CHAPTER 81 (E). GEET KNOCKS SOME SENSE INTO KHUSHI!

Day - 8 Friday

"Bas! Bas bahut ho chuka yeh drama!", Geet announced as she stormed into one of the balconies where Khushi was hiding. Khushi, who was sitting down and crying her heart out, looked up in shock. "Utho!", Geet ordered and when Khushi did not budge, Geet grabbed her by her hand and pulled her up, "Utho aur mujhse baat karo!" When Khushi just looked at her in shock, Geet lashed out in anger, "Kya ho raha hai yahaan? Bataao! Kya ho raha hai yahaan? Itni mehnat se tumhaare aur AB ke love story ko line pe lekar aayi hun aur ab tum keh rahi ho ki shaadi nahi karogi! What the hell is happening here? Tumhein pata hai ki kitni mushkil se AD ko manaaya tha maine iss rishte ke liye! Kya kya kiya hai maine iss rishte ko naam dene ke liye! Aur ab tum meri saari mehnat pe paani pher rahi ho! What the hell Khushi? What the hell!"

Khushi remained mute and her eyes continued to tear up. Geet was unable to remain quiet, "Tumhein pata hai kaisa lagta hai jab tumhaara pyaar ka tumhein reject karta hai?" She pointed at her heart, "Yahaan lagta hai yahaan! Dard hota hai! Bahut dard!" Geet sat down in the nearby chair and tears welled up in her eyes, "Dekho! Dekho mujhe! Kaise main tadap rahi hun apne Maan ke baghair! Aur ek tum ho!", She stood up and glared at Khushi, "Ek tum ho jo haath aaye pyaar ko bhi phenk rahi ho! Kar kya rahi ho tum? Apni zindagi khud hi barbaad kar rahi ho! Mujhse poocho kya kya sehna padta hai jab jo humse pyaar kare woh apni zidd par hum se door rahe! Seh chuki hun main! Ab main apne AB ko bhi iss dard se guzarti nahi dekh sakti!" Geet glared at Khushi, "Toh apna drama band karo aur jaake mere AB se shaadi karo!"

"Nahi!", Khushi finally broke her silence as she looked away, "Hum Arnavji se shaadi nahi karenge!"

Geet slapped her forehead. Ae le lo! Iski gaadi toh abhi bhi wahin atki padi hai! Ab main kya karun Babaji? Shaking her head at the drama happening in front of her, she spoke up, "Kyun? I don't understand you!"

Khushi looked at her with tear filled eyes, "Kyunki hum Arnavji se pyaar toh karte hain lekin unpe vishwas nahi karte! Humein unpar ratti bhar ka bharosa nahi! Ek taraf humein unpe bharosa nahi aur doosri taraf unka ghamand!"

Geet frowned. What the!

Khushi continued speaking, "Unka ego! Unka ahankaar! Humein poora yakeen hai ki ek na ek din yeh hum dono ke beech jaroor aayega! Isliye hum unse shaadi nahi karna chaahte!"

Geet simply stared at Khushi. Babaji! Is she serious! How she wished to shake the girl and make her open her eyes!

"Khushi! Do you love my brother?", Geet asked and Khushi looked at her insulted, "Yeh kaisa sawaal hai? Aap achchi tarah se jaanti hain ki hum Arnavji se kitna pyaar karti hain!"

"Achcha! Toh phir toh tumhein unke achche aadaton ke saath unke bure aadaton se bhi pyaar hua hoga? I mean you must have loved him even after knowing his faults and ego right?", Geet asked. Khushi remained silent and Geet pressed ahead, "Yaani ki jab tumhein unse pyaar hua tab tumhein pata tha ki woh kitne ghamandi, kitne arrogant insaan hai! Toh phir tumne unse pyaar hi kyun kiya? You knew the truth about him before you fell for him! Didn't you?"

Khushi looked down guiltily. Yes! She knew how her Arnavji was! She smiled softly as she remembered their first meet and how she had called him Rakshas! She giggled slightly as she remembered their second meet and her telling him that she was engaged just to get him off her back.

Geet continued to speak, "You know how he was! Phir bhi unse pyaar kiya! Toh ab kyun complain kar rahi ho? Itni problem thi unke ego se toh pyaar kiya hi kyun? AB hi ek bewakoof the jo apne aapko tumhaare liye badalne nikle!"

Khushi looked at her in shock and Geet nodded, "Yes! My AB has changed and you did not even notice it. Woh banda jo apni behen ke shaadi pe bhi kurta pyjama nahi pehna tumhein pasand hai isliye pooja mein kurta pehenke aaya! Woh banda tumhaari wajah se Devi Ma pe vishwas karne laga! Aaj kal woh hasta hai, apne past se aage badh chuka hai! Ek zamaana tha jab AB se shaadi se door bhaagte the lekin aaj tumse shaadi karne ke liye woh tayyaar bhi hain! Itne badal chuke hai woh aur ab tak toh aap dono ki shaadi bhi nahi hui. Jo insaan shaadi se pehle apne pyaar ke liye itna badal sakta hai toh socho tumhaare liye shaadi ke baad kitna badlega!"

Khushi looked at Geet in surprise as she took in Geet's words. She was right. Arnavji humaare liye badlein hain! Humne hi nahi dekha yeh!

"By the way, I don't understand why he needs to change!", Geet's words broke Khushi out of her thoughts, "I mean tumne uss arrogant, impulsive, egoistic bande se pyaar kiya hai! Agar wahi badal jaaye toh AB woh insaan rahega hi nahi jisse tumhein pyaar hua! Haina?"

Khushi was beyond confused now. Geet was right. Agar Arnavji badle toh Arnavji woh Arnavji nahi rahenge jinse humein pyaar hua tha! Lekin iss Arnavji pe hum bharosa kaise karein? Kaise apna haath aage badhaayein jab hum jaante hain ki aage jaake iss rishte mein bahut mushkilein aayengi!

Khushi voiced her thoughts to Geet who gave her a tender smile, "Khushi! Ek rishte mein jhagde, misunderstandings, yeh sab toh hoti rehti hai! Aur har rishte mein aage jaake mushkilein aayengi! Confusions create honge! Tumhein kya lagta hai AD aur SJ ladte nahi hain? Ya aage jaake PB aur Veere ke beech mein problems nahi aayengi? Aayengi! Sabke life mein mushkilein aayengi! Har rishte mein aayengi! Mere aur Maan ke rishte mein toh abhi se mushkilein hai! Lekin sawaal yeh nahi ki aise rishte ko naam dena chaahiye ya nahi! Sawaal yeh hai ki kya tumhaare pyaar mein woh taaqat hai ki tum uss mushkil ka saamna kar sakogi! Mere pyaar mein toh hai! Isliye toh aaj bhi main apne Maan ke liye lad rahi hun! AB ke pyaar mein bhi hai! Isliye last moment tak woh aapko manaaneki koshish kar rahe the!"

Geet paused as she waited for Khushi to take her words in and then delivered her punch line, "Ab main tumse poochti hun Khushi! Kya tumhaare pyaar mein woh taaqat hai mushkilon se ladne ki? Socho Khushi!"

Saying her words, Geet walked away. She had done her work. Now the ball was in Khushi's court. Babaji! Iss rishte ko bacha lena!

Khushi stared at the horizon long after the Geet was gone. Somewhere in the house bell rang five times. It was five in the morning. But Khushi did not notice it. She was lost in her thoughts. Geetji sahi keh rahi thi! Agar pyaar mein taaqat ho toh koi bhi mushkil aasaan ho sakti hai! Amma bhi toh yahi kehti thi jab hum aur Jiji unse kamyaab shaadi ke raaz poochte the! She closed her eyes and Arnav's words echoed in her mind. Kya tumhein mujhpe bharosa nahi? Bharosa nahi ki main sab theek kar sakta hun? Bas ek haan boldo Khushi! Ek baar! Aur sab theek hojaayega! I promise! Arnav had promised her that he would handle everything and make everything right as long as she said yes. Woh toh tayyaar the zindagi mein aane waale har mushkil ka saamna karne ke liye! Woh toh apne parivar ka saamna bhi karne ko tayyaar the, bas humaare haan ki kami thi! Woh tayyaar the kyunki unhein unke pyaar ke taaqat par yakeen tha. Hum hi ek the jo kamjor padh gaye! Hum hi ek the jisne apne pyaar ke taaqat ko samjha nahi, uspar vishwas nahi kiya!

Khushi opened her eyes and determination shone from them. Geetji sahi kehti hai! Hum darr rahe hai! Humein apne pyaar par bharosa nahi! Par ab nahi! Ek rishte ko kamyaab banaane ke liye dono aur se mehnat aur himmat lagti hai! Arnavji ne toh apni taraf se haath aage bada diya, dikha diya ki unhein unke pyaar ke taaqat par kitna vishwas hai! Ab humaari baari hai! She turned around and wiping her eyes, she ran off towards the main hall hoping against hope that Geet had yet to announce her decision to everyone.

Luckily for Khushi, Geet had yet to announce anything to the family. Till now she was dillydallying the matter by hiding in one of the rooms, unsure how to tell her Di that all her dreams were about to go down the drain. Geet would gladly admit that she was showing cowardice, the same cowardice for which she scolded Khushi for! But how is she supposed to go and break her AD's heart just like that! Finally after delaying the matter enough, Geet gathered her courage and walked towards the main hall. But just as she reached the room, she stopped in shock. Yeh kya ho raha hai? She blinked and then blinked again. Yet she could not understand what was happening.

Geet's jaw dropped in shock because in front of her were the Guptas, Khuranas and Raizadas, all excited, happy and hugging each other. What the! Suddenly, Anjali came to Geet and hugged her tightly. Geet was shocked at the tenacity of the hug. Anjali pulled away from her and kissed her forehead, "Thank you Baby!" Geet frowned; maine kya kiya? Anjali explained after noticing her frown, "Khushi ne bataaya ki tumhaari baatein sunke woh iss shaadi ke liye raazi hui hai!" Raazi? Does that mean... Her question must have shown on her face because Anjali spoke up excitedly, "Haan Baby haan! Kuch ghante mein tumhaare Veere ke saath, tumhaare AB ki bhi shaadi ho rahi hai!" Geet's eyes widened. AB is getting married! AB is getting married to KB! Geet let out a loud squeal and then she also started hugging everyone in the room. She was so happy. AB was marrying KB! If this impossible love story got its happy ending, then it means her love story will get its happy ending too! Geet hugged NT, Dev, Arjun, Annie and then came to Maan. They stood staring at each other, awkward and unsure. Where they supposed to hug too? Geet felt shy to hug Maan in front of everyone while Maan's heart wanted to hug her but brain wanted to run away. Finally, Geet huffed. Oh forget it! Ek chance toh mushkil se mila! Yeh chance main kyun gavaaun! She stood on her tip toes and hugged Maan. And just as she was pulling away, unnoticed by anyone, she placed a feather light kiss on his cheek. As she pulled away, she giggled at Maan's flabbergasted look. And with a giggle, she ran off to hug another person. I kissed Maan! In front of my family! Hey Babaji!

As everyone chattered about the two weddings amongst each other, Anjali asked where Arnav was and there was a sudden silence. Everyone looked at each other. Where is the Dulha? Geet winced. AB is in his room! And very angry with his current fianc! Hey Babaji! Hollering that she will bring her AB, Geet ran out of the room. She reached Arnav's room where he sat on the bed holding Devi Ma's idol.

"Hey AB!", Geet greeted him chirpily. When Arnav did not move or respond, she pouted, "AB! Kuch toh bolo! I thought you will be grinning like a fool!" Arnav looked at her like she was a crazy person, "What! And why am I supposed to be grinning like a fool?" Geet grinned widely, "Actually you know what! Aapko khush nahi hona chaahiye!" Arnav was totally confused now, "And why am I supposed to be unhappy?" Geet sighed dramatically, "Because in few hours, you will be stripped of your bachelor status and tied to a girl for eternity!"

"WHAT!", Arnav roared as he stood up, beyond confused now, "Motormouth! Stop speaking in riddles and seedhe seedhe baat karo!" Geet grinned impishly, "Khushi has said yes to marry you!" Arnav's face bloomed with hope and a ghost of smile spread over his lips. Geet nodded eagerly, "Haan AB! She said yes!" Arnav grinned and then his smile diminished. Geet frowned as Arnav's eyes turned hard and he sat back down on the bed, "I don't care what she wants! Because I don't want to marry her now!" Geet huffed. Ae le lo! Ek ko manaao toh doosra rooth jaata hai! Achchi Jodi hai in dono ki Babaji!

"Ab bas bhi karo yeh naatak! Bahut mushkil se KB ko manaaya! Ab aap koi naya naatak mat start karo!", Geet grumbled as she sat beside him. When Arnav opened his mouth to refute, Geet placed her hand on his mouth, "No! Not a single word out of your mouth, unless you want to tell me ki aap shaadi ke liye tayyaar ho!"

Geet removed her hand and Arnav huffed. Geet glared at him, "Now repeat after me! I will marry Khushi!"

Arnav nodded, "You will marry Khushi!"

"AB!", Geet screamed in annoyance and Arnav chuckled. Geet sighed. She turned away from him and spoke in a soft voice, "AB! Usne apne darr ko door kar diya, ab aap bhi apna ego chod do! Warna iss kheecha taani mein dono ka pyaar adhoora reh jaayega!" Arnav pulled her close and hugged her sideways. She placed her hand on his shoulder waiting for his answer. Taking a deep breath, Arnav whispered, "I will marry Khushi!"

"YAY!", Geet cheered happily as she pulled away from him. And then she smiled at Arnav, "I promise you Bhai, you made the right decision!" Arnav nodded, "I know Motormouth! I know! I love Khushi! I think it is about time our love story gets a happy ending!"

Geet nodded and then her eyes widened, "Arre! Main toh bhool hi gayi! Sab aapke baare mein pooch rah hain! Main kahaa ki main AB ko le aaungi! Chaliye!" Arnav nodded and soon followed Geet to the main hall where Anjali, Naani and Maami hugged him, Shyam and Aakash backslapped him and rest of them hugged and shook his hands but Arnav's eyes only searched for Khushi and when he found her he kept his eyes on her and her only. Khushi blushed and shied under his gaze but continued to smile at him. Geet looked between two and sighed. Haaye! Kya pyaar hai!

Everyone was happy but that happiness turned into worry when Amma opened her mouth, "Par shaadi ke jode ka ka? Lavanya ka joda toh naahi de sakat! Apshagun hota hai! Toh ab Khushi bitiya ke liye ek ghante mein naya joda laaye kahaan se?" Anjali looked at Naani in worry. Hope this does not postpone my Chote's wedding! Suddenly, Geet piped in, "Koi baat nahi! Mere paas ek solution hai!" When everyone turned to look at her, Geet grinned, "Woh AB ki pehli baar design ki gayi Saree main apne saath leke aayi thi! Socha tha ki AB ke wife ko shaadi ke baad de dungi! After all, haq se toh unka hi haina! Lekin ab Khushi Bhabhi ise shaadi mein pehen sakti hai! After all, uska color bhi toh laal hai, shaadi ka rang! Perfect rahega!" Geet looked at everyone eagerly waiting for their response.

The elders conferred amongst themselves and agreed to Geet's idea. Geet grinned. Suddenly, Arnav grabbed her arm and pulling her close, he whispered to her, "Why did you bring my first creation here?" Geet smiled at him uneasily, "You remember how you told me that you gave it to Khushi and how she returned it?" Arnav nodded and Geet continued, "I was planning to use it to emotionally blackmail Khushi! You know use it in one of our plans!" When Arnav simply stared at her with surprise, Geet looked at him innocently, "What? You are not the only one who can emotionally blackmail people! Di and I, both are trained in this art!" Arnav simply shook his head while rolling his eyes. His sister was crazy! Hope Maan knows what he is getting into!

Suddenly, Anjali stepped into the middle of the room and called for Aakash, Paayal, Arnav and Khushi to the middle of the room. When they reached her, she placed Paayal's hand in Aakash's and Khushis hand in Arnav's. Turning around she announced, "Shaadi ki tayyaariyaan shuru ki jaaye!" Everyone let out a loud cheer at that and turned away to get everything started.

Geet remained standing in her place looking on some walked in hurry, some walking slowly as they talked, Paayal and Aakash giving each other shy glances, Arnav and Khushi holding hands, Maan smiling with pride at the happy endings, Anjali giddy with happiness telling everyone what to do next. Geet smiled in happiness. AB ne Khushi ko kitna sataaya phir bhi last moment mein Devi Ma ne in dono ko mila hi diya! Then her smile turned into frown. Maine toh Maan ko galti se bhi chot nahi pahunchaaya! Toh Babaji toh mere pyaar ko mujhse milaayenge na? She looked up and her frown went away and with confidence she smiled at her God, "Haina Babaji! Aap mujhe aur Maan ko milaayenge na?" With a grin she nodded to herself. Mujhe pata hai Maan! Jab tak aapke nikalne ka time aayega tab tak aap mere ho chuke honge aur main aapki! Aur aapke saare plans jaayenge tel lene! With confidence filling her heart, Geet cheerfully walked out of the room.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

There won't be any wedding scenes in next update. Frankly speaking many writers have done it to death here in IF and also the show itself had 3 Arshi weddings, one in the temple, one on the terrace and one proper waala. So I am not going to take that up. I will directly jump to reception. But I will mention the wedding and who did the gathbandhan and kanyadaan and the whole shebang but don't expect a whole chapter dedicated to the rituals. I have something else planned for the update!
