PART 10
RECAP: Sanyukta has to go for her doctor's appointment and randhir insists on going with her.
In exactly 15 minutes, Sandhir met downstairs near the hall. Looking at his smiley face, Sanyukta understood that Randhir had managed to postpone the meeting. Happily, she linked her arms in his and set off.
IN THE CAR

The song was playing in the radio, and Sanyukta was contentedly sitting with her head on randhir's shoulder, who was driving. He had insisted on driving himself and had sent the driver off. He looked at sanyukta through the mirror and smiled at her contented-looking face. Within half an hour, he had reached Jupiter Hospital.
IN THE DOCTORS CABIN
Sanyukta had been taken for her sonography. She was lying there, on the table with randhir sitting beside her on a stool. They looked at the screen. Very soon, a small dot came into focus which the doctor said was the foetus. It gave Randhir immense pleasure to look at it. He squeezed Sanyu's hand.
"Ek second..." randhir said, looking at the screen carefully. "Whats this other dot??"
"Well, dont tell me u didnt know that!!" the doctor said, surprised. The look on sandhir's face clearly said they didnt. "Well, u can see 2 dots, right?? So thats clear...there are 2 babies!!"
A brief moment of speechlessness later, sanyukta spoke.. "M...matlab...we have TWINS??" she asked. The doctor smiled. "Yes sanyukta...tumhaare pet me twins hain"
Sanyukta looked up at randhir with glistening eyes. The doctor left the room, in order to give the couple some privacy. Sanyukta got up from the examining table and stood up. As soon as she did that, randhir swept her into a tight hug. They hugged, so close as not to let even air pass between them. Truly a happy moment, they cherished it. "Sanyu...u hv given me my life sanyu...and my-my own family!! I love you sanyukta..." Randhir spoke, a thousand emotions flitting in his heart. "Randhir, remember i had promised u that i will give you all the love of your family that you were deprived of? U will get that love from your own family randhir." Sanyukta said, and kissed his cheek. He hugged her again, n nestled her into his chest.
Back in the cabin, the doctor performed the routine check up and gave sum advice to her and randhir, and then it was done.
IN THE CAR
"Toh batao randhir...kesa laga pehli baar apne bacchon ko dekhke??" Sanyukta asked. She did not know that one was a girl child since randhir had not told her that. He wanted her to have a normal, happy pregnancy and also the fun of guessing and getting surprise at the end.
"Bohoth accha laga sanyu...Pehli baar tumhare sath aya...Infact pehli baar se ana chahiye tha...i was so busy k nehi aa paya..m so bad" he said, trying to avoid her gaze by concentrating on the road.
"Randhir...esa kuch nhi he haan...busy toh tum aj bhi the. But ayein na?? U r the best husband in the world. Aur woh bhi sirf mere!" she asserted, pecking him on the cheeks. He smiled, wrapping an arm around her. Using one hand, he skillfully maneouvered the car around, but was met with a glare from Sanyukta.
"Yeh kya randhir...ghar ka raasta bhul gaye?? Sidha jana tha tumne turn le liya. Dhyan kahaan he tumhara?? She asked, putting her hands on her hips. He leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose.
"Tum chalo toh...ham ghar nehi jaa rhe he abhi. Mene socha k ab chutti le hi li hain, toh uska fayada uthaya jaye...kyun??" he asked her, and then winked. Confused, sanyukta kept quiet. But she didnt need to, not for long
"EEE!!!"
Randhir's concentration was broken by the sound of a chipmunk squealing.
"Uffo sanyukta!! kya tha yeh?? Do you plan on tearing my eardrums apart??" Asked an exasperated randhir
"Randhiiir...ham CCD (Cafe coffee day) aa gye!! Ham date pe jaa rhe he?" Asked sanyukta, cutely. Randhir could never seem to resist her when she got this cute. He quickly pecked her lips. "Haan...mene socha aaj pehli baar mene babies ko dekha hain, toh kuch toh celebration banta hain...he na?" he said, and winked. "Let me help you out, mrs sayukta randhir singh shekhavat" he said chivalrously, n winked. He opened d car door and gently led her out, guiding her to their favorite table. "One black coffee without sugar" said sanyukta, placing randhir's order for him before he could open his mouth. The waiter noted it down and turned 2 randhir. "And one cold coffee with icecream" he told the waiter, placing sanyukta's order, and winked at her.
Minutes later, their order arrived. Sanyukta took hold of the huge glass placed in front of her and happily began slurping her way through the icecream.Randhir looked at her cute face for a while and then began on his own coffee.
Once done, randhir paid d bill n helped sanyukta back into the car, most chivalrously. Sanyukta giggled at her sadu-husband-turned-gentleman randhir. He imitated her giggling and himself got back into d car.
"Waise randhir" sanyukta asked, when they were back in the car and driving home. "Tumhe baby girls chahiye? Ya baby boys chahiye?" Randhir smiled at her innocence. He already knew that she was carrying a baby girl so she had the opton of having one girl n one boy or both girls. But he wasn't going to let sanyukta in on that so he pretended to think.
"Hmm...i think i would like to have one baby girl and one baby boy. What about u?" he asked. "Mujhe?? Hmm...mujhe toh do do baby girls chahiye. Toh phir ham teeno girls milke tumhe pareshaan karenge!!" she laughed. "Haww sanyu!! Not fair haan" pouted randhir. "Nhi...ek baby girl aur ek baby boy. Phir ek mere team me aur ek tumhare dal me. Phir hogi na FAIR competition!!" He said. "Kyun?? Do do baby girls honge toh tum nhi jeet paaoge kya?? Haa...randhir singh shekhavat! Topper of FITE... apne hi baby girls se darr gaya??" she giggled. 'Randhir singh shehavat KISISE nahi darta! U get that?"
"Pata hain mujhe...mera hero kisise nahi darta" sanyukta said. "Ab tumhara konsa hero agaya...main toh khudki baat kr rha tha...oh..dont tell me tum kisi hrithik roshan ya akshay kumar types k hero ki baat kr rhi ho! Come on sanyu!!" he mocked.
"Chey chey... mera hero inmese koi thodi na hoga! Main toh inki koi films bhi nhi dekhti. Mera hero toh koi aur hain. Tumhe pata hain rd? Mera hero na duniya ka saaabse best insaan hain. Woh action man toh hain hi, par saathme woh loving aur caring bhi hain. Main toh ussey bohooot pyar karti hoon. Guess woh kaun hain??" she asked.
"Hein...aisa konsa actor agaya jo action sequences bhi kar leta hain, loving bhi hain aur TUM bhi uski fan ho? And u LOVE him?? Yeh kaun hain??" he asked, clueless.
"Randhir...tum bhi kitne bade dumbo ho...accha thike, main tumhe ek aur clue deti hoon. Yeh banda duniya ka best insaan aur best pati hain aur..."
"Aur...??" Randhir asked, getting little jealous of this new actor in d market of whom sanyukta seemed to be such a huge fan. "Ek aur hint do sanyu"
"Aur...woh mere bacchon k papa hain" she said, half smiling, half blushing. The look of jealousy on randhir's face quickly turned in to a huge smile as realizatio dawned upon him. "Matlab woh..."
"Arrey haan buddhu!! Woh TUM hi ho!! Tum hi toh mere hero ho, randhir!" she said, and leaned in to give him a quick peck on his cheek. He smiled.
"You look so good when you smile, randhir" said sanyukta, five minutes after he had given her his best smile. "Why dont u?"
"Why dont I what??" he asked.
"Smile often" she said, and winked as randhir took her in a side hug. She rested her head on his chest listening to his heartbeats as randhir drove with one hand.
