Ch 18 : Her Laziness
After the meeting was over, she stepped inside her cabin and slumped down on the couch, feeling tired after the meeting which was longer than expected. She leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes too relax and soon she slipped into slumber due to tiredness. After some time, Rey entered the cabin with their lunch since they had skipped lunch due to meeting. He placed the lunch on the desk and turned to her, a small smile touched his cheeks seeing her sleeping like a baby.
He sat on the couch beside her, he admired her angelic face. After last night, things have changed between them for good. They hadn't talked to each other about their kiss, nor they want to, they want to keep the moment special and live it, without questioning it.
"Taani-" He called out for her softly. He shifted close to her and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear which was falling over her face. He again called out for her, she moaned in her sleep when he shook her. Without opening her eyes, she spoke lazily.
"Let me sleep."
Rey chuckled, even her laziness is cute.
"Taani, have your lunch then I'll take you back home, there you can sleep as much as you want." Rey said to her, he could see she was really tired and since their meeting is over, he wants to take her home where she can take rest.
"Let me sleep na. I didn't slept whole night." Taani mumbled, she turned her face away from him and made herself more comfortable on the couch.
"Why?" Rey couldn't help but question her, he was curious to know the reason behind sleepless night his wife had spent yesterday.
"I was thinking about you" Taani mumbled in sleep, making him smile. He knew she was answering him without thinking as she wants to sleep.
"What you were thinking about me?" Rey questioned her again, excited to know her answer which was quite amusing to himself. He was behaving like a teenager, a love struck teenager. He corrected himself mentally. But then brushing his thoughts aside, he concentrate on his wife.
"You, me, kiss. You kissed me. It makes me feel..weird..ticklish." Taani answered him, she was in half sleep. Wasn't thinking before speaking, what comes in her heart, she spoke. Finally, her mind registered what she had blurted out. Her eyes snapped open and she straighten her posture. She look at her husband who was looking at her intensely.
She grew conscious under his penetrating gaze. Rey sensed her nervousness, he shifted close to her and cupped her face. He made her look into his eyes. Taani bit her lower lip in nervousness, but the warmth wash over her heart as she look deep into his eyes.
"I love when you, the tigress turns into a kitten." Rey whispered before he leaned, making her heart beat faster than usual. There was an inch gap between their lips, he glance at her before he placed his lips into hers, pulling her in passionate kiss which made her mind go blank. Her heart burst with thousands of emotions, she was experiencing for the first time.
