Part 23RK was driving in his car. He was angry, he was confused. He had a lot of questions and he had even more accusations. He remembered his parent's voices. He remembered his own condition that night. Then his days in Berlin. Whenever Bittuji would come smiling relieved about getting the new order from 'K&M'. His sleepless nights and his firm decision to destroy Malik.
Madhu and Bittuji were behind in the other car. They were both equally confused and scared. RK's driving seemed rash from this car. They had a hard time keeping up with him.
"Bittuji.. what is he going to do? What's made him so angry suddenly?!" Madhu almost screamed baffled.
"Bhabhiji I am equally clueless.. I had thought chief would think over and try to find out reasons.. but he is so furious.. where is he going?" He asked back anxiously.
"That's my house.." she said lost suddenly thinking of the way they were heading.
"Bappa.. please keep everything under control.. Dont let Rishu or Malik hurt each other.." she prayed now afraid of another possibility.
RK reached the Malik Mansion. His car stopped with a screeching sound and he quickly headed towards the mansion. The gaurd moved aside knowing him as the son in law of the house. RK got in the hall.
"Malik!!" He screamed.
Malik who had already gotten worried hearing the car screeching sound at his door, came out hurriedly hearing the scream.
"Rishabh.. Is everything fine?" He asked worriedly out of reflex.
RK glared for a few seconds. He crinched his teeth in anger and rushed towards Malik and held him by tge collar.
Madhu and Bittuji too reached the mansion. They almost ran out of the car into the house.
"What the hell is your problem?! What do you want from me!!" RK screamed right on his face while Malik looked at him baffled.
thats when Madhu and Bittuji entered the hal too.
"Rishu!" Madhu screamed panicked.
"What do you mean?" Malik asked confused looking t him.
"What the hell you think of yourself.. what have I or my family did you wrong?!" He screamed as his eyes started moistening because of the intense emotions of all.kimds building up in him.
Padmini came out worriedly hearing all the noises. She stood near the sofa rooted to the ground seeing RK so furiously holding Malik. She was almost frozen seeing the scene.
"Rishu! Leave him.." Madhu screamed as she came closer to them.
"For what mistake on earth are you punishing me? You took away everything from me! Everything! My happiness.. my life.. my parents.. my family.. I was left bloody all alone.. and one thing! One thing that I believed I achieved on my own.. this name, my company.. and you bloody snatched that away too?" He said angrily while glaring at him in the eyes.
"What have I done now?" malik asked confused.
"I will kill you.. You bloody deserve nothing more! You killed my parents! You need to ask now.." RK said tightening his grip on his neck now.
"Rishu.. Rishu..!" Madhu screamed trying to pull his hand off Malik's neck.
"Rishu please... dont do this.." she screamed pleadingly but RK just glared right at Malik's face. Bittuji came running though found himself helpless.
Padmini looked at them panicking as if not able to understand what she really needed to do. Her breath catching up as she looked on baffled and scared.
"Rishu please.." Suddenly RK heard a soft defeated and pleading voice of Madhu. His grip loosened as all his attention was diverted below. His feet. There he saw Madhu holding his feet looking at him with teary pleading eyes. "Please let him Rishu.. Dont kill him.."
RK looked at her with painful eyes. It hurt him to see her so helplessly at his feet and more than that he felt betrayed by her. She was begging for Malik's life. Didn't she remember what he did.
Madhu as if sensing the accusation in his gaze said softly. "He is my father.." she looked at him with pain in her own eyes.
RK took in a deep breath as he realized what she meant. Without looking at Malik he left his neck and let him free.
"I hate you Madhu..." he said in a soft defeated tone while looking at her with hurt.
Madhu closed her eyes in pain and lowered her gaze. "I am sorry." She murmured..
RK bent a little and held her arm pulling her up. He couldn't bare to see her that way begging at his feet.
"Why did you do this? Why didnt you let me have peace at least somewhere?" RK said looking at Malik again now. Though in a much calmer tone which was filled with accusation and complain.
"I didnt do anything.." Malik managed to say just that much.
"You did. what had my father wronged you.. he always let you have an upper hand in business. You both were friends since college. We idolized you both but what you did? You killed them so brutally. Didn't you once feel an inhibition in doing that.?" RK said looking at him wd a piercing gaze.
Malik looked away not able to hold om to his gaze.
"And then now.. when I thought I achieved everything in my life on my own. I believed I had that capability to win the world without anybody's backing. Just this one achievement in my life made me feel confident and some peace for the namesake.. And today.. Today, you proved even thatt wrong. Snatched away the last reason of my happiness.." he said getting closer.
"What do yoy mean?" Malik asked still confused.
"You helped me under the name K&M corporation?! Why? Who asked you! Who came up to you?" He screamed at him.
Malik looked down not wanting to answer hm.
"I am asking you something.. Answer me!" He screamed again
"I did what Mohan would have done for his son. And this company had his shares too so it was his right" Malik said in a dry robotic tone
"You bloody killed them! You backstabbed them and now you are telling me you took care of what his rights were after his death?" He asked back angrily.
"I did that out of guilt.." Malik said looking at him straight in the eyes.
RK looked at him baffled. Somehow even his inner self wanted to hear that he was innocent.
"Guilt? Why did you kill them?" RK asked in a shaky voice. for the first time he couldn't hold back his emotions hearing Malik. He was deeply shaken and somewhere a possibility that Malik was innocent was knockinh his heart too.
Malik was shocked hearing the shakiness of his voice. He looked at him and felt moved. The RK he had seen ready to destroy him and always stood like a rock infromt of him was standing here with moistened eyes and hurt voice.
"I cant tell you that Rishabh.. It just happened in a fit of rage.." he said looking away but RK now understood that he was lying because for the first time he said that without meeting him.in the eye.
"Why are you lookibg away.? Look at me and say that.." RK said facing him again with a much more stronger voice now.
"I did that in a fit of rage.." Malik said as he gathered courage to look at him.
"How did you kill them? Whom did you shoot first?" RK asked with a piercing gaze.
Padmini looked at Malik panicking while Madhu was baffled hearing the kind of question RK asked suddenly.
"Ohh i remember you shot dad first.. then.. mom.. right? Did they shout? Did they scream at you?"
Malik looked at him baffled as the images of that night started coming back to him.
"I heard dad call you a traitor.. he even trued to push you right? You played with their emotions.. You killed them when Mom tried to intervene you killed her too.. were you able to wash your hands off the blood? You bloody murderer.." RK shouted right at his face in the end.
"Why dont you tell him the truth..!?" Padmini shouted suddenly.
RK looked at her in an instant and then he heard a thud. He looked back at where Malik was and saw him fallen on his knees.
"I didnt kill them!" He shouted on top of his voice as tears started flowing through his eyes. After 7 years for tthe first time he told that to anyone except for the mirror. He used to tell himself secretly that he didnt kill them. But today finally the burden lightened off his chest.

Hey.. so as most of you had guessed already.. Malik is not he murderer.. [:p]
I was disappointed to be so predictable.. 😆 But then its fine..
I hope I brought out RK's and Malik's situations properly. Some dialogues nay have gotten repeated but Sorry for that.. couldnt do wihout them. It seemed robotic without those repetitions.. 😆
And thanks for so much love and that you all take time for writing comments.. its really encouraging.. i am so lucky to have such responsive readers.. love you all..
