After a hour long conversation with her to-be-brother-in-law, who happened to be her brother-in-law already, Khushi landed upon her own conclusions for Akash and declared it for him,

" I wouldn't deny that I would have not got a better groom than you for my sister, not just because of your character but also due to your love for her. But at the same time, there are somethings which you seriously need to change, Mr.Raizada. Firstly, stop taking advantage of people's ignorance. You have addressed me as 'Bhabhi' when you very well know I don't accept that relationship but I stayed quiet to test how you would react to that. You had realized it was wrong but you decided to talk advantage of it, because I was acting as if I ignored it. There comes the second thing which you should learn, stick to one thing, which comes from your heart.

Thirdly, be yourself, Akash. I know you are acting different from what you actually are after taking lessons from your brother. Believe me, I would have appreciated it much more if you dared to show what you actually are. But this shows how important it is to win my sister's hand and as they all's fair in love and war. But with my sister, you will retain your individuality.

Next, don't love anyone so blindly that you forget the difference between right and wrong, which you have done in the past for your brother because it will not just land you in trouble but also your near and dear ones.

Lastly, this is a professional advice. Stop showing your inner conflicts to others, as they might take an advantage to others. Do what you have to do and leave the result to whomever it is concerned to."

Akash was flabbergasted, dumbfounded and stupefied all at once. With just a few questions for her end, and discussions Khushi was exactly able to tell him, his weaknesses? He mentally lauded her ability to do but decided to maintain a straight face as he seriously thought about what he should reply to her.

" Sure, Khushi. I will keep all these points in my mind for the future. And thanks a lot for accepting me for your sister."

Akash was praying to the god that she should approve his way of addressing her and should let him go or else he would seriously faint due to fear.

" Pleasure is all mine and I think you should stick to calling me 'Khushi' rather than anything else. Would you like some coffee or something, Akash?" Khushi glanced at the time and felt that she should offer him something as she had taken up a lot of his time and energy.

" No thanks, Khushi. I think I should keep going, after all you have a lot of work and Bhai wanted me at AR, so see you later at home." Akash got up from his seat without even letting Khushi reply as she eyed at him incredulously.

" I sincerely apologize to have scared you, Akash. But what to do? I am an elder sister, and I can't afford to take chances with my sister's future especially with that family which ruined us."

Khushi's compassionate look filled with various emotions showed to Akash, the extent of her hurt, her pain, and her love for her sister. Involuntarily a few tears accumulated in her eyes as she reminisced about her late brother and Mausi, but she managed to smile through them as she was used to doing.

" I would not say that what happened in between our families was correct, Khushi. I will not try to defend my brother for his deeds but believe me, he loves his sister as much as you loved Jijaji or Payal, and as your love compelled you to question me today, his love compelled him to do it that day. Love makes people do things which they would not want to do in their dreams too, Khushi and the same happened with Bhai.

Yes, your pain and your anger are perfectly justified but I can see how much Bhai is guilty. As you have been in pain ever since your Mausi Ji's death, my brother has kept himself away from everything around him, lost every bit of emotions after losing our mother and Sudeshna Mausi. He never opened up or felt concerned to anyone beyond our immediate family but now I see only concern and love in his eyes as I see him staring at you. If what Bhai has for you is not love then what I have for Payal, or even what Di had for Jijaji was not love, because he loves you more deeply than anyone can comprehend.

Decision is yours, Khushi. But make sure that you don't lose out something extremely precious in the course of your pain, to feel pain throughout your life. Take Care."

Akash's sober and solemn words had immense impact on Khushi's raging mind. Every kind act of Arnav came in front of her eyes. If she was in pain then he was too in pain, and maybe he was as much a victim as she was, considering their childhoods or maybe even more as he lost his mother.

Khushi slumped on her chair, rested her head against the chair as she lost herself in deep thoughts. The way Arnav gave her the keys to go home, leaving him alone on the roads was something which was a clear evidence for his love for her.

Warmth gushed through her blood vessels as she reminisced his offer of sleeping on the recliner as she would feel uncomfortable sharing the bed with him and the apology he offered after stopping her from ascending the car in the morning.

For the first time, Khushi was opening her heart up to appreciate and admire Arnav's gestures towards her. Starting from consoling her in the hospital and taking her taunts freely to caring for her, forgetting everything else be it at Puja or on the roads, every single moment showed how much he cared for her and that made a small smile adorn her face as he reminded her of her brother's concern and protectiveness for her.

Didn't her brother entrust her responsibility to Arnav?

Khushi's breaths halted as she remembered the last letter of her brother to her and Anjali. She leaned forward onto the table as her hands supported her heavy head which had thousands of thoughts rushing in it. Realization dawned upon her that her brother had accepted Arnav as her husband and maybe saw the love in his eyes which she ignored.

For once, she wanted to forget everything else in her life and think about just Arnav and her marriage to him, which was wrong on so many grounds but it seemed that Arnav had genuinely tried in setting it right for her. Wasn't that pure love?

Khushi found it immensely difficult to decide upon something as her mind reminded her of her Mausi's words while her heart told that Arnav deserved a second chance for his selfless love for her.

To whom will Khushi Gupta listen to, her heart for a change or her mind as usual?
