Chapter 6A
That moment when u see ur lost friend and long lost love standing in front of u. What will be you reaction? Happy, sad, surprised, excited, shocked or mixed feeling? Depends on the reason behind the separation. But whatever shall be ur reasons and reaction, somewhere down the line u do feel good seeing the in front of you.
When the eye's of the five people present at tht moment met each other, their eyes remained wide open. Cabir, Mukti, Navya and Nandini was suprised to see ach other in frobt of them. They were happy as well as a little taken aback as they never thought that they will meet again. Manik was shocked as he saw Nandini standing in front of him. The thought that the girl who troubled him yesterday in his dream is standing in front of him was irking him. Then he realised that they knew each other from a long time but yesterday he could not recognize her and remember the source of his knowing her. Maybe thats because of the strong attraction and weird feelings he was experiencing. When Nandini's eye got a look of Manik, her eyes softened and blood rushed though her veins. Her past flashed in front of her eyes. The pain and feelings which she was hiding so long created a lump in her throught.
Breaking her trance and the silence in the cabin, Mukti jumoed up from her seat, hugged NavNi and while breaking the hug in a chirpy voice said ''OMG Navya Nandini!! Its so good to see you both after such a long time. A never expected us to meet again.''
How on earth can our Cabiraa kept shut during a Bharat Milap moment like this. So he said to Nandini '' Aaye haye kudiye, Nandini tum toh pehle se aur bhi pretty hogayi ho''. Hearing yhis Nandini gave a warm smile to Cabir. Then Cabir moved a bit towards Navya and said '' OMG look at her, Ms.Navya Naveli. New look and all huh? Accha h but u still look the same Black And White Madhubala'' And with this all the three burst into laughter whereas Navya made faces. Nandini said to Cabir, ''Cabir tum bilkul nhi badle. Aaj bhi Navya ko tang krte ho. Dekho bechari gussa hogayi''. Where the four where laughing out loud and was happy with their sudden meeting, Manik had a cold expression on his face. And their boss? He was surprised seeing his both the employess having gala time with such important clients. Not being able to take the suspense anymore, NavNi's boss asked them ''Tum dono jnte ho inlog ko?'' . Nandini replied, ''Yes sir, we were friends and...'' cuttin her sentence in the middle, Mukti said ''Yes, WE ARE FRIENDS'' and eyed at Manik for not even greeting them.
After getting this new set of information, NavNi's boss told them to take Triple X along with them to the conference room and show them the desired desired designs and clothes.
In Conference Room
Mukti- ''So u guys are still best friends.? Glad to see that.''
Navya- Toh aur kya, dosti banaya toh dosti yoh nibhani hain.
Cabir sarcastically says ''By way Mukti don't u think inka gang khali khali lagraha h? Navya tumhara grup ka idiot kaha h?''
Navya- Oh hello idiot hoge tum. Humara dost bohat bohat smart h.
Nandini- Guys kitne dinoke baad mile phirse jhagra. Aur Cabir Abhi London gaya h kisi fashion project k kam se. Ab woh Mukti, tumlogo ka photoshoot ka dresses?
Mukti-Haa actually Nandini why don't u show us some from ur designed collection.
Navya- Haa thik h...chalo I'll take u to our showroom. Phir dekhlena.
In Showroom,
Mukti was busy selecting clothes for them, Cabir was cracking lame jokes. Manik was busy with his phone being hell bored. NavNi was looking for othe necessary stuffs and accessories.
Cabir to Mukti ''Umm Mukti, aj tu kisliye itna zyada excited hogayi thi? Navya Nandini se milne ki wajase yah phir koi aur reason. Huh? Mukti looked towards Cabir and said ''Waise Cabir tujhe nai lagta ki Navya kafi change hogayi h. I mean short dress, make up n all''
Navya's attire
Cabir being lost while gazing at Navya said ''Haa yaar. She looks so hot'' .
Listening to Cabir's answer Mukti smirked whereas when realisation hit Cabir he stammered and said ''Woh...woh..mera matlab ki..ki...Haa kafi change ho gayi hain''
It is always Cabir to tease Mukti and Manik. Now that Mukti got a chance to pull his leg how can she loose it. To further tease him, she called out for Navya to help them in choosing clothes.
On the other hand, Navya was noticing Nandini staring at Manik who was busy in his own world. Seeing this Navya said to Nandini, ''Tum aj bhi usse bohat pyaar karti ho na?''
Hearing this unexpected question it took a while for Nandini to understand. ''Navya please, lets not talk about it''
Navya- ''Nandu iss topic ko tum aur kitna avoid karogi? Why don't you move on? Tumhari taraf thik se dekha bhi nahi.Pata nahi usse tum yaad bhi hoge ya nahi. Dekho khus hain woh apne zindagi main.''
Nandini looked towards Manik and smiled. ''Accha hain na Navya, woh hain that whats matter. Just because I love him I don't expect him to be loved back. Woh nahi karta hain pyaar mujse and I'm ok with that. U know Navya love for me is not to be loved back. Love is unconditional. It'sselfless enough let that person be free. I love him enough to let him go. Mujhe iss baat se kabhi dukh nahi hua ki he never loved me or love or will never love me. I'm happy that he is happy in his life, with his friends and with his love. Main hamesha se yahi sochti thi ki woh kaha hoga, kaisa hoga? Khush hoga ya nahi. But the thought of him being around his loved ones whenever crossed my mind, I felt happy because I knew he's happy. I want him to be happy thats it. Agar woh khush toh main bhi khush. Its true Ilove him, but I love him without any expectation, any desire, dreams or hope to be loved back by him. Maybe we are not meant to be, but that doesn't mean I will stop loving him. No. A BIG NO. I will always keep loving him.''
Navya sighed hearing Nandini's reply. Hearing Mukti calling her, she excused herself and went to help them.
Nandini pov
'' I know woh mujse pyaar nahi karta but I'm ok with that. Woh apna girlfriend k saath khush h. Aur uski khusi main hi meri khusi. Par pata nahi kyun uski face par woh happiness, wahi pehla wala glow kyun nahi h? Should I go and talk to him? No Nandu. I don't think yeh thik hoga. Navya thik kehe rahi thi. Ussey toh sayad tu yaad bhi nahi.
While fighting with my thoughts I don't know when I reached near him. After gathering a hell lot of courage, I decided to talk to him. But what should I say? Shall I ask about her? God please help me.
''Hi.!'' Manik turned towards me and looked at me. As soon as my eyes met his, I was lost in his brown eyes. Whenever I looked at it it created magic around me.
Manik- Hmm...
''What? Seriously? Hi ka answer hmm kn deta h...'' thought Nandini.
Nandini-''How are you?''
Manik-'' I'm fine'' answered Manik looking at his phone.
Nandini- ''Tumhe shoot k liye clothes select nahi karna h?''
Manik being uninteresed answered ,''Mukti kar rahi hain na.! Waise bhi woh tum ladkio ka kam h. I've better things to do''
Trying to make a conversation Nandini asked Manik with a smile ''Howz Alya? Where's she?'' As soon as Manik heared Alya's name, he fisted his hand. his eyes became red due to fury. Trying not to create a scene, Manik softly yet sternly said to Nandini, ''Go away''. Nandini wasn't expecting this answer of his question so she spoke, ''But Manik Aly...''
But to Nandini's dismay, Manik loosing his tempered didn't let her complete her sentence. He tightly grabed her arms and roughly pulled her to a corner and pinned to the wall. Nandini was scared seeing the blood shot red eyes due to his anger. It was paining, his nails digging in her arm was hurting her, but seeing Manik like that, her breathe got stuck in her thought. With each passing second, his grip on her arms was increasing. It was as if hurting her would lessen his pain. She tried to free herself but alas, that only made his grip on her more and more tight. She was afraid of this monstrous side which was awakened by her. Nandini was so confused, afraid, tensed and shocked to see this Manik. She did not know how to react or handle him. His blood shot red eyes, tight grip, cold emotion less, blank face made her so scared. Tears brimmed in her eyes which did not bother Manik even for a while. She tried to loosen the grip again and speak, but what Manik said left her all baffled.
"Tum kya aise hi kisi se bhi, kabhi bhi, koi bhi ladke se uske personal life k barey main luchne ate ho ya phir socha ki nai chalo banda smart h, handsome h, band ka lead singer, aur amir bhi h toh kyu nai thoda attention grab kiya jaye? Agar tum yeh soch kr ayi ho toh miss attention seeker let me tell you Ms. Attention Seeker, Manik Malhotra ka attention pana is not that easy. So many girls throw themselves on me. You think its so easy? But sorry, this ain't happening, u gotta really work hard. Like real hard. Ou ou ou. Look at u! Shocked? Kyun if u guys can play around with feelings then im preety good at being a playboy. But u see ur not of my type. So stay in ur limits." Saying this, Manik left Nandini's arm and with an anger filled attitude walked away.
Manik left the shop saying, "Mukti Cabir, I have an important meeting so m going. C u tomorrow at O2 office!!"
