Premiere Night (Part 1)
The start of the first season of Big Brother India has everyone in frenzy; backstage the crew was preparing the 80 cameras which were going to capture every moment that would take place in the house and monitoring the scene outside which was quickly filing up with eager audience waiting to see how the night would unfold. The inside of the house was at the moment the quietest place in the area as it awaited the 16 housemates which would occupy it for the next 100 days. The show was ready to begin in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
The sparklers on the stage blasted signaling for the beginning of the show, entering the stage was the host for the show, in black jeans, a crisp white shirt with a black blazer, his smile reaching his eyes as he welcomed the audience.
"Welcome to the first ever season of Big Brother India!" he shouted, to which the audience replied with a huge round of applause.
"I am your host for the show, the one and only Armaan Malik!" The audience shouted and screamed in response.
"This season promises lots of drama, action and maybe even some romance" he explained to which the audience hoots with applauds.
"Moving swiftly on lets introduce our first eight contestants who will be entering the house...let's hear it for - Jey Khurana, Sanaya Kapoor, Asad Khan, Rashi Modhi, Zain Quraishi, Kruttika Virani, Rey Singhania and Akshat Nirman!" he shouted each contestants name as they came onto the stage.
The contestants stood in two rows, Asad, Jey, Sanaya and Rashi behind as Zain, Kruttika, Rey and Akshat stood in front of them. They all look really excited with a hint of nervousness.
"Hey guys, I have to say...all of you are looking amazing," he smiled. "Okay I wish you all the best, and may the best game player win..." he said cheekily. Some of the contestants smiled and others looked a little nervous.
"Okay the first four contestants to enter are Kruttika, Asad, Akshat and Rashi...go on then..." he laughed
The four contestants picked up their bags and headed to the door that was on the right hand side of the stage.
On entering the house the houseguests arrived straight into the living room.
"Ahh I can't believe I'm here!" Kruttika shrieked while the other contestants look around.
"I'm going to find a bed before the others enter," Akshat called as he made his way through the hall to find the rooms. Asad followed him and Kruttika shouted from the other side of the living room, "The rooms are here!" Rashi claimed her bed and the boys did a U-turn and ran into the bedroom.
The boys placed their bags on the other beds in the room before they all turned to each other to introduce themselves.
Back on stage Armaan turned to the remaining four contestants
"You may now enter the house," he gestured to them; they all picked their bags up and headed for the same door, coming out in the living room. The others were there to greet Sanaya, Rey, Jey and Zain.
"Hey guys," Rey greets Akshat and the others.
"Where are the rooms?" Sanaya shrieks.
"Come on I'll show you guys, but hurry the others might be coming!" Kruttika exclaims.
The four contestants followed Kruttika and Rashi who showed them the rooms. They realized there was also another room through the door of the room. They then introduced themselves to the remainder of the houseguests.
Back on stage Armaan turned back to the audience with a cheeky grin before carrying on.
"Well everything looks great in there, for now...!" he hints. "Moving on...let's call on our next eight contestants...welcome...Tara Sharma, Tej Chaturvedi, Purvi Kirloskar, Maya Patel, Ayaan Dhawan, Sia Rai, Sami Shergill and Lavanya Kashyap."
"Hey guys welcome to the show...you are looking amazing, I wish you all the best for the show," Armaan states.
The contestants looked excited with smiling faces all around.
"Just letting you know there are already eight contestants in the house, and you will be the last contestants to enter the house..." Armaan informs them. "Moving on the first four contestants to enter the house are Sami, Maya, Sia and Tej, you may enter now," Armaan announces.
The four contestants picked their bags up and headed for the door on the right hand side of the stage. They entered and were shocked as they met everyone else in the house.
Asad offered to show them the bedrooms. There was only one bed left and the others had to share.
"Oh no...where am I going to sleep?" sighed Sia.
"You can sleep with me..." Kruttika offered.
Maya took the last bed, while Sami shared with Akshat and Tej bunked with Rey.
Back to the stage Armaan turned to the remaining four contestants. "The four of you may now enter the house, Armaan informed them.
They grab their bags and headed for the door.
"All the houseguests are finally in the house, let's see what's going on in the house before we give them a little surprise," Armaan announced to the audience.
The last four contestants which were Tara, Ayaan, Purvi and Lavanya were finding beds and bunking with other contestants. Everyone was greeting each other and hanging out in groups.
"Okay everyone let's gather in the living room," Akshat called out.
Everyone came into living room and sat down on the couches and the two chairs between the two couches.
"I think we should introduce ourselves, I'll start my name is Akshat...I'm 22 years old" he said then he sat down and one by one each contestant introduced themselves.
When they had finished the screen came on and Armaan face appeared.
"Hello everyone, congratulations on being the first ever group of houseguests to enter the Big Brother India house" he said. The houseguests cheered.
"To keep you all on your feet I have an announcement to make," the houseguests glanced at each other with a little scared expression on their faces. "In a few moments we will have the first HOH competition for the season."
"Ahhh", "Already", they all started at once. The houseguests were a little shock that they have to do a task already.
"So get geared up and I will meet you in the activity area" he stated.
Back on stage Armaan turns back to audience; "Well everything going good for the time being but let's see what will happens, as the first HOH of the show is chosen." He informs them, "Let's head to the activity area to see who becomes the first HOH of the season."
The activity area looked like a giant Popsicle Factory; they were 16 colored popsicles upside down in a circle. There was a big mouth with a tongue sticking out at one end of the area and crash mats on the floor.
The houseguests entered the activity area and were amazed at what they saw.
"Houseguests welcome to Big Brother Popsicle Factory, in this task each houseguest will climb onto a popsicles and try to stay on the Popsicle as long as they can. You may now go to your Popsicle." Armaan's voice boomed
The houseguests each took stand by their Popsicle and tried to hold on to it, Rashi, Sia and Tara had a little trouble holding on but they were ready.
"Okay houseguests hold on tightly," Armaan voice boomed.
The popsicles lifted off the ground and it started moving in a circle. Some of the houseguests laughed and some screamed.
After 10 minutes Sia lifted her hand to brush her hair back but looses balance and falls off her Popsicle.
BEEP -Sia is out of the competition.
Two minutes after that Tara slipped and fell off which resulted in another BEEP- Tara has been eliminated from the competition.
Half an hour later Sanaya and Tej dropped resulting in a double beep and four contestants were out of the competition.
"Houseguests keep the competition going...I will meet you on Friday for the first eliminations of the season, all the best..."
The houseguests replied to Armaan and Asha fell resulting in another BEEP.
Back to the stage Armaan smiled at the audience, "Well I think things have just started heating up, tune in on Monday to find out who becomes the first HOH of the season and who are the first two houseguests to be nominated. . . Good bye"
Tune in on Monday to find out who will become the first HOH of the season, and who will be put up on the chopping block for the nomination...
