Chapter 5 : IGNORE GAME
Manik was sleeping coz of hangover which helped him to sleep unaware of what's going on what's gonna happen he was in deep slumber.
Nandini woke up on her usual time she did pooja with grandpa but unlike before.., it was noiseless not to disturb any other soul in house.
She took blessings from grandpa moved to kitchen for performing her first ritual in new house as daughter in law cooking sweet dish.
Finally his unbreakable slumber broke. He woke up with heavy head ready to blast anytime i.e. hangover after effects of drinking non stop. It wasn't his first time he had this hangover like before he called for strong black coffee through intercom.
After few minutes a servant knocked with his black coffee which will relax his blasting head. He was still not relaxed after having it but moved out of bed hoping a cold shower will calm his nerves.
He was late but who cares he's owner who is supposed to be late.., people had to wait he had his own rules.., But when it comes to him he was very short tempered didn't wait for anyone he counts even for a second too.
Kitchen
In kitchen Nandini was preparing something for first time in her new house with the help of assistants providing ingredients.
Sometime back kitchen intercom rang one of the servant answered it was from their owner, her husband ordered black coffee. She knew why he needed particularly Black Coffee only and also that it won't help him to reduce his hangover as he was fully drunk last night. She prepared lemonade for him d moment she was about to give it to servant she remembered last night her anger rose and she dumped it whole in sink and thought "He deserves some pain." Why she should care if he does nothing but hurting her.
Till now she had almost finished preparing her dish while other chefs prepared normal breakfast their owners prefer nd laid d dining table it was almost time.
Dining Area
Breakfast was laid in dinning area.., huge dinning table was filled with different cuisines laid beautifully. Breakfast was more than enough for three people..,but one of them was missing and other two were waiting for his arrival to start up.., it was not a normal breakfast it was special...as today it was first day of their daughter in law in kitchen.
Though they weren't in India nd no other lady in house who'll look after all traditions being fulfilled. She didn't gave up on what she was taught.
Finally after waiting for few minutes he came nd sat beside dadu; infront of his wife. She didn't look up to him at once. He glanced her one time before greeting dadu nd apologised for being late...he knew his grandpa won't eat without him while at this age his diet is very important nd he never neglected it.
They had their regular breakfast...it was time for desert nd dadu showed his excitement, Nandini went inside to guide servants to serve desert prepared by her while Manik was confused "what's so exciting" but he shrugged his thought he wasn't interested so he stood up after finishing his breakfast to leave.
Grandpa "what are you done..? then where are you going breakfast isn't complete yet..today is the day i have been waiting for..sit down"
Manik "What's so special about today.."
Before grandpa could reply servants came with Desert followed by Nandini. They placed it on dinning table and were about to serve when Nandini said she'll serve herself.
She opened it to serve grandpa was so excited "OHMG..!! GAZAR KA HALWA..!! ITS SO DELICIOUS. ITS BEEN YEARS I HAVE HAD IT. GOD BLESS YOU BETA..!!"
Nandini happily served him like a child craving for his favourite dish attacks when he get it he too was about to eat when a hand stopped holding the Spoon from entering his mouth nd placed it back in bowl.
Before grandpa could shout on him which was clearly shown in his face he was about to shout on him he defended his act "You can't have it. Dr uncle has given you a diet chart nd this thing clearly not mentioned in it so you can't have it."
Grandpa "I don't care. This is d first dish prepared by my daughter in law its a part of ritual nd you can't stop me having this."
Manik "Nothing is more important than your health." his pitch was a little high this time before it get worst Nandini came as a saviour for grandpa.
Nandini "It won't do any harm to dada ji's health i have prepared keeping that in my mind its same like i used to make for my DJ" she said in a go while Manik looked at her confused "Umm... I mean my Dadi jaan she too have heart problem"
Manik backed out listening her it was first time she spoke to him. Grandpa ignoring everything instantly put a spoon in his mouth
Grandpa "Its amazing beta. I luved it. You should prepare this more often i won't stop you" he said stuffing another spoon.
Manik got up for leaving "I have to go. Dadu you need rest nd take your medicine on time I'll keep check on that."
Grandpa "Where are you good have this. You'll gonna regret m telling you"
Manik "M Done. I have an imp meeting." He left without waiting for his to reply
Nandini wasn't hurt too much this time she didn't expect anything from him now. She faked a smile while grandpa praised her..blessed her thanking god for sending her. He gifted her a brand new BMW 7 Series Titanium Silver colour. She said she can't drive but he persuaded its easy to drive its Automatic nd incase there are drivers too he handed over her keys nd said they'll go for drive as he finishes.., she smiled accepting it.
They went for drive only after giving him his medicines. He showed some places in London but didn't went too far as she said they'll go some other day he should take rest.
Whole day went away like that she talked to her family assuring them she was fine nd very happy which wasn't the truth but if a lie give assurity make them smile its not bad. Her cousins teased her but their talks made her heart pinched while if situation was different she was supposed to blush on it which she pretended very well...
It was late evening he came back she thought he'll come late she'll sleep till that time won't have to face him but he came early. They had their dinner silently whereas grandpa had his soup in his room.
Manik made it easy for her he went to his study avoided going back to his room. Not clearly but he remembered some of night incident while she too avoided him. She slept on couch like last night she didn't wished to be on same bed.
