints but you are not finding it.
"How is this?" I shout again as I point to the cute baby on my T-shirt & the baby holds a card saying 'I love you Daddy'. If you still didn't get it then I am going to break your head Rishu.
"Cute baby!" he says but then again got busy kissing & licking & sucking my neck, then grazes his teeth on my jaw. Gah! He is turning me on but I need to give the good news first for which we were yearning for years now.
"You want?" I ask near his ear.
He pulls his head up from my neck & frowns at me.
"T-shirt?" he asks. God! I am not taking about the f**king T-shirt. He is making me really pissed off & making me talk in his language. I don't usually use the F word.
"Oh yes, get me one too. We can wear in matching" he says casually & pulls me again to him. Madhu! His brain is not working today so you better blurt it out.
"Not that!" I growl.
"Then" he asks utterly clueless.
"You want a baby?" I whisper as I hug him. He stiffens.
"I have you, baby" he says & kisses the top of my head as his hands rub my shoulders. Even now he didn't pick it?
"I have a baby too" I say softly.
"I know" he says.
"You do?" Finally! I smile, relieved.
"It's me right? I am you baby nah?" he asks. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Oh course my husband will always be my cute baby like how I am to him but now I am talking about our baby. A real honest to goodness baby! I thought my husband was a smart guy but no! I am wrong. He is a fool! An idiot! A moron!
"You are so dumb!" I shout.
"Hey! I am too smart & sharp!" he argues.
"Then why the hell you can't find it out?"
"Find out what?" he asks, his frown deepens. I sigh. God! I am getting tired but I couldn't help the blush creeping up on my cheeks.
"That... That I am..." I breathe. I don't know how to tell. My palms are getting sweaty. My legs are going weak. Rishu steps closer to me & brushes my hair off my face & gently places it behind my ear. Then he leans down & kisses my lips sweetly.
"Better?" he asks & he kisses me once more. I nod & determined to tell him the good news as I can't wait any more to look at the happiness on his face.
"Rishu..."
"Yes, Darling" he encourages me as he places his hands on my hips & waits patiently to tell.
"Rishu... We are... WE ARE PREGNANT!!" I whisper so softly that I am sure that hasn't heard me but the dazed expression on his face tells me otherwise.
"What?" he gasps as his grip on me loosens & he backs off a little bit.
"I am pregnant with your child, Rishu" There! I have said it loud & clear! At least now react! I look straight into his eyes but no reaction from his side. I thought he will go on his knees & hug me & kiss my belly? But he stood still. He didn't even blink his eyes.
"Rishu?" I gently call him.
"A baby?" he asks as his eyes glisters with moisture & then his face lights up with a gigantic smile.
"I'm going to be a Dad?" he asks with a smile & a tear drop rolls down his cheek. Oh don't cry my Dear Rishu. I feel my throat constrict with emotion.
"Yes" I nod my head with a huge smile.
"Oh Sweet lord! I love you, baby... I love you so much" he pulls me in his arms & kisses my lips soundly as I start crying. I couldn't control my emotions. I have been waiting to see this much happiness in my Rishu's face. Now I realized how much a baby is important to him. He is crying in joy hugging me. I too start weeping clutching his arms tightly. I have started & now I could not hold back my tears. My legs gives away & I sink to the floor & Rishu kneels down & holds me close to his chest.
"Shush! Shush! Don't cry, baby" he coos near my ear & kisses my hair.
"I am so happy, Rishu... I never thought I could ever conceive a baby... but its a miracle." I tell amidst my sob.
"Yes, it's hard to believe" he says as gently feels my belly. I stop breathing. This feels great.
"When do you came to know... about the baby?" he asks still caressing my belly lovingly.
"Today! Trishna came to see me & we were talking about how to seduce you & get on my way with you into love making..." I tell blushing & he chuckles.
"And?" he is so impatient. He sits properly on the floor & leans his back on the wall & pulls me on his lap as I rest my head on his chest. He still hasn't taken off his hand from my belly. He is holding it protectively. I love the feel of his hand on me. I feel safe. We feel safe.
"Wait a minute" I stop & lean up. He looks at me puzzled. I pull my T-shirt off & throw it aside. Now I am only in my bra & shorts. This way he can caress my bare skin. This feels even better. He smiles & again starts caressing my stomach.
"Do you feel something strange?" he asks.
"No!"
"How many months our baby is?" he asks eagerly.
"I am two months pregnant"
"What?" he couldn't believe so am I.
"Did you check with the doctor?" he asks. I nod.
"When?"
"When I fainted this noon, Trishna took me to her gynecologist." She is really smart. The moment I fainted & after she sprinkled water on my face & got me back around, she took me straight to her Gyn specialist guessing I must be pregnant. I should grudgingly agree that Trishna as more knowledge in sex life.
"You fainted?" Rishu panics. "And you didn't bother to tell?" he asks angrily but worry edging on his eyes.
"Relax, Rishu. I am fine." I rub his chest to calm him down. His eyes soften & he kisses my forehead.
"You are alright nah, baby? He asks in concern. I nod smiling.
"Madhu, you should tell me first whatever it is. I dont like you hiding things from me just because I worry. Promise me you will tell everything to me?"
"Okay, baba! Promise" I promise him.
"So what the good Doctor told?"
"Oh Rishu... the Doctor was really good. He was so hot & handsome. I was drooling at him all the while when he test me."
"He?" Rishu asks with a frown. "We are changing the Doctor then!" he says.
"Oh No! I will get a heart attack if you do so." I repeat his words which he said when I told him to change his Doctor Naira.
He scowls at me. "I am sorry." I peck his cheek.
"He was surprised that I didn't get any symptoms or I didn't bother about missing my periods..." I stop & frown. Then my eyes well up again. All the while I was pregnant but I didn't know... & if I had known before itself then nothing could have happened to Rishu. My poor darling husband suffered because I could not realize I was pregnant. Shit!
"Hey!" Rishu gets what I am thinking so he immediately cradles my head against his chest & kisses my head over & over again.
"Rishu... if I had found out at least two weeks back then you wouldn't have had to deal with so much stress & suffer in pain right? Its all my mistake."
"Stop blaming yourself, Darling. You didn't know. See, you always had irregular periods so its not your fault for not keeping track on with your last periods date. Even I missed to notice you... I mean the changes in you. I missed to notice this little one growing in you" he circles his fingers over my belly making me feel ticklish so I stop him by keeping my hands on his.
"I felt dizziness when you were in hospital but I thought It was due to fatigue."
"It's okay. Just forget it." Rishu kisses my temple. He is so sweet. He will always erase my guilty or uneasy feeling.
"Baby, stay safe here. Papa & Mama loves you so much" I tell our baby looking at my flat belly as a tear drop falls on Rishu's hand which is on top of my stomach.
"She will be safe here because she has a lovely mother to take care of her. And No more tears, okay?" Rishu says wiping my tears away & kissing my soft lips.
"Did you took a scan?" He asks me. I shake my head in no.
"The Doctor advised me to take a scan today to see the baby's growth & also it's already late but I only told him not... as I want you to be with me when I see our baby for the first time." I shrug.
"Thank you, Darling" he smiles & kisses my temple.
"So you didn't tell anyone yet?" he asks.
"Nope. You are the first. Well, Trishna knows about my pregnancy as she was with me but apart from her I didn't tell anyone of our family members."
"Okay, we will give them the good news tomorrow."
"Okay. And tomorrow you will take me for scanning right?"
"Of course, darling. I am dying to see our cutie pie" he says with a heart melting smile.
"Yes, I want you to introduce to my hotty Doctor too & you know what?"
"What?" he asks disinterested.
"His name is also Rishab" my eyes twinkle. "How I wished to marry a doctor" I sigh. Rishu roles his eyes & then bites my earlobe making me yelp.
"So the Doctor Rishab is handsome than your husband Rishab?" he asks.
"It's actually close... but you win, my darling hubby"
"Really?" he asks incredulously. You don't trust me?
"Yep! You win! So no contesting! Besides he is married too" Ah! This piece of information made him flash a smile at me.
"I love you, baby"
"And I, you" then we sit in silence. We could hear only the sound of our breathing & heart beats. Soon one more member will be joining us. A very special member. Our little baby. Our world! Thanks to the Almighty for putting an end to our worry & bringing happiness in our lives.
"You made me the happiest man alive on the planet, Madhu" he says resting his cheek on my head. I smile happily. Finally I could make him happy!
"Come, we will have dinner & then I will put you to bed."
"Yes, I am hungry... not only for food"
"Then what else?" he asks. What is wrong with him? He is so blunt tonight!
"For what you had in your head when you entered in to our house"
"Sex? No! No! Its not in the agenda now. We can't"
"Why?" I ask with a frown.
"No, Madhu. We should be careful. I don't want to hurt the baby" he says as he takes his hand finally from my stomach realizing he might be hurting the baby. God! He has started being over protective now itself.
"Nothing like that Rishu. We can have sex while pregnancy"
"I am not going to take any risk. Not with our baby's life."
"If the Doctor says its fine?"
"Then we will think about it" he is still reluctant. Why he always makes me sound so desperate?
"Better I will call Trish. She has prior experience. Or you call Sultan to know for yourself whether they had sex when Dipali was pregnant or not?" I suggest.
"We will wait one day. Lets confirm it with your good looking Doctor" he says in an annoyed tone. I sigh sadly. So no sex tonight too? I pout! I should have broken the good news after we made love.
Then he picks me up in his arms. "Hey! Put me down. You should not carry heavy weight." I worry instantly as my hand caresses his chest.
"You are not heavy weight.. you are light weight. And stop worrying about me. You need to take care of your health as it's not only you now. You have my little heart so let me look after you both" he is back to control. I shake my head but smile happily. I love this man. My man! I put my arms around his neck & kiss his jaw & let him carry me to the kitchen then he places me on the kitchen counter. I watch him gracefully moving around the kitchen as he dishes out on the plate, then he feeds me with his hand & I feed him back. After dinner we went to bed & cuddling in each other arms we slept peacefully.

"Hello Doctor Rishab!" I greet him with a smile.
"Hello Mrs. Madhubala. Welcome back" he smiles at me & gestures to sit.
"This is my husband Rishab & this is my hotty Doctor" I introduce each other. Rishu glares at me for using the word hotty but I could see the Doctor smiling at me. It's feels odd to introduce two persons of same name.
They politely shake their hands.
"So you ready for the scan?" Doctor asks me. I look at Rishu, he smiles at me & then I look back at the Doctor & nod my assent.
"Well, then we will proceed." he asks his nurse to show us the scanning room. Rishu & I follow the nurse & within minutes Dr. Rishab joins us.
Rishu helps me to lie on the bed & I roll my shirt a little up exposing my belly. Rishu stands beside the bed & holds my hand & squeezes it. I know he is nervous so am I.
Then the doctor puts some cold gel on my belly for lubricating & gently places the transducer on my belly & moves around. Where are you hiding baby? I lift my head up a little to see the screen clearly.
"Don't move" Doctor says as he concentrates on the screen. Rishu holds my head in place with one hand & with other he holds my hand.
"There" Doctor presses a button & freezes the screen to show our baby clearly but nothing I find clear there on the monitor. "Your baby"
"Is that 'kidney bean' our child?" I ask. Doctor chuckles for addressing our baby kidney bean. Rishu scowls at me.
"Am I having twins?" I ask. Rishu looks at me wide eyed.
"No, why?" Doctor asks me.
"So what's that two kidney shaped things?"
"It's not things. Babies" Rishu corrects me. I bite my tongue & mouth a sorry. He can be really sensitive.
"No those are just bubbles. Only this is your baby. Singular" Doctor Rishab clarifies & clearly points out our baby.
"Only one? I hoped for twins. I love twins" I tell them. I have read somewhere that if you undergo treatments for conceiving then it might lead to multiple births but I guess thats not in my case. I sigh.
"It's hard to handle twins Mrs. Madhubala. I am speaking in experience because my wife gave birth to twins & they are keeping her running on her toes & I have my share of working too as they are very demanding & naughty kids." I love kids being naughty. I feel like naughty kids are always smart.
"Oh really?" I asks with a smile. "How old are they? & what's their names?" I ask.
"They are four years old. Aarav, my son, the elder one & Aaradhana, my daughter, my little angel."
Rishu smiles hearing that. "That's so nice" he comments.
"Rishu..."
"Yes" Both my husband & Doctor Rishab says in unison.
"Um... I called my husband" I tell embarrassed.
"Oh, I am sorry, my wife calls me Rishu only." Doctor grins sheepishly. "She calls me Doctor too"
"Wife calling her doctor husband Doctor must be really funny." I comment.
"Yeah... Initially she used it to tease me but then I started liking it. She makes me love my profession more." Dr. Rishab tells. Rishu & I listen to his love life with a smile. Seems they are so loving couple like us.
"Rishu... lets have two kids... one boy & one girl. Like Doctor. Okay?"
"Let's have this one baby for now & we will think about having another in future." he says softly.
"Okay" I agree.
"Doctor!" I call.
"Yes"
"Can we know the gender of the baby?" I ask eagerly.
"Well, you can but not now. It's too soon to determine the gender of the baby. We could find that in the next scan around five months."
"Oh!"
"Well, is our baby perfectly alright?" Rishu asks in concern.
"Yes, Mr. Kundra. The baby is perfectly alright & the growth is also normal as it should be for a two months old baby." Doctor declares. Both Rishu & I visibly relax. Thanks goodness, our baby is healthy so far & I will make sure to keep it safe & sound.
"Are we done?" I ask.
"Don't you want to hear your baby's heart beat, Mrs. Madhubala?" Doctor asks me.
"Can we hear the heart beat now?" I ask in surprise.
"Of course you can" Doctor smiles. I squeeze Rishu's hand. I am so thrilled. Then the nurse turns on the speaker & we hear soft heart beats of our baby.
"133 per minute. Thats the normal rate of heart beat for a two month old baby. Good!"
"Omg! This surely is the most lovely sound I have ever heard in my life" Rishu tells emotionally. I can't agree with him more.
"I love you" I tell to Rishu. He turns & looks down at me with a smile. Then he leans down & kisses my forehead lovingly.
"Congratulations!" Doctor Congrats us. We thank him, smiling.
"I will get you some pics for you to take home" he says & walks away. I wipe the goofy gel from my belly with a tissue & then Rishu helps me down from the bed & gives me a little hug. I can never be this happy.
"Rishu, I need the restroom" I tell him. My bladder will burst if I didn't pee. They made me drink too much water so that the ultrasound scan will be clear & now it's done so I can pee.
"Okay, baby. I will wait for you"
After peeing I join them in the Doctor's cabin.
"You should start with some folic acid & vitamins." He says & scribbles something on his note pad. "Generally ultrasound scans are less harmful but still we will avoid any further invasive test as everything seems normal with the baby. We can do one scan around five months & one more at the end... Few weeks before your delivery" he instructs.
"What about her diet, Doctor?" Rishu asks.
"I will give you the does & don'ts pamplet & also a diet chat & you could go accordingly."
"Okay" Rishu nods.
"Any other queries?" Doctor asks.
"Well... I have something to ask." I say.
"Feel free to ask Mrs. Madhubala"
"Can we resume our sex life?" I ask brazenly. I am not at all shy.
I find the doctor's lip quiver up into a smile & turn to see Rishu rubbing his temple. He is obviously embarrassed. I often embarrass him.
"Of course. As long as you feel fit & healthy & willing there is no need to cut down with it."
"See, I told you right?" I ask Rishu grinning. He nods his head irately.
"Then we will take your leave, Doctor" I smile at him. He smiles back. Then Rishu takes my hand & we walk out of his cabin.

After we return from hospital, we had our lunch & I was so tired & went to take a short nap but it went long. Now, I see the time to be 6 in the evening. God! I have over slept. But that's okay. I can stay awake late tonight & succeed in the mission I have been failing miserably for past weeks now.
"Rishu..." Sleeply I walk to our living room only to find our family cooped up in. When they all came?
"Hi all!" I greet them with a smile. I m actually surprised to see them here. I turn to look at Rishu. I called & told them & they are here. He says in action as he is standing behind them so that they cant see him.
"Madhu, come here & sit" my mom-in-law, Radha calls me. I walk willingly & sit between her & my mom. "Oh who we have here?" Radha aunty coos to the baby. They both touch my stomach & ask me how many months am I? This feels weird. I dont mind Rishu touching, caressing, kissing my tummy. In fact i love it. But when my moms touch it makes me feel like they are invading my private space.
"Two months" I whisper.
"Finally my son will stop worrying about you or not having a baby." Moham uncle says as if a huge weight has lifted off his chest.
"Dad!" Rishu scolds.
"Mohan, don't upset her." Radha aunty chides him.
"No. Its fine. Actually he is right. Rishu is happy now & that's what I wanted... I mean we all wanted. I know you love your son uncle... So I am sorry for blaming you to be the part of Rishu's suffering." I apologize. I don't feel ashamed of bowing down in front of elders. I know I was rude with him in hospital but I don't want to hold any grudge or hatred mainly when I know he said all that because he loves his son so much.
"I told you nah, Malik? That your daughter has grown up? See, how maturedly she is talking?" Mohan uncle laughs. I look at him blankly. "I am sorry too, Madhu."
"No. No. Uncle... Please."
"Stay blessed beta. Take care of our family's heir." He keeps his hand on my head & blesses me. He sounds more like a businessman than a father. But that's okay. When I look up at Rishu, he is smiling at me proudly.
While I talk with my dad, Radha aunty gives instructions to Rishu about how to take care of me. Is there a need for instructions? Already my husband is unbelievably over protective. I sigh. I just wish he doesn't annoy me.
"Rishu, she is still in her second month only. So don't tell anyone till she completes her first trimester. May be you could share with your close friends Sultan, Trishna & Nisha... Not to all okay? I don't want bad eyes to fall on my unborn grand child." She strictly says.
"Okay" Rishu nods.
"Rishu.. Main thing you should not loose your patience. She will be ratty & snappy as her hormones will run wild but you should be patient with her. No fights! No scoldings! Okay?"
"Okay Mom. I get it. What next?" Rishu asks.
"Make sure she eats on time. Dont let her be empty stomach for long. If she protest to eat then you force feed her but never let her be hungry. She should eat a lot as she will be eating for two now. Besides, if she eats healthy & on time, it will mostly avoid morning sickness." Hmm... That's a valid tip. I should follow my diet strictly.
"Don't let her munch unhygienic foods & strictly no to street food" god! Just by hearing street food I carve to eat paani poori.
"Rishu... Take care of her nah... She is still a baby." Radha aunty says which makes me laugh. My father in law says I have grown up & my mom in law says I am still a baby. How funny?
"Mom, you don't worry. I will take care of her so relax"
"Rishu... If you wish you both could move to our house." Mohan uncle suggests. Oh no! I want our privacy.
"No dad. We will be fine here." Rishu politely denies his offer & I m so glad. I smile my thanks to Rishu. He smiles back.
After hearing the same set of advise from my mother & after being hugged & blessed by our parents, they decide to leave but we insists them to have dinner with us. They very graciously agreed & we had a nice family dinner & after that they left for their respective homes.

"Tired?" Rishu asks me. I nod & we cuddle in the bed.
"Sleep" he kisses my forehead & then lets my head rest on his shoulders.
"I am glad my dad & you get along well." He tells me.
I smile. "He is like my dad only, Rishu. Of course I do fight with my dad & I very righteously fought with Mohan uncle too. But I know that's not a way to talk. In the heat of the moment we both shared few heated words but that's all. I don't want him to be mad at me, mainly when we all have something so very precious & happy to share & think about it." I say as I softly rub my belly.
"Love you, baby" Rishu whispers.
"You said it to me or to your baby?"
"To you because you will always be my first baby. I love you" he kisses my lips.
Then he leans down & kisses my belly. "Good night, sweetheart" he coos at my stomach. I caress his hair feeling ecstatically happy.
Then he settles back & puts his ear set on his ears.
"Rishu! You are going to sleep then why you need your ear sets? Are you going to hear songs? No! Then you will sleep forgetting to stop the songs." He needs rest too. Some good time of sleep will keep your health better.
"Nope" he stops me when I try to pull his ear set.
"I want to hear this. Then only I will can sleep well." He says.
"What's that you are hearing? Let me hear too." I pull one side loop & push it inside my ear.
Lub dub lub dub lub dub...
Oh my my! Its our baby's heart beat!
"Rishu... The amount of love you possess for me & for our child is unbelievable & touching." I tell him as my eyes got moist. His love knows no bounds.
"We are lucky to have you in our lives" I whisper as he wipes my stray tear.
"I am the lucky one here. Now sleep, baby" he kisses my forehead. We both went to sleep hearing our baby's soft heart beats.

I am sure those who all have read LSAM season 1 would have guessed who the doctor was & associate with the kids name too. I really missed my lsam1 Doctor Rk so brought him here... See, why go for another doctor when I have one at my home?? Lol!
So he will be appearing in next two updates I guess... So kindly imagine your favorite hero in Doctor Rishab's place as I know it will be hard to imagine two Rk's together... Lol! I will go with my darling Sidharth Malhotra. Hehe...

I really enjoyed writing this particular update so much as I love writing on pregnancy phase. I am sure i will love writing the upcoming updares too as it will be showing rishbala with their baby... * sigh* just 4 more updates to go... It will be Fully happy with funny moments...Rishbala romance... Their baby... Friends & family. Hope you all will like it.
