PART 17

Ishita's pregnancy brought a new meaning to their life. Raman became more possessive towards her. Raman was in paradise after hearing the news of their part, symbol of their love coming into this world.

For Ishita, it was another beautiful phase of her life. Her marriage gave her immense happiness while this child made her contented with her life. The feeling of carrying a little soul within was magnificent. Raman loved her from his soul but his love grew more during her pregnancy when she needed him the most.

This pregnancy was the period of immense joy with excitement for them.

Marriage is not living with the person you love, but living with the person you can't live without.

Ishra room

Ishita was moving to and fro in their room when Raman entered to call her for dinner.

Raman - Ishita what are you doing. Why are you so restless?

Ishita- Raman I am feeling sick

Raman- Bacha please sit here. Let be caress your head. You will feel better.

Ishita- No Raman. Usually women's have morning sickness during pregnancy but I am only one who have night sickness.. Raman I am feeling nauseating.

Ramna- Ishita Calm down. You are special that's why you have night sickness. Come sit here.

He tried to distract her mind and ordered Neelu to make Lime water for her.

Ishita- No Raman! I feel like puking as soon as I take or smell anything. I don't want anything.

Neelu came with lime water, handed it to Raman and left them alone.

Raman- Jaan Have it sip by sip. Nothing will happen. You will feel better.

Ishita- No

Raman made her sit and brought that glass close to her mouth.

Raman- Just take a sip.

She took a sip and kept her head on his chest. He was caressing his back. After sometime he spoke again.

Raman- How are you jaan

Ishita - Better

Raman - Good

Toshiji called them for dinner.

Ishita- Raman you go and eat. I don't feel like eating.

Raman- Okay you rest. I will eat with you later.

Ishita- Raman you go and have your dinner. It's already late.

Raman- How can I eat when jaan and my baby both are hungry. We will eat together. You rest for now.

Toshiji entered there room with aloo chaat in her hands.

Toshiji- Puttar you have this. You will like it

Ishita saw the dish and her eyes lightened- Wow chaat. Thank you Maa . I love you.

She took that plate from her hands and took a spoon.

Ishita- Hmm... yum Maa. I love you a lot.

Raman looked at her amused- Ishita what happened suddenly. Few mins back you didn't wanted to eat and now you are eating this. Maa what have you made.

Toshiji smiled - Beta You will not understand this. You feed her properly and come out for dinner.

Ishita was busy eating her chat and looked at Raman like a small child- You want some.

She forwarded him a spoon, which he took happily. Raman fed her, made her sleep, kissed her forehead and left to have his dinner.

2 months of Ishita pregnancy passed blissfully. She was glowing under the effect of his love.

In the night, Ishita and Raman were laying on bed with Ishita's head on his lap and he playing with her hairs.

Raman - What are you thinking.

Ishita - Nothing Raman. I was thinking two years have passed.
She smiled - Still can't believe. It's like we met yesterday.

Raman caressed her face - True! 2 years and 2 months of your pregnancy.

Ishita giggled - Raman Time is flying. Its passing so quickly.

Raman - Quickly! Nahi jaan. I have to wait for another 7 months to hold my daughter in my hands.

Ishita - So someone is so excited to hold the baby. But Raman you know we will have a boy. Mumma's boy

Raman - No way . It's a girl. Papa ki princess.

Ishita sat straight with a jerk.

Raman - Ishita How many times I have told you not to sit with a jerk.

Ishita - Raman I am fine. Don't change the topic. It's a boy

Raman - Okay baba. Why are we fighting? What matters is that the baby should be healthy.

Ishita smiled and hugged him resting her head on his chest. She was playing with his shirt button.

Ishita - Raman you remember how we met first.

Raman - Off course. You were in hurry and you collided with me.

Ishita - But I met you first on dinner. Mummyji ki famous dal makhani. Yum. She is best.

Raman - We were so formal at that time.

Ishita - Sachi. Then we met in mall. That was a coincidence.

Raman lifted her head and cupped her face - Ishita I want to tell you something. But promise me you will not get angry on me.

Ishita narrowed her eyes - What is it Raman

Raman - Actually it was not a coincidence but all intentional. I heard Simmi and Maa talking about you shopping there. So I went there to meet you.

Ishita opened her mouth - Haw. You were following me.
She spoke with serious face.

Raman - But jaan because I loved you. Please don't be angry.

Next moment she busted into laughing and pulled his cheeks.

Ishita - You are so cute. How can I be angry with you? Raman even I want to confess something.

Raman - What

Ishita - But you also have to promise. You will not get angry. You remember last year near diwali you had to leave for meeting in Mumbai but you missed your flight due to tyre puncture

Raman pulled her towards him gently - Ishita main tumhara kya karu.

Ishita - Hmm. Where were we?

Raman - Mall shopping

Ishita - Haan Right.

Raman - Then we went on drive .Oops your treat on Activa

Ishita - Maza aaya tha. My favorite place. Raman lets go on drive on activa. It will be fun.

Raman - No way Ishita. Are you mad you are pregnant.

Ishita - So what

Raman stern voice - Ishita

Ishita - Okay fine. We will go after baby comes. Promise

Raman - Sochege. Ishita you remember our first almost kiss. I scolded you.

Ishita - Hmm Kilna chileye the aap.

Raman - Sorry jaan.

Ishita - Its okay Raman

Raman - But then you started ignoring me.

Ishita looked down and again rested her face on his chest.

Raman - You left for that conference. But I followed you there also. Bahut chipko aashiq tha main. I made you confessed your love.

Raman felt something wet on his shirt. He looked at her and saw her crying.

Raman - Ishita Why are you crying?

Ishita - Raman what if I not confessed that day, what if you would not have accepted me. My life would have been so different. Hum saath nahi hote. I can't imagine my life without you. I love you Raman.
Saying that she hugged him tightly.

Raman caressed her back - Jaan hum saath hote. Because I told you I am very chipko ashiq . I would have not let you go away. Now stop crying.

Ishita - I love you Raman

Raman - I love you too jaan. Ishita you remember our honeymoon.

Ishita- Singapore...It was beautiful.

They chatted for some more time and slept in each other arms.

Ishita pregnancy was moving smoothly. Her baby bump was visible now.
She was pampered not only by Raman but his parents too. Toshiji was showering her love on her for which craved throughout her life.

One day, Ishita was watching tv when Toshiji entered with a bowl in her hand. She immediately switched off TV, closed her eyes and pretended to be sleeping.

Toshiji smiled and caressed her hairs.

Toshiji - Ishita I know puttar you are not sleeping. Chalo get up. Have it

Ishita opened her one eye - But maa its too bitter. I don't like it taste.

Toshiji - I know beta. But it's good to have this during pregnancy. It's good for baby.

Ishita - Maa please I will have it later.

Toshiji - Beta My darling daughter.

Raman came from office and saw his mother convincing his lovely wife.

Raman - Maa. You have no time for me. You don't love me anymore. He faked anger.

Toshiji - Chup kar.

She again turned to Ishita

Toshiji - Ishita mera bacha. You will not eat this. For me

Ishita finally nodded her head and took a bite of laddo.
She was eating it making faces. Toshiji was happily caressing her cheek while Raman was smiling looking at Ishita.

Ishita saw that mischievous smile on his face - Maa see he is smiling.
She pointed towards him.

Toshiji looked at him and scolded him. - Raman

Raman - What Maa. What did I do?

Ishita - Maa he was smiling. He should have it too. He is also becoming father.

Toshiji - Sahi kaha puttar. Raman you have to eat this along with her every day.

Raman took a bite and started chewing it.

Toshiji left after feeding Ishita. Ishra were left alone.

Raman - Ishita you are so bad.

Ishita - I am bad and you were smiling looking at me. I am having it from last 2 months. Think about me.

Raman - You spoiled my mouth taste. Now you have to make it.

Ishita felt guilty - Let me get some sweet for you.

Raman - No need. I will have it here.

Saying that he captured her lips.

Love is something eternal, the aspect may change but the essence never does.

Ishita was now 7 months pregnant. Whole Bhalla family was busy preparing for her Godh bharai next day. Simmi came with her husband for this occasion.

Ishita was resting and was going to get up when Toshiji came with warm oil to massage her feets.

Ishita - Maa what are you doing

Toshiji - Puttar your feet have swelled. I will massage them with warm oil. You will feel better.

Ishita - Maa please you leave this. You are my mother. I don't like you touching my feet's.

Toshiji - Maa kahan na. Bas now relax.

After sometime she kept her head on her lap.

Toshiji - Love you too puttar.

Ishita - Thank you maa for accepting me. You have given me everything. I always missed this. How it feels being in your mother lap. But in last two years you have made me believe one thing.

Ishita with teary eyes- You are my mother from last birth. I m telling you amma has send you for me because she cannot be with me.

Toshiji kissed her forehead

Ishita - Maa You are too good. Who say mother in law are strict. In fact you have spoiled me more.

Toshiji smiled - I have spoiled you because I m giving you love of three. First as my daughter in law .Simmi ke hise ka pyar aur raman who gave me you.

She spoke pinching her nose gently.

Ishita - Maa can I say something. Before I use to miss my family but after coming to this house papaji and you have given me so much love. I don't miss them anymore. Maa Amma won't be angry on me because I don't miss them anymore.

She spoke innocently while Toshiji also got tears in her eyes.

Toshiji -Naah mera bacha. In fact they will be happy for you.

Ishita - Can I sleep in your lap today.

Toshiji - Puttar you dont need permission for that. It's your place.

Ishita closed her eyes while Toshiji patted her head wiping her tears.
This whole seen was witnessed by who was standing at door listening to their conversation. He wiped his tears smiling, turned and left her alone with his mother.

Next day godh bharai took place. Whole Bhalla house was decorated beautifully while Ishita wore red saree selected by Raman. She wore light jewellery.
Simmi helped her in makeup and getting ready.

Ceremony went well. Throughout the ceremony Ishita was glowing stealing glances from Raman who was making her blush through his naughty gestures.

9th month of Ishita pregnancy

Ishita was sleeping in room while Raman was having his morning tea with Mr and Mrs bhalla. Suddenly they heard Ishita screaming and calling them from room. All rushed to the room.

Ishita - Raman.. Ah. Ouch

They entered the room and saw her twisting in bed due to pain.

Raman ran to her and sat beside her.

Raman - Don't worry bacha. Maa let me call doctor. Maa you be with her.

Toshiji sat on her other side

Ishita - Maa.. Ah . Its paining

Toshiji -.Bas mera bacha. Thodi der.. Himmat rakh

Raman informed in hospital, next scooped her in his arms and moved out of house. Mr and Mrs Bhalla followed them.

On reaching hospital OT was already ready for her. They were taking her on stretcher. Ishita dig her nails in his skin due to pain but for him her condition mattered the most.

They took her in inside the room while doctor stopped him on door. Outside the room he was getting restless. Mr Bhalla supported him.

Couple of hour later they heard the cry of the baby. Raman finally smiled and moved towards the door. Doctor came out with the nurse carrying a small creature in her hands.

Raman- Doctor how is she.

doctor- Mr Bhalla she is fine and congratulation its s girl.

Mr and Mrs Bhalla congratulated him while nurse gave him his princess. He took in her in his arms carefully supporting her head with one hand and other holding her. Baby smiled looking at her father and gave a slight smile. Raman smiled back with tears in his eyes.

Raman- She is on her. Maa she is like my Ishita

Mrs Bhalla- Haan Puttar. Kitne shoni hai

Doctor- Mr Bhalla we are shifting your wife in room. You can meet her there.

Raman entered room saw her lying with closed eyes. She looked tired yet alluring to him. He moved to her with their little daughter in his hand and kissed her forehead.

Raman- How are you jaan

Ishita opened her eyes and smiled looking at him with their daughter- I am fine. You won. It's your princess

Raman- Yes Now I have two princesses to look after.

Ishita tried to sit up, Raman helped her and handed her their daughter. He wrapped his hand around her and kissed her hairs.

Raman- She is exactly like you.

Ishita- Raman her smile is on you. Same dimple like yours. She is perfect.

Mr and Mrs Bhalla entered their room- Let us even play with our granddaughter.

Mrs Bhalla- Koi naam socha hai iska

Rman ishita spoke together- Ruhi hamari rooh

Mr Bhalla- Bahut pyaara naam hai.

A day later Ishita was discharged. Simmi came to meet her niece from Canada. Ishra entered together with Raman holding their little rooh in his hand. Toshiji did her aarti and put a small tika on rooh forehead.

1 month later Ishra room night time

Mr and Mrs Bhalla left to sleep after wishing rooh a special good night. Raman was rocking his little daughter, making her sleep. It was his daily routine. Ruhi use to sleep in his arms only. Raman was enjoying this new phase in his life.

Ishita came outside after changing and saw him singing lullaby. It was music to her ears. This sight always gave her immense pleasure. Raman saw her looking at them and placed Ruhi in her crib after she slept.

Raman- Jaan What are you looking at.

Ishita- I am seeing you have changed. I am no more your only bacha. You are making her sleep not me.

Raman chuckled- You are jealous of your own daughter. Come let me make you sleep.

He made her lie while she Ishita cuddled more to him.

Ishita- I love you Raman. You have made my life beautiful. You gave me parents, our daughter and most important you. You are my friend, my love and my whole life.

Raman- I love you too jaan.

My love for you is a journey;
Starting at forever,
And ending at never.

He kissed nape of neck while she titled her neck to giving him more access. He was about to claim her lips and their little angel woke. Both looked at each other and smiled.

Raman - In this she is gone on our family, not letting me romance my wife.
