Ch 58 : I'll Be There For You
Taani was looking at him, she had seen drastic change in him, and his actions had assured her that the change is permanent. He regret his past behavior and mending his mistakes.
"I had forgiven you, Rey, but i need time to forget everything and start a fresh. I can forget what happened 5 years back, because i understand it happened due to misunderstanding created by my cousin, but what about the incidents took place between us after your return? It will take time for me to forget how you treated me, slept with me just as a part of a deal. I let you touch me because i love you, but whenever i used to see hatred in your eyes, it made me feel low of myself. I felt like i'm selling my body-" Taani poured her heart out infront of him, for the first time. He wiped her tears gently, while his eyes were filled with unshed tears. The damage he had cost to her innocent heart, was too big.
"I know, I did a great mistake. And you can take as much as time you want. I won't ever force you for anything. But thanks for forgiving me, it means alot to me." Rey whispered softly, kissing her forehead. He hide her in his embrace, knowing it will take her time to forget the hurtful moments. And he will everything to replace those painful moments with happy ones.
"I should go and pick Reyaan from there, It's getting late." Rey said to himself, when he look at the clock and realized it was late evening and he had to go to pick him up from singhania mansion.
"You go and bring him, Till then I'll cook dinner." Taani said to him, Rey nodded and left from there with a light heart. He had made some progress in his relationship with her, and it means alot to him. Taking slow steps, he was making space in her heart again.

Reyaan entered the house along with his father who was carrying the gifts, Reyaan had got from his grand parents and other family members.
"Reyaan, so many gifts?" Taani asked, amusement lacing her voice.
"Daadu-Daadi gave me so many gifts, there are some for you too." Reyaan told her happily. Rey placed all the gifts on the table and turned to her, taani gave a glass of water to him, he thanked her and gulped down the water. Rey sat on the couch, watching the mother-son duo who got busy in opening the gifts.

Next Day.
"Reyaan, Come, I'll get you ready, then we have to leave-" Taani said to his son, she walked over the closet and took out his clothes.
"Where are we going, mumma?" Reyaan asked his mother.
"We are going at your naanu's place for dinner." Taani answered him, her parents had invited them on dinner and she was quite excited to meet her family and again go to the house where she has grown up.
"Naanu?"
"Yes, naanu-naani, they are your mumma's parents and your nana-nani." Rey explained to his son. Reyaan nodded in understanding. Taani smiled at him, Rey could see the happiness in her eyes which made him smile. He was happy to see her happy.
"Rey, There will be bhai & sharon, how will they react?" Taani asked her, suddenly feeling worried about her brother's reaction since he & his friends hate her, as for them, she is the girl who snatched their academy away.
"I won't let anyone say anything to you. I'll be there for you. So, relax. Once they will know you were not at fault, everything will be alright." Rey said to her, taani nodded in response. They got ready, and left for shekhawat mansion.
