think I have worn a lot of clothes that I got punished for and I have realised that I am going to get punished for the rest of my life if I don't stop. Basically I have always enjoyed wearing a sari. I think it's a garment that accepts and embraces you whatever your height, your shape, your colour. It is just a very versatile garment and you can wear it depending on how you wear it. You can look sexy, you can look elegant, and you can look homely. So in spite of that I am just going to wear it and if people don't like it, too bad!"

The Te3n actress also revealed how she tried hard to fit in and spoke of her struggles with style, she said, " Before that I was doing things to make people happy and they weren't happy and neither was I. So I just decided to focus on my happiness and then people were like oh wow'."

Vidya spoke of the magic of a sari and added,"Across our country people have variety of saris, fabric, and style so it gives me the versatility I want and yet there is some part of me that doesn't change too much. It helps me adhere to that too."

Clearly for all those who were hoping that Vidya would ditch the nine yard drape and experiment with some western wear the wait will continue. Boombat Balan ain't ditching her sexy saris, not right now
