OOPS, I GOT IT WRONG!

Oops, I got it wrong!
B-town's glam gals confess to their red carpet faux pas.

KANGANA RANAUT

Not so eye-catching

There have been times when I'm tired, haven't eaten or slept well, and turned up on the red carpet in an eye-catching dress but with puffy eyes. Since then I've learnt that if you cannot make a splash on the red carpet, it's best to make a quick exit. Thank God that doesn't happen often. Usually, I have my hands resting lightly on my waist, lift my chin up and walk like I own the place.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA

High heels ki galti

I found myself in a soup once when I underestimated the length of the red carpet and stepped out in sky-high stilettos. I posed for pictures, met fans, did interviews and by the time I got to the other end, my feet were killing me. The red carpet can be scary, even unforgiving, with everyone scrutinising and judging, but I always enjoy the spotlight.

RADHIKA APTE

Hooked to a cape

At a recent style awards, I was wearing a cape over a dress, feeling really stylish. Then, just as I stepped out of the car, the hook of the cape snapped. My friend, Gulshan Devaiah, who was my escort for the evening tried to fix it. And before we knew it, we had the paparazzi rushing up and flash bulbs going off. I warned Gulshan we'd be in the papers the next day. He just laughed it off saying, "Cool, we look cute!"

SHEFALI SHAH

Wrong choice

I have often worn the wrong dress and found myself looking out of place. And realised the hard way that even if you're low on morale, look like you're high on confidence by telling yourself you're special, if not perfect. Also pray that you don't fall on your face or reveal more than you signed up for.

ANUSHKA SHARMA

Not fit and fine

Once I decided to try out a new neoprene fabric which was the latest fad. Everybody was wearing it so I decided to give it a shot. And got myself into an uncomfortable, ill-fitted dress. Since that day, I've never tried to follow others but have always been myself.

PARINEETI CHOPRA

No arm-twisting

I was told to not wear sleeveless dresses when promoting a film but I still went ahead and wore them and was trashed by the fashion police. Now that I have shed off all those not needed kilos, I can easily pull off a strapless gown with some help from the stylist, make-up man, hairdresser, dietician and nutritionist. You know what your body looks like without the wrappings. Ensure that the clothes you choose don't make you look unattractive.
