Sharon was running into the office. Thinking she was late and didn't want her new boss to be upset with her.

In this process she bumped into someone. It was her new boss, swayam. He turned around annoyed but when he saw it was her, his heart melted as though it was mechanised for it happen like that whenever he sees Sharon.

They exchanged smiles and a good morning. And both made walked towards the lift.

Reaching there they both hesitated as to who will enter first. Swayam insisted Sharon to enter where sharon was keen on allowing swayam space. There was a point when both gave up and tried to enter together, but due to lack of space they both couldn't make to through the door and both were now extremely close. They both scrupled at such short distance. Their elbows couldn't help but dance along together.

He moved slightly back due to which the door was about to close. Sharon was so lost in his eyes, that she didn't realise that she was in danger.

He pulled her by the waist right before the doors could close her down. She started pacing hard and her eyes had tears due to the shock.

His heart beats were racing. His hands as an Involuntary action cupped her face and spoke still trying to revive from the shock Sharon! Are you alright? See don't worry. Nothing happened! Relax!'

And she without realising hugged him and tried to forget the reverberation. After a while they realised in what position they were in, so both jerked back and both looked down, feeling completely uncomfortable with each others presence now.

She managed and a thank you and he just smiled back. Now again when the elevator's doors opened, he didn't think twice and entered in, only to be followed by Sharon. They were awkwardly standing trying to maintain distance. Sharon was cursing her fate as her first day in job started at such a note. She was praying for no more problems.

But she spoke too fast. They were lost in there thought's when they felt a jerk. The elevator had stopped. Swayam would have abused the maintainer with derogatory comments if Sharon wasn't present. Sharon felt like crying as her so called first day couldn't be so worse.

Due to the stoppage of the lift the lights too went off. Swayam tried calling, no one in particular, but anyone who could take them out. But damn the signal. Sharon started breathing heavily.

Swayam could hear her inhale and exhale hard. He asked in a tensed tone what happened Sharon? You ok?' She replied in her broken voice I... I ... I'm.. I'm a... She started coughing and held swayams shirt and curled it for support.

He held her hand and she continued I'm a nyctophobic, the lights went off, and I always have the light on, I'm phobic to darkness' she stated. Swayam spoke now I understand. The lift has no room for light at all even though it's morning. And if the lights aren't on then it makes it look like it's night. Don't worry we will get out. You just calm down. I'm there with you Sharon.'

I'm there with you.

Those words seemed to her like heaven. But she didn't react , as the flashes of that night came back to haunt her.

Sharon you look great!' Simmi hugged Sharon. Thank you simmi' Sharon reciprocated the hug.

Wheres your date??' Simmi asked questioningly Sharon blushed with the thought of him and was about to answer but he came from behind and held her hand and said I'm here' with a radiating smile. Hey swayam, finally you are here' simmi answered giving teaseful looks at Sharon.

Sharon was still in shock to his action. He openly held her hand. They were just 15 years old, she didn't how to possibly react to an act of romance. But he too wasn't Romeo for his age. He just knew to make her blush and that was enough to fill the desire of a child's heart.

The lift started again and with that Sharon too came to reality. They reached their floor.

The doors opened and swayam stormed out of the lift, the maintainer was standing right outside the door and he started his words of explanation.

But swayam was in no mood to listen, he called out for his secretary and asked her to find for another maintainer. Sharon who was observing all this was shocked to see such a reaction of swayam.

He always appeared to be dreamy, flirtatious, playful, and soft but this angry young man side was new to her. But her thoughts were broken by his voice, he spoke

Sharon meet me in my cabin in 10 mins'. She nodded her head in positive and he left the place making way to his cabin. Managing Director' was the designation put outside his cabin. She made way to her cabin. Chief product developer' that was the Designation she was given. Yes even though her degree was just of engineering, but she had many internships and many national level projects done that boosted her resume. Swayam also was of the same age. But after his diploma he had the resources for starting his business at a high note. His dad was an entrepreneur too who was one of the best of his times. So developing contacts or making a mark wasn't difficult for swayam. But swayam too had worked extremely hard and hadn't taken his privileges for granted. After 10 mins Sharon entered swayam's cabin.

Sir may I come in' Sharon asked yes come in please' swayam responded still immersed in his laptop.

She pulled a chair kept her laptop on the table and sat down. He then spoke

Sharon you're our chief product developer, so I would be very frank with you as to what the company or rather I expect from you' Sharon now was listening intently.

Our latest development in cloud computing hasn't been that great. So I would like to know how are you going to make our company excel in this perspective.' Sharon heard him out and then spoke

yes sir, I know about the requirements from me. I have prepared a presentation on how we can improve our product standards. So if you don't mind . I'll show my presentation to you?'

Swayam was very impressed with Sharon. It was just her first day and she was already prepared with a presentation. She had won the professional goal.

But heart? She had won that many years ago. Yes please' he said with alot of excitement in his voice. She started explaining her case.

He started walking towards her and was now right behind her looking at the laptop. He rested his hand next to hers on the table. And the other on the keyboard.

Sharon too didn't pay much heed to the position as she was very much into her explaining and swayam too didn't stand like this on purpose. He was just seeing the slides.

After she finished then she looked up and the first thing she noticed was his dark brown eyes. He looked into her green ones. Both were now looking into each other's eyes not knowing what to feel for each other.

Sharon saw affection and guilt in his eyes, where as swayam saw attachment and hurt. But both had a questioning look, surprisingly the question was the same. Why did that night affect our lives so much?'. Answer to this question was unknown to both still.
