CHAPTER 7



It is said that if you dig a hole for someone, you tend to fall into it. Come, lets see if Manya falls into Uday's trap or he does himself...



Today was the day when the group decided to go hiking. They were going to a jungle on the skirts of the city. They reached their destination by a mini bus and started their hike from there. The bus left soon after the went into the jungle because they didn't want anyone to disturb them. They didnt even take thier mobile phones with them. It was Uday's idea because he didn't want any matters of his riyasat to disturb him. Every year he used to go hiking to get rid of the tensions of work. Neither did he take his cell and nor did he allow anyone to take theirs.

"Before starting this adventure I have certain things to clarify" said Uday in an authoritative voice, "I'll be giving you all a GPS device so that in case anyone of gets lost, we'd be able to locate them. All of these devices are connected to mine. If you are lost, I'll know where you are."

"What if you get lost? " joked Vijay.

"I was expecting this question but not from you Vijay. The answer to your question is that if I know where you all are I won't get lost. Simple isn't it" he replied.

"Next thing is that we'll be camping at the place I have decided and.."

"I thought we are here for a hike then camping? " interrupted Priya.

"We ARE here on a hike but we do need to spend these 2 nights somewhere, don't we? Besides you don't want to sleep with the wild animals do you? " He answered.

"Animals! Wild animals! N.No... You are right" stammered Priya.

"Very Well then.. here are your GPS devices" he said giving each one of them their respective ones, "So shall we proceed?"

"YESSS" said all in unison.

They first went to the place where they planned to camp. They agreed on first setting the tents up and then starting their hike. They put up 2 tents. One for the boys and other for the girls.

"Lets start our Adventure now" said Unnati Excited about it.

"Yeah lets go"

"Hurry up.. come on"

"Lets go"

Uday was the team leader.
"There's a river not very far from here. First let us go over there okay? " he said.

"Okay" They all said.

They started their journey . Midway between it Manya asked for Uday "Umm Uday I wanted to ask you that how will we know the way out of this place"

"You don't need to worry about it. I have handled it pretty well." he replied.

"But still I..."

"You see this.." he said showing her his GPS navigator, "It has everything I need to know about this place"

"ok"

"Good" he said.

They reached the river pretty soon. They sat down there for a while and had their lunch.

"Oh My!! Its 1 pm already. Time is flying it seems!!" exclaimed Vijay.

"I know!" replied Unnati

"All good things have an end my friends" said Shaurya in a dramatic tone.

"Hey Manya why are you so quiet today" Priya asked Manya.

"No it's nothing like that" she answered.

"Its time now guys lets get going" said Uday interrupting.

"Where to now dada" asked Unnati

"There is a waterfall here and that is our next destination" he answered

"WOW!!" exclaimed Priya.

"Lets go.." Said Uday.

They reach their next destination soon. It is a marvellous place. The most beautiful thing about it is the waterfall which makes the place look like heaven on earth.

"This is just amazing..." exclaims Unnati "I wish I could stay here for the rest of my life"

"I'll be joining you Unnati" adds Priya

They explore the place and spend some quality time there.

"Its almost tea time guys" said Vijay

"You are always hungry" said Shaurya

"Aren't you? " asked Vijay.

"As a matter of fact I am" replied Shaurya

"Lets get going then, to the camp site"

"Yeah lets go" added Manya.
They head towards the camp enjoying every moment of this adventure. They reach the place and enjoy their tea. Next they think of playing games. They played Truth and Dare.

"Truth and Dare is of no Use, make it Dare and Dare" said Shaurya.

"Why what's the problem with Truth?" asked Unnati to Shaurya.

"Because You girls never choose Dare"

"No we don't"

"Yes you do"

"No we don't"

"Okay then prove yourself"

"Done! how"

"Make it Dare and Dare"

"No, why? Say something else"

"That proves that you will choose truth and not dare! "

"Fine then make it Dare and Dare"

"That's the spirit!! Come lets play"

"Yes!!"

The sit in a circle and spin an empty water bottle. Its Vijay's turn First.

"Oh God! Why me? " he exclaimed.

"Oh come on Vijay be a man" said Uday.

"Okay. What do I have to do?"

"Sing a song" said Unnati.

"What! a song! I bet you all will be Deaf by the time I end it!"

"come on vijay sing na!"

"oh kay then here I go"

He stands and clears his throat before singing.
He sings

Everyone is rolling on the floor laughing.
"My God Vijay!!" said Unnati still laughing "You could have chosen some other song"

"Why was it that bad" Asked Vijay with puppy eyes. After seeing Vijay's face they could not control any more and started laughing hysterically.

"Its not funny" said Vijay annoyed.

"Ok lets get back to the game" said Uday seriously. Everyone looked at Uday quietly before they start laughing again.

"I quit!" said Vijay.

"Ow don't quit. Come on guys back to game now." said Unnati in between giggles.

Once again they settled down and the bottle was spun. It was Manya's turn now.

"Oops" she said.

"Who is going to ask" she asked.

"I will" said Uday.

"You.. but.."

"Why? Can't I"

"You can.."

"So I say why don't you go and bring us some fruits"he said with a smirk.

"Fruits! Where from? "

"Isn't that obvious? From the jungle"

"But what if I get lost?"

"You have your GPS right? You won't get lost okay?"

"But I"

"Are you afraid? "

"NO" she said sharply.

"Then go"

"Okay" she said, defeated.

She gets up and starts moving towards the jungle. She turns to take a look and says "Are you sure? "

"Yess I am now go"

She leaves. Although she said that she wasn't afraid to go inside the jungle, yet she WAS.

After she had gone, Shaurya asked Uday, "That is a very difficult task"

"It isn't. She will do it" replied Priya.

"Lets see what she does." says Uday with his signature smirk.

15 minutes passed and she didnot return. Everyone except Uday was scared that she might get lost.

"Dada she didn't return yet" said Unnati.

"It takes time to bring fruits Choti, relax"


Now it has been an hour since she went.

"Dada Please do something"

"Okay if you insist I'll go and see"

"I am coming with you dada"

"No choti I have the main GPS I'll find my way first to Manya and then bring her back. You can get lost ok"

"Ok dada"

"None of you will be leaving this place. Is that Understood? "

"Yes" They all replied.

Because of this girl I'll have to wander around in the jungle now! he thought.
