Ch 24 : Her Cheerfulness
It was the day of wedding, the bride & groom were taking vows around the holy fire while guests were showering flowers on them, blessing the couple. Rey look at his wife, who was looking ever so cheerful, beaming with happiness while gazing at the couple taking vows.
He wonder, how much happy she must be when they got married? If he had paid attention, then he would have known. His inner conscious mocked him. A sudden sadness crept in his heart, knowing how ignorant he was toward his marriage in initial days. He didn't even paid attention to his bride, didn't even tried knowing her name let alone about her
The guilt will be there in his heart, for taking such long time to accept taani as his wife. But in this, he was grateful to her, he respect her for the understanding she showed at that time. To be honest, he never expected her to be to understanding and patience toward him. But she surprised him, she was childish yet mature and this is what he loves about her. She was not like others, she was special, unique and the best part was, she is HIS.
"REY! They are looking so cute na?" Taani squealed, her voice brought him back in to reality. He look at his over excited wife. Rey chuckled softly at her.
"But not more than my cute wife." Rey mumbled, smiling down at her as she blushed slightly.
"You know, you can give tough competition to a baby when it comes to cuteness." Rey whispered in his huskiest low tone, a shiver ran down her spine while her cheeks heated up. Rey chuckled softly and stole a kiss from her, making her gasp and pushed him away slightly in shyness.

"Taani, can i ask you something?"
"Yeah-"
"I took almost 3 months to accept our marriage, accept you as my wife, don't you hate me for that? I mean, i'm sure, like every normal girl, you have dreams, expectations from your marriage and I, kind a ruined them all-" Rey asked her, he slide his hand in hers and pulled her toward him, they were in their room, talking to each other.
"Rey! Why will i hate you? I can never hate you, atleast not for the reason you gave. I understand why you never accepted the relation earlier. And you know, i'm happy that you took your time and accepted this relation on your own will, not by anyone's force." Taani cupped his face and spoke lovingly. Rey look into her eyes, all he could see, was love & respect for him.
"But don't you think, what i did to you was wrong-"
"No, it wasn't wrong. Galat woh hota jab aap mujhe bina kisi emotional attachment and feelings ke apnate aur humara rishta aage le jaate, when our hearts are not connected. Woh ek sacrifice hota. Aur mein aapka pyaar banna chahti hu, samjhota nahi." Taani said to him, letting him know about her feelings. Rey was staring deep into her eyes, her eyes were window to her soul. He could read her, what are her feelings, he knows. She was perfect in every aspect, a perfect companion who understand him and his unsaid feelings.
"GOD! Once i return back home, I'm going to give a grand 'thank you party' to mom." Rey mumbled as he pulled her in his embrace and hugged her tightly.
"Kyun?" Taani asked him confusingly.
"For making you my wife. Even if I thank her till my last breath, then also it won't be enough. This marriage is the best thing happened to me." Rey confessed, making her heart swelled with happiness.
