Part 40

Zeenat gave Zoya sponge bath. She then gave her some food.

"How I am so much injured?" asked Zeenat.

"An enemy of u attacked u wid goons. She is Tanveer Beg who was d designer of Meher Creations," replied Zeenat.

She told her a little widout revealing all Tanveer's relation wid Asad.

"I heard her name n read abt her. She became fashion designer at d age of 22 I mean now she will be 23," said Zoya.

"She was jealous of u. U both had some fashion rivalry," said Zeenat.

"How come she know me n how can I have any rivalry wid her?" asked Zoya.

"Cuz u are also a fashion designer. 1^st u opened ur fashion house Amber in New York n then in Bhopal," replied Zeenat.

"Wow, I also became a fashion designer," said Zoya happily wid a smile.

"Yaa, u also became a fashion designer," said Zeenat wid a smile.

"I want to meet dat Tanveer for doing dis to me," said Zoya.

"Don't stress urself, Zoya. Tanveer is in jail," said Zeenat.

"She deserves dat," said Zoya.

"Okay, lets stop talking abt dis. U now eat food n sleep," said Zeenat.

"Fine," said Zoya.

Zoya ate food n slept. Zeenat had hid her cell n I-Pad teln her dat they r lost. Everyone decided to give back her cell n I-Pad to her after 2 weeks.

In d evening, Asad came wid a nurse. Everyone except d kids were in d hall.

"How is Zoya?" asked Asad.

"She is sleeping," replied Zahira.

"I have provided a nurse for Zoya to take care for her. I want to see Zoya," said Asad.

"Dats very nice. A nurse will be more better. U go n see Zoya," said Zahira.

Asad left d hall n entered Zoya's room. He lukd at Zoya sleeping on her bed. He recalls how he came to her room thru her window for d 1^sttime n saw her sleeping. He then recalls how they confessed to each other in dis room n slept 2gthr(not sex) for d 1^st time. He was pained to see her state. He went near her n kissed her forehead.

"I can't see u like dis, Zoya. Plz, get well soon," said Asad wid moist eyes.

He recalls how Tanveer caused Zoya's wardrobe malfunction, spilled coffee twice on her photo twice in d newspaper, drugging him to hurt Zoya to make it luk like they had sex, Tanveer verbally abusing Zoya a lot while trying to enter her hospital room to kill her.

"I will make sure d person who is behind ur dis state does not lives in peace," said Asad.

"I need to go, Zoya. I will come everyday to see u widout u knowing it. But after 2 weeks, u will again be wid me," said Asad touching her right hand lovingly.

Asad left d room. He went in d hall.

"I will come here everyday to see Zoya," said Asad.

"Its ur house also. U come here anytime. We will take proper care of her so dat she recovers fast to be well enough to be told d truth abt her marriage," said Zeenat.

"I don't how she will react," said Asad.

"She will be shocked but she will accept her marriage if her husband is nice," said Zahira.

"But if she finds her husband not a nice man then she will spend no time in making him divorce her," said Zeenat.

Asad gets shocked as he recalls how Zoya started their divorce cuz of his behaviours. Wat if she remembers their initial bad marriage n time before them being married? He can't afford to go thru divorce period again. He has to make sure Zoya does not remembers those days till he is ready to himself tell her everything after they get more close.

"Do come everyday like dis," said Anwar.

"Yaa, I will come," said Asad wid a smile n left d house.

Zoya's family tuk a great care of Zoya cuz of which she recovered a lot in a week. Asad visited her house everyday n see her in her room only wen she wud sleep in d evening making her unaware of him. D nurse also used to take proper care of Zoya.

After a week, Zoya changed her hairstyle of wat she kept 4m her college till a year ago dat is trimming her a little shorter, getn it curled n adding some red streaks while keeping her bangs as it is on d left side of her forehead. Asad was amazed to her like dis.

"Glad dat u liked it," said Zeenat wid a smile.

On reaching home, Asad went to his room n lukd at their wedding photo frame.

"Just one more week, Zoya. After dat, u will be again wid me," said Asad wid a smile.

Just then, Asad gets a call 4m an inspector.

"Hello," said Asad.

"Mr. Khan, I want to talk abt Tanveer," said d inspector.

"Sir, make sure she gets d worse punishment. She tortured my wife brutally n tried to kill her," said Asad.

"Mr. Khan, we don't think Tanveer has anything to do wid attack on Zoya," said d inspector.

"How can u say dat inspector?" asked Asad, "She tried to kill my wife again in d hospital n said a lots of abusive words to her She also said dat she wants Zoya to die."

"We have investigated a lot on dis. Its proved dat Tanveer has nothing to do wid attack on Zoya. She got to know abt Zoya's attempt to murder n her being in hospital 4m watching a TV outside a TV shop. Due to her enmity wid Zoya, she went to kill her as her revenge. But before dat, all d time she was away 4m jail she was only running n hiding 4m us. We asked abt it many places n many people said dat they saw Tanveer running wen we showed them her photo. We even did a lie detecting test on Tanveer as a final resort n it was proved dat Tanveer did not attack Zoya along wid d goons," replied d inspector.

"Okay inspector," said Asad, "Try to catch d real culprits."

"We will try our best, Mr. Khan," said d inspector.

"Okay Sir," said Asad n hung up.

"If not Tanveer then who is behind Zoya's attack?" asks Asad lost in thoughts.

"I need to find dat person," said Asad.

During dinner, Najma was missing Zoya.

"It have been week widout Zoya n she will be back after next week," said Najma.

"In d evening, an inspector called me n said dat Tanveer was not behind attack on Zoya but someone else was," said Asad.

All r shocked. GaZiaRin gets a little scared.

"Then who it may be?" asked Dilshad, "Who may do dat to Zoya?"

"D police r trying to find d culprits. If I get to know d culprits behind attack on Zoya then I will not leave them," replied Asad.

GaZiaRin again gets scared.

"How is Zoya doing?" asked Badi Bi.

"She is showing a lots of improvements. She has changed her hairstyle to her previous hairstyle n hardly wears feminine clothes," replied Asad.

"Dat means Zoya has become like she was till a year ago," said Dilshad.

"Yaa," said Asad.

"Dat means she will take time to talk wid us normally as she did not know us n she talks normally wid only people she knows," said Dilshad.

"Luks like she has some qualities of ur earlier self," said Ayaan.

"May be," said Asad.

2 days later, Asad as usual arrives in d evening n goes to Zoya's room to see her. He caressed her face n kissed her forehead. Just then, Zoya starts moving. Asad panics.

"She sud not find me here," thinks Asad.

Asad quickly went outside d door. Wen he was abt to go in d hall, he heard Zoya's panic n pain filled scream.

"Help help fire. Ammi, get up. Help me," came Zoya's scream.

Asad turned around n lukd in her room. He was abt to go n comfort her but he stopped realizing dat he cud not do it dis time. He quickly rushed to d hall.

"Plz, go n help Zoya. She has again got dat nightmare n she is screaming. I can't even go near her," said Asad worriedly.

Everyone rushes to Zoya's room. Zahira hugged Zoya while Zeenat poured water for her.

"Zoya baby, plz calm down," said Zahira softly caressing her head.

Zeenat gave her water. Zoya drank d water n rubbed her eyes. She calmed down. Asad was lukn worried seeing Zoya having another panic attack.

"Ammi, abbu, aapi, jeeju, u all luk worried," said Zoya.

"U again got dat nightmare," said Zeenat.

"All cuz of dat bas***d n his bitch wife n bitch sister," said Zoya angrily.

"Zoya, don't get angry. U need rest," said Zahira.

"I am not sleepy. I want to watch TV," said Zoya.

"Okay," said Zahira.

AnZee went outside d room.

"I need to go cuz Zoya is cumn out to watch TV," said Asad.

"I understand how u were feeling wen u cud not comfort ur own wife," said Anwar.

"I need to go before she comes out," said Asad.

"Yaa," said Anwar.

Asad left d house.

An evening before d day Zoya was supposed to return to Asad, Zoya goes to market wid her aapi, jeeju, Alisha n Zain. She was wearing a red checkered shirt n blue jeans wid white sneakers. She come outside d house for d 1^st time after she was discharged 4m d hospital. They were at a clothes shop. Zeenat was buying some clothes for herself.

"Aapi, jeeju, I want to see d market a little. I will be back soon," said Zeenat(Wid her amnesia, Zoya is new here so she is interested in lukn around d market).

"Okay Zoya but don't go too far," said Zeenat.

"Sure aapi," said Zoya.

Zoya starts moving around getn fascinated by d market. Asad who came to d market wid Ayaan sees Zoya moving around d market n smiles. He decides to meet her for d 1^st after she regained consciousness n suffered Retrograde Amnesia. He n Ayaan goes before her. Zoya feels sumthn different as she sees Asad. She luks carefully at Asad n feels as if sumthn is drawing her to him. She brushes off those feelings.

"Hey beautiful, why r u walking alone in dis market?" asked Asad wid a smile.

Zoya walks past ignoring him but Asad comes before her n grabs her hand.

"Itni jaldi bhi kya hai, jaan?" asked Asad in a flirty voice, "Thoda mujse baat kar lo."

Zoya got annoyed n pulled out her hand.

"Teri to? How dare u grab my hand?" asked Zoya annoyingly, "Akeli ladki dekhkar kuch bhi karega kya? Tere gharpe maa-behen nahi hai kya? Kya words hai urdu me? Haan yaad aaya. Tuje tehzeeb aur tameez nahi kya ki ladkiyon ko nahi chhedna chaahiye? Agli baar mere saamne aaya na main tuje joote maarungi. Tapori kahin ka."

Zoya had learnt urdu only 10 months ago dat is 2 months after returning 4m Paris. Before dat, she was not good in speaking urdu n she cud not all read or write in urdu. AsYaan were shocked to hear such a long lecture 4m her.

"Madam, aap kitna lecture deti hai," said Asad wid a laugh.

"Leture ki aisi ki taisi. Wats there to laugh? I am not joking. Tuje saari ladkiyon ko apni behen ki nazar se dekhni chaahiye," said Zoya in a no nonsense tone.

Zoya stares at him angrily n then leaves 4m leaving Asad shocked. AsYa's fighting music plays in d bg(d one dat 1^st played after Asad hits Zoya wid his car for d 1^st time). Ayaan comes to him. He luks at him seeing Zoya walking away. Ayaan luks at him shockingly.

"Bhaijaan, she called u tapori," said Ayaan shockingly.

"She does not remembers us, Ayaan. She thought someone was misbehaving wid her n acted back. I saw her n decided to have some fun wid her seeing how she will react. I wanted to see how Zoya was before I met her," said Asad n then wid a smile he says, "Vaise bhi ye Maharani kal humaare hi ghar aayegi tab use pata chalega main kaun hu."

Ayaan also smiles.

"Bhaijaan, she gives so much lecture. She even said dat tuje saari ladkiyon ko apni behen ki nazar se dekhni chaahiye," said Ayaan wid a laugh.

Ayaan stopped laughing wen Asad glared at him.

"More than tapori I felt embarrassed wen she told me dat. I am her husband not brother," said Asad embarrassingly.

Scene shifts to Asad's room. Ayaan, Najma n Dilshad laughs wen AsYaan narrates d market incident wid Zoya.

"Behen ki nazar se. Zoya ne aapko saiyyaan se bhaiyyan bana diya," said Najma wid a laugh.

"Najma, plz don't tease me," pleaded Asad.

"Pehle hi meeting me itna lecture sunne ko mila," said Dilshad wid a laugh.

"She must be surely complaining at home," said Ayaan wid a laugh.

"I sud call aapi n tell her dat it was me who flirted wid Zoya," said Asad.

Scene shifts to FM. All except d kids were in d hall.

"Ammi, dat man was flirting wid me too much," said Zoya.

Zoya had narrated d incident to her parents also. She had already narrated it to her aapi, jeeju, Alisha n Zain after returning to d shop.

"Zoya, u go n rest. I will wake u up at dinner. Stop thinking abt him," said Zahira.

"Okay ammi," said Zoya n went to her room.

Zeenat gets a call 4m Asad.

"Hello," said Zeenat.

"I am sure Zoya must have told abt someone flirting wid her," said Asad.

"How did u know abt dat?" asked Zeenat shockingly.

"Cuz dat was me. She called me a tapori thinking me misbehaving wid her," said Asad narrating everything abt d incident.

"Zoya also told abt d incident. I can't believe she used behen ki nazar dialogue on u," said Zeenat wid a laugh, "U must have got a lot of lecture 4m her."

"Aapi plz, I am already teased by Ayaan, Najma n ammi," said Asad embarrassingly.

"Okay, I will not tease u. I am wondering how she will react 2mrw on seeing u as her husband," said Zeenat wid a laugh.

"Her reaction will be worth to watch," said Asad wid a laugh n hung up.

At night, during dinner everyone decides to tell Zoya abt her marriage.

"Zoya, we need to talk sumthn important wid u," said Zameer.

"Wat abbu?" asked Zoya.

"Zoya, a lot of things has happened in one year. U r married," replied Zameer.

"Wat? Main Miss se Mrs kab ho gayi?" asked Zoya shockingly.

"U have been married 4 months ago to my college friend Dilshad's son Asad Ahmed Khan. U both love each other a lot," replied Zahira.

"How can I fell in love wid someone?" asked Zoya shockingly.

"I know u did not believed in love but Asad has changed u. He made u believe in love. He is a very nice guy," replied Zeenat wid a smile.

"If he is a nice guy then why he n his family did not came to meet me wen I am in dis condition?" asked Zoya.

"Cuz we can't tell u immediately after u regained consciousness dat u r married. We decided to wait for some time till u recover a little. As for them meeting u, how can they meet u wen u don't know them? But they called us everyday to know abt u. Asad came every evening to see u in ur room while u sleep. D nurse who takes care of u was provided by Asad only. U sud return to ur husband n his family 2mrw," replied Zahira.

"My husband used to visit every evening. He even used to come in my room to see me but I did not came to know anything. Now I have to return to him n his family 2mrw," said Zoya.

"They r very nice people, Zoya. They care a lot abt u," said Anwar.

"We will not be far 4m u. We all can talk on phone n on video chat," said Zahira wid a smile.

"I don't know who is my husband. I want to see his photo," said Zoya.

"Zoya, it's a surprise for u. He is familiar for u," said Zeenat wid a smile.

"How can he be familiar to me wen I don't remember him?" asked Zoya shockingly.

"U will know 2mrw," replied Zeenat wid a smile.

They told her abt how she was engaged to Akram n how she ran 4m d wedding cuz she did not felt his friends n relatives right. They tell her how she went to live wid Asad's family so dat she can find abt her mother's murderers. They tell her some more things abt Asad n the members of his family. They did not revealed abt her initial bad marriage n her almost divorce. Asad told them dat he will tell her wen they will get close.

"So much happened in some months," said Zoya.

"U both even went to 2 weeks honeymoon in Paris," said Alisha.

"I even went to honeymoon," said Zoya wid wide eyes.

"Yes Khala, Khalu love u very much. He even loves us n brings chocolates for us many times," said Zain.

"I am even more eager to meet Asad," said Zoya.

"U will like him very much, Zoya," said Zahira wid a smile.

Next morning after breakfast, Zameer, Zahira, Zeenat n Anwar brings Zoya to SM. Zoya was wearing a blue jeans jacket over a blue t-shirt n blue jeans wid white sneakers. All except GaZiaRin r happy seeing her. Zoya is shocked to see Asad there.

"Ye tapori yaha kya kar raha hai?" thinks Zoya annoyingly.

"Now tell me who is my husband?" asked Zoya, "Mera pati kaun hai muje hi nahi pata."

"Zoya, he is ur husband Asad Ahmed Khan," replied Zameer pointing to Asad.

Zoya is shocked to know who her husband is as she recalls dat d man was none other than d man who flirted wid her in d market n grabbed her hand.

"Aap sab ne meri shaadi kisi tapori se kyu karva di hai?" asked Zoya shockingly.

"Talk wid some respect to him. Pati hai vo tera," replied Zahira.

Asad smiles at Zoya while she luks at him annoyingly.

"Aapi, u said dat my husband is familiar to me. He is really familiar to me. Ise to koi tehzeeb aur tameez hi nahi hai. Koi beech market kisi ladki ko chhedkar uska haath pakadta hai kya? Ise tehzeeb aur tameez seekhni chaahiye," said Zoya annoyingly.

"Ammi, iska lecture firse start ho gaya," said Asad lukn at Dilshad.

"Main lecture nahi de rahi hu sach keh rahi hu," said Zoya."

"Vo kisi ladki nahi Asad ki biwi matlab tum thi, Zoya," said Zahira.

"Kal market me Asad se raha nahi gaya so he came to u yesterday n played a prank on u. He really miss you a lot. He did not meant to misbehave wid u," said Zeenat.

"How was my prank, Zoya?" asked Asad wid a smile.

"Stupid," replied Zoya annoyingly, "U made me threaten u wid my shoes, call you a tapori and u even made me said dat behen ki nazar dialogue to u."

"It was not so stupid, Zoya. U did not knew dat I am ur husband," said Asad wid a smile.

"Whatever," said Zoya wid attitude.

"Asad, take Zoya to her n ur room," said Dilshad.

"Wat?" Do I have to share a man wid any man?" asked Zoya shockingly, "Ewww."

"Wat ewww?" asked Zahira, "He is not any man but ur husband. And u both always shared a room like all married couples. He loves you a lot n you also loved him a lot."

"I can't believe I fell in love wid someone, got married n shared a room wid a man I mean my husband," replied Zoya.

"It will weird for u for some time but u will soon start understanding n accepting everything. Asad is a very nice guy. Otherwise, how cud Zoya Farooqui who never wanted to fall in love wud fall for him? He n his family r not like others who hate modern girls n force them to wear Indian clothes. They accepted u however u are," said Zahira wid a smile.

"Chalo muje kam se kam dressing sense par lecture nahi sunna padega. I hate those stupid husbands n their families who force girls to change their dressing sense," said Zoya.

Asad got shocked as he recalled how he was earlier but became relieved knowing dat he is not like dat anymore.

"Zoya, u always wore wat u liked. U wore all types of clothes. U even wore Indian clothes sometimes cuz u thought dat after marrying u sud wear Indian clothes too but mostly u wore western clothes. But u never wore very tight clothes or low neck clothes," said Asad.

"Yaa I hate very tight n low neck clothes. I am very happy dat nobody will bug me on wat to wear n wat not to wear," said Zoya.

"Zoya, let me show our room to u," said Asad wid a smile.

Asad came to her. She lukd at him n recalled yesterday's market incident.

"Okay, show me our room," said Zoya in a normal tone.

"Dikhne me handsome aur shareef lagta hai. Pata nahi iske saath ek hi room me kaise rahungi main?" thinks Zoya in her mind.

Asad takes Zoya to his room. Zoya is shocked to see d whole room in a mess wid many things here n there on d floor, bed n couch.

"Yaha koi bacha rehta hai kya?" asked Zoya.

"Zoya, we r only married for 4 months n we met only 5 months ago. To shaadi se pehle bhi kuch kiya ho jisse baccha ho fir bhi itni jaldi humaara baccha nahi ho sakta hai," replied Asad wid a laugh.

"U fool, besharam kahin ka. I am not talking abt our kid but any kid dat lives in d house," said Zoya annoyingly whacking his head.

"No kids lives here," said Asad.

"Then who messed d room?" asked Zoya.

Zoya started clearing out d mess 4m d couch, bed n some little things dat comes in her way. She keeps those things in d corner of d room n table. Asad is shocked wid her question. He messed it hoping dat Zoya will remember sumthn on how she changed a lot 4m 9-10 months even messing around things. He did not liked her doing even a little work like dis dat also wen she just returned. But he was glad dat she is not OCD like he was earlier.

"I did it," replied Asad.

"Wat?" asked Zoya shockingly, "U r such a grown up man n also married but u still mess around things. U guys r like dis only who mess around things even after growing up."

"Firse lecture. Yaa Allah," thinks Asad.

He wanted to retort to her on how she was like 4m 9-10 moths till before their 1^st marriage but dis was not d right time. Wat else he has to see of dis different Zoya?

"Baaki ka room tu hi saaf kar. Main roj roj saaf nahi karungi," said Zoya sternly.

He cleared d remaining mess.

"U don't need to do dat. There r servants for dat," said Asad, "I messed around things hoping u remember sumthn cuz u used to be messy after u changed urself a little on returning 4m Paris till before we were married cuz u realized dat u changed urself a little too far n realized dat messing around was not a good thing."

"I and messy like dis? U must be kidding, right?" asked Zoya shockingly.

Asad did not know wat to reply.

"Well forgot it. I know dat we r married 4m 4 months. Everyone says dat we loved each other. I never believed in love. But my family says dat u changed me n made me believe in love. I think a lot must have happened in our 4 months of marriage. Still, I need time before we both sleep 2gthr on d bed. Its really awkward for me now as we have just met after my amnesia. I hope u understand dat," said Zoya honestly.

"I understand, Zoya. I know u can't sleep wid me all of a sudden," said Asad wid a smile.

"Asad, since we were in love as all say I am sure dat we must have gotten physically intimate many times. So, I can get pregnant at any time," said Zoya.

Asad was shocked at her saying such bold things.

"We have taken protection everytime," said Asad.

"Dat means we really gotten physical. Wat if we had protection everytime? Condoms n contraceptive r not 100% safe. So, I have chance to get pregnant," said Zoya.

"But I pray dat u don't get pregnant," said Asad.

"So, like me u also don't to plan a family so early," said Zoya.

"Dats one reason. But other reason is dat u r still weak. I don't want u to have problems by getn pregnant till u did not physically recover properly," said Asad.

Zoya was amazed by his concern for her.

"I can't believe u r so much concerned for me. But still u may be missing to be intimate wid me. But like I am feeling awkward to sleep wid u so early after amnesia. I will be awkward for dat also to get intimate all of a sudden. I need time for dat also," said Zoya honestly.

"I understand wat u want to say. U can take as much time as u want. A marriage is not just abt physical relationship but also abt relations of emotions n 2 souls. Also, u r not fit to get intimate so early. Right now, ur health is important," said Asad wid a smile.

Zoya is amazed by his understanding.

Asad is shocked. He remembers his 'Vo Bechaari Nahi Hai' dialogues for Zoya weneva his mother called her bechaara.

A/N: I have changed my mind a little on how to show Zoya. I showed Zoya who has accepted Asad as her husband because he is a nice guy and she feels that they may have spend really nice time in their 4 months of marriage. In PKYEK, when Piya lost her memory her heart used to feel positive and nice about Abhay. Same way, Zoya's heart thinks positive and nice about Asad. Still, she is awkward in some ways as she has amnesia and she don't remembers anything. But she brought intimacy topic and thinks that she can get pregnant at any time. Zoya will take time to love Asad in the way she loved earlier.
