Ishita's POV

"Ishita"

Hearing her name she halted. Her heart skipped a beat. Did she really hear his voice calling her? She was dumbstruck. Turning back she saw Raman standing near his room door as much in trance as she was. She saw that he was also as surprised as her.

Raman's POV

I couldn't sleep. The uneasy feeling dint let me even lie down on the bed. Hence I went out to find the reason for my uneasiness In front of me. Was it real? I don't know. I just wished it was not another illusion of her. I don't know when I called her name because the only thing I could at that time feel was my heart beat increasing, my face flushing... I know it sounds so clich but when it happens to you, you will agree with my feeling. She looked at me and the world stopped.

They kept staring at each other for god knows how long. Well it seemed like forever but in reality it was just a minute.

The first one to break the eye lock was Ishita as an unknown source caused her hair to irritate her eyes. Seeing ishita look away Raman as well realized their position, which had now reduced to nothing. They were as close as anyone can be without touching.

"I... I am... I mean what are you doing here? I... did you want anything?" Raman fumbled and sighed to at last find his voice back.

Ishita dint know what to say. She had actually lost her voice now.

"Ishita... I... are you okay?" Raman asked genuinely concerned seeing her not responding him.

Ishita seeing him worried came back to being normal. She felt his breathe on her face and her face reddened.

"Uhmm... yes... I was just walking around. I am sorry I didn't mean to disturb you... I" She answered trying to hide the blush.

"Oh its okay" and the silence prolonged for a long time again. They dint know what to speak. This was the first time they were actually facing each other and it was a very awkward moment for them.

"So how are you? I saw you in the campfire just some time back. You seemed to be enjoying then why did you not stay?" Raman voiced out his thoughts.

"Well, I got bored of staying there"

When you are not there why would want to stay there you pig head... oops sorry... prand Ishu did you notice he actually saw you dance' Shut up don't dream so much. Everyone must have noticed it not only him alone'

"I saw you yesterday in the valley singing" he whispered seeing her lost in her thoughts.

Ishita came back to her senses however she didn't hear what he said.

"Huh? I am sorry I dint listen." She asked him to repeat.

"I... I saw you yesterday in the valley when we had gone for trekking. You were singing," he again whispered muting the last part to nothing.

"Oh" she was surprised he had noticed her. She dint know what to answer him.

"I was literally deaf listening to you." He tried easing the situation.

"Haww, that's so mean." She was now shocked that he actually said that.

"What really, kabhi agar paise chahiye toh gaane ke bare toh mat sochna. Paise ke jagha kahi tumhe jhoote na dede." He said grinning at her.

She randomly started hitting him on his arm.

He tried dodging her ran away trying to save himself. Ishita ran behind him. They were laughing like crazy. Their laughter echoed in the whole corridor. At last Ishita caught up with him.

"You are so mean Raman. How can you say that I sing bad. Haww kabhi apne aap ko gaate hue suna hai. You are worse then a sheep bleating or cow mooing."

"Yeah Whatever. Ab sach ko tum jitna bhi chupalo tum gaati bahut bura ho" he again tried irritating her. He again tried hitting him. However, he seemed much prepared now. He caught her hands and twisted it behind her back plastering her back to his front.

"Baby doll aur kitna maaroge. I was just joking yaar." He huskily whispered it bending near her ears. Feeling his breathe and his words Ishita's breathing hitched. The proximity caused something in her.

Raman noticed her heavy breathing and realized their position. He slowly placed his chin on her shoulders nuzzling her neck. Ishita moaned feeling overwhelmed and aroused. He slowly turned her to face him. He saw the reflection of his desire in her eyes as well. He cupped her cheek and bent his head brushing his lips to hers. Ishita quivered and opened her eyes, which had closed unknowingly. She parted from him before he could move further.

She blushed remembering what had just happened with them.

Raman on the other hand was confused about why she moved away from him but as soon as he saw her face he smiled cheekily.

"I need... to... go... bye" she tried running away from him.

"So are we friends now?" he called out to her. She stopped in her track and turned towards him.

"Meet you tomorrow Ravaan Kumar" she addressed him with the name she only called him in her head. The endearment was an answer to his question. He smiled widely brushing his hair with his fingers. Ishita too smiled and ran away from there.

They didn't know how they became friends, why they were so comfortable with each other but it had happened.

Both the souls rested restlessly. They dint know what had transpired between them meant something or not. But one thing was clear. Their friendship had begun. The first step towards their blooming love. They dint now when and how they became close to each other. From two strange souls they became one soul. A ripple had formed in the calm water. It would now always have a ripple. Ripples of love.
