Chapter 70
The sunshine from outside hit his eyes, causing them to open. He held Sanyukta's body closer to him and mumbled, "Let me sleep."
"Hmm?" she muttered, clearly still tired too.
He held her so close that he was nuzzling his face inside the crook of her neck. Her arms circled his body.
"What time is it?" he mumbled.
"Don't know," she responded, and kissed his cheek.
"Want to go somewhere?" he asked.
Her eyes opened immediately, excited. Was Randhir going to take her on a honeymoon?
"Yes!" she responded immediately.
He planted a quick kiss on her neck and then rolled to the side of his bed, checking his watch which was on the table beside his bed. It was 5:30 AM.
"Still early," he murmured. "But let's not waste time. Come on."
He got out of bed and stretched his arms before grabbing his towel and heading into the bathroom.
Sanyukta stood up and started to pick their clothes from last night off the ground. She folded everything neatly and placed the clothes on top of the dresser.
Grabbing her jewelry, she took her stuff to the room where she had kept her suitcases. There was an ensuite bathroom in that room too, so she decided to shower there.
After what felt like an hour due to washing all the hairspray from the previous day off her hair, she walked out of her bathroom, wrapped in a towel.
She dressed in a simple salwar suit and wore her mangalsutra before applying vermillion to her hairline.
"Randhir?" she called out, entering his room again. "Ready?
He was dressed in a white dress shirt and jeans. Randhir walked over to her and kissed her lips softly, catching her by surprise. She nearly melted in his arms, but his hold on her was firm.
Tucking her wet hair behind her ear, he murmured, "I decided that I'm not going to take you."
"Huh?" she asked, sounding confused. "You want to stay here instead?"
"No... I'm going without you to the resort. But don't worry about me, I won't be alone. I'm going to be with my girlfriend," he said with an evil smirk.
Chapter 71
"Girlfriend?" she asked with disbelief. "You have a girlfriend?"
"Mhm darling, many," he told her, stroking her cheek lovingly.
She continued to look at him with disbelief, then with a sly smile she said "Sure, go ahead."
"Go ahead?" he asked, sounding disturbed.
"Yes, go ahead. Why would I stop you?" she asked him.
"Um... okay then. I'll come back in a few days," he told her.
She didn't believe that he had a girlfriend... he was probably doing all of this to get a reaction out of her.
He grabbed his car keys, still looking confused. He walked back over to her.
"Goodbye darling," he said, kissing her on the cheek affectionately.
She hugged him back and smiled into his chest.
"Bye Randhir," she said. "Don't worry, I'll take care of the house while you're gone."
"There's an extra driver if you want to go anywhere," he told her. "There are credit cards in the top left dresser drawers, and the pin is also written in there if you want to buy anything."
What did he think? She had no money? She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, don't worry, you just go and enjoy," she said, holding his hand.
She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek.
"Bye," he said, trying to act cool, like he was indifferent.
"Bye!" she said brightly.
She watched through the window as he walked out of the door and got in the car. As soon as he started to drive away, she got in the spare car.
"Don't worry," she told the driver as she took the keys from him. "I can drive myself."
Then she started to follow her husband's car.
Chapter 72
He seemed to be driving forever, and Sanyukta made sure to follow him with some distance... she couldn't give herself away. After what felt like an hour, he finally pulled into a resort - a lavish looking one and Sanyukta's mouth dropped open.
So he actually decided to go on a honeymoon without her? No worries though... at least there wasn't anyone else here, hopefully.
She watched as he parked the car and she parked hers a good distance away from his before covering her head with a shawl and holding it up to cover her face. She followed him into the resort and watched as he approached the receptionist.
"Room 1312," the receptionist said, handing him the keys.
As Randhir went to the elevator, he stopped in his tracks and turned around. Sanyukta's heart started to race and she hid behind a pillar, pulling the shawl more tightly over her face.
Peeking over the pillar, she noticed that Randhir - HER Randhir, was holding another girl's hand.
"What the --!" she said angrily. He was actually serious about having a girlfriend? How horrible could he be?
She watched as the girl kissed his cheek and her eyes nearly fell out of her sockets.
"That bas***d," she said through gritted teeth as she started to storm towards them.
But they had already gotten in the elevator and the door slammed shut in front of her.
She was fuming.
"I hate him!" she muttered under her breath. "That asshole is going to regret this big time."
Chapter 73
She got in the next elevator and went up to floor 13. What could they have done in the last two minutes? Did he already kiss her? Take off her clothes? Did he already say sweet words to her?
bas***d. bas***d. bas***d. You are a jerk Randhir Singh Shekhawat. I hate you, she thought to herself.
She found room 1312 with a "Do Not Disturb" sign on it.
"Asshole," she muttered under her breath. "You f**king asshole."
She tried to turn the door handle, but it was locked.
Then she banged on the door hard.
"Who is it?" the girl said in a high pitched voice. "Randhir... they're disturbing us."
"Don't worry baby," she heard him say from inside causing her to boil with anger.
She banged even harder on the door.
"Randhirrr they won't leave us alone. Here put on your shirt and go tell them to go away," she whined.
"Put on your shirt?" she muttered to herself with disbelief. His shirt was off? f**king bas***d. "And how dare she try to control him and tell him what to do."
"Okay sweetheart, but first give me a kiss," he said flirtatiously.
f**king bas***d!
She banged on the door so hard now that her knuckles hurt.
"Okay my kiss is on loan," she heard Randhir say. "Don't worry... this'll take a second."
Then within seconds he opened the door, buttoning up his shirt.
"Oh it's you," he said grimly, sounding disappointed.
She started to push him inside the room. With each shove, he fell backwards a few steps.
"How dare you, you f**king bas***d?" she said, annoyed. "You asshole."
"Whoa Sanyukta chill... this was no secret," he told her, rolling his eyes.
She saw the girl in some lingerie. LINGERIE. Some satin outfit and no pants.
"Who the f**k do you think you are?" she asked the girl, sounding pissed off. "Trying to sleep with my husband?"
"Husband?" the girl asked sounding confused. "Randhir you told me you were single."
"Oh did he now?" Sanyukta asked, raising her eyebrows. "This bas***d is a cheat."
"Whoa whoa whoa," he said, holding his hands up. "Sanyukta hold your horses. Get out of here. You weren't invited."
With tearful eyes, she started to beat him. She smacked his arm, his chest, and was about to slap his face, when he grabbed her arm to stop her and glared at her, his eyes red with anger.
"You want to mess with me?" he finally asked, pushing her back that she fell down on the ground.
She stood up immediately and ran to the girl who had already put her clothes back on.
"Get the f**k out," she snarled at the girl.
The girl walked up to Randhir and raised her hand to slap him, but Sanyukta grabbed the girl's hand.
"I said get the f**k out. You dare slap my husband, I'll twist the arm you slapped him with and rip it off," she snapped. "I'm serious. Get out!"
The girl looked at both of them with disbelief.
"You two are meant to be," she said sounding disgusted.
Then she walked out of the room, leaving Sanyukta and Randhir alone to fight for the death.
