"Arrey wahh Di. You have decorated so beautifully" Khushi praised totally amazed by the look of the small temple in the mansion.
Anjali smiled at Khushi and arranged the pooja thal.
"How do you manage to do it?" Khushi asked still in awe, appreciating Anjali's work.
The small temple was really looking nice, especially the Devi Maiyya's idol.
Anjali chuckled lightly and looked beside her at Khushi.
"You sound it like it's difficult?" Anjali raised an eyebrow amusingly.
"Yes-" Khushi stopped the moment Arnav walked past them hurriedly on hearing the doorbell rang.
"Yes. It was always difficult for me and is still...Bua Ji used to scold me a lot" Khushi continued and chuckled remembering one of the fond memories.
Anjali smiled at her and then leaning forward she lit the diya which was in the thaal, when Arnav returned back, walking upstairs to his room and Khushi stared at his back confusedly.
Anjali shook her head and smiled as Arnav shut the door of his room.
"Why does he seem in so much hurry?" Khushi asked curiously.
"Actually, it's their farewell party today and according to Arnav, Independence Day...finally tension free and then he can join AR Corps." Anjali smiled and Khushi nodded.
"Di...I would love to learn-all this from you" Khushi said looking around at the beautifully decorated small temple.
"Sure Khushi Ji" Anjali passed a smile.

Rekha was glaring at her daughter from the corner of her eyes while arranging her messed up cupboard.
She sighed shaking her head. Lavanya is too innocent to understand everything happening around her.
Rekha could hear the warning bells in her mind whenever the scene of Arnav and Khushi laughing together merrily flashed before her eyes.
She wasn't getting any good vibes from Khushi.
She isn't what she seems like from outside. Rekha thought angrily but then her eyes widened a little as a realization dawned upon her.
What if her daughter got replaced by Khushi? Then?
What if Khushi is trying to snatch Lavanya's place?
"No" Rekha shook her head.
She cannot let this happen ever. She has worked quite hard to reach till here, to get her daughter married to Arnav because he is the actual ticket to her lottery.
But Khushi now seemed a threat to her lifetime hard work and after Dhruv's death. She cannot let it go in vain.
She again looked at Lavanya and her anger rose, her daughter wasn't innocent and but a totally stupid girl who instead of coming closer to Arnav, is busy reading the comments on her Facebook Profile picture.
Never in her life had she seen Arnav laughing with Lavanya the way he had been with Khushi.
And the thought suddenly scared her. She doesn't want any change in her plan.
Throwing her dresses on her bed, she marched towards Lavanya and snatched her phone from her.
"Whoa- What??" Lavanya asked looking with an incredulous expression on her face at Rekha who was fuming.
"Isn't better to waste your time on Arnav than Facebooking?" she spoke angrily and Lavanya looked at her confusedly.
"Huhn?" she shrugged.
"Oh Gawwd. Darling, you are just too innocent" Rekha slipped beside her on the couch.
"What's wrong mamma?" she asked.
"La darling...please start being a li'l smarter just as that Khushi and try to understand everything that's happening around you nowadays" Rekha said making her more confused than already.
"What are you talking about? And...what about Bhabhi?" she asked.
Rekha rolled her eyes.
"You are seriously witless my darling" Rekha muttered.
"Can't you grasp anything that's slowly happening around you?"
"What Mamma? I'm not getting anything" Lavanya spoke now a li'l irked.
"Khushi. She's young and beautiful La though a widow but one can easily get charmed by her...now just try to comprehend everything. She and Arnav live under the same roof darling" Lavanya gasped at her mother's words.
"Mamma, are you serious? Did you even hear what you just said?" Lavanya said, totally surprised and li'l amused of where her mother's going.
"Yes. I am. And Khushi doesn't seem good to me anymore. Just try to understand...that- she really does have a beautiful chance to become a Raizada Bahu yet another time" said Rekha and Lavanya looked away.
So her mother is seriously serious.
"Mom. Please"
"Arnav is going to marry me only and no one else and please just stop linking them, I do not like it and Bhabhi loves Dhruv Bhai so there's nothing what you think or you are assuming." Lavanya spoke angrily.
"La...??" Rekha look at her with an unbelievable look.
"Yes Mamma. Stop it. Put an end to your thoughts now" Lavanya said and that's when her phone beeped, ending the mother-daughter conversation.
"I have to go. Rajveer has come to pick me up for some shopping" Lavanya spoke getting off the couch and quickly wearing her sandals.
"Where's Arnav?" asked Rekha.
"I don't know. He must be busy" she replied casually and left from there making Rekha grit her teeth and shake her head in exasperation.
"You don't believe me. Fine. But I really can see it coming" Rekha muttered staring down at the carpet.

"Di" Arnav came rushing to the Kitchen holding his white shirt in his hands.
Anjali hummed while stirring something in a big bowl.
"Di...quickly sew this button on my shirt. I've to get ready. I don't know how this little thing broke off. It-" Arnav stopped the moment when he realized that her sister wasn't paying attention to him but was busy instructing something to Hari Prakash.
"Dii-??" Arnav called her again and cocked an eyebrow.
Here he was already late and her sister didn't even spare a glance at him.
"Haan Chote" Anjali acknowledged him in a true sense.
Arnav pursed his lips and then showed her, his shirt and the black broken button.
Anjali pursed her lips too and in answer, she showed him her dough covered hands and shrugged.
"I'm busy Chhote. Just look at my hands" she swiped her finger on her forehead and kneading the dough.
"Then...who's gonna do this for me?" he asked.
"Wear another shirt Chhote" Anjali said giving him a weird look.
"No Di. I've to wear this only" he said and Anjali rolled her eyes.
"But you see, I'm busy...remember when I used to say you to learn these small handiwork. It's really helpful sometimes" she said.
"Now I'm gonna sit and do stitching, sewing etc. Seriously?" Arnav asked.
"Jab Lavanya aaygi na ussey ye sab karwana Chhote" Anjali said and Arnav broke into a chuckle.
"Lavanya and sewing? I'm sure she doesn't even how to pass a thread through the eye of the needle. Let alone the sewing" he said and Anjali twisted her lips.
"Then learn to do it on your own Chhote" she said.
"Di I'm getting late" he groaned.
"Why don't you go and ask Khushi Ji. She's in her room" Anjali suggested adding a jug of water in the dough and frying in the pan simultaneously.
"Nice suggestion" he said and left from there making Anjali chuckle.

Khushi put the last pile of her sarees in the cupboard and closing its door, she sat on the edge of the bed near the side table and that's when her gaze fell on Dhruv's photo frame present there and a chill ran down her spine.
It has been now nine days since his demise.
Involuntary, her hand stretched and she got hold of the frame. And at the moment, all the past tortures came back haunting her.
She flinched at the memory of car crashing.
He's gone forever. He's no more.
She felt at peace. No more black shadows hovering over her.
He must be rotting in hell. Khushi thought and pursed her lips. He deserves it...she added.
She was about to put it back but stopped when she acknowledged Arnav's presence behind her, his reflection on the frame.
He was staring at her. Khushi turned to look back and smiled hesitantly at him when she noticed him now gaze intently at Dhruv's photo frame.
Arnav looked away from her a moment and then moved towards her, the white shirt in his hands still.
He suddenly felt low...she was missing him! He sighed and looked down.
"You want something?" Khushi asked.
"Arey. The button of your shirt is broken" she added quickly finding the broken button in his other hand before he could reply.
"Urh. Ye...yeah. I was actually here to get it sewn because...because Di is busy in the kitchen and I'm getting late" he said.
"If you don't mind" he said and Khushi broke into a smile.
"Why would i?" she raised her shoulders.
"You can keep the shirt here. I'll just sew the button on your shirt in few minutes" she grinned at him and got up to get the sewing kit.
Arnav nodded and stood there watching her as she expertly and quickly sewed the button on his shirt for him. His gaze fell on the frame and he couldn't resist asking her because he feels it's his duty now to look after and take care of Khushi after Dhruv's death.
"You're fine right?" he asked out of concern and Khushi gave him a confused look.
"I am. Why?" she replied with a small smile.
"Nothing" he replied and smiled back at her.
"It's done" she said and handed the shirt to Arnav, keeping the kit back in the cupboard.
"Thank You Bhabhi" he said, looking at his shirt and flashing a wide smile.
"Your welcome" Khushi replied with a small giggle clasping her hands.
"I see, you want to look best of you today to impress Lavanya. Right?" Khushi asked teasingly, wiggling her eyebrows questioningly, her hands still clasped.
"No" Arnav replied furrowing his eyebrows.
"No?" she asked.
"No" Arnav replied giving a small amused smile.
Why would he try to impress Lavanya?
"Yes" Khushi said.
"No Bhabhi. Well, I don't need to impress anyone. They get impressed by me automatically. I don't try hard" he said and winked at her.
Khushi chuckled and cocked her eyebrows.
"Yep. Like, I never tried impressing you but I know you are..." he said and Khushi pursed her lips holding back her laughter.
He chuckled.
"Okay, I gotta go. See you later" he said hurriedly when his phone beeped again with NK's messages.
Khushi nodded and shook her head smilingly as he left. Her gaze fell on Dhruv's Photo frame again and her curved up lips flattened instantly.
She walked towards the side table and enclosed the frame in the drawer. She doesn't want even an ounce of him in her life anymore.
It is in its place now.
