Chapter Twelve.

She jumped over the boundaries, searching for Nimish. His eyes hungrily lingered at her moving form as she was pretty engrossed in her own world. She walked looking elsewhere and collided with something firm. She landed on the floor and his firm body came crashing down at her. Her eyelids met the very instant and her hands went clutching his shirt, while his arms wrapped around her, protecting her. She let out a sigh of relief and found him staring at her as she parted her long lashes. Losing herself in the darkness of his orbs she stayed there beneath him.

Her trance was broken as she heard the cooker blowing the whistle. She shoved her thoughts, and glanced at him oddly. His smile glistened as he was engrossed in her magical eyes. She didn't know why he gets easily drowned into her eyes. For her it was common to have brown eyes and hers were blunt to some extent. She never found her eyes appealing, as his gaze made her feel. And for him it had a pool of emotion, deep and enticing - his world resided in the beauty of her eyes, pure and untouched.

Left with no option, she screamed his name and even that seemed to be melodious to him. "Manik, get up. Please!"

"Nandini, you don't need to scream. I know you love me. I love you too, baby." She blushed at his antic ways to make her confess, while he still didn't bother to move a bit.

"You haven't yet earned it." She said while a smirk ruled her gorgeous lips. "Kindly bother to move, I am in a hurry." She continued further.

"And why do you think I will let you go that easily?" She passed a suspicious look while he kept grinning. "You know it's like a give and take.." he paused intently looking at her and said, "relationship.."

"So you have to give me something if you really want to leave." He stressed on the word Something' as his mischievous smile gave her a hint of the upcoming danger.

"I won't." She declared being the stubborn self.

"Fine! I don't mind being here," He purred his husky voice, "laid upon you," He continued he dipped into the crook of her neck, "so close." While she was losing it bit by bit, he was already lost into the tempting aroma that she possessed.

"Manik-" She cried his name like a small kid would. "Not until I get my something." His something was getting unbearable for her and he was still playing along.

"Listen, Mr. Manik, either you get off me or get nothing from me. The choice is yours." She warned him and he unexpectedly kissed the tip of her nose. "For now, this is will do." saying so he got off from her. She was shocked. She pretended to put up the furious expression but she couldn't. Her lips formed the shy smile. And once she stood up, she rushed to the other way, searching for Nimish. While he knew where she would land up next - in his arms again!

I am glad this story has been too enough to make you impatient. 🤣

Wasn't Nimish the reason why she met him in the first place? He would always be the cupid intentionally or unintentionally. 😆
