"No! Let him stay with me, I will feel better." Rey said to her in soft tone. Reyaan touched the bandage that was wrapped around his head and winced slightly.
"Is it paining, papa?" Reyaan asked him softly while touching the bandage that was on his hand, he bend his head little and kissed his hand which brought a smile on Rey's face. A lone tear escaped his eye and fell on Rey's hand, Rey wiped his tear and kissed his eyes.
"You know, I was scared..so scared-" Reyaan whispered in low tone. Rey hugged him instantly, held him close to his heart, assuring him.
"Don't be, baby, papa is here and will always be with you." Rey whispered back. Then His gaze fell over her, standing quietly near the bed. Rey look at her, he could tell she was crying for him, her eyes were puffy & blood shot red, it made him more guilty. Even after going through so much, she still care for him.
"Taani-" Rey called out for her softly, she was shocked sensing the softness & love in his voice but shrugged it off, not wanting to give herself any false hopes regarding him & their broken relation.
"Ji? Aapko kuch chahiye? Are you in pain? Should i call doctor?" Taani questioned him in concern filled tone. No matter how much hurt she gets in his love, she could never stop caring about him and sometimes, she hate herself for that, for being so emotionally weak when it comes to him.
"No! I am alright, Don't call anyone." Rey replied her in same soft tone as hers. Taani nodded at him, they were gazing at each other when his family except dadi walked in, Subhadra devi had left for house as she wasn't feeling well.
"Rey, How are you feeling now?"
"Are you still in pain?"
"How did all this happened?"
All were asking questions, concern was visible in their eyes for him. Rey smiled at them.
"I am alright, nothing to worry about." Rey assured them but his mother wasnt convinced, she stepped close to him and checked his injuries, a soft cry escaped her lips seeing his wounds.
"Maa, Dont cry, I am alright. Chotti si chot hai, Theek ho jaayegi." Rey said to his mother who glared at him in return, for taking his health so casually.
"Yeah, I can very well see how small wound it is. Rey, how many times i have told you to drive carefully-" Sumitra was scolding him for being so careless, Rey looked down at his son who was smiling at him, he was sitting comfortably on his lap, looking at the scene play before him.
"What happen, baby?" Rey asked him in barely audible tone.
"Papa, you also get scolded by your mumma-" Reyaan answered while giggling softly which caught sumitra's attentions. She stopped talking and looked at them, something in her melt seeing them together. She had always loved Reyaan but now, when she know Reyaan is her Rey's child, her love for the little one had increased.
"Why are you laughing, Reyaan?" Sumitra asked him, trying her hardest to not to smile at him. Reyaan bite his lower lip and hugged his father, suddenly feeling shy as all the eyes were on him. Rey hugged him, hiding him in his embrace. He look at sumitra who was staring down at them with look adoration visible in her eyes. He felt happy seeing the acceptance in his mother's eyes for his son.
"Reyaan, won't you meet your dadi-dadi." Sumitra said to him, stroking his hair lovingly. Rey broke the hug and made him face them. Reyaan gave them a small smile, Ranivay stepped forward and took him in his arms, Reyaan was known to them so was Reyaan thus He was comfortable with them.
Taani was watching them silently, she don't know anyone from his family except purvi thus she stayed in a corner. Rey was watching her, his heart was bleeding knowing he is responsible for her this state, He was responsible for the distance between them, If he had trusted her 5 years back then they would have been together, she would be living with him & his family and got her much deserve place in his family with all respect.
"It's not too late. I know i can never take away the pain she had suffered but I'll do everything to give her a happy, respectful life she deserve." Rey thought to himself, but he knew, first he need to talk to her, in alone but it was not possible since his family was there.
Their eyes met, she was surprised yet again, seeing so many emotions in his eyes. She wondered why they were showing hatred like before, instead, all she could see was pain and..love.
"Maa-Papa, She is Taani." Rey introduced them, They both look at her, taani shifted uncomfortably in her place and did nameste, Hesitation was visible in her voice. Sumitra & Ranvijay smiled at her warmly, they liked her instantly, no matter what subahdra say, they could see innocence in her eyes, and it touched their hearts.
"She is my mumma." Reyaan said with pride in his tone. All smile at him. Taani smiled at them in return, she felt light at heart seeing his other family members don't hate her or have any bitter feelings for her.
