Part 12

Arnav was shocked to see Aman's reports that indeed both his dear Di and beloved wife were in the hospital. He rushed to the parking leaving all the work behind, and started to drive.
He wanted to reach the hospital at the earliest and hence he broke all the possible rules he could in the due course.

Hospital,
Arnav went to the receptionist and inquired for Anjali, but she seemed to be busy which angered Arnav.
" Tell me where Anjali Singh Raizada is or be ready to get fired!" shouted Arnav, while the receptionist was trembling in fear knowing the person in front of her to be THE ASR.
" Sir, Executive room number 5!" said the receptionist in a shaky voice, while Arnav rushed to get to the place after getting the directions.
As he came near the room, he saw Khushi sitting outside the room, while she looked numb. Not even when he misbehaved with her did she become as numb as she was now.
Arnav ran to her and asked her,
" Khushi, what happened? Why are you crying?"
She looked up to see Arnav in front of her, who was asking her with extreme concern in his eyes. That's it.
The dam of control broke to release the pain which she kept in her, seeing her dear friend on the hospital bed clad in white.
She stood up to her feet and threw herself in his arms, much to Arnav's shock. She clutched his shirt in her fist and started crying her heart out. Not that she liked him but she badly needed someone who concerned for Anjali like her, to share her pain with.
And who was better than Arnav himself who was Anjali's dear Chotte. Arnav was shocked but it came to his mind that whatever she said was completely true, or else she would never cry in his arms.
Arnav completed the hug by circling her petite frame by his muscular arms and caressing her back to calm her down, while his own eyes were now misty. The love which Anjali showered on him, made Arnav's control over tears go weak and tears made their way out.
As tears from Arnav's eyes fell, Khushi regained her composure and she realized that she was in her sworn enemy, her husband's arms. She pushed herself away from and asked,
" Why are you here? Want to take some more revenge of not taking care of your DI, Mr.Raizada?"
Arnav was shocked that Khushi hated him so much that she thought he was here to take revenge from a friend who was crying at his Di's fate.
Arnav moved closer and tried to keep his hand over her shoulders which she jerked away.
" Khushi, there is nothing like that! I am really sorry for what happened! You were never at fault! In fact you were the same as my Di in this revenge game! But at this time we should think about Di more than the revenge! It's okay if you hate me but don't tell me to go away from her!" said Arnav, almost begging her.
" Heartlessness might be the virtue suiting you, Raizada! But I can never be heartless atleast as much as you are! You can stay here but not with me! Please maintain distance from me!" said Khushi, with hatred evident in her voice.
Suddenly the doctor made his appearance and told Khushi,
" Miss Gupta, you can meet Miss Raizada! She regained her consciousness!"
Khushi immediately moved in but she was stopped by the doctor's question.
" Who is he to you?" asked the doctor, who witnessed Arnav staring at Khushi intently with love.
" Hus.." started Arnav to tell their relationship but Khushi cut in between.
" He is my friend's brother! Beyond that there is no relationship between us!" replied Khushi, while moving in.
Khushi was startled to see Anjali in this state. There were machines all around her and she was injected with numerous needles on both her hands. She had become pale in just a few hours of the hospital environment and seeing her in white was no less than a torture to Arnav and Khushi.
" Anjali! How are you?" asked Khushi, while moving close to her and taking Anjali's hand in hers while Arnav couldn't dare to speak to her.

"Khushi, I want to live." said Anjali, still not looking at Arnav who was crying seeing Anjali's state.

Khushi felt all the more heart wrenched listening to Anjali. She wants to live but how?

How will they find a donor so fast?

Arnav felt his knees go weak seeing his Di, a victim in the game of revenge, a victim of his foolishness in a state where she was asking for life and they dunno how they will give it to her.

" Who said anything will happen to you, Anjali!? You will be normal as before! Just take plenty of rest and like a good girl obey whatever the doctor's are saying!" said Khushi, assuringly while it took a super-natural effort to control her tears.

" Yes, Di. We will not let anything happen to you." said Arnav, finally daring to speak.

" Tell him to not come in front of my eyes, Khushi! Or else I might do something, which I will regret later." said Anjali not even looking at Arnav, which hurt Arnav's heart directly.

His Di, his second mother was ignoring him?

He never he had committed a huge mistake but the punishment would be so big, he never expected.

He fell on his knees and said,

" Don't kill me by saying this, Di. You know how much you matter to me. And any distance from you is as painful as death for me. Don't give such a big punishment to your Chotte, Di!"

" You are no longer my Chotte. I will forgive you only when Khushi's forgives you." said Anjali almost nonchalantly though her own heart wrenched seeing her dear brother craving for her attention.

Will this redemption lead to forgiveness or will it last till his own end?
