Episode 11: Handcuffed to the Monkey
"OWW!" Luv cried, holding onto his knee as he jumped up and down in pain. Down in the Jungle Jail of Dhingra High School, Riddhi, Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha were all at work. And just now, Riddhi thought it was vital to go ahead and kick Luv in the knee. "What'd you do that for, Arrowhead?!" Luv shouted at Riddhi.
"You're such a moron! I told you to clean the boys bathroom on the first floor!"
"I did!"
"You think putting grafitti around the bathroom is called cleaning?!"
"I cleaned it of boredom! The bathrooms in this school could use some cool decor! So I did that! Its called a favor!"
"The only favor you're doing is giving me a headache! Gosh! You're such an idiot!"
As the two continued bickering, Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha shook their heads.
"I swear...those two have been bickering non stop lately." Nikkita rolled her eyes.
"Its more annoying than having Cookie around." Aditya said.
"Correction. NOTHING is more annoying than having Cookie around!" Nikkita corrected.
"What do you think, Disha?" Aditya asked Disha.
"I don't know. You got any marinara sauce?!" Disha asked as she ate from a box of chicken strips.
"Why don't you get your own sauce if you need it all the time?!" Nikkita asked Disha in an annoyed tone.
"What is going on here?!" a voice asked.
The others turned around to see Dean Rahul Kapur heading their way. "Oh! Hi King Kong!" Nikkita greeted.
"Adi, Nikki, and Dish...there's a fight going on in the canteen. I need you three to go handle it." the dean told Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha.
"Right!" Aditya agreed.
"What about my marinara sauce?!" Disha asked.
"We'll get some over there! Let's go already!" Nikkita exclaimed.
As Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha ran upstairs from the Jungle Jail, Dean Rahul Kapur looked on at both Riddhi and Luv, who were still arguing. As he came up to the two, he cleared his throat and said, "Hey! Would you both shut up?!"
Riddhi and Luv kept quiet, seeing the dean right before them. "Oh! Sorry, King Kong!" Riddhi apologized.
"And people actually call him that." Luv rolled his eyes.
"You got a problem with that, Monkey Boy?!" the dean questioned Luv.
"Not really. It just seems pretty stupid to me!" Luv exclaimed.
"YOU FOOL! DO YOU WANT ME TO ASSUME MY ULTIMATE FORM?!" the dean shouted at Luv.
"Actually, go ahead! I need to see that!" Luv said.
"You moron! You're always inviting trouble!" Riddhi shouted at Luv. "I don't even know how anyone deals with you!"
"Same with you! You're always yelling right at my face!" Luv talked back.
"I wouldn't have to if you weren't such an idiot!" Riddhi retorted.
As the two continued to argue back and forth, the dean kept quiet, looking on while shaking his head. Looks like I'm gonna need to do something for these two, the dean thought to himself.
The next day, in the morning, both Riddhi and Luv had been called down to Dean Rahul Kapur's office. The two of them walked down in the main office, heading down to his room. "Why the heck are we here?!" Luv asked in a whining tone.
"King Kong called us here. Whatever it is, you probably did it!"
"And why do you blame me for everything?!"
"Because I can! I am your probation officer after all!"
"Oh! So just because you're my probation officer, you think you can yell at me as much as you want?!"
"Yeah! Pretty much!"
Once the two reached the dean's room, Riddhi opened the door. As she and Luv went in, they came in to see the dean swaying around behind his desk to the song Pehla Nasha as it played on his iPod. The two of them looked at the dean with puzzled looks on their faces. "Um...sir." Luv called.
"NEVER CALL ME SIR!" the dean exclaimed, turning off his iPod. "You call me by one name! And one name only! King Kong!"
"I don't think King Kong would be dancing to romantic Hindi songs." Luv talked back.
"Shut up!" Riddhi told Luv. "Why did you call us, King Kong?"
"Oh yeah! Sit down, you both!" the dean told Riddhi and Luv.
Riddhi and Luv went ahead and sat down before Dean Rahul Kapur's desk as he sat down as well. The dean looked at the two of them and said, "Now, I want you two to turn and face each other." Riddhi and Luv looked puzzled, but went ahead and turned to one another. "Now," the dean began. "I want you both to insult each other."
"What?!" Riddhi and Luv said, confused.
"Go ahead. Insult each other." the dean said.
"Fine then," Luv nodded, looking at Riddhi. "You're stubborn, bossy, got no taste in music, and your forehead's the size of a billboard!"
Riddhi immediately smacked Luv in the face, making him fall off the chair, onto the floor with a thud. "And you! You're a good for nothing idiot that does nothing but fool around like a moron!" Riddhi yelled.
"Oh yeah! You yell! You're always yelling at me!" Luv talked back as he sat back in his chair.
"All right! Settle down! Now, I want the two of you to close your eyes." the dean said.
"What is the point of this?!" Riddhi asked.
"Just do it!" the dean ordered.
Riddhi and Luv rolled their eyes as they closed them. After a few moments, the two opened their eyes and were shocked at what they saw. The dean had handcuffed the two to each other by their hands.
"What the heck?!" Luv shouted. "What did you do?!"
"What is the meaning of this, King Kong?!" Riddhi questioned.
"This is for your own good!" the dean told Riddhi and Luv. "You two have been going out of control lately! So now I handcuffed you two to see just how this will make you tolerate one another! From right now, the two of you will remained handcuffed to each other for the rest of the day. Once the school day is over, you two can come back here! But I have to see that you two have learned to get along!"
"But we don't even have all of the same classes together!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"Figure it out yourselves!" the dean exclaimed. "You're dismissed!"
Riddhi and Luv looked at each other in frustration as they both left from the office. What could they do? They were now both handcuffed to each other. Stuck to one another, the two rolled their eyes as they then tried to went either way, failing to as the other kept pulling back. They kept going back and forth until Luv had pulled Riddhi along with a little too much force and made her fall onto him. As Riddhi tried to compose herself, she told Luv, "Idiot! I'm going that way!"
"My class is the other way!"
"And since when do you actually care about going to class?!"
"I don't! But I want to go my way!"
"Forget it! We're going to physics class!"
"Eww! Physics! Better reason for me not to go there!"
"Shut up! We're going there! And that's final!"
"And what makes you think you can tell me to go there?!"
"Because I'm your probation officer!"
At Physics class, students in the class looked at Riddhi with puzzled faces as she brought Luv along with her. Aditya and Nikkita were even more confused than ever. Mr. Malik looked at Riddhi and Luv as Riddhi went towards her seat and Luv took another chair to sit down. "Um...Luv Malhotra," Mr. Malik called out as Luv then turned to him. "What are you doing in my class?"
"Just for today. Don't get excited." Luv rolled his eyes.
"No seriously...why are you here?!" Mr. Malik asked.
"Let's just say we have no choice." Riddhi said as she raised her hand upward along with Luv's, showing that the two were handcuffed to each other.
"I don't want to know." Mr. Malik shook his head as he then turned to the board.
"Okay, spill now!" Nikkita exclaimed.
"How'd you two get into this mess?" Aditya asked.
"Just thank King Kong for everything." Riddhi said with a fake smile.
"I swear I will kill that guy after this is over!" Luv exclaimed.
"Oh please! He's on top of the jungle pyramid!" Riddhi told Luv.
"Riddhi! Luv! If you two are done with your lovers spat, can you keep quiet and learn?" Mr. Malik asked.
"What lovers spat?!" Riddhi and Luv shouted in unison.
"Oh how cute." Nikkita chuckled.
"It is so not cute!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"Just simmer down so I can teach!" Mr. Malik told Riddhi and Luv.
Riddhi and Luv pouted as the two of them tried to cross their arms which made them both bump their heads into each other and shout, "OWW!" in unison. Aditya shook his head, smirking while NIkkita rolled her eyes.
At lunch, Riddhi and Luv come to the table where Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha are sitting at. As the two sit down, they look upon the others who are able to freely eat their lunches without a problem. Disha, who was eating one slice of her large cheese pizza, looked at Riddhi and Luv who were looking hungry. "What?!" Disha asked. Riddhi and Luv kept silent. Disha then rolled her eyes and handed a slice to Riddhi and Luv on a plate. "Can't believe I'm sharing!"
"Have you ever thought of sharing?! I mean remember how you look from middle school?!" NIkkita asked Disha. "Now you look much different!"
"WHAT?! YOU'RE SAYING I'M FAT AND UGLY NOW?!" Disha yelled at Nikkita.
"Dish! Fish!" Aditya said as he then popped some Swedish Fish into Disha's mouth, making her shut up.
Riddhi and Luv both looked at the slice of pizza. "You have it," Riddhi told Luv. "There's no way we can share like this." Luv then looked at Riddhi, and could see the hunger in her face. He then rolled his eyes and ripped off a piece of the pizza and extended it to Riddhi. Riddhi looked at it, confused.
"Go on. Eat." Luv said, rolling his eyes. And so, Luv fed the piece of pizza to Riddhi as she then ate it. She then went ahead and ripped another piece of the pizza and extended it to Luv, who looked at her surprised. He then shrugged his shoulders and went ahead as Riddhi fed the piece of pizza to him while the others at the table looked on, chuckling.
"So cute." Nikkita said.
"Hi, Adi Pie! Did you miss me?!" Cookie exclaimed as she sat down at the table, hugging Aditya.
"And that's so not cute!" Nikkita grunted as she crushed her soda can in her hand.
Later that day, Riddhi and Luv were walking down the hall, still in annoyance at their handcuffed state. "How much longer do I have to deal with this?!" Riddhi whined. As Riddhi and Luv continued to walk, Luv was startled as he saw a group of girls heading towards his way. He then ran, pulling Riddhi along with him. "What the heck?! Where are we going?!" Riddhi shouted as Luv then went into the janitor's closet, taking Riddhi along with him. He shut the door, making sure they weren't seen. "What the heck was that all about?!" Riddhi questioned Luv.
"I don't want to be seen!"
"By who?!"
"Those freshman girls! They've always been after me ever since the year started!"
"After you?! Ha!"
"What are you trying to say, Arrowhead?!"
"That no girl would fall for a Monkey Boy!"
At that moment, a bucket of water on the top shelf then fell down and splashed the water all over both Luv and Riddhi. "You got to be kidding me!" Riddhi cried as she was soaking wet, her hair completely damp and covering her face. As she struggled to see, Luv went ahead and pushed away her hair out of her face slowly as she looked at Luv with surprise. "Well then. I guess your forehead isn't as big as I thought." Luv said. The two of them looked into each others eyes in silence as Luv had completely pushed away her hair out of her face.
Then, Nikkita opened the door of the janitors closet, surprised to see both Riddhi and Luv. But the two of them were just lost in each others eyes that they didn't even notice Nikkita. Nikkita then cleared her throat, getting their attention. "King Kong wants to see you two." Nikkita told Riddhi and Luv.
With that, Riddhi and Luv both went down to Dean Rahul Kapur's office where they were finally relieved of their handcuffs. "Oh finally! I got my own two hands back!" Luv exclaimed.
"So did you two get anything out of this experience?" the dean asked both Luv and Riddhi.
"The only thing I got was the pain from these handcuffs!" Luv exclaimed.
Riddhi then turned to Luv, looking at him as he looked at the dean. I certainly learned something, Riddhi thought to herself. That there's something else about Luv that I might not have understood yet.
