Ch 5 : His Sweetness
Taani was looking at him with wide eyes, not knowing how to react? Then another thought crossed her mind, will he happy with her decision of working? Rey smirked seeing her reaction.
"Hi!" Rey waved at her, making her smile at him awkwardly.
"Oh! So you are the arrogant RS all fear so much?" Without thinking, she blurted out and almost regretted it, she cursed her big mouth, and wished she could take them back. His family's laughter brought her back into reality.
"So tumhe sach mein nahi pta tha, your husband is famously knows as RS in business market?" Shivam asked her, gaining her attention. Taani nodded in no.
"Bhaiyaa, How would i? Mujhe konsa RS se shadi karni thi? And if you ask me, This RS sounds so underworld-don-type." Taani again spoke, without thinking. Rey stare at his wife with open mouth, he couldn't believe she has guts to say this on his face.
"Excuse me! What do you mean by 'underworld-don-type'?" Rey asked her, taani bit her lower lip, cursing herself for not having control over her tongue. She looked here and there rapidly, avoid looking at him.
"What happened? Cat got your tongue?" Rey mocked her, Taani held back the urge to stuck her tongue out at him and answer him back.
"Rey! Stop teasing her." Ranvijay said to his son, who shook his head and got back to eating. Avantika came there and fed everyone sweets.
"Taani, when you are joining office?" Ranvijay asked her.
"From next week, papa. Will you be there too?" Taani questioned him back politely.
"Actually no. These days I'm handling our hotel business. But you don't worry, your husband will be there, He will guide you-" Ranvijay said to her, with a smile. Then he look at Rey.
"Am i right, son?" Ranvijay asked him.
"Yes." Rey mumbled, he look at her and gave her a small smile which eased her nervousness.
"WOW! Both husband-wife in one office, lucky you, Rey, you will get your wife to romance with whole day-" Kria teased them, but it got awkward between the couple, who knew the reality of their relation. Rey look at taani, who was looking down, she avoid look at him.
After breakfast, they all went in their rooms. Taani followed Rey inside their room.
"Are you okay with me working? In your office?" Taani asked him, she had took his parents approval about her working after marriage, but she never talked to him about this.
"Off-course! Why will i even object if you work? In fact, I'm happy that you are thinking about your career." Rey answered her, in calm & polite tone.
"Thanks." Taani smiled at him, the same dazzling smile which he likes.
"And sorry about my comment downstairs. Me & my big mouth, sometimes go out of the control." Taani apologized cutely, making him roll his eyes at her.
"Thats okay." Rey mumbled back.
"But don't say that again, specially in office, I have a reputation there-" Rey said to her, making her giggle but she nodded when she gave her stern look.
"Okay!"
Taani walked toward the bed and picked up his wallet, he smiled at her softly as she handed his wallet to him.
"Thank you. I'm leaving for office. Take care." Rey whispered, he then walked out of the room, leaving her smiling behind, realizing it was first time, they had a conversation without any hesitation. It was a pleasing moment, to know that he has started to open up to her little, even though not much but still, it means alot to her. For once in 2 months, she is feeling she isn't living with a stranger, but her husband.
