Ok... So I read all the parts in one go, and can I just say that I love your concept, and style of writing?!
Right from the flashbacks, to the beautiful present friendship of Vidushi and Randhir! You are an amazing writer, and the most amazing thing about your story... After your amazing titles, is how it's all in Randhir's POV! It's interesting to see a new POV in the story sometimes, and know I'm dying to know what exactly had happened to Sanyukta! Plz continue as soon as possible, and if its possible plz also PM me about the updates :)

PART EIGHT - ITALIAN ROAST

"Hello," said the voice on the phone, and I could swear to God it was her. My Sanyukta. My Farzi.

"Sanyukta!" my voice slipped out before I could contain the excitement. "Randhir!" I heard her gasp and put the phone down. It didn't matter to me though; just hearing her voice gave my life a new lease. It had been years since I last heard her say my name. She brought life into it, as if saying something so precious and invaluable. The way she said it always made me want to kiss her. And now that I had heard her say it again, I felt a ray of peace penetrating my heart.

"It was her," came out a mere whisper. I felt a hand on my shoulder, but I couldn't bring myself to turn. My eyes clouded as I recalled the last time I had heard her voice.

--

"Sanyukta, I know something is going on with you."

"Why would you say that? I'm telling you! It's better for both of us if we break up! Trust me!"

I was enraged. "You have never been the one to run away from a problem, then what's it this time?" I prodded her. "You can't just expect me to believe your bullshit of an excuse after having gone through so much together!"

"Randhir, you know how much I love you. So trust me on this. Please!"

I fell silent, frustrated from what she was saying. I shifted the phone to my other ear, "What if I say I don't and I never will for this?" I spoke, my voice threatening to betray.

"It's over Randhir," and she hung up.

--

Her voice had been laced with a tone of defeat, a tone I had never felt in her voice before.

I finally looked behind me to see a worried Parth and a frantic Vidushi trying to grab me a glass of water. I cleared my eyes and smiled; "I'm okay guys!"

A look of understanding crossed Vidushi's eyes as she met mine. We had been through this before, I realized.

"So she is married," Parth said, breaking the silence.

I had been too caught up with hearing her voice to realize the conclusion that was just drawn. And then as he said it, the truth finally dawned upon me. My smile vanished, as my mind went into an over-drive thinking of all the reasons why she would have gotten married.

She got over you Randhir! She found someone else! She did that which you couldn't; move on, my mind screamed out to me.

But my heart defied the logicality of my mind; Maybe she had no choice!

The more I tried to ignore these sounds, the more audible they became.

--

"So are you saying that if we break up, you will actually find someone prettier and get married to her AND have kids?" she lashed out, crossing her arms.

I smirked, "Yes of course! I would find a girl who wears sexy dresses, goes to bars..." I stopped, not knowing if I was treading on thin ice. She glared at me, and I don't know what took over, but I continued. "You know, someone who likes to have fun!"

She pointed her eyes at me before stomping off, muttering under her breath, "Once an MCP, always an MCP."

I laughed at her anger, even though I knew it was going to be so much work to pacify her. After the incident, she ignored me for a couple of days despite my countless efforts to get her to speak to me. Then one night, we were all going out to a club for Kaustuki's birthday. It was usually the kind of thing that Sanyukta would pass over; but in an attempt to challenge me, she agreed; or that's what I thought at that time anyway.

--

It was only later that night that I discovered it was Sanyukta's idea to go to a club in the first place. In fact, Kaustuki had refused initially, but then again, we are speaking of Farzi here... The most stubborn girl I've ever known; and so it was no surprise that Kaustuki had given into her pleas.

That night, I got to see Farzi in a whole new light. Not only did she look sexy in the dress she chose to wear for the night, she had a glint of confidence with the way she carried herself. It turned me on to see her like this.

--

I went behind her as she went to the bar. "A shot of vodka please," she ordered the bartender. I smirked, "Mind if I join you?" I sat beside her. She shrugged her shoulders, "I couldn't care less what you want to do," she replied roughly.

Oh this was going to be fun...

We both took down 6 neat shots of vodka, and would have taken many more had Parth not come in to stop us. Obviously, if it were only the two of us, neither one would have backed out. Parth knew that very well, so he was wise enough to watch out for us.

The next moment, some guy from the club asked Sanyukta for a dance. That wouldn't normally irk me, but the fact that she agreed WHILE looking at me got me mad. Before she could even walk a step with him, I grabbed her by her forearm and pulled her behind me. Putting myself in between them, I made him back off. "Just leave," I spit out.

He walked away, and I took Sanyukta to the dance floor.

"What the hell was that?" I asked. She shrugged, yet again. "I was just having some fun Randhirrr," she said as she wrapped her arms around me. "You think I'm boring right? So I'm just proving you wrong!" she smiled.

"Well I stand corrected," I whispered. She pulled me closer to her, almost hugging me now.

"Farzi, you know dancing is not my thing. Want to go sit somewhere?" I genuinely asked. "Who's the boring one now?" she smirked. "Point proven milady, now care to grab a seat?"

She smiled and led me away from the dance floor. I was too dazed by her to realize where we were going, until she called out for a cab, "Let's go home?" she asked.

By the time we reached her hostel, she had already fallen asleep. After helping her to her room, I put her to bed and left, the vodka finally catching up to me.

--

The next morning, I went to her room and picked her up for breakfast.

"Hurry up Farzi! I don't want to have to rush back for our lecture!"

She groaned, "Stop screaming Randhir. My head's already pounding, and you're just making it worse."

"Yea, well who told you to get so drunk last night?" I sarcastically remarked.

Vidushi snickered in the background as Sanyukta scoffed. "Now who's wasting time with their useless comments?" she glared at me before heading out. Maybe it was good that she didn't like to drink; they made her more snappy than ever. I pushed the thought aside and drove her to The Coffee Club, our favourite place for breakfast.

"One French Vanilla and one Black Coffee please!"

"Why Black Coffee? I thought you hated it!" she looked confused.

I laughed, "Oh I hate it, that's why I'm drinking the French."

"But I hate Black Coffee too!" she pouted. I smiled, "It'll help with your headache Farzi."

She took my word for it, and we sat down with our cups.

"Listen, Randhir. I'm sorry about last night. I just wanted to get back at you for saying all that!"

I held her hand with mine, "It's okay! Relax! It's not like you did something crazy! Plus, I was only joking around with you! If I wanted to be with a person like that, I would be with a person like that. But I don't!"

"What would you actually do if we break-up?" she said, hesitation evident in her eyes.

"Firstly, I don't know why you're assuming we're ever going to break-up. But if we do, it doesn't matter. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else but you Farzi," I assured her.

She grinned. "I love you Randhir. But don't you dare even joke about leaving me, because I'll hunt you down and kill you personally!

I feigned a scared look, "You monster!" to which we both just laughed.

"I'll never let you go MCP!"

"Same goes for you Farzi!"

--

"You know she was the one who always told me she would never let go..." I spoke cautiously.

"What do you want to do?" Vidushi asked softly.

"You don't have to do anything Randhir!" Parth added.

But I had made up my mind. "I'm gonna see her."

I grabbed my coat that was lying on the sofa and walked out, dialling the same number once again.
