Episode 2: Shipped with Fright
"O...M...G!" Shanaya said in a slow and shocked tone. In the afternoon, Shanaya and Maddy were having lunch inside Shanaya's suite. And over lunch, a shocked and upset Maddy had told Shanaya about the 'incident' from the other night.
"So you slept with him?!"
"DON'T SAY IT LIKE THAT!"
"Then what else do I say?! When two people are sleeping...that too on the same bed ...and next to each other, it means they're sleeping with each other!"
"I know! I'm so stupid!"
"But I guess much action wasn't going on since you both had clothes on."
"Shanaya!"
"Just pointing it out! But why'd you have his shirt and blazer?"
"I don't want to know!"
"Oh, Maddy! Its okay! At least you got some action here-"
"ITS NOT FUNNY!"
"Okay! Calm down!"
The doorbell of Shanaya's room then rang. Shanaya got up from the table and went up to the door to open it. As soon as she opened the door, she screamed as a guy with a zombie mask on was standing there and screamed "Boo!" Shanaya was so scared that she fell on the floor, startling Maddy. The guy laughed, taking off his mask to reveal himself as Kabir.
"Kabir! You moron!" Shanaya shouted.
"You should've seen the look on your face!" Kabir laughed as he then highfived Humpty, who came right before the door.
"And I caught it on tape!" Humpty exclaimed, closing his video camera.
"You're doing this stupid stuff again?!" Shanaya asked.
"What stuff?" Maddy asked Shanaya.
"Every year these two morons team up to throw stupid pranks on whoever they can on Halloween!" Shanaya replied. "And now they're going to scare everyone off this ship! This is the IshqTanic, not the FrightTanic!"
"Well its Halloween! Not Valentine's Day!" Kabir exclaimed. "And you're the first victim of the day, Shanaya!"
"Idiots!" Shanaya rolled her eyes.
Kabir then looked at a pissed off looking Maddy. "What's the matter, Madz? Not talking to me?" Kabir questioned Maddy.
"I would!" Maddy responded. "But I'm allergic to morons!"
"Back to feisty mode." Kabir shook his head.
"Well then...we'll scare you guys later!" Humpty exclaimed as he and Kabir took off.
Shanaya slammed the door shut in anger. "And just when I was enjoying my time on this ship!" Shanaya whined.
"Same here." Maddy agreed.
Outside in the hallway, Janet was walking by in her usual uniform of a white blouse with a black pencil skirt and black pumps. She knocked on the door of Nikhil's room with a tray of towels, lotions, and other items. Nikhil opened the door, wearing a black tank shirt and blue sweatpants. "Good afternoon!" Janet greeted. "Need anything?"
"I'm good."
"Are you always good? Or do you just like being alone in there?"
"Trust me. I'm fine."
"BOO!" Kabir and Humpty appeared before Janet in the hall, wearing their zombie masks. Janet looked at the two, raising her eyebrows. Confused, Kabir and Humpty took off their masks. "You're not scared?" Kabir asked.
"I've seen my cousin go skinny dipping! Nothing is scarrier than that!" Janet replied.
"Are you idiots up to the same thing again?" Nikhil asked Kabir and Humpty.
"Its Halloween, Nikhil! Have some fun!" Humpty exclaimed.
"Well I have major studying to do!" Nikhil responded. "So don't disturb me!"
With that, Nikhil shut the door of his room. "Wow...he's like an angry young man." Janet said.
"I know!" Kabir shook his head. "You know...I'm still up for that date-"
"I know what happened between you and Maddy last night." Janet intervened.
"Wait...what?! You and Maddy?!" Humpty asked Kabir.
"She's not even into me! She threw a tantrum about it in the morning!" Kabir responded.
"Which is why I'm totally off your radar. The only love I have is the booze I get after eleven," Janet said. "See ya!"
With that, Janet headed off while Kabir and Humpty looked on.
"You actually got rejected." Humpty said.
"Aah who cares!" Kabir rolled his eyes. "I really should take a break from women for a while. Especially after what happened last night."
"She still seems like she has something for you. There was some kind of coyness in her eyes." Humpty pointed out.
"Oh...now Humpty Dumpty became the love doctor!" Kabir exclaimed. "One way to find out."
As the day went by, girls were constantly being pranked in the ship. While Shanaya was planning out things in the ballroom for the ship's Halloween party, she went over towards the bar to get a drink. "Excuse me, Humpty Dumpty!" Shanaya called out to Humpty who was turned around.
Once he turned to Shanaya, Shanaya shrieked, seeing Humpty with an ugly goblin mask on. And while she screamed, he fired a bunch of cobwebs from a toy gun he was holding. Shanaya whined as she was covered in cobwebs all over her designer dress. "I swear! I will rip that egg head of yours apart!" Shanaya screamed.
Upstairs on the third floor, Janet was heading off to the laundry room to dry clean some clothes. As she opened the door, she found the entire room was covered in toilet paper. "They did not just TP this room!" Janet shook her head. She grabbed what appeared to be a note that was on the door that read, "Happy Halloween!"
In the dance studio on the first floor, Maddy was finishing up dance practice with the other dancers. After she was done, she waved to her other fellow dancers as they left the studio in the other direction. Maddy then headed to the mini fridge outside the studio. As soon as she opened the fridge, Kabir popped out, scaring the wits out of Maddy as he wore a scary clown mask while spraying Maddy with a can of string cheese. Maddy stood, appalled while Kabir was laughing so hard after taking his mask off. "You find this so funny, don't you?!" Maddy shouted.
"Hell yeah! Especially you! Your face is priceless!"
"Shut up!"
"One thing I have to say, Madz...you can love me or hate me...but you can't ignore me!"
"At this time, I really want to ignore you!"
"Really?! Then can you ignore this?"
Maddy stood, puzzled while Kabir leaned closer towards her and planted a kiss upon her cheek. Not only was Maddy stunned, but she returned Kabir's sly gesture with a tight slap on the face and stormed off in anger.
"See I was right!" Kabir smirked. "She hates me...but doesn't ignore me!"
Maddy headed upstairs to the second floor where Janet happened to be with Shanaya, removing cobwebs off of her. "You were pranked, too?" Janet asked Maddy.
"No dip!" Maddy exclaimed. "And that douchebag Kabir was the one behind it!"
"Do you see this?! Humpty sprayed me with cobwebs!" Shanaya whined. "All over my new dress from Prada!"
"And those boys surely left a mess for me to clean up in the laundry room." Janet rolled her eyes.
"That's it! I've had it!" Maddy shouted. "Its high time we teach those two morons a lesson!"
"You mean we rain down some sabotage on their little prank fest?" Shanaya asked.
"If you're all in." Maddy replied.
"Oh we are!" Janet exclaimed. "But we need a backup resource to pull off some revenge. That means...if we want to level out these boys from their lame third grade pranks...we need someone calm and intelligent to help us out."
"And who would that be?" Maddy asked.
"I'm not doing it." Nikhil said. Maddy, Shanaya, and Janet had came to Nikhil's room to ask him for help in pranking Kabir and Humpty.
"Come on, Niks!" Janet urged. "You know you want to scare those two idiots!"
"Look. Halloween isn't really my thing." Nikhil replied.
"We don't care! We've had it with the stupid pranks!" Shanaya exclaimed. "They ruined my Prada dress! I paid Rs. 2.5 lakhs for that dress!"
"Forget the dress!" Maddy said. "Look, you may not like fun...and maybe that's because two of your friends are used to it all the time. But now you can turn the tables and have some fun scaring the crap out of these idiots!"
"So say yes before I gargle you down with some beer to make you do it!" Janet exclaimed.
Nikhil let out a deep breath. "All right. I have something in mind," Nikhil told the girls. "But I need you to trust me."
At night, the Halloween party was being held in the ballroom of the ship. Several guests, mostly youngsters, had come dressed up in their Halloween costumes on. At the bar, Humpty was working, dressed up as a vampire, while Kabir was having a glass of beer, dressed up as a pirate. "What are you? Jack Sparrow?" Humpty asked Kabir.
"See! My mom was right! I do look like Johny Depp!" Kabir exclaimed. "And what are you?! Dracula?"
"Correct!" Humpty replied. "So are we done with pranking the poor girls?"
"We might as well give them a break. After all, we did scare the crap out of them!" Kabir laughed, highfiving Humpty.
Little did the two know that they were being watched by Maddy and Shanaya, who were dressed up in pretty ball gowns, wearing masks to hide their faces. "Those bafoons!" Shanaya exclaimed. "Wait till they see what we have for them!"
"Janet, you know what to do." Maddy spoke to Janet through an headset she had on. Maddy and Shanaya walked behind one of the pillars in the ball, watching Kabir and Humpty at the bar. Janet then walked over to the two, looking shaky as she was dressed in a smoking hot red dress. "Janet! You all right?" Kabir asked, startled.
"I don't know what I drank!" Janet exclaimed. "Would you strong boys escort me upstairs?"
"I'm on duty though." Humpty said.
"Come on, Humpty! We need to help a girl in need!" Kabir exclaimed. "Let's go."
Kabir and Humpty walked along with Janet, heading upstairs while Maddy and Shanaya came out and rushed over to the elevator. The two headed upstairs, going up to Janet's room, knocking on the door. Nikhil opened the door, letting them inside. "Is everything set?" Maddy asked Nikhil.
"Yes. Everything is ready to go. All we have to do is head over to the back and take over from there." Nikhil said while Maddy and Shanaya followed him to the closet of the room where they hid inside, each of them getting their hands on a control device. Outside in the hall, Janet led Kabir and Humpty to where her room was. "Could you boys open my room for me?" Janet asked Kabir and Humpty, handing her ID card.
"No problem!" Kabir exclaimed as he took the ID card and slided it on the lock to open the door. He and Humpty then looked inside the room. "Wow, nice pad." Humpty said.
"Its even better than yours!" Kabir told Humpty as the two entered inside. Once they were in, Janet closed the door of the room, shutting the two boys inside. "Janet! Janet!" Kabir called, trying to open the door. As Kabir and Humpty were stuck inside, Nikhil pressed a green button his control device.
Inside the room, green smoke began to come from the air vents, scaring Kabir and Humpty. "What the hell?!" Kabir exclaimed.
"Get me out of here!" Humpty shouted, pulling on the door. Shanaya then activated her device, allowing the attic door to open from the ceiling, making a bunch of real bats come out, attacking Kabir and Humpty as the two screamed in fright. The bats then headed outside of the window and Maddy pressed a button on her control device, which activated a life size manican dressed up as a ghost to come out from the closet. Humpty got so scared that he screamed as he tugged onto a frightened Kabir. Maddy and Shanaya slowly came out from the closet, blending in with the smoke, scaring Kabir and Humpty even more.
"Happy Halloween!" Janet exclaimed as she entered the room, turning on the lights. Maddy, Shanaya, Janet, and even Nikhil started laughing as Kabir and Humpty shared confused faces. 'What's going on here?!" Humpty questioned.
"Just a little revenge." Shanaya replied.
"You should've seen the looks on your faces!" Maddy laughed.
"And you will!" Janet exclaimed. "We got it all on tape! Its so going on YouTube."
"Nikhil, you were part of this?!" Kabir asked, appalled.
"I had to admit...it was fun seeing you idiots get scared like that," Nikhil said. "Plus, I put some of my special effects skills to use!"
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm heading back to the party!" Janet exclaimed.
"Wait up! I'm coming!" Shanaya followed. "Come on, Humpty Dumpty!"
Humpty gave a displeased look on his face while Nikhil brought him along as the foursome headed out of the room. Maddy smirked as she gave one last look of victory at Kabir, leaving the room.
"So...she's got more spunk than I thought," Kabir said to himself. "I really can't ignore that chick."
