Part Twelve
Rey took taani to carnival, Taani gave him toothy grin.
"I so wanted to come here, thanks for bringing me here: Taani said in excitement and hugged him. Rey was pleasantly surprise by her reaction.
"Lets Go" Rey said pulling her along with him, they went on their first ride, Roller coaster. Taani was laughing, enjoying herself as roller coaster goes down with speed, Rey was just adoring her. It was first time he was seeing her so happy after their marriage. Smiling without any hesitation.
That made him realized what he had snatched away from her, he had snatched away her real self. After marriage she was living like a bird in cage when he wanted her to be free but his rejection had done its damage.
Once ride come to an halt taani pulled rey toward the new ride, rey shook his head at her childishness but found himself liking this childishness of hers.
After trying half of the ride and playing different kinds of games and eating candy floss, they both were tired, taani forgot all her pain and suffering for a moment, enjoying herself with her husband. For the first time she felt they were actually a couple.
"No I'm hungry, Lets go & eat something" Taani told him. Rey nodded and they went in small Italian restaurant as taani wanted to eat italian. They were sitting on there table when waitress come there to take their order.
"Your order Sir?" She asked him completely ignoring taani's presence. The waitress gave him smile, fluttered eye lashes but ignoring her rey turned to taani and asked her what she will like to eat, they gave her their order, the waitress left from there but not before sending a seductive look at his direction.
"Looks like you got a lover for yourself" Taani commented looking at the retreating back of waitress.
"Jealous?" Rey smirked at her irritated face.
"You wish! Go and bang her, I don't care" Taani said in annoyed tone.
"Really taani, It wont effect you seeing me close to someone else, touch her in a intimate way like i touch you?" rey spat harshly, taani look down feeling guilty for her sudden outburst.
"Say na taani! Will you able see me with someone that is not you?" Rey asked her, even though he know the answer but he wanted to hear it from her. He wanted her to claim him hers in front of world. Taani shivered in disgust, thinking him with someone else.
"No.." Taani started to say but cut off by the waitress that came there with their food.
"Sir your order" The waitress said with seductive smile. With tray of food she slide down the chit that had her number written on.
"Stop hitting on my husband..He is off the market" Taani snapped at her, Rey smirked as he got the reaction he wanted. The waitress scoff and left from there.
"Feisty as ever! trust me that feisty avatar of yours is huge turned on" rey spoke in naughty tone, her cheeks heat up. she avoided looking at him and concentrate on her food. Rey let out a chuckle before he start eating his food. They eat in comfortable silence.
After rey paid the bill they left for their hotel room, as taani was tired, hotel was at 10 minutes walking distance. They were walking and to her surprise rey was holding her hand. She was happy with this progress in their relation but didnt raised her hopes high. Now she had left everything in hands of her fate.
She will not herself on him nor ask him reason why he can not love her. She was sure one day he will trust her enough to share his thoughts or past with her and she will wait for that day, till then she will enjoy these small small moment with him.
Taani come out of her reverie when they entered in elevator. Rey turn to face her and smile, a smile that take her breath away. It was same smile that made her fall for him in her college days.
"So you enjoyed today?" Rey asked her.
"Yes! Thanks for taking me there" Taani said in childish tone, In happiness she stand on her toes and kissed him on lips, it was small kiss. She pulled away before he could even react. Rey smiled at her red as cherry face. He was happy seeing her smiling and feeling content remembering the whole day he had spent with her. It was one of most special day of his life.
After so many years he found himself enjoying life, he was feeling like a carefree kid again not the rude arrogant business man who is always under the pressure of never ending responsibilities.
With happiness visible on their faces they both went in their room and slept with smile on their faces.
