Khushi giggled as Samaira climbed on her lap and buried her face in her tummy. Khushi ruffled her soft hair and dropped a kiss there. "Daddy is coming today, Samaira..." Khushi said, smiling.

Samaira squealed, happy to hear the word Dadddy'.

Khushi giggled more and looked at Ayaan, who lay on the bed, smiling at her. As Samaira lay on her lap, she bent and took Ayaan is her arms. "Is Ayaan happy? Daddy is coming today, baby.." she kissed his cheeks.

He snuggled more into his Amma's warmth in reply.

Khushi smiled. It's been a one long week without Arnav ji. And they have missed him so much. The time without him had made her realize how much involved he is her life, a life she thought she had made only with her babies. Despite of her trying to keep him away from her life, he has become an important part of her life, a part she can't imagine her life without.

She looked down to see Samaira rolling down from her lap, and her smile widened. Her babies are so happy today, as if knowing they will get to see their Daddy today.

"Samaira, baby come here" Khushi called her back as she saw her crawling towards the bed's edge.

Samaira stopped and turned her head to look at her Mother.

"Come here..." placing Ayaan on her lap, Khushi opened her arms for Samaira.

But Samaira supported her back against a pillow and sat there grinning at her Amma.

Khushi smiled at Samaira and saw her taking hold of the TV remote lying beside her. Picking the remote, she clicked a button and the quiet room boomed with noise.

"Naughty Samaira.." laying Ayaan on the bed, she headed towards Samaira, but the next thing she heard from the TV sent a chill down her spine. She turned to look at the TV, and her world froze.

Arnav entered the room, and as expected, he heard his daughter's delighted squeal. He grinned and ran towards her, picking her up and cuddling her close to his heart. "Samaira, I missed you so so so so much girl... I love you.." he showered her sweet face with kisses. "Daddy missed his Samaira..." kissing her forehead, he looked at Ayaan who was lying beside Khushi. Keeping Samaira on the bed, he leaned over Ayaan. "I missed you, sweetheart" he kissed his lips. "I love you ..." Arnav lifted his head to look at Khushi, who wasn't looking at him, a distant look in her eyes. He frowned. She was happy when he called her few hours back, then what happened now?

"Khushi?" he placed his palm against her cheek and made her look at him. "What happened? I am so sorry for going like that. I know I should have informed myself, but it was really important meeting and I didn't had the time. I am sor..." and the jerk he felt made him stumble back. "Khushi?" his shocked eyes lifted to look into her teary ones.

She stood off the bed. "Leave!! Take the babies and leave me alone!!" She shouted, her whole form trembling with fear.

Arnav stood off the bed and caught her arms.

"Khushi, what happened? Why are you ..."

"I can't do this ... I can't live with this fear ... fear of losing everyone .. leave me alone ... Leave ...go ...go away .."

Arnav stilled. She knows. He followed the noise and looked at the TV, where a clip of his car coming out of the hospital was shown with the anchor narrating the story of his week old accident. He looked at Khushi's trembling form. God!

"Khushi ..." He took her in his arms. "I am sorry ...very sorry ... I didn't wanted to bother you. It was just a small accident , really ... Nothing big ..please stop worrying ..See I am in front of you, all fine...please..." he felt her body trembling terribly against him, and hugged her tight, wanting to take away her fear.

Khushi shook her head and pushed him away. "No.. I can't do this... YOU LIED TO ME!! WHAT IF I HAD LOST YOU?! I can't do this ... I want to be alone ...ALONE! TAKE THE BABIES AND GO AWAY! GO! GO! GO!!" She kept pushing him till he was plastered against the wall.

Arnav stared at her for few seconds before swiping her off her feet and crushing her quivering form against him. "I am sorry ...Noone is going to leave you ...please, Khushi ...I am sorry ... The accident wasn't my fault ... please..." he pleaded, he don't want to lose her again.

But she again pushed him away. "NO!! GO AWAY!! I DON'T CARE! I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE! YOU ALL WILL LEAVE ME ALONE! GO!! EVERYONE! YOU , BABIES, EVERYONE! LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

Arnav gritted his teeth in anger. She is being impossible now. He lied because he didn't wanted her to panic. But she isn't understanding that.

"I lied because of you, Khushi ...because I didn't wanted you to panic... I am not going to leave you, babies are not going to leave you. Why are you being so impossible?! What are you so scared of? Noone is going to leave you!"

"Everyone leaves me! EVERYONE! WHY WON'T YOU AND BABIES LEAVE ME?!"

"STOP!!" He caught her arms, his angry eyes looking into his lost ones. "STOP IT! You are scaring the babies, stop shouting. Noone is going to leave you! Look at me, look at the babies. We are safe. Why aren't you understanding it dammit?!"

Khushi looked at him, tears burning her eyes. Why won't they leave her? Everybody leaves her. Her Father abandoned her, the one she loved abandoned her, Rudra left her, and now when she thought everything will be fine, the fear of losing is back again. She can't live with this fear. She can't live with the fear of them leaving her anytime.

Pushing his hands away from her shoulder, she turned and left to the poolside.

Arnav ran a frustrated hand over his face. What should he do to take away her fear. This is the reason he lied to her. But he failed, and her fear is back again. He looked at the babies who surprisingly remained quiet.

Sitting on the bed, he cuddled the baby close to him. "What should I do, sweethearts ...? I swear this time it wasn't my fault. I lied because I care for her. I knew she will panic. I am sorry ..." he looked down at his babies. "Can you help me? Please sleep ...I need to talk to her .. Please sleep, sweethearts.." he kissed their forehead and laid them on the bed. He sat there patting them till they were fast asleep. Getting up, he picked them one by one and placed them in their crib.

Arnav entered the poolside, his eyes finding her sitting in one corner. Walking towards her, he sat crossed leg in front of her. "Khushi .." taking her hand from her knees, he tried to pull her on his lap, but she refused to budge.

"G...go away ..." she sobbed. "I don't need anyone ...I ...I want to be alone ..."

"No, you don't ..." he again tried to pull her, but she pushed him away.

"GO! GO!" She stood up. "Everyone just leave me! You leave me ... babies ... babies .." she hiccuped, unable to bring herself to say that.

Arnav stood up and cupped her cheek, making her look at him. "I love you, babies love you. I need you, babies need you ... We are not going to leave you, promise. It was just an accident Khushi ...I swear nothing big ... Do you think I will ever leave you and our babies? Never ..I will even fight your Devi Maiya to be with my family... I promise.." he leaned and kissed the corner of her lips. "Please forgive me ..."

Khushi shook her head, sobbing, trembling. "I...I don't ..."

She was about to pull back, but Arnav caught her and pulled her in his arms. "Shhh..."Taking her hand, he kept it against his heart. "See, I am perfectly fine.." He pressed his forehead against hers'. "All fine ..." Picking her up, he made her sit on the recliner and knelt down in front of her. "I love you, khushi ... love you so much... why will I leave you? I can never do that ... tumhari kasam.."

Khushi leaned back and closed her eyes. "I... I am afraid ...I am so afraid... I ..."

Arnav sat beside her and pulled her in his arms. "No need to be afraid ... I am there with you , always ..."

"You lied to me ...what if.." she cried against his chest.

"I lied because I knew you will panic ... I didn't wanted that ...I am sorry ...please forgive me."

Arnav waited for her to accept his apology, but she said nothing. He pulled back little to look at her sobbing form. Wiping her tears, he kissed her cheek. "Shh...Forgive me please?"

Khushi shook her head. "I don't know what to do anymore..."She tried to stand up, but Arnav held her close. Catching her chin, he made her look at him.

"I love you ...Forgive me ...

Making her stand up, he picked her in his arms and took her inside the bedroom.

Placing her on the bed, he leaned over her. "You have to let go of this fear Khushi ..it will not allow you to leave in peace ... Look at our beautiful babies, do it for them...Mujh pe chaahe yakeen karo na karo,

Khushi lifted her hand to caress the faded scar on his forehead.

Arnav caught her hand and pressed it against his lips. "You have to be strong, Khushi. ...You are strong ... Stop being so weak .." he leaned and smiled at her.

Khushi held his hand tight. "I...I..."

Arnav rested his forehead against her's. "Say it, Khushi ..." he whispered against her lips.

"I...I... I lo..ve you ... do...n't...don't leave me ..."

Arnav just stared at her , not believing his ears. "Khushi...you what...?"

"I...I love you ..." She pulled him in a hug. "Don't you ever leave me please ...please ...I will die ..I will die, Arnav ji..." she sobbed.

Arnav crushed her against him. "Never! Will never leave you, Khushi... just don't you ever go away ... don't you ever say you hate me ... God! I can't believe you said that ..." Pulling away, he showered her face with kisses. "I love you ... I love you, Sonu... don't you ever stop me from calling you Sonu ...I love you, don't go back again...I love you ...I love you ...I love you ..." his chanting came to a stop as he heard a small giggle. He saw her lips stretched into a smile, and laughed. "I am sorry ...I am so happy ... I am so happy" he kissed her lips. "I promise to be love you and our babies always ... I will never break your trust again, Khushi ..I promise...You believe me, don't you?"

Khushi nodded her head.

Arnav laid beside her and took her in his arms. "Thank you ..thank you so much ..." He kept whispering his love and gratitude till he was pulled into a sleep, filled with beautiful dreams of tomorrow.
