Okay, So People Brace Yourself Because I'm Going To Be Posting The Whole Last Chapter & Epilogue.
LAST CHAPTER!
This Part! 👍🏼 The Way You Described Jeevika's Feelings, You Know About Her Trying To Change For Viren? That Was Amazing. Actually How They Both Had Tried To Change For Eachother. Mould Themselves In The Way How They Thought The Other Wanted. That Was Just Beautiful. "You're The Women I Need." God Can He Be Anymore Amazing? That Got My Heart Flutter! ❤️
Jeevika smiled, sipping her coffee and watching her husband, her heart skittering at his dangerous look. She felt happier than she'd ever been, even though she was at the end of her pregnancy. And Viren looked relaxed, even with the irritated expression he had on his gorgeous face from talking about the press.
"I don't care about me. I can handle it. I don't want them to talk about it because it would be hard on you." She took another sip of her coffee, watching Viren's expression turn from irritated to stunned.
"Me? Why the hell would I care?" Viren drained his coffee cup and set it on the bedside table.
"I'm your wife. You're a billionaire businessman. I've always tried to be the woman you need""
"You are the woman I need," he told her, his voice angry now. "I don't care what anyone else think."
"I was just a normal girl with zero penny to survive and suddenly you came and I was your Wife. Viren Vadhera's Wife. The Billionaire's Wife. Now I m carrying our baby and he/she gonna be the most talked about baby and even me. They will try to find every info about me to make a news and I'm sure people will judge me by my history." And God, she hated that.
"It's not your goddamn history," Viren replied, the muscle in his jaw twitching as he answered. "And anyone who judges you isn't somebody we need to give a shit about.
"I've always tried to be careful, tried not to draw attention to myself. I wanted to be a good wife to you, Viren. I tried to change. I don't know what happened." She understood what he was saying, but people did judge, they did talk, and Viren had never been the subject of bad press. He was respected as a businessman, his personal life never dragged through the mud because he gave the media nothing to talk about.
"Did you feel like you needed to change because of me?" Viren asked curiously, his voice calmer.
"Yes. No. I don't know. I wanted to be perfect. I slipped sometimes, did something stupid or thoughtless." Honestly, now that she thought about it, she'd turned herself inside out to become the woman she thought Viren wanted. "Every time I got a lecture from you, I tried to laugh it off, but I tried to do better. But you were just so damned perfect," she replied honestly.
Viren started with a snort, and then he rolled on the bed, his uproarious laughter echoing off the walls of the enormous bedroom.
"What?" Jeevika drained her coffee cup and set it on the table.
Sitting upirenk her by the shoulders, still chuckling as he told her virenantly, "Sweetheart, I'm far from perfect. Do you realize that I think we were both trying to fit the mold that we assumed was the other's ideal? It would be even more hilarious if it wasn't a little heartbreaking." He eased her down on the pillows, and lay on his side, one arm draped around her waist and the other propping his head up, staring at her adoringly. "Tell me what you did."
The Way She Described What She Tried Doing For Him!
Viren seemed so approachable and amused that she decided to just tell him. They are about to start a new chapter in their Life , so he might as well know exactly what she'd done to try to be the perfect wife. "I tried to stop being so clumsy. I got up every day and primped, even though I just wanted to wear a tank top without a bra and a crappy pair of shorts and get to work. I dieted, trying to be slender, feeling like I was starving to death most of the time. I stopped cursing because I thought it offended you, although I came close to slipping occasionally. And I bought clothes because they were trendy, not because I liked them. I bit my tongue at parties, even when I didn't agree with what people were saying." Nibbling at her lower lip, she watched his face as it broke into a sexy smile.
I Loved This One! 😳 The He Said This Particular Little Speech! The Sixth Point Got Me Blushing Furiously! ☺️ And Oh, The Way He Said "I Fell In Love With You, Jeevika." I Could Actually Feel Everything Happening In Front Of Me. As If I Could Actually Hear Them Utter Those Words. Oh And Damn, The Time When He Says, "I Just Want To Be Close With You." I Almost Fainted With The Intensity & Passion.
Jeevika was silent for a moment before he replied. "One: You're not clumsy"you're absolutely adorable. Two: you take my breath away. I'm all for the shorts and braless look, just know I might never leave the house after I see. Three: You don't need to diet. Your figure was full and beautiful; you're active and healthy. Most of the time, I was fighting for control. Four: I want you to wear whatever you want and be exactly who you are. If some uptight prick at a party pisses you off, tell him off. Six: I couldn't care less if you curse. Especially if you want to talk dirty to me. But know that I'll take you exactly where you happen to be at that moment if you do that," he warned ominously. He brushed the hair from her face gently before adding, "I fell in love with you, Jeevika. I don't need you to be anyone other than who you are.I was trying too hard to be the sensible man I assumed you wanted."
Viren moved over her, his hot, muscular body hovering over hers, holding most of his weight from her body with his arms. "Suffocate me, Jeevika. Let me drown in your love and affection. Touch me. Shower me with your laughter. That's all I've ever wanted. I need that from you. I just want to be close to you." His face looked tortured but hopeful. "Please," he added hoarsely.
Jeevika closed her eyes, her heart pounding, completely destroyed by the look on Viren's face. Her steady, calm, no-nonsense husband wanted to be loved. Really loved. He didn't want the perfect woman. He just wanted her, and all of the craziness that went along with a love so intense that neither one of them had been able to handle it. "I think I've grown up, Viren. I'm not sure what happened to me, but I don't want to change anymore. If you think you can handle me, I'll give you all the love I have and leave you begging for a reprieve," she warned him playfully. "And I love you a whole hell of a lot. Can you handle that?"
His grin grew wicked as his gorgeous hazel eyes roved over her face. "Oh yeah."
Oh crap. I'll want to jump his bones every minute of every day if he keeps looking at me like this.
Their eyes met and held, and Jeevika lifted her hand to his rough jaw and caressed it softly as she pleaded, "Love me just like this forever. It's all I've ever wanted, too."
And Damn! 😳 "I Will, Sweetheart. I Promise." That Churned Something DeeP Inside My Stomach! And Above All, The Part Where They Both Try Feeling Eachother. Inhaling Their Eachother As If The Other Was Oxygen To Them ❤️
Viren buried his face in her hair with a groan. "I will, sweetheart. I promise."
Jeevika sighed and wrapped her arms around him, stroking her hands over his back and to his waist, absorbing the heady, masculine scent and feel of the man she loved.
At that moment, everything was perfect.
A sudden change in Jeevika's expression and everything, everyone were in hurry.
Jeevika's Labour pain started.
*********
I Loved The Way You Showed Virat's Insecurities And Worries Regarding Manvi's Delivery. Viren Swore He'd Never Ever Touch Jeevika Again!? That made Me Go Hysterical! Literally! 🤣 Who Was I Kidding? 😆 God I Love Him More! 🤣 ❤️
Jeevika had been in labor since morning., and every friend and family member of Viren's had shown up in a show of support. Vanshika, Virat and Viren's mother, were currently consoling Virat, trying to convince him that when Manvi had her baby, it wasn't going to be that bad. Manvi wasn't Jeevika's physician, but as a dear friend, Manvi had gone in to observe with the OB doctor. Nobody had seen Viren at all since he'd been unwilling to leave Jeevika's side, but manvi came out with periodic progress reports.
"How damn long does it take to have a baby? She's been in labor forever," Virat grumbled loud enough that everyone could hear him across the small waiting room.
Manvi's last progress report about thirty minutes ago had been that Jeevika was getting ready to push. She'd also said that Viren swore he'd never touch Jeevika again. Manvi had delivered that comment with a snort, knowing Viren would forget that promise fairly quickly.
"It's her first baby, Virat. It takes time," Manvi heard Vanshika tell her son patiently.
******
Oh How I Loved The Way You Wrote This! So Fabulous! 😳
"It'll have to be here," Viren said quietly. "Her contractions are coming too close."
Jeevika moaned as another contraction, this one much stronger than the last, ripped across her belly.
"Viren, I'm okay," she gasped out. "You don't need to worry."
He pressed another kiss to her forehead . "I'll always worry about you, sunshine."
Another contraction gripped her. She closed her eyes, clenching her teeth.
Viren smoothed worried hands over her face, as she sucked in another breath as another pain followed closely on the heels of the last.
"Oh God, Viren, I feel like I need to push!"
"Listen to me, baby. I need you to try and calm down and breathe deep. Don't push yet if you can keep from it."
Viren stood next to Jeevika, his arms around her, hands resting on her belly. She leaned back into his chest,. He moved one hand up to push her hair from her face as another contraction seized her body.
She trembled in his arms, and it was all he could do not allow his fear to override all else.
He closed his eyes and buried his lips in her hair. The sting of tears burned his eyelids, and he took deep steadying breaths to try and remain in control of his emotions. He wouldn't fall apart. Not now. Not when she needed him to be strong. He wouldn't fail her again.
"Breathe, baby.
Deep breaths. That's it," Viren encouraged.
"Oh God, it hurts!" she cried.
Her back arched and Viren could feel the tension in her body, like a rubber band at full stretch.
"You're crowning. We're almost there. Close your mouth. Breathe in through your nose then hold it and push. One long push." Doc said.
At Viren's calm direction, she quieted and then she bore down.
"That's it, love," Viren whispered in her ear.
Viren's hands cupped her belly, trying to infuse his strength into her.
"That's it!" Viren said in an excited voice. "Come on, baby, one more good push. You can do it."
God, he wished he could take her pain. He'd do anything for her not to suffer like this.
"Aaah!"
"Okay, rest a minute," Doctor urged. "The head is out. That's the hard part. Let me suction and then we'll work on getting our baby the rest of the way here."
"I need to push again, Viren."
There was panic in her voice as if she wasn't quite sure what she should be doing. Viren kissed her hair and rubbed her belly with his hands, wanting to do something to offer her comfort.
"Go on and push, baby. One more good push and we'll be done."
Jeevika's back arched once more and every muscle in her body tensed. Then she relaxed, much like a wilted balloon. She fell back into his arms, like a limp noodle. She breathed raggedly, her chest rising and falling with exertion.
"It's A Girl," That Made My Heart Jump In My Throat! ❤️ How I Loved This Part. Oh Dear God I Couldn't Help But Imagine Myself Right There Admiring Them And The Sweet Little Angel. ❤️
Manvi looked down once more and met Viren's eyes.
"It's a girl," she whispered.
A tear rolled down Viren's cheek and he hastened to shrug it away with his shoulder.
Doctor cut and tied off the cord then wrapped a blanket around the baby. He walked over and gently lowered the bundle into Jeevika's outstretched arms.
Viren got his first glimpse of his daughter. Jeevika cradled her in her arms, her fingers lightly exploring her tiny face and fingers.
"She's beautiful," she whispered, her voice heavy with emotion.
The Way You Wrote Up Viren's Emotions! ❤️ I Almost Teared Up! The Sweet Kiss On Jeevika's Temple And Another On On Little Girl's Brow, I Was Smiling Ear To Ear. My Heart Swelling Up In A Emotion I Can't Explain! 😛
Viren sat there, holding them both in his arms. He held everything that mattered right there, close to him, against his heart. Another tear rolled down his cheek and this time he didn't wipe it away.
"I love you," he choked out against her hair.
Viren bent in close to kiss Jeevika's temple then he lowered his face to kiss the baby's brow. "Thank you," Viren whispered. "She's absolutely beautiful."
She felt tired. Exhausted, really. But she'd never been happier than at this moment.
Viren curled an arm around her shoulders and hugged her to him. "Are you all right? How are you feeling?"
Her chest clenched. Tears swam in her eyes as she surveyed the scene before her. "I'm fine," she choked out. "I've never been better." And it was the truth. How did life possibly get better than at this moment? It would never be as perfect again.
She looked up at Viren who was still studying the baby with an expression akin to rapture. "Do you want to hold her? You haven't yet."
"I'd love it," he said huskily.
The Way Viren Cradled His Princess ❤️ "Myra" (I Read Its Keany's Suggestion?) I Love The Name! ❤️ Can I Just Cradle Her In My Arms? Oh I'm Dying To!
She lifted the bundle up, and Viren eased his large hands around the tiny baby. He cradled her to his chest and watched in fascination as his daughter opened her eyes.
"What are we going to name her?" Jeevika asked.
"Myra," Viren replied. "I like the name Myra."
"Myra Vadhera. It's a fine name," Jeevika said
I Loved This! ❤️ You Write So Damn Brilliantly! I Can't help But Read It Again. And Again. And Just Can't Find Words To Express My Exact Feelings!
"Thank you"
She cocked her head, smiling up at him. "For what?"
"For our Daughter. For loving me . For understanding me," he returned.
Her throat tightened, and for a moment she couldn't have spoken if she wanted. She struggled to process the surge of emotion that built and swelled within her. Suddenly it was too much and not enough all at the same time.
She was safe. She was loved. She loved with all her heart.

This Though! 😃 The Little Proud Family!
And! 😆 Virat getting Super Nervous After hearing Him And Manvi Are Having Twins! 😳 😆 "Or Not" I Was Laughing Like A Lunatic. 😆 The Brothers Are So Damn One Of Their Kinds!
Manvi came into the waiting room, her face shining with happiness. "She's beautiful. Eight pounds, one ounce, and completely healthy," she announced, hugging her husband as he rose to sweep her into a hug.
"Jeevika okay?" Virat asked, concerned.
"She's fine. Worn out, but good," Manvi replied. "If I can tear him away, I'll get Viren to bring the baby out of the delivery room so you can all see her."
Yash stood up, commenting happily, "I'm sure he's a proud daddy."
"He will be. He's a little green around the gills at the moment. I didn't think he was going to make it through the delivery. Jeevika was calmer than he was," Manvi said jovially, planting a kiss on her husband's cheek.
Everyone was on their feet, all talking at once, marveling over the birth of Vanshika's first grandchild and Virat's new niece.
Yash grasped her hand tightly, keeping her at his side protectively. Slapping Virat on the back, he told his friend jokingly, "Your turn next, buddy."
Virat's smile faded and his usually tan complexion turned white as he looked down at his wife. "I don't think I can do it," he told Manvi, his voice full of dread.
"You don't have to do it. I'm doing it," Manvi answered calmly. "Since everybody is here, I guess we can tell you all. Virat and I are being twice blessed. We're having twins.".
Virat sat down, his face white, looking like he needed to put his head between his legs to keep from passing out. No wonder he had been fretting so much over childbirth.
"I just told Virat," Manvi admitted, hugging Vanshika back. "He'll warm to the idea eventually."
Both women looked at Virat, his face white as a sheet now.
"Or not," they both said together, laughing as they did the female hug, leaving the men to ponder the hell of having twins.
Last Chapter. But, I Loved It To Bits! ❤️
Now, Epilogue! 😃
EPILOGUE
I Loved This Part! 😳 The Way Jeevika Felt Her Daughter Didn't Like Her. The Way Viren Tried To Assure Her That Myra Does like Her And Having Little Babies Just Needs Getting Used To! 😳 😃 ❤️ The Way You Wrote A New Mother's Feelings, And Viren Soothing Her, That Was Just Brilliant. 😛
It was noon the next day by the time jeevika staggered out of her bedroom and into the family room.
"You're alive," Viren asked
"Barely."
"Myra kept you awake, huh?"
"Understatement of the year," Jeevika said, dropping into the chair across from the couch where Viren sat. "What have I done?"
"Taking care of a new baby is difficult in the beginning, but things will get better...easier."
Jeevika shook her head. "You don't understand. I don't think Myra likes me."
"Of course she likes you,"Viren said with a smile. "Having a new baby just takes getting used to."
Jeevika blew pieces of straggly hair out of her eyes. "I need coffee."
"I don't think that's a good idea while you're breastfeeding."
"I'm not breastfeeding anymore."
"Since when?"
"Sometime in the middle of the night. And now Myra is sleeping. She hates me." Jeevika dropped her face into the palms of her hands.
Viren came to Jeevika's side and patted her shoulder. "Oh, honey, she doesn't hate you. Everything will be okay. I'll make you some hot tea and scrambled eggs," Viren said as he headed for the kitchen.
"I never feel this way," Jeevika said. "I feel so tired...and depressed. I've felt like crying ever since Myra was born. What's wrong with me?"
"She's four days old. Give it some time."
Jeevika could see her reflection in the window. Who was that woman looking back at her? What happened to Jeevika Chaudhary the girl most likely to succeed in high school? What happened to the young vibrant woman?
Jeevika stood and curtsied. It was no use. At the ripe old age of thirties she was all washed up.
"Are you okay?" Viren asked when he peeked out from the kitchen into the room.
"Idk whats wrong with me?" Jeevika said feeling frustrated with herself
"Hormones changes, a little postpartum depression is what you have" Viren assured her "Nothing's wrong with you after you eat and take a shower you will feel like a new Woman in no time.
Before she could answer it, the crying in the other room told her that her time was up. she headed for the bedroom.
"It will get better," Viren called out. "I promise."
Jeevika didn't believe him.Viren was just trying to comfort her. If Myra would just let her sleep for thirty minutes straight, she was certain she could do this.
Just thirty minutes and everything would be fine.
This Though! "Her baby had a set of lungs that no doubt came from his father's side of the family." 😆 🤣
Three hours later, after eating an egg and multi-tasking with a brisk walk around the park while returning phone calls, Jeevika felt mildly better. At least her hair was clean and she'd managed to brush and floss before Myra started to cry again. Her baby had a set of lungs that no doubt came from his father's side of the family.
Growing up had been a quiet experience because nobody in Jeevika's family talked or interacted. On most days you could hear a pin drop. She was taught to keep her voice and emotions in check at all times. Children were meant to be seen, not heard. If she were caught being overly rambunctious, or laughing too loud, an uncommon occurrence, she was given ten minutes on the wooden chair.
Jeevika hovered over the crib for a moment and watched Myra cry.
"What is it, Myra? What's wrong?"
She picked her up, kissed her tiny forehead, and breathed in baby powder along with her own baby scent. Then she headed into the family room where Viren was sitting.
This Part! "You Look Different!," The Way He Tried Changing Subject! 😃
😆 This One - "No, of course not, I-I thought you looked great then...you just look different, that's all."
Then The Part WHere She Whiffs His Aftershave Scent! 😳
Viren placed his laptop to the side and came to his feet. "How's it going?"
"Myra's doctor said as long as she's been fed and changed, I don't need to worry about her crying too much."
He sighed. "You look different," he said, obviously in an attempt to change the subject.
"I just had a baby."
He cocked his head for a better look. "No, really. Your hair...everything...you don't look like the same woman."
She crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Are you saying I looked fat before?"
"No, of course not, I-I thought you looked great then...you just look different, that's all."
Jeevika caught a whiff of his aftershave. He had to be wearing Gucci or Chanel. God, he smelled good. She didn't have any shoes on, but either way, Viren was tall...very tall. Her neck was beginning to hurt from the strain of looking up.
This Little Part Here? Viren Watching Jeevika Feed Their Daughter, And He Saying That His Baby Is Awfully Small! ❤️ 😆
Than The Way Jeevika Guided Him To Make Myra Burp Adorable Cute Little Family I Just Love This Trio! ❤️
Viren's Reaction When His Baby's Girls Head Touched His Shoulders ❤️ This Guys Makes Me Go Crazy Over Him With His Tinsy Bit Reactions And His Feelings ❤️
Viren sat in the middle of lime-green couch and watched her feed Myra.
Myra was a tiny thing, She looks awful small," Viren said.
"Babies tend to be small," Jeevika muttered
After finishing Myra breastfeeding, she told Viren to make her Burp.
"No, no, that's okay. I'll just watch. How do you know so much about babies?"
"I used to be one and i have read those billions of Motherhood books when i was strictly kept on bed all day long," she said being sarcastic
Viren blushed and Laughed remembering the time when Jeevika hated being on bed all day.
"Here." Jeevika laid a dry cloth diaper on his shoulder and patted it with her hand. "Put Myra head right here," she told Viren
The second the baby's head touched his shoulder, Viren froze"he didn't move one inch.
Jeevika moved his hand so that the palm of his hand was flat against Myra's back. "Now pat her...softly" she told Viren
He gently patted Myra's back. "Like that?"
Jeevika head nodded. "Yep. Do it 'til she burps."
Within seconds a loud gurgly sound came out of Myra. Viren eyes widened. "It worked!"
He smiled at Jeevika.
"Myra likes you," Jeevika told Viren
"She don't like her mommy though,"
"Of course she likes her mommy," Viren told Jeevika.
It was quiet for a moment while they both stared at Myra perfect little head as she rested on his shoulder. "I've never held a baby before today," he told her. "I mean, not for a very long time. It's not so difficult, after all."
"You're a natural."
Them Observing Myra's Features And Pointing Out What Features She Takes From Whom It Is Adorable! 😳 ❤️ He Wriggling His Eyebrows Makes Me Swoon! He Looks So Damn Fabulous! 😆 😳 (I Know, I'm Behaving Like I Could Actually See Him. But Believe Me Miles! You Writing Is Too Damn Strong To Make It Happen! Everytime I Read, I Feel Transported Between Them!)
Viren tucked her chin into his chest and examined Myra further. "She's got your mouth," he said.
Jeevika sat on the armrest of the couch and took a good long look at Myra too. "Hmm. You think so?"
As he examined her mouth for comparison, she felt ridiculously self-conscious and found herself wishing she hadn't asked the question.
"Definitely," he said.
She looked at Viren's mouth. "I hadn't noticed that before. You might be right." The thought cheered her immeasurably. "She has your nose, though, that's for sure," she added. "And your big brown eyes."
"The better to see you with, my dear." He wriggled his brows.
*****
❤️ The Recognition That He Saw In His Daughter's Eyes ❤️ I Loved That Part. To Core!
Myra was a good baby, he thought. And Jeevika was right, she was growing fast. When he looked at her daughter these days, he saw recognition in Myra's eyes. Myra was a smart girl, an amazing girl. Having a child did something to a person. Changed them in ways they never imagined. Being a father made him want to be a better man.
He wondered if he and Jeevika would have met under different circumstances, and yet he already knew the answer. No. They were from different worlds. They hung out with different crowds and they had different interests. He'd had a string of women in his lifetime, only a few whose names he could remember. He also had many women friends. He thought Jeevika would fit neatly into the all women he knew category when he first met her, but now he knew otherwise. Jeevika was different. She was intelligent and complicated, stubborn and caring to a fault. And loving.
This Part Viren Bringing Her Blanket And The Way He Wrapped It Around Her 😳 Their Little Sweet Moment! ❤️ Loved It.
"You're shivering," he said, stating the obvious.
Jeevika kept her gaze on the horizon and dismissed his statement with a wave of her hand. "You're supposed to be watching the sunset."
The French doors leading into the house had been left open so they would be able to hear Myra if she woke up. Viren disappeared inside and returned with a blanket. They were sitting on a double recliner, but this time when he took a seat, he wrapped the blanket along with his arm around her shoulders and said, "Better?"
"Much," she said, resting in the crook of his arm, her gaze on the lavender hues painted across the sky, a sight he enjoyed night after night when he was home. Together they watched the end of a long day fade away. After the sky turned a dark crimson, She released a long sigh and then turned her head so she could look up at him. "Thanks for everything. I couldn't have pulled it off without you. At this point, I don't know what I have done without you"
Viren found himself wishing life could always feel so simple and nice. "I should be thanking you for putting up with my family today," he told her. "I never invited them, story of my life, but they always seem to show up anyhow."
She smiled. "I love our family."
😳 He Breathing Her Sweet Scent. That Gives Me Sparks On My Skin To be Honest. I Actually Love The Feeling. The Intensity With Which They Know Eachother And Love Eachother Showed In This Little Gesture Of Smelling Eachother's Scent And being Addicted To It. It's Just Out Of The World Thing.
He breathed in the sweet scent of her hair.
"I probably smell like bruschetta and Brie," she said with a chuckle.
"I like bruschetta and Brie." He was tempted to nibble on her neck.
To hell with it. He couldn't take it anymore. He adjusted himself so that he was on his side and they were face to face and then he brushed his lips over hers. Her eyes glistened in the moonlight. She was beautiful and she tasted like heaven.
"I should check on Myra"she said, her actions contradicting her words.
She tried to get up from the recliner, but he used his body to keep her from going anywhere.
This Was Toe Curling. Literally. I Can't Express What Kinda Feelings Erupted When I Read This Part. ☺️ ❤️ They Discussing About *Ahem* You Know What. Than About Them Being Different. And What's Uncommon Between Them. I've Gotta Say, I Loved The Last Lines! Their Bundle Of Joy!
She brushed a hand over his forearm. "What are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking you're beautiful beneath the moonlight. And I thought of something we have in common...Myra...we both love Myra."
"True."
She laughed and he nibbled on her neck, working his way up to her ear. His body hummed with life as it often did when he was around her. He couldn't seem to get enough of Jeevika, hadn't been able to get his mind off of her since the first day they met. Everything inside of him zipped and zapped like electrical charges going off. She was the real deal. She said what she meant and meant what she said. There were no guessing games when it came to Jeevika and he found that maddeningly refreshing.
His mouth found hers again and he kissed her long and hard and when he pulled away for a mere heartbeat she said, "Do you think maybe this is all happening too fast?"
He raised his body, using his arms to prop himself upward. "No. I think it's happening too slow." He kissed the tip of her chin.
"That's because you're a man."
He smiled. "And it doesn't hurt that you're a woman."
"You know what I mean." She reached up a hand and smoothed her fingers over his stubbled jaw.
His gut tightened, but he said nothing"only listened.
"You might not want to or mean to, but it's different with guys. Men aren't afraid of losing a part of themselves in a mere kiss."
"That's not true," he said. "I lose a piece of myself every time I kiss you. It's downright frightening."
"Then why risk it?"
"Because the magnet on my refrigerator says I should do something that scares me every single day."
"Now you're just making fun."
"I know that every moment I'm not with you, I'm thinking about being with you."
"The truth is we always had very little in common."
"That's not true," he said. "I like dogs."
"Exactly my point, since I prefer cats."
"What about football?" he asked.
"I've never been fond of sports."
"Many women don't like sports. I like to sleep in," he added. "Everyone likes to sleep in."
She sighed. "I've been an early riser since the day I was born."
His mouth dropped open in mock terror. "What about movies? I like horror films...thrillers...action packed films."
"Romantic comedies are nice. I like romance."
He maneuvered his body to make sure he wasn't squishing her, and then he kissed her again and once more just for the hell of it. He finally pulled away and said, "I like romance, too."
"You come from a big family."
"I do."
"And mine was small."
"That it is."
"You like Pasta. I like chinese."
He nibbled on her ear.
"The list goes on," she said in defeat.
He dragged his mouth across her cheek. "Yeah...it's never-ending."
"That feels good."
"Hmmm."
Looking down at her, he took in every single detail. Her small nose, creamy skin, and heart-shaped face would inspire any painter to grab his brush and canvas. Her eyes were bright, filled with something he couldn't put his finger on.
She brushed a hand over his forearm. "What are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking you're beautiful beneath the moonlight. And I thought of something we have in common...Myra...we both love Myra."
"True."
