The famed Bollywood actress Amrita Rao is ready to make her debut on small screen as the diva has given her nod to a finite series, 'Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai', if sources are to be believed.

Reportedly, the show is set in the backdrop of the music industry and will be shot at real locations. It will also star veteran actress Deepti Naval who will play Amrita's older avtar. "Yes, but let the channel decide when to give out the news," said Deepti while talking to a publication.

But, confirming the news, producer Nivedita Basu has been quoted by a publication saying, "It's true that Amrita is making her debut with this series and Deepti will play her older version. Vikas Gupta, the programming head of the GEC that will air the show, wanted to make it since three years. My affinity for music prompted me to produce it."

Amrita has starred in many mainstream films like Ishq Vishq, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Vivah and Satyagraha. It will be a treat to watch the actress on small screen for TV lovers.
