He wandered away from the display case and stared at the bowl, milkmaid stood behind it letting him make up his mind
His eyes wandered searching for his wife
II stood at the end of the passageway leading to the rest rooms
He arched an eyebrow urging her to make a pick
"I called Dad's driver, since u are too busy to drop me home" she mumbled as soon as she got to him
"Whattt?" he was confused
"Umm... ya... I can take a cab home even" she reminded
He held her elbow tightly and dragged her closer "NOT here II" he warned
"Oh! I am sorry u didnt want Milkmaid to know u had a temper?" II asked "sweetly"
He exploded into a laugh "She does look like it doesnt she?" he asked appreciating his wife's sharp wit
"Kaiya vidu da" (let go of me) she ordered hissing like a singed kitten
The family that waited to use the rest room was ordering and the employee billed their order after scooping theirs out
R&B turned II so she could face the digital display where ice creams and flavors changed every few weeks they claimed
"I am not going to be able to eat anyway Rs.300 a scoop is too much" she said He let go of her hand and tucked his hands in his pockets, his jaw clenching
"If u paid for it u wouldnt feel so guilty throwing it" he whispered bluntly
She hung her head embarrassed "I will throw it up I know" she whispered, unwilling to cower down
"shhh... enough!!!" he whispered
Steered her towards the display case...
"SOOO Have u made up ur mind?" the girl gushed, as if II didnt even exist
II looked at her like "Really?"
She deliberately placed her choora clad wrists on top of the case and tapped, and reached for a "coupon brochure", "a glossy catalog"

"Made up ur mind?" he nudged his wife
"I told u" II said "sweetly"
"Please pick carmalized pecan..." she reached for the steel scoop sitting in a bowl of heated water and aimed for the bowl
"I WILL HAVE CHOCOLATE" II said firmly "In case u want to serve me" she continued
"Oh ya... ya... ofcourse" the girl smiled unaffected
"Do u have half a scoop?" II asked
"Umm... No Maam" the girl shook her head
"What about kid's sizes?" Ii asked
"Its a scoop... Maam" the girl explained
"Yes, I will have a scoop of chocolate" II nodded with no "Thanks" at the end
"And YOU?" Milkmaid asked conspiratorially, with a wicked smile
He shrugged carelessly
"Paavam kekara, sollu kanna... illena engeyanum manasu odinju velaya vittuda pora"
( tell her no, poor lassie, what if she is so heart broken she quits her job?)
He got the first half until kanna, the other part he didnt...
She shot daggers at him, he caught em all
"I will take the Moose Tracks please" he said, a chocolate, vanilla swirly thing
The gilr's face fell "U did not like my favorite"
II he loved it so much hes going to take a tub home" II smiled "sweetly"
Milkmaid didnt appreciate II's interference in her private paradise so she looked at R&B's face for confirmation
"Please?" II insisted
"I would like a tub of chocolate too" R&B muttered
When they were done, they carried everything to the car... the girl asked him "How far do u have to go?" (for packaging the tubs)
"Just around the corner Malcha Marg" he said
"U LIVE IN MALCHA MARG?" she squeaked
He nodded
"have u been to Psycho Mo's Motor Lounge?" (a pub)
He nodded
"OMG!!! I WISH I LIVED THERE" the girl sighed
To II she seemed like a spoilt brat, that worked at the ice cream parlor so she could hit on married men
Harmone overdose, tired after a long day, having to compete for Rakshasan suddenly, all got to her...
She carried her scoop and grabbed the bag of tubs and walked to the car and leaned on the back, he paid and walked out
A guy had parked too close on her side
"Can I pull out?" he asked
"Vendaam" "Just open" she ordered huskily
He pressed the remote, she set the bag in the bag seat and got in with her scoop, sat down, buckled
And ate quietly
When they got home.. she took the ice cream to the kitchen and went to her pod swing.
It was 8 ish, no sign of Ranjan...
R&B walked over to the balcony, she turned her face away staring at the dimplomat's residence, he ate his quietly for a minute or two
She had barely eaten her ice cream but she still held the fancy boquet like cup in one hand the pink USB in the other
He walked over and took the ice cream from her
She got off the swing "Can I have my ice cream please" she demanded
And grabbed it and went to bed and gobbled it up laying down... shutting her eyes
When he came into the bedroom, she asked "Do u want to watch the video?" she asked huskily
"I have a call at 9" he told her softly
"And yet u could time flirt with some random chick?" she accused
He didnt expect that ONE BIT.
He looked like his ice cream had a hair ball
