Sanyukta felt like she would die on the spot... in fact, she wished that she would die on the spot, as she watched Randhir's piercing gaze stab her. She didn't know what she saw... she knew she saw shock, but was that a happy look, or an upset one? What was he thinking? Why was he just staring? Why couldn't he speak?
Her heart was beating so fast, it was a miracle that she hadn't died of an attack yet, but the way he was looking at her was enough to make her force an attack if she was able to. Oh how she wished she could just push a button and all of this would end right now.
Randhir looked at her, not able to process what was going on, when finally, he realized that Sanu had been Sanyukta all along. It was not a coincidence that she sounded like Sanyukta, it was not a coincidence that she slept with him while he was blindfolded, it was not a coincidence that her favourite chocolate was Ferrero Rocher.
Nothing was a coincidence. Ever.
He had been a fool... why couldn't he put two and two together? But he couldn't even blame himself, because he had never expected this. This seemed so far-fetched, that he wouldn't have ever been able to guess it, no matter how obvious it seemed. Who would ever expect this? In fact, who would ever do this?
He watched Sanyukta's fearful face, her wide eyes, looking at him, as if she was gauging his reaction, making sure that he wouldn't freak out... or maybe even hoping he would.
Parth and Vidhushi stared at the duo, both of them feeling their own sense of fear... they were dead meat, because they had organized this and hid the truth from him... in essence, they had cheated him.
Oh, Randhir was going to be so pissed off.
Sanyukta continued to stare at Randhir, unable to remove her gaze, even though her eyes were already getting watery. She didn't know what was going to happen... it had been a minute since he had stared at her with the same expression.
Then finally, Randhir leaned closer to her. She squeezed her eyes shut, expecting him to grab her throat with both of his hands and strangle her to death. But instead, she felt his arms around her, pulling her close in a warm hug.
"I am so happy," he muttered into her ear.
