DEV walked off towards Dr. Naina's room. He push the door softly and went inside to meet her but cabin was empty so he asked from the peon who told him that she was on the round. Dev frustrates more. He wants to do finish here's work as soon as he can. So he to left in order to search her. Dr. Naina was on the round. She checked all the patients one by one. She reached to spl ward.
"Dr. Naina here in this room our new patient is resting." junior doc informed her before both went inside.
"oh,i completely forgot to read the file of this patient. Dad was in hurry and told me to read his details. Lets move in and meet our patient first." She wasn't aware who was te new patient and from where he belongs to. Already she was handling many cases and just forgot to read his file.
Dr. Naina enters in the room. Maan was laying lifeless. He was staring the blank wall of his left side. His face was half showing only. Dr. Naina enters,while finding new patients's file from her folder. She found and open the first page to got basic detail of the patient.
"mam he was suffering from waist down paralysis." her junior told instanly. After the Hospital's name there was basic information which included name,age etc.
Her eyes widened and folder falls down from her trembling hand the moment she read the name, Mr. Maan Singh Khurana. She bend and collect the papers quickly and left the room before Maan noticed her.
She walked in pace without glancing back. Her beats were rosed and heart thumping against the rib cage. Not sure the exact feeling. She was running away and collide with Dev. But not bother to look at him and just run away. Dev noticed and his eyes were also widened with shock. "how is it possible?" he asked from himself and without wasting a minute ran after her.
Dr. Naina entered in her room and falls on her chair. Her legs trembling and body sweating hard even when ac was on. She raised her hand to grab the glass of water and empty it in a go. Same time Dev invaded in her cabin and glass falls down from her hand. A sharp noise even fails to end the silence made space between them. Both glance each other. Dev gradually walk towards her.
She was trying her level best to not let him know about her nerveousness but failed. "you are alive?" in his one question there were so many emotions intact at once. Happiness, guilty, anger and pinch of betrayal. She stayed silent dont gave any reaction then he pulled her from her chair so both come face to face. He glance in her eyes were terror was clearly evident. "why Geet? Why? Why you do all this? From past 10 you were missing. I am daily dying in a guilt that i dont able to protect you from bro,and here you not even bother to inform us that u are alive." Dev confront her.
She was again silent not giving any reply only few shedding few drops. That night come alive before her eyes all over again. The wounds which not completely healed greened up again because of the presence of Maan and Dev. Both remined her of that horrible past, which she trying to erase from her life for forever. Seeing her silent Dev jerked her and squeezed her in his hands. He wants answer and explaination. "pls Geet don't stay silent and say something. Why this fake drama of Dr. Naina? Why you hide yourself?"
"i don't know what are you talking about." her voice was flat and eyes stoned.
Dev cupped her face and made her look at him. "Geet pls don't behave like this." he pleads.
"Geet was died Mr. Dev Singh Khurana. Your brother killed her ages ago. Bit by bit every day and night,he killed her. The person you seeing this moment was her body only. Her soul was died." her body was stiffed and eyes burning in process of controlling her tears ready to float.
His throat choked and eyes clenched at the glimpse of pain she enduring with Maan and once again destiny brought her forgotten past in front of her. "Geet i am sorry. I went London in hope of help from dadima. But she was dying. She was in hospital on her death bed. I can't leave her in that condition. I am sorry Geet. I am equally responsible for your sufferings." he whimpered having a sort of guilt on his heart. His heart and lashes heavied but Geet didn't react. She stood silent. "but how you managed to escape from death?" He asked seeing her silent.
"i got a chance to run away from hhim but he chasing me in his car. In order to escape from him i entered my car in restricted area to which my car lost its balance and falls in deep vally. But i falls in small pound from its broken door,much before from the blast. All saw the blast of my car and assumed that i was died in that blast. I don't had any idea what's going on with me. When i got my conscious i was in Dr. Asthana's house. He asked me but i don't told him anything,so he didn't forced me. He lost his daughter few days back. Here no one saw his daughter ever so he introduced me as his daughter Naina. This name Naina was given by him. Here i got a chance to restart my practice. Dev every thing is over,so please Maan ko yaha se le jao. I don't wanna see him again. Still i am struggling to get rid of those horrible days i spend with him. Dev take him away. I can't help him." Geet told him her side story and asked to took Maan away from her.
NOTE:-
I know you guys have a doubt how she become a doc suddenly only in ten months. Then wanna tell you Geet was practicing as a doc in private hospital before marying to Maan. But i never showed this to keep the suspence on. Her uncle took loan for her higher studies. Now i hope you i am clear the picture. Still having doubt then let me know.
