-------------------
After some days,

" I am not letting Mr and Mrs Gupta attend this wedding. They will surely cast their black magic of revenge on Akash and Payal and will divert their attention from love to something I would never want." The ultimatum with which Khushi enunciated each word was sending shivers across everyone's spines in the Shantivan's living room as no one dared to cross-question Khushi in this matter.

The Raizadas knew that Khushi's hatred towards her parents was completely justified. Since childhood they never gave time for her as they were busy in their own worlds, planted the seed of revenge in the young mind of her brother which made him lose his love, his life and resulted in Khushi's forced marriage. At the same time their hearts went out for the parental affection of Mr and Mrs Gupta who wouldn't get a chance to see their daughter's marriage. But their hearts told them that their Arnav would surely do something towards this issue and maybe he would be successful in convincing his wife.

Khushi was seated on the bed looking at her brother Shyam's photo with teary eyes. Pain pricked her heart and her eyes as she recalled her brother's excitement of his sisters' marriages. Such an irony of the destiny it was that he couldn't witness the marriage of neither of his sisters but he was one of the main reasons for their marriages to take place.

Arnav placed his hand on her shoulder while Khushi for once didn't flinch at his touch but enveloped him in a tight embrace as she sobbed bitterly,

" Bhaiyya killed himself for me, Arnav. I am such a bad sister. I killed my own brother."

Arnav gently caressed her back as he placed tiny kisses over her hair to console her as he spoke in between those kisses,

" He didn't kill himself for you, Khushi. Jijaji killed himself for the love he had for you and Di. He killed himself because he was unable to see tears in your eyes due to him, and now if you cry, wasting his sacrifice, how would Jijaji be at peace? Jijaji would have wanted you and Payal to be smiling always and not crying like this. You told that you are a bad sister. If you were a bad sister then would your brother keep him so close to his heart that it still beats for you? But surely in one thing you have disappointed him."

Khushi looked up with a questioning look appearing on her tear-stained pale face with her eyes boring into that of Arnav's seeking answers.

" I have disappointed him? How, Arnav?"

" By not letting his parents attend the wedding of his sister." Arnav's calm and composed tone was effective in soothing Khushi's burning pain, but this sentence of his surely made her furious.

" They are the people who led to this situation, Arnav. They deserve this. They destroyed 4 four lives in their fire of revenge and I cannot even do this to them. How fair!" Sarcasm dripped again from Khushi's voice as the past rang in her ears as the sound of destructive dance of death.

" They were as angry as you are right now, Khushi. You have the maturity, the strength to not take any drastic step but your mother had experienced the same pain as you are experiencing right now when your Mausi died. If you have lost your brother, your parents have lost their son and their daughter Khushi too. Now you are asking them to lose the right of being a part of their daughter's wedding too? Jijaji would have never wanted this to happen. If you can forgive me and Jijaji, why not your parents, who have lost so much more than we all have lost, who are still loving you not caring about your hatred for them. I have lost my parents, Khushi and I know how painful it is. You have your parents and still you are living in the pain of not having parents. If not for someone else, then for yourself, let go off this grudge against them, Khushi. Please." Arnav's maturity and words had completely cleared off every piece of questions from Khushi's heart as she lost herself in deep thoughts.

She knew that her heart craved for her parents, because she knew that they were suffering without her and she was suffering without them. Her heart knew that she was cruel to not let her parents take part in the last rites of their son, but even after knowing how cruel she was being, if she didn't correct it, there wouldn't be more unfortunate and ignorant lady than her.

" I don't know why I couldn't see the goodness in you before, Arnav. But now all I see is goodness in every action, every word of yours. Thank you so much for making me see what I really wanted to see but didn't have the strength to see. I was to scared to accept that I was being cruel because I wanted to punish them. But taking part in their child's marriage is every parent's right and I cannot steal that right from them. I still hate them for what they did but it is high time I let go off those feelings because that is destroying the present we have right now for something that happened in the past. Thank you so much for guiding me, Arnav. I don't know how I will be able to express my gratitude.."

" By not thanking me, Khushi. Come on, you are not some random person that you will keep thanking me like this. In fact if someone has to thank, it is me. I was not a human before you entered my life but since you have entered, you made the heart inside my chest beat, filled me with soul and completed me. You have always been more mature than me, Khushi. You were just too much in pain and didn't know whom to share it with which leaded to this confusion. I am glad that I was able to help you in some way or the other." Arnav's words made her whole body fill up with warmth due to the compassion and affinity with which he spoke to her. Khushi smiled affectionately at him filling his heart with joy as she said,

" I will call Mummy and Papa and will ask them to come tonight, after all Unki Beti Ki Shaadi Hone Wali Hai."

Arnav nodded affirmatively at her as she went out to call her parents while his eyes trailed on the path which her feet had stepped on with a loving smile playing on his lips and dreamy look swimming in his eyes.

-------------------------------
Wedding,

Every ritual was taking place successfully while Khushi was dressed in the red lehenga-choli gifted by her dear husband for her, but she was dreading one ritual that would take place, which she knew would shake her from within, and it finally arrived.

Khushi almost felt tears escape her eyes as the priest called out to the brother of the bride. She felt guilty over her brother's death all over again as her heart bled in pain yet again. She shut her eyes, as her mind was clogged but she had to open her eyes as the mantras had begun again, showing that they had found the brother of the bride.

Shocked to the core, Khushi garnered courage to look at the altar where she saw Arnav standing in the place of Payal's brother, completing rituals on the behalf of Shyam as he fulfilled the responsibilities placed on his shoulders by Shyam.

Tears filled in her eyes but they weren't of pain, but they were of regret that she couldn't identify his kind heart much before, happiness that destiny chose someone like Arnav for her, and pride on someone who had managed to win over her heavily guarded heart. That was not just the second Payal's and Akash's souls were becoming one, that was the second, Khushi realized her true feelings for Arnav.

A genuine and proud smile played on her lips as tears of ecstasy of love appeared in her face as her soul shouted,

" I love you, Arnav!"

How would Khushi's confession take place?
