Chapter 5

In The Flight.

"Achha hua Shawn n Kartaar, ki tum dono bhi hum dono ke saath aa gaye... Wahaan par toh hum waise bhi time pass hi karte... Yahaan apne apne parents ko bhi help kar sakte hai ab... And mere dad toh hai hii... Ab hum chaar phir saath hi honge," Zain said, when suddenly a thought struck him, "Par Rizwaan, muje ek baat bataa, shawn n Kartaar ko toh hume manana pada tha aane ke liye, tu toh khud se hi chal raha hai. In fact you had come running to me that u want to accompany me... Any specific reason? Dnt tell me its the bff thing. Cuz i won't believe you."

"Okay zain... between us four... Actually, just as you want to meet Aaliya... I wanted to meet Aayat, too. Bas isiliye..." And as soon as the name Aayat left his mouth, Rizwaan drifted off to his own Aayat dream land.

Hearing this, all the other three boys howled like fools and Rizwaan blushed.

Later, in the flight, Zain was just preoccupied by Aaliya's thoughts when the other three chatted. He really had to do something about this lo-umm... immense attraction. He had to come in terms with God-Knows-What feelings he has harboured. Yes, Done, he WILL do something as soon as they reach their destination. No more waiting, no more thinking, only action.

Mumbai.

At the Airport.

"Hey Dad! How are you?" Zain asked, running from there to hug his fathere standing. "Waah mere darling, you have become fitter now!"

"Zain, bas karr... I know your grades are bad and I will surely come up with something for you to compensate for it. So dnt even try."

"Ohh... Okay Dad." Zain said, and quickly kept a finger on his lips like kids.

"You must be tired after such a long journey... Come on guyss, all of you, I'll take you to the nearby cafe, and there we can discuss what you all have done in these years properly... obviously, my son is so much busy to call me everyday and tell me what he does... so i m hoping you all would be able to give this old man some information."

"Dad..." Zain began his ranting, but was again silenced as he saw something-urrr... someone he never expected to see so much early.

Yes, it was the one he had been waiting to see all long... the one who had stolen away his hours and hours of peaceful sleep since the past 4 days... the one for whom he actually wanted to visit Mumbai...

Yes, he saw her... he saw Aaliya... in a pink anarkali... in the book store just opposite to where he was standing... her eyes... her lips... her smile... the few strands of hair that she repeatedly tucked behind her ears kept eavesdropping on her angelic face... how much Zain's hands itched to remove those strands himself... But he couldn't... He had to think of something first... He had to know more about her before approaching her... But how was the question... How will he do this...

Ohh Yes... I forgot to mention this... Just when this was happening, like our Zain busy in ghoorofying Aaliya, he failed to notice that all the voices coming besides him stopped... everyone were initially confused seeing a Zain with an open mouth staring at a specific direction, and when everyone whipped their respective heads that way... well... none could resist Aaliyaji... But after a while, Usmaan definitely shifted his gaze from the unaware Aaliya to his son, with a knowing smirk on his face.

"Toh, ye hai Aaliya..." Usmaan said, making it sound like a statement rather than a question... "Meri hone waali bahu, hai naa Zain?"

"Haaa..." Zain said, but immediately covered up. "Kya dad, bahu-vahu ke chakkar me nahi padna mujhe... Abhi toh filhaal bas usse jaa ke baat karni hai... Mai abhi aaya..."

"Zain, ruk." Rizwaan immediately sprung up for a thought crossed his mind. "Tu aise hi usse jaa ke nahi mil sakta. Kya bolega usko, 'Hi, I love you. Will you be my girlfirend?' Nahi. Ye toh definitely tu usko jaa ke nahi bol sakta. Chal aa, seedha tere ghar chalte hai... Aur wahaan jaakee aaraam se baith kar sochte hai. Mere paas ek solution hai."

Zain pondered over what he just heard from his best friend's mouth, then sighed and declared that they would be going at his house and listen to whatever Rizwaan had to say, but then asked Rizwaan about the consequences if his plan turned out to be a flop. At that time, Zain Abdullah recieved the shok of his life. The shy, conservative Rizwaan who was always asking Zain of ways to woo a girl, had been able to get Aayat's number but not him. Yes, Rizwaan could get Aayat's number but Zain Abdullah could not get Aaliya's. "Woh, actually, maine chhupke se Zubair ke phone se number le liya tha." Rizwaan said, sheepishly. "Ab uss waqt mujhe nahi pata tha ki tujhe bhi Aaliya ka chahiye hoga warna mai uska bhi le leta. But don't worry... hume Aayat se definitely Aaliya ke baare me kuchh pata lag jaayega. Ab ghar chal, aur mai tujhe apna poora plan batata hun."

"Jaldi chal phir... Aur bataa mujhe kya socha hai tune," Zain said, restlessly.

AT ZAIN'S(USMAAN'S) HOUSE

"Haa toh bhai, mai keh rahaa tha...Aayat ka number mere paas hai. Usse tujhe Aaliya ka address mil sakta hai. Aayat ko call karna tu, usse milne jaa... And then tell her that you are Aaliya's distant relative from USA and you need to talk to her and her parents about a family matter. Then, get hold of her number or address, anything you can get, and we will execute our plan further, samjha?"

"Areyy, but Rizwaan... Why would Aayat give Aaliya's number to any such stranger that insists on being Aaliya's relative? What if she asks for a proof?" Kartaar asked.

"Ohh yess... I did not think of it. But defintely Zain can come up with somethin. Right, Zain?"

"Hmm... In fact, I have a plan. Come on, guys. Shawn and Kartaar, you be here. I and Rizwaan will go to meet Aayat. Riz, give me Aayat's number. I will call and tell her I am Zain Abdullah, Aaliya's distant relative, and wnt to talk something very important about her which can't be discussed on phone. So i'll call her to meet up at the nearby cafe. Come on guyss... Lets get ready. I am FINALLY coming Aaliya Ghulaam Haider." Zain announced, determined this time.
