As we went from II being pregnant to her trying to get back to job and getting to hear dude mention his past we crossed many milestones
1.II's immediate acceptance of the kid and having no shock but being delighted.
Even as she goes through the pains taking throwing up and being sick always.
2.Ritu displaying jealousy about II...the special treatment she received on being pregnant... The husband she got and the kind of life she has...I'm sure it was evident from how Ritu behaved.
3.dude's weak side? Well let me put It this way...its always looked at from the protagonist's side in most love stories... The tall brooding handsome man sweeps her off the feet...but never did we see the mention about how it would kill him to loose her.
And the whole mention about the choice women was a great stage to play out how dude wants to hold her close...how it troubles him to not hear from her and how he would strive to get her back to talking
Hey the equation is pretty balanced
4.dude showing acceptance and understanding towards II's side of the family wale issues.
He insisted on staying... What drama happened or not isn't the point but he tried is.
5.II's acceptance of his wealth and her feeling lucky too
In the course of time when she reflected upon akka's issues...she did feel glad for herself and notice the birght side.
And she did want him to spend for her.
And about her being reluctant to dude's social life...firstly... Yup she should try but hey when dude doesn't care why would she need to?
Isnt the immideate family enough? Dint she involve herself in the bhallas and Sam's family and Manny's issues? She never ran away...infact fought dude for dad.
And the rest of the socialising will take time.
Mostly because she is suffering self doubt and also is worried about being judged... It's a middle class thing when we bother what others thing about us and feel like we shouldn't embaress ourselves and not her dislike towards the kind of crowd... II isnt the judgemental kind.
And about appa and bala having to grow a spine
My view about the conversation is...everybody fights their battles and they are big for them...for appa and bala the family issue the office crisis is the biggest they had to face and expecting wife to support them is how they have seen life...they also give their women an equal right to speak in their professional decisions..!
Dude on the other hand had to handle a business and all that...his battles are different... As much as he is considerate about II...he never would care to involve her in professional advice or his decisions... We have already seen that...II had no clue about the union issue...hence he also wouldn't expect II to make compromises and understand his mood and also wouldn't vent with her...pros and cons on both fronts...different people different types of relationships
