The tears rolled down her cheeks.I hugged
her.Don't cry Riya...you are a strong girl...
your brother won't like this.You remember
na how he used to do anything to bring a
small smile on your face when you cried.
He can't see those tears in your eyes.He is
just resting...resting for sometime.Nothing
has happened to him.He is sleeping,you
know na how much he sleeps when not
working.He is a Zombie,only while working
otherwise he is a Kumbhkaran.
Today also he is just sleeping.
He would wake up soon.But if he sees you
crying,then his heart will break.Don't cry
my dear.Riya hugged me tight.
I remember the day,when Sam scolded Riya
for putting her life in danger during a case.
Though as the ETF Chief,he was proud of her
but as her brother,he was scared...he was
scared of losing her.So the entire fear came
out in the form of anger on Riya.While I
was bandaging her wounds,he came there
and screamed on her...Even I was scared
seeing his anger that day.Riya ran
away from there crying.
Sammy realised what
he did and felt guilty.He looked towards me.
I guess he could sense that I was scared too.
He said a small 'sorry' to me.I replied
with a smile "It's OK".I suggested him
to go and check Riya.He nodded a little
and went to her.I followed him thinking if
he was still angry and would scold
her more.
Sam entered the room and I stood
near the door,seeing them.To my utter surprise
he said a cute "Sorry" holding his ears...
making a puppy face.Riya smiled seeing his face.
Then he took out something from his pocket.
He said to Riya "If you want this,quickly wipe
your tears".Riya immediately wiped her tears.
Sam gave her favourite chocolate.Riya took
it and giggled.He smiled and again said a sorry.
A smile crept on my face too seeing their bond.
I had never thought that Sam could do something
like this,so sweet of him.Sam was never good
in expressing his emotions.He always tried
to hide his feelings but at the
same time he understood people well.I also
didn't know that he always had those
chocolates in his pocket😈,which was
coincidentally mine and Riya's favourite ones.😃
He saw me and gestured me to come inside.
I smiled but then made an angry face.Looking
towards Riya,I said "Riya,tell your brother,
I am angry with him."His smile vanished.
He again said a sorry...huh...I am fed up
with his "Sorry" now."Where are my share
of chocolates?"I said faking anger.
Riya immediately took my side
making an angry face and questioned him
"Yes bhai,where are her chocolates?".
Then I and Riya started laughing.
I came out of the memory lane when
the nurse came in.She said that the
doctor is about to come and we need
to go out of the room.I along with
Riya came out.We sat on the chairs nearby.
I asked Riya...how...how did this happen.
Tears started rolling down her cheeks
again.I hugged her.She replied while sobbing.
"Bhai and Arjun Sir had to go for a meeting
with Commissioner Sir.So Sir called the day off
before leaving.We were packing our stuffs
when I received Sony's message.She asked me
to come quickly for the party.I had completely
forgotten about it.Shree offered me
a lift on his bike but I asked him to go as
I had some work nearby.
He asked me to be careful and not to be
too late for home.I nodded and left to buy
a gift for her birthday.Then I went
to her home.
The party was going on.
I reached there,wished her and gave
her the gift.I looked for other friends but
I think they had left.I was late.I received a
call.I couldn't hear anything.Sony suggested
me to go in her room and talk.I went in.
Someone closed the door and forcefully
brought the handkerchief with
chloroform near my nose.
I became unconscious.After that I don't
remember anything.
I woke up in the morning in Sony's room.
My head was spinning.I asked her what
happened to me.The doctor there
said that I fainted because of tiredness.
But something was wrong,I couldn't
remember at that time.I asked her
if she informed bhai about me.
She made a sad face and told me
that bhai is in hospital."
