Hey guys,here is the next update!!
Chapter 5:Ishani had lost deep in the her thoughts.she had known that even if she had assured alice that she would try to live her life ,to be happy,she knew it was never going to happen.she had said all that only to not to hurt alice.she knew that alice cared for her and her denial will make her unhappy.
she had come to care for both of them like her family.they had given her a family that was missing from her life for nearly an year. She had stayed then in sweden,barely surviving.she had not known anyone there except ms.khanna who was old family friend and had agreed to look after ishani if she needed anything.but ishani had been unable to form a bond with ms.khanna like the one she had with alice.
she sighed,'I came here to seek solace ,to remain alone but it seems that is a distant dream now! If destiny wants it that way then I will not try to change it.anyway,it is not going to make any difference at all. I know that.my all happiness,all emotions have gone and now it could not get worse. '
ishani knew that even though alice had nearly commanded her to take the job,she would have accepted if ishani had refused strongly,but ishani hadn't.maybe it was because she didn't wanted her to get disappointed,or it was because of what she was feeling recently??she could feel it even now,but she had managed to supress it somehow.
'life has gone long way to teach me that falling in love is so easy but to fight for love ,to get it is very difficult,and even if we fight,its not always that we get our love.
it was dawning , light had started to creep through darkness outside,she looked at it. Light always follows darkness,sun being the one giving life to all creatures but my darkness,my night have no end because my sun has gone long way leaving me to live through darkness that is just suffocating and painful.
What she didn't knew was that her sun had returned though it's rays hadn't yet been strong to erase the darkness that she was in but they would soon be.
Ishani was sitting in her cabin at cafe.it had been nearly five days since she had joined the job.the place was well maintained and had a cheerful aura of it's own. It was quite large and was in fact cafe cum restaurant .her cabin was at one end of the cafe built in such a way that she could watch every activity going on in cafe if curtails were lifted a bit .cabin was a cosy one and had a table and several chairs arranged neetly. It also had a sofa at one side and attached washroom to the other.alice had told ishani that it was main branch of cafe chain running in city and hence also served as main office of cafe chains and she was appointed as the chief manager.
Ishani had to meet suppliers,managers of branches in city,chefs, cleaners and so many other peoples in initial days to get an overall idea of work.she had been much busy then but today she had got time to relax as she had already finished all meetings. She had barely thought of calling alice when there was a knock on door.
"come in",said ishani and looked casually towards door to find alice entering cabin.
"oh,you don't have to knock for coming in!!now please don't ask me to sit on chairs!"
Alice smiled,"I know you don't mind it but manners are manners ishani."
Taking seat on one of the chairs she asked ishani,
"so how is the work going on?"
"you know it!it has been fine at least till now.but definitely you have not came here to just ask me about my work!you could do that at home too.what is it,aunty??"
Alice now looked tensed.
"it's nothing serious ishani.I was passing by the road so thought to meet you.besides I had to give you some information about our financial condition."
Ishani got alerted by alice's tense look,
"but you said all was ok only two days ago!!board was sending the check today.what happened now?"
"ishani ,actually money was funded by foreign company and it was to recieved by us two days ago but fraud in company shares was exposed on the same day so custums have blocked it and they are not going to release it till fraud gets clear."
"and that lands us in a problem!",ishani now understood it and grew concerned,
"that will mean indefinite closure of cafes as we have to make payments daily and we have been left with money that will last for two days.!!"
"yes ishani",alice looked grimly towards ishani,
"we have no other choice till funds come.profits from all cafes could support us for another three days,but if funds not arrived by then,we will be forced to close them."
Ishani looked worriedly towards alice.alice had attachment towards cafe as it was she who was handling it before ishani as the place was vacant.ishani knew that.
"maybe we could arrange for some loan?" ishani tried to give solution.
"but who will give loan of 8000 euros to an NGO ,that too in five days!! I have checked all alternatives and it looks like we have been trapped this time!!"
Alice's unhappiness could be heard from her voice.ishani was also sad nd shocked at turns of events .
but she had to console alice and encourage her as she knew that alice could find the way out of it.
"how much days do you think will it take to arrive funds from other sources?"
"it's going to take atleast a week even after these five days, as NGO had used money for victims of earthquake recently and was depending heavily on this particular fund,but now.." alice's voice was choked with emotions.
" don't worry,we will find the way out!lets try to collect as much money as we can.who knows,we could be able to do it like that!and remember you had told me once not to lose hope whatever may be the situation."
Ishani's words had desired effect on alice.she looked at ishani for some time .she stood up and determined said to her,
"thanks ishani,we will definitely live through it.I am going to check if I could get some help ",she smiled
,"you take care of yourself,bye"
Alice leaved cabin much confidently than earlier,but ishani now was worried.though she had convinced alice that they will be able to gather money,she was sure that it was very difficult to gather that much amount in such short span. She wished she could help alice somehow.
If he had been here he would have given check without thinking twice.he was like that .ishani said sadly to herself,'but he is nomore and that makes all difference.'
suddenly a thought crossed her mind.it would easily solve all problem in a minute.but it would mean revealing her wherabouts.ishani now was caught in dilemma.
But she could not seat silently while the cafe's future was in danger,and more importantly when she knew that it will hurt alice most as she had grown to care for it when she was incharge of cafe.
Finally after an hour which seemed to her like eternity ,ishani finally came to a decision.she could not let happen anything like that.
'He is no more and others will not give quite an attention to it.I could take that much risk for alice.after all for she has been doing for me could not be compared with money!!'
Thought of the memory stung her like hell.she could not help but think about what people says 'time heals all wounds' but she had known that it will not work for her,never.reminding herself about the important work at hand, Ishani proceeded towards the laptop on the table hurriedly.
Ranveer woke up with a start.he had some random dreams ending with his falling off the cliff.he looked here and there for a while not understanding for some time where he was. It was then saurabh greeted him cheerfully.
"hey,hi!! That's quite a surprise!! Seeing you alive feels great, you know!!does i am dreaming or it's really you have woke up?"
saurabh pinched himself.
"ouch!!",he laughed,"so it's reality!!"
Saurabh came near bed and took seat on sofa kept near bed.
Looking at ranveer's expressions full of confusion ,he said,
"oh ,I does not mean to hurt you by saying that alive thing but it was the exact feeling i am feeling right now!! My dad must have told you about me,right? No? Ok,i am saurabh,I am the son of the dr. Who is treating you.I am still a student ,enjoying his college life!!I could still not believe it that you are alright again!! You know i have always waited for this day!!dad knows it still he didn't called me when you woke up first.I was angry with him then,but he told me he had told you about me.dad is going to have a tough time pleading me if he has not told you about me,and has lied for sake of me, now!!!"he exclaimed.
Ranveer was watching saurabh curiosly.he could not help a tiny smile which crept on his lips on listening his non stop chatter without even stoping to listen to reply!!
Seeing ranveer smiling at him,saurabh understood why he was smiling.embarrased,he guiltyly looked at ranveer.
He lowered his head and spoke softly,more calmly this time,
"oh! Umm... I...I.am sorry for my stupid talk. But really i am happy that your health is improving! I know we don't know each other,in fact this is our first proper meeting. But i have formed a strange bond with you when you were...asleep believe it or not but it is there. I also could not understood it well.But now as you are awake again i would like to start it again,properly. So will you become my friend?? "
He looked eagerly towards ranveer.
ranveer smiled at innocent behaviour of saurabh. He was very much thankful to saurabh for saving his life,and it was he who was willing to know more about him.but here entire scenario was different!! He smiled at saurabh and accepted his request by movements of eyes that were quickly understood by saurabh.
"yeesss!!!!"shouted saurabh with happiness.he sprang up from sofa and was jumping all over the room,dancing in between for some moments due to the joy.
after about two- three minutes he somehow controlled himself though he could still not hide happiness visible on his face.
He came near ranveer and looked at ranveer,
"so finally we are friends!!thank you bro!!It will be the best friendship in the world!!thanks again for this friendship!!you know it means a lot to me!!", suddenly saurabh became serious for a moment,swinging again in his happy mood next moment. However this does not went unnoticed by ranveer.
"now,your health!!you have been sleeping for two days now,from when you first woke,but it's normal is what dad said.he said body required time to recover and taking complete command on body parts.now that you are awake he has told me to help you getting better again!!
so lets start it. First thing is that you must now try to speak.it will be difficult at start and words would be fumbled in each other.but it's ok.and you have to tell me so many things!!!now lets try to walk."
Saurabh gave support to ranveer in sitting straight on bed.he signalled ranveer to stand up.
ranveer looked at him unsurely as he could feel he had not enough strength.saurabh nodded at him assuringly and supported his body while ranveer made an effort to wake up.he found out that he could now make small movements easily.he stood up with whoobly ,shaking legs but fell on bed next moment.saurabh's support was the reason he did not hit ground hardly.
"look!! You are doing awesome!! Now rest for a while.dad will check you later.i will take a leave as i also have some work.really i don't want to go but i must have to!! I will return soon so you will not be bored for long! Take care,bro!!"
Saurabh went out almost running,looking at the wrist watch.
Ranveer looked at vanishing image of saurabh and sighed.
'friendship is such a strange thing!! He got how much happy after i accepted to be his friend!!!he is really interesting! '
Days of his childhood came before ranveer.he got lost in the days of his friendship with ishani.he remembered carefree antics of laughing ishani and felt happiness erupting at his heart.
'I will come soon ishani!! And this time I will keep you away from all painful things. '
With ishani's thought he realised that he has to be fit for he would not feel good even slightly if ishani felt any pain due to him.ranveer started to do light exercises he had been told to be healthy again.he had decided in his mind that he will get recover himself as early as possible.
