One year later
Karthik paced in his room restlessly..tapping his mobile on his palm..
"Phone panraalaa paaru..naan inga loosu maadhiri wait pannitu iruken..ammaiyaar appadiye jolly aa enjoy pannittu irukaanga..no this time I won't give up she has to call me first.."
"Seriously ,she totally forgot me in this one week..yaaru kandupidichaanga indha sadangu,kidangu yellam...one week aa Raji ya paarka allow panna maataengaraanga..indha Raji yennadanaa phone kooda panna maataeguraa..naan inga thavikaradhu yaarukkavadhu puriyudhaa?"He was grumbling to himself..
He waited for few more minutes having lost all his patience..keeping aside all his resolutions he dialed her number..convincing himself saying that.."I am only calling to fight with her.."
After few rings he heard her sweet voice on the other side..
"Karthik.."
It was like a humming of a bird to his yarning ears..as soon as her sweet husky voice touched his eardrum he lost himself..his resolution to fight with her was long forgotten..
"Raji.." he called her back lovingly..
She coughed mildly..
"yenna aachu are u ok?" he asked in concern..
"mmm...i am ok.."she said meekly..
"yenna pannitu iruka?"
"Mehandi vachittu iruken.."
"yennoda name ah poduva dhaane.."
"mmm.." she said shyly..he imagined her blushing face on the other side..a stupid grin appeared to his face..
"Wow super, yenakku udane anga vandhu paarkanum pola irukku..kelambi varavaa?"
"velaiyaadaadha Karthik..veedu full aa relatives irukaanga..adhellam nee naalaikku paarthuko.."
"unga appa othukitaalaum nee othuka matiye rakshashi.." he was sulking..
"sari nee yeppadi iruka?"
"Don't ask me..unna paarkaama yeppadi irupen..dhaadi vaikaadha devadas maadhiri iruken...
Hey azhagi I really miss u di.." he said feeling from his heart..
"mmm..."
"yennadhu mm.. aa ..avlo dhaan unnoda feelings aa?inga oruthan pirivu thuyarathula thavikaraan..nee yenndaa naa vendaa verupaa pesittu iruka.."
"purinjiko Karthik.."
"oh..yaaraavdhu pakkathula irukaangalaa?"
"mmm.."
"okay,nee yedhuvum pesa vendaam naan pesuradha mattum kelu.."
"nee onnum pesa vendaam naan vaikiren..bye.."she said hurriedly.
"Hey..yenna idhu ketta pazhakkam, pesitti irukkum bodhu paadhilaiye cut panrennu solra..?varungaala husband maa show some respect.."
"ippa yenna panna solra?"
"nee yenna color dress pottiruka nu sollu..?
"Violet"
"saree yaa?"
"mm.."
"iru unnai violet color saree la imagine panni paarkiren..semaiyaa irukka Raji..udane yenakku unnai kiss pannanum pola irukkae.."
"iyooo..chumma irudaa..speaker phone on la irukku..inga oru group ae kettutu irukku...yennai romba embarrass pandra nee.."
Karthik got shock of his life and slammed his forehead hard and bit his tongue in embarrassment..
He heard giggles on the other side..
"adadaa..sema romantic scene aa iruke Karthik.." Lakshmi's voice teased him ..
"What a love ..!What a love..!Lakshmi ... love is in air' nu solluvanagale adhu idhu dhaanaa?"
Shruthi's fun filled voice followed by the loud cheer evoked on the other side had him scrunched his eyes shut in shame.
"Karthik mama neenga continue pannunga naanga yedhaiyume kekalai.."an unfamiliar voice addressing him with relationship..mocked at him..
He immediately cut the call and sighed ..
"Ponnugalaa ivanga..ippadi otturaanga..?"
"kadaisila phone la pesa kooda vida maataengaraanga.." he pouted his lips in disappointment..
After Karthik's constant persuasion and perseverance his parents finally showed green signal for their marriage..they are going to get married happily with both parents blessings the next day..wedding has been held in Coimbatore..surprisingly both their mothers were from the same town and also they were class mates in school..wouldn't that enough for them to click instantly?they did..and both fathers also liked each other's nature and they soon got along well with each other..that was a big relief to KR..everything was going on well like a fully greased engine..Karthik has nothing to complaint..except for the restriction for the last one week he was not allowed to see Raji..he was dying to get a glimpse of her..but both of their parents was strictly offending it...separating them with an excuse of some stupid rituals seems meaningless to him..both of them are missing each other like hell.. during this whole one year after their confession in the lake side park it was not a single day exists that he had not seen Raji..now this segregation turning unbearable for him..day by day his longing to seeing Raji and the desire to hold her in his arms had increased many folds..Raji herself denied him from coming to her house because her house was already jam-packed with so many relatives who would blow it as a big issue incase if he visited her house...his patience had touched its culmination level..he desperately wanted to see her now..he made up his mind..it is not the time to sit and grumble ,he has to take some bold step here..no matter whoever stops I am going to see her..this time no stopping him..
He kicked the sleeping Vishnu besides him..
"dai.vishnu..kaalangaathaalaa yennadaa thookam..yezhundhirudaa.."
"dai naan unakku yennadaa paavam panninen.?night muzhukka polambi thalli yennai thoonga vidaama senja...ippa dhaan konjam kann asandhen..adhu kooda unakku porukalaiyaadaa..mudiyala daa..unnoda soga geedhatha kettu kettu..yen kaadhula blood varudhudaa..aalai vidudaa saami.."Vishnu pleaded him ...
"inimel melodrama kedaiyaadhu..only action movie dhaan..kelambu.."
"yengadaa..?'
"pora vazhila solren vaadaa.."Karthik hurried him...
"irudaa..kulichittu varen.."
"adhellam body spray pottukalam vaada.."
"brush aavadhu pannitu varendaa.."
"yennada pudhusaa yennamo daily pallu velakuravan maadhiri scene ah podura vaa daa .."
He literally dragged him out of the room..
Karthik's parents rented a house in Coimbatore for taking care of the wedding arrangements..
Seeing him coming out Karthik's mom..who was in sitting on the couch with some jewel boxes in hand.. called him
"Karthik .."
"yennamaa.. breakfast aa..yenakku venaam.."he cuts her off.
"adhillaidaa..inga paaru Raji kaaga order panna jewels vandhirukku ..vandhu yepapdi irukunnu paaru.."
He sat down besides her on the couch and caressed the diamond necklace her mother had showed..it was specially designed and made for Raji..by her mother ..his heart swelled with joy..seeing his mom not only accepting his love but started liking Raji as her own daughter..he side hugged her mom with immense love..
"romba nalla irukku maa..unga selection yeppavume unique dhaan..u r the best mom in the world..."
"podhum daa nee ice vachadhu...sari.. kaalangaathala iyaa yenga kelambiteenga?"
"adhu vandhu..parlour ku maa..naalaikku naan Raja madhirI irukka vendaama adhaan.?"
"sari anga inga suthaama seekiram veetTuku vandhu serunga..solradhu puriyudhaa?'she said glaring at him straight away..
"puriyudhu maa.."Karthik said avoiding her gaze..
"Vishnu paarthu kootitu poittu vaapaa.."
"Ok maa..nenega kavalai padaadhenga naan paarthukaren." Vishnu assured her.
"Dai unga amma yeppadidaa ippadi maarinaanga?Raji mela ivlo paasamaa?" Vishnu asked while they riding in the car..
"Raji oda pazhaginaa yaarukku dhaan avalai pidikaadhu..?yennoda parents ku love naalum sari hate naalum sari rendu extremes dhaan..middle ae kedaayaadhu ..?"
"Aamaa.. ippa naama nijamaave parlor ku dhaan poramaa?"Vishnu asked skeptically..
Karthik smiled at him evilly...
"unnoda reaction ah paarthaa nee yennamo villangamaana velai panna porennu theriyudhu..appdiye oru oramaa yerakku vidudaa..naan nadandhe chennaiku thirumba poiduren..yennai kooditu poi yengaium kothu vittudaadha daa.."Vishnu said with terror face..
"Cha.. cha.. nee yennoda uyir nanban unnai appailaam maati vida maaten daa.."
"ippadi usupethi vittu udhai vaangi vaikaradhe unakku velaiyaa pochi.."Vishnu complained..
Mean while He stopped the car in front of the house..
"indha veeta yerkanave paartha maadhiri iruke.."Vishnu furrowed his brows in confusion..
As soon as he remembered he shrieked .
"iyoo ...idhu Raji veedaache..inga yedhukku daa vandha..unnai inga kootitu vandhennu therinjaa unga appa yennai left sevullaiye viduvaare.."
"adhukku munnala yennoda maamanaar meesai right sevulla viduvaarae adhai marandhutiyaa?"
"adapaavi neeyellam oru nambanaa daa..?unnai nambi car la yerinen paru yenakku idhuvum venum innamum venum.."
"polambaadha daa..Paarthukalam vaa.."he ushered him inside dragging along by his elbow..
Raji's uncles and thatha's were sitting outside and chatting ..
As karhtik entered all their brows raised up high in shock..
"yennapaa idhu maapilai vandhirukaaru..?yenna vishaymaa irukkum..?"
They have started to whisper among themselves ..but no one dared to question him..Karthik ignored all their shocked state..and smiled at them brightly.. he even addressed some of the familiar faces very politely..not hesitating at all he made his way towards the house with ease.
Soon the news reached the whole house..and Raji s appa came out with tensed face..
"vaanga maapillai..yenna dhideernu..?"
"yenna maama veliyave nikka vachi pesureenga ulla koopida maateengalaa?"
He passed a nervous glance around and smiled uneasily..and called half heartedly..
"ulla vaanga mapillai.."
Soon he was made to sit on the sofa and the small tea poi filled with many sweets and snacks...the house was crowded with so many relatives..he could feel gazes from all around him were piercing his skin..all the women population peeked from all the corners stealing glances at him..most of them are seeing him for the first time so admiring his looks praising him among themselves..some young girls even envied Raji to get such a dashing handsome life partner..
For Raji's parents that was a very awkward moment ..they are dreading for the sharp tongues of their relatives..but immune to all the hustle bustle going around him..he was searching for that one person who had made him to do such buffoonery stunts only to get a glimpse of her face..
Raji's appa cued Deepak to ask Karthik regarding his sudden visit..he nodded and sits beside Karthik..
"Hi Karthik" Deepak greeted him..
"hi how r u?"He was not in good terms with him but can't even hate him either..
"yenna dhideernu vandhu inga kalyaana veetaiye kalakalakka vachiteenga?"
"iyoo appdilaam onnum illai.." Karthik smiled absurdly..mean time tapping his inactive brain to come up with an excuse ..but he couldn't form a single decent excuse..
"oorla irundhu neraiya friends varuvaanga avangalukku stay panna extra rooms arrange pannanum..."
"Iyoo yevlo mokkaiyaana oru reason.. "he taunted himself..
Deepak muffled his laughter.."idhai neenga phone laiye kettirukalaame?ivlo kashta pattu nerla varanumaa?"
"Appuram night buffet la ice cream vanilla flavor vaikalaama?illai chocolate flavor aa?"
" adhellam oru maasathukku munnadiye final panni event managers kitta kuduthaachi..oru vela neenga marandhirupeengalo nu sonnen Athaan..."Shruthi made her entry with a naughty smile..
"Haan.. marandhuten.. amma kovil ku ponaanga Raji ku indha kungumatha kudukka solli kuduthu anupinaanga..Raji ya koopidureengalaa? "he asked with expectant face ..with the small sachet in his hand filled with kumkum..
Shruthi snatched it from him..
"Naan Raji ku vachi vittuduren...kavalaipadaadheenga.."
Karthik moved uncomfortably, he had come here with some hope of seeing Raji . But it seemed impossible now ..
Vishnu nudged him..
"Dai idhukku mela inga irundhaa namakku mariyaadhai illai ..avanga adichi thoratharadhukkulla pesaama kelambu.."
With a defeated face when he was about to leave..
Raji's appa said something in deepak's ear..
And he nodded understandingly..
Raji was feeling restless after hearing that Karthik has come to visit her house..
She was so nervous as she can't go out and see him..she too missed him so much ..but she never thought he would do such a crazy act of visiting her place without any prior notice..
Shruthi came there with a huge grin on her face..
"yennadi sirippu..naan inge yevlo tension aa iruken theiyumaa?Karthik yenga ?poitaanaa..?"she asked with a sad face..
"adheppadi athaan vandha velai mudiyaama povaaru.."
"Yenna solra?"
"yen kooda vaa solren.."
"Yenga ?"
"Unnoda aala paarkanumnaa pesaama yen kooda vaa?'
Raji's heart thudded rapidly.."am I hearing her correctly?is it real or am I hallucinating...?"
She silently followed her with fluttering heart..
As they reached the room aloof from the main house it was actually used as a store room...she saw Karthik standing inside with Deepak..
Seeing him after a week seemed like a decade to both of them..she just wanted to run into his arms at once..but controlled that urge considering the free audience..
"Sari pesunga..sariyaa five minutes dhaan.."shruthi said in a strict voice but on the contrary she winked at Raji..making her to blush..
"Hey,pesiye avanga time ah waste pannadha vaa polaam.."Deepak dragged her along with him leaving the two of them alone..
He slowly marched towards her ,with his each step her heart pounded heavily...
She felt her whole body was shivering ...they have been together before in many situations but this was something special and tantalizing..
His slowly moving towards her increasing her heart beat to the peak..drinking her beauty with his desire filled eyes..
She down casted her eyes seeing the intensity of his gaze ,he gave her goose bumps with the touch of his mere gaze...
"hi.." he said smiling brightly..
She smiled shyly ..
His gaze shifted to her flushed face to her mehandi adorned hands..
He slowly walked past her and stood just behind her shielding her petite frame in to his...his torso touching her back ...her breath chocked and her mouth opened to form an "o"
The heat emanating from his body burning her skin..he placed his chin over her bare shoulder .after kissing it lightly..passing jitter down her spine..
He raised her both hands along with his to view her mehandi..
"It's very beautiful.." his hoarse voice evoking so much of emotional waves inside her...
His face was so close as if his breath fanning her reddened cheek..he kissed the flushed cheek tenderly making it to turn crimson..
"Karthik.."a moan escaped from her..
"Let me find out my name.."
He started to search of the letters of his name..
"K kandupudichiten..,A is here..and R..yenga irukku.."he was so much engaged in his mission of finding his name..but she stepped out of his hold with a jerk..
He looked at her puzzled..
"ippa paarkaadha ..naalaikku night dhaan nee kandu pidikanum.."she said hiding her blush..
"Ok your wish..adhukku yedhukku thalli pora ..pakkathulaiye irundhu sollalaam ila.."
"unnai yaaru ippadi illadha kadhai yellam sollikittu inga vara sonadhu..nee ponadhum inga periya poogambame vedikka pogudhu.."
"shhh Raji..this is our last day as lovers..nee yennoda wife aa aagrathukku munnadi lover aa unnai meet pannanum nu thonichi..ippo indha chance ae miss pannitaa..appuram naama yeppa nenaichaalum indha moment thirumba kedaikkadhu..i want to make it as a memorable one..adhaan yaaru yenna sonnalum paravaallainu kelambi vandhen.."
"Nee solradha paarthaa kalyaanathukku appuram yennai love panna maata pola iruke..."
"that u will see it for urself..."he said with intense gaze..
Raji controlled her blush and said... "time aachi nee kelambu.."
"Adi paavi.. unnai paarkaradhukkaga..yezhu kadal,yezhu malai thaandi vandhiruken.ippadi posukku nu poga solra?"
"Adhaan paarthutala ...ini poga vendiyadhu dhaane?"
"tempo laam vachi kadathirukom yedhaavdhu paarthu pannuga madam.."
"yenna pannanum.."she asked with a chuckle..
"Oru kiss kudu poiduren.."
"No .."
"Why?"
"yennoda mehandi laam kalainjidum..naan maaten.."
"did I ask u to kiss with ur hands.?."he asked raising his brows in surprise..
"podaa naalaikku kudukaren.."
"naalaikellam un kita permission yaaru keka poraa?inniyoda adhellam over.."
"mudiyaadhu po.."
"Sari inga vaa.."he called her softly..
"yedhukku..?"she asked with suspicion ...
"ada onnum panna maaten dhairiyamaa vaa.."
She took reluctant steps and stood in front of him..
He encircled his arm around her shoulder and brought her closer to him..
"konja neram ippadiye iru podhum.."
"Karthik .."she leaned on his shoulder..
"mm.."
"yennoda mehandi nalla sevakkanum Karthik.."
"kandipaa sevakkum adhula unakku yedhukku doubtu.."
"marudhaani yevlo sevandhirukko..andha alavukku vara pora husband namma mela anbaa irupaaraam..shruthi kellam nalla sevandhirundhahdu theriyumaa?yenakku avala vida adhigamaa sevakala..illainaa nee avlo dhaan.."she said in threatening voice..
"iyoo idhu yenna vambaa pochi..munnadi ye therinjirundhaa marudhaanila konjam kesari color ah mix panni irupene.."he said with startled face..
She nudged him in his stomach playfully..
"Don't worry..naan unnai yevlo love panrennu nee un kaila paaarpa.."he said with utmost love confined in his eyes..that stunned her ,her heart swelled with pride..feeling blessed to own this man who is loving her more than anything in this world...
He looked down at her and she raised her gaze up to him.. she felt his gaze penetrates her heart and touching her soul right through her eyes... love was oozing out of their eyes.. ...as if spell bounded he bent down to capture those soft supple lips...when their lips touched ,fire ignited in them..he slowly kissed her lower lips taking it between his lips..encircled her small waist with his strong arm tucking her close to him and penetrating his other hand into her thick mass of hair gripping it tightly to keep in her place...he didn't touched her hand cautiously not messing up her mehandi..
Then he kissed her upper lip chewing and biting mildly..She was so lost in that kiss and raised her hand unknowingly and touched his cheek ,smearing the mehandi lightly on his face..
He squirmed with the touch of the wetness .. but didn't broke the kiss rather he kissed her more fervently pressing her whole body against his tall frame ...letting her to know his need of her..
She gasped with the feel of his tensed muscles..
Taking it as an entry pass..he dodged in to explore her sweetness again..their tongues met and danced to the tune of their passion...her toes curled and her knees turned like a jelly it seemed she would collapse in any moment..sensing her dizzy state he gripped her firmly sliding her weight fully on him, by hugging her even closer to him even if that possible..
"ooopppss..sorry.."an embarrassed voice of shruthi hits their eardrums like spear had the kiss broken abruptly..
Raji tuned to the wall biting her lips all ashamed..
Karthik ran his hand through his thick air..and sighed ..getting back his senses fully..he slowly raised his eyes to the door..shruthi was standing at the threshold of the room showing her back to them covering her face with both hands.. "Thirumbalaama?"
"mm mm.."he mumbled in annoyance..
"unga five minutes over ..adhai solla dhaan vandhen..aanalum ippadi yedhiri paarkalai sorry.."
Feeling really awkward to be standing there..he looked towards Raji one last time and dashed out of the room as if escaping from shruthi's teasing gaze..
Raji glanced at his retreating back at the corner of her eyes.
"Oh my..oh my...what a romantic kiss..i am so envious Raji.."
"shruthi adi vaanga pora nee..ippadi dhaan thorandha veetla yedho maadhiri varradha?"
"iyoo unnoda example ae thappu..shiva poojaila karadi nu dhaane sollanum.."
"Podi.."Raji's face flushed fully ..
"Aanaalum kadhava lock pannanum nu koodava unga rendu perukkum thonalai,marriage ku appuramaavadhu door ah lock pannidunga.."
"Hey unnai.."she raised her hand to hit her..
"Hey Raji yenna idhu?mehandi kalainji poi irukku.."
Raji looked at her hand and thought for a second..suddenly it strikes her..
"omg..Karthik kannathula ottiten.."she said in an agitated voice..
"Iyoo..appadiyevaa poraaru..kadavule..pochi..appaa paarthaa avlo dhaan.."
"shruthi seekiram poi solludi.,.."she chased her..
"Naan yepapdi solradhu.. nee call panni sollu.."
"Iyoo yennoda phone room la irukku.."Raji said with almost crying face..
Karthik came outside ..feeling contended finally his wish got fulfilled.
"naan varen maamaa..."while he was departing .
Meeesai uncle looked at him weirdly..
Karthik was puzzled by his intense look on his face..
"Was something wrong with my face..?"He was confused..
"maapillai...indhaanga.."he gave him his hand towel..
"yedhukku maamaa?"he asked suspiciously..
Kannatha thodaichikonga.."he said looking away from him..
"Andha alavukka asadu vazhiyudhu?"he thought to himself and touched his cheeks instantly..
He felt something sticky on his cheek..he rubbed it vigorously..closing his eyes in sheer embarrassment
" varen maamaa.." He literally ran out from there to his car..
He checked his cheek through the rearview mirror , a tinge of red already marked its presence on his fair skin...he smiled shaking his head..
KR wedding..
"Keeti melam..ketti melam.." Iyar's loud voice followed by the "mangala vaathiyam..."
Karthik tied the knot of sacred thali in Raji's neck.. with all the showering of "achadhai" along with the blessings from their beloved ones they stepped into the new life of togetherness..
She thanked god for giving him as her life partner..and he thanked his stars for having brought such a lovely woman to his life..
While they were doing the ritual of "agni valam"
Ends of their clothes were tied together and their hands entangled..first Raji takes the step forward Karthik followed her..he gazed at the queen of his heart ..
"Thanks for coming into my life Raji..u made my life beautiful..showed me the world of love..I wish I would walk along with u till eternity...don't worry ..from now on I will take care of everything..u just lean on my shoulder ,hold my hand and enjoy our journey of love .."
After three rounds Karthik took the lead and Raji followed him. when their eyes met they smiled contently showering their love on each other through their eyes..the look was different from the other days..it was full of warmth and intimate ,joy and contentment of owning each other in the real sense..
Raji looked at the man leading her way, admiringly. her gaze shifted to their entwined hands...the warmth of his hand gives her a secured feeling ...the dark red hue of her mehandi had been praised as well as envied by many ...she looked back at the man who made her to feel like a queen of the world with her dazed eyes...her heart filled with pride...she felt like falling for him all over again..
Raji's monologue..
"Once in a while right in the mid of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.".I remember the line I had read long ago...
How ture..! For me our love is like a fairy tale..
I was a damsel in distress..
U r my prince charming...
In the darkness of my life u came as the sun shine..
When I started seeing the world in ur eyes
An ordinary life turned out extraordinary..
It was you,who brought the long forgotten smile back to my lips..

"aamma sonnen..aanaa unnai panrennu yeppa sonnen?"
"iyoo lakshmi marubadiyum modhalla irundhaa..!!!!!MTB season 2 kooda kedaiyaadhaam..nee yennai ippadi deal la vittudaadha lakshmi ...indha epilogue laye serndhaa dhaan undu..."
"fraudu..."lakshmi blushed hard..
"Lakshmi..."Vishnu called with widened eyes full of surprise ...

I am very glad to witness their journey of love being a co-passenger..
Though their journey would continue for many years..
My destination has arrived and I am quitting my journey here...
