06. Pillaging of Survivals

The old and the very young die first; even those who were still in womb.

Anjali's breathing becomes little easier when she hears it was nature redefining the rules for its inhabitants. Arnav buys every possible flower and vegetable seeds available. Anjali stocks water.

Payal ponders if life is really a gift. There are fewer people now. Many are at home, grieving. At the store, Khushi scoops packets of all types of pulses.

The world had changed in a span of two weeks. They will realize days later that it was only the first wave. Worst was yet to come.

07. Beginning of end

It's three weeks since the death of old and new. The news anchor says it was an airborne virus. And that it's all over now. No new deaths were reported because there were no old or a child left. She hasn't seen anyone under ten or over fifty on the street.

She finds nature's way of revolting truly repulsive; no old to guide and no young to hope for. It was Mother Nature saying a giant "f**k you" to humanity.

People worry. They aren't fully panicking.

Payal calls Khushi paranoid. A neighbor aunty says the grief has turned her insane.
