"Decorating the office for Valentines Day."
"Why?"
"King Kong told me to. Besides, the Valentines Day party is this weekend. King Kong said he'll let us have our own mini party down here after everyone else leaves."
"Oh...want some chips?!"
"Have you ever thought of going at least one minute without eating?!"
"Oh shut up!"
Just then, Riddhi showed up along with Aditya in the Jungle Jail. "Wow, Nikki! Nice decorating." Riddhi told Nikkita.
"I knew it would look cute!" Nikkita exclaimed.
"I don't understand why the boss would want to throw a Valentines Day party for the school." Aditya said.
"Why do you say that?" Riddhi asked.
"Because there's really nothing loveable about this school to begin with." Nikkita replied.
"Who cares?! We get free food!" Disha exclaimed as she munched on some chips from the bag.
"Isn't this your third bag of chips today?" Aditya asked Disha.
"Yeah. So?!" Disha asked.
"Some things never change," Aditya rolled his eyes. "We should get going to class."
After fifteen minutes, Riddhi and Disha were in trigonometry class. And in class, Riddhi had to sit next to Luv, while Disha was sitting in the back of them, eating a McChicken sandwich from McDonalds. Riddhi turned to Disha and said, "When did you go to McDonalds?!"
"I sneaked out during lunch. No one noticed." Disha replied as she took a bite from her McChicken sandwich.
"Can I have some?!" Luv asked.
"Get your own, monkey face!" Disha shouted.
"Fine then! Stuff your face with chicken, fatty!" Luv retorted.
"Call me fatty one more time and I'll stuff your face with my notebook!" Disha shouted.
"Okay! That's enough," Riddhi said, cooling down the argument. "And Monkey Boy, shut up and turn around."
"You do the same, Arrowhead!" Luv retorted.
Riddhi rolled her eyes as she turned back in her seat while Ms. Braganza, the teacher, entered the classroom. "Hello students! Please take out your homework and we will go over the problems from the paper." Ms. Braganza told the class. As the students started rummaging through their backs to get papers out, Ms. Braganza looked at Disha and called, "Disha!"
"Yes?"
"What is that you're eating?"
"A McChicken sandwich. You want some?"
"Of course not! I'm on a diet! No eating in my classroom! Throw it away!"
"What?! How can I waste food?!"
"Throw it away now!"
"No! You can't tear me away from my food!"
"Fine then. Riddhi, please throw away the sandwich for Disha."
Riddhi nodded her head as she then took the sandwich away from Disha with great struggle as Disha kept trying to take it back. As Riddhi walked towards the trash bin, Disha grabbed hold of Riddhi's leg and shouted, "Don't do it, Ridz! Don't throw away my McChicken!" Riddhi tried to move with Disha's grip on her leg while the class began to laugh.
"Disha, let go of her leg!" Ms. Braganza ordered.
"I WANT MY MCCHICKEN!" Disha screamed. "Come on, Ridz! Just give me back the sandwich!"
Riddhi rolled her eyes as she finally threw the sandwich into the trash bin. Disha let go of Riddhi's leg, shocked as she looked at the sandwich that was now sitting among the garbage in the bin. "NOOO!" Disha cried. "WHY?!"
"Its just a sandwich," said Riddhi. "I'll buy you one after school."
"You better!" Disha exclaimed as she then went back to her seat, while Riddhi sat down as well.
"Now that that horrible version of soap opera is over, who can tell us what the sine of pi over two is?" Ms. Braganza asked the class. Riddhi looked to the side, seeing Luv was writing in a yellow notebook of his. His arms were covering the pages, so Riddhi didn't see what he was wiritng.
"Luv Malhotra!" Ms. Braganza called out.
"Huh?!" Luv said as he looked up at Ms. Braganza at the sound of his name.
"Why don't you answer the question for us?" Ms. Braganza asked.
"Okay," Luv smiled. "What was it again?!"
"What is the sine of pi over two?!" Ms. Braganza asked Luv in an irritated tone.
"Uh..." Luv tried to think.
"You know what?!" Ms. Braganza said. "Why don't you show us on the board?"
"Uh...okay." Luv said.
Luv got up from his desk and headed towards the chalkboard, grabbing a piece of chalk. The class, Riddhi in particular, watched as Luv began to write on the chalkboard. Once Luv finished writing, the class laughed while Riddhi and Ms. Braganza looked at the board in utter surprise.
"What is this?!" Ms. Braganza asked Luv in anger.
"You asked me the sign of pi over two! There it is!" Luv exclaimed as he pointed to the board where he drew a picture of pie over the number two. "Only problem is I didn't know whether to draw a cherry pie, apple pie, or-"
"You moron!" Ms. Braganza shouted. "You think this is funny! I asked you for the sine of pi over two! Do you have any idea what that should look like?!"
"What pie are you talking about?!" Luv asked.
Ms. Braganza angrily took the piece of chalk from Luv and drew on the chalkboard the symbol for pi. "Oh that! Let me add something!" Luv exclaimed as he took another piece of chalk and then drew on what Ms. Braganza had drawn. "There!" Luv exclaimed as he created a face out of the pi symbol on the board. "Now that looks like Captain Hook!"
The class bursted into laughter while Riddhi rolled her eyes. That Monkey Boy! He'll never grow up! Riddhi thought to herself. Ms. Braganza dropped the piece of chalk in anger and shouted, "You sit down now before I send you to the dean's office!" Ms. Braganza shouted. Luv grinned as he made his way back to his seat, highfiving some students along the way.
At the end of the day, Luv was walking with Riddhi out of their chemistry classroom while Disha waited outside in the hall. "Why do I have to tag along to McDonalds?!" Luv asked.
"Because since I'm your probation officer, I can tell you what to do! And I'm not sitting alone with Disha over there!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"Can we hurry up and go?!" Disha asked as she ate from a box of donuts.
"Why do you want a McChicken if you already have donuts?!" Luv asked Disha.
"Because I can if I want to! Do you have a problem with that?!" Disha asked Luv angrily.
"Oh my gosh! I finally found you!" a girl's voice screamed in the hall. The sound of the voice startled Luv. "It can't be who I think it is!" Luv cried.
"Who?" Riddhi asked.
"Oh Luv! Its me! Cookie!" a girl exclaimed as she barged in among the crowd of people.
"NOOO! ANYONE BUT HER!" Luv screamed in terror as he then hid behind Riddhi.
"What's wrong with you?!" Riddhi asked Luv as the girl, named Cookie, came towards Riddhi, Luv, and Disha.
Cookie then grabbed Luv from behind Riddhi and gave him a really tight bear hug. "I'm so happy to see you again, Luvvy Pie!" Cookie exclaimed as she squeezed Luv tightly in her arms.
"You might never see me again if you deflate me by now." Luv said as he felt the pressure of Cookie's tight hug.
"Luvvy Pie?!" Riddhi giggled along with Disha.
"Oh its so much fun when she comes here for Luv!" Disha laughed.
"Who is she?" Riddhi asked Disha.
"This is Cookie Kapoor. She's known Luv since grade school and has had a major crush on him since then," Disha explained. "When high school started, Cookie had to move back to Punjab. But every now and then, she comes back here every few months just to see Luv."
"Its been so long, Luvvy Pie! But now we're back together!" Cookie exclaimed as she finally let go of Luv. "And its perfect! Because Valentines Day is almost here!"
"No! No! You got it all wrong!" Luv shouted.
"What do you mean, Luvvy Pie?!" Cookie asked. "Don't you love me?! Your Cookie?!"
"Heck no!" Luv replied.
"But why?!" Cookie asked. "There has to be a reason!"
"Because I...because...," Luv mumbled. "Because...um...I...I have a girlfriend!"
There was dead silence in the hall as it was just Riddhi, Luv, Disha, and Cookie in the hall. While Cookie looked all sappy, Riddhi and Disha shared surprised faces. He must be bluffing! Riddhi thought to himself.
Cookie wiped her tears and sniffled, "Who is she?!"
"Huh?!" Luv said.
"Who's the girl?!" Cookie asked.
"The girl...um...," Luv stuttered. He looked around, and then turned, looking at Riddhi.
"Its her! Riddhi!" Luv exclaimed, pulling Riddhi closer to him, by her shoulder. Riddhi gave a shocked face, that was shared as a same reaction by Disha and Cookie. Cookie began to wimper, seeing Luv holding Riddhi so close. She then ran down the hall in tears. Riddhi then pushed Luv's arm away and shouted, "What's wrong with you?!"
"What do you mean?!" Luv asked.
"Why did you tell her that I'm your girlfriend, you moron?!" Riddhi shouted.
"Well it was the only thing I could think of!" Luv replied.
"Why didn't you take Disha's name then?!" Riddhi asked.
"Because having Disha for a girlfriend is even worse!" Luv shouted.
"Oh shut up!" Disha told Luv. "I should go find Cookie. I'll leave you two here to sort things out...like a couple should."
"WE ARE NOT A COUPLE!" Riddhi and Luv yelled as Disha walked down the hall with a smirk on her face.
"I can't believe you brought me into this!"
"Listen, I have no interest in you being my girlfriend! Just go with it!"
"What do you mean go with it?!"
"Whenever Cookie visits, she stays for at least a week and always goes after me wherever I go! If you pretend to be my girlfriend, it'll make her leave me alone!"
"And why should I agree to this?!"
"Because if you don't, my life will be tormented by burnt cookies! She always makes me burnt cookies even though I hate burnt cookies! Save me from the burnt cookies and the cookie monster herself!"
"No way! I'm not doing it!"
Riddhi was just about to leave, until Luv got down and grabbed hold of her by her leg. "Please do it, Riddhi!" Luv cried as he held onto Riddhi's leg.
"Let go of my leg!"
"Please, Riddhi! Do this for me!"
"Let go!"
"Only if you promise you'll do it!"
"Okay!"
Then, Luv let go of Riddhi's leg and Riddhi caught her balance again. "So you'll do it?" Luv asked.
"Fine!" Riddhi agreed, rolling her eyes. "But only until Cookie leaves!"
"Done!" Luv smirked.
"HA!" Nikkita laughed as she ate a slice of pizza from a pizza box. Down in the Jungle Jail after school, Riddhi, Aditya, and Nikkita were finishing up work with Aditya attending to his last client for the day.
"Make sure you wash the windows of the science lab also, Pandu." Aditya told Pandu.
"That's too much, man!" Pandu complained.
"I have other ways of service then. You can take janitor duty if you want." said Aditya.
"Fine! I'll do it!" Pandu agreed.
"Good. Now get to it." Aditya ordered.
"Can I at least have some pizza?" Pandu asked.
"GO!" Aditya ordered.
Pandu rolled his eyes as he left the Jungle Jail up the main staircase. "I can't believe you're laughing, Nikki!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"I just can't believe it! That Cookie is back...and Luv has proclaimed you as his girlfriend!" Nikkita chuckled. "Now Cookie has competition."
"That moron. He really didn't need to drag you into this." Aditya said.
"Thank you!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"Oh look who's so concerned!" Nikkita rolled her eyes.
"Do you have a problem, Nikki?!" Aditya asked.
"Hey, shouldn't Disha be here to finish decorating?" Riddhi asked.
"Well I just texted her that there's pizza. So she should be here in...,"Aditya said, with Disha entering through the secret door immediately. "Zero seconds."
"Where's the pizza?!" Disha asked.
Nikkita held up the box for Disha to take a slice out of the remaining six slices. But instead, Disha took the entire box. Nikkita raised her arms and said, "What the heck, Dish?!"
"Tough luck!" Disha exclaimed as she sat on the floor, criss-crossed, and started eating the pizza.
"So what am I going to do about this?!" Riddhi asked.
"Just go with it. Its only for a week." Nikkita said.
"Besides, you just have to act." Aditya added.
"I guess. I just can't wait till Valentines Day is over!" said Riddhi.
"I know! Then all the chocolates come on sale at the supermarket!" Disha exclaimed as she continued to eat her pizza.
"You know I won't be surprised if your true love for Valentines Day ends up being food!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"None of us would." Nikkita rolled her eyes.
The next day, during psychology class, Cookie had arrived as a visitor as the teacher, Mr. Kapoor, happened to be her uncle. As she sat and watched, she kept her eye on Luv and Riddhi who were sitting on opposite sides of the room with Luv sitting next to Nikkita, and Riddhi sitting next to Aditya. "She's watching us." Riddhi whispered to Aditya.
"Cookie has always been like that. Whenever she gets jealous of a girl who has Luv's attention, she keeps a good eye on them." Aditya whispered back.
"All right class," Mr. Kapoor began. "Today, I want to start what's called the trust exercise. Could I have two volunteers?"
"I'll go sir!" Luv volunteered, getting up out of his seat, eyeing Riddhi on the other side.
"Any other volunteers?" Mr. Kapoor asked the class.
"Uncle, why don't I go?!" Cookie asked Mr. Kapoor. looking at Luv.
"Actually, why don't I volunteer someone?!" Luv asked Mr. Kapoor.
"Sure, Luv." Mr. Kapoor said.
"I volunteer Riddhi!" Luv said.
Riddhi's eyes beamed at the sound of her name. "Okay. Riddhi, please come to the front with Luv." Mr. Kapoor ordered. Riddhi smiled shyly as she got up out of her seat, walking with Luv to the front. "What are you doing?" Riddhi asked Luv in a whispering tone.
"Driving away Cookie's suspicions." Luv whispered.
"All right! Now the trust exercise works like this," Mr. Kapoor began. "Riddhi will fall back. And is she trusts Luv, she will go ahead with the fall and trust that Luv will catch her. You two demonstrate!"
Riddhi stood in front of Luv, anxious inside. She closed her eyes as she then fell back, gulping. But to her surprise, Luv did catch her. Riddhi opened her eyes in surprise, still being held by Luv while a jealous Cookie scowled at them. "As you can see," Mr. Kapoor began to explain. "Riddhi's trust in Luv was proven right as Luv did catch her. And that's what trust does in a relationship. It forms a covalent bond between two people."
How ironic?! I had no trust in him to begin with! Riddhi thought to herself. But...he did catch me surprisingly.
During lunch, Riddhi, Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha were sitting at the round table, sharing a box of pizza. However, Disha was eating most of the pizza. "Can you at least share this time?" Nikkita asked Disha.
"I am sharing!" Disha exclaimed.
"You're eating most of it!" Riddhi said.
"Just let her eat." Aditya rolled his eyes.
Then, Luv barged in at the table, sitting right next to Riddhi. "Why is the monkey sitting here?!" Nikkita asked.
"Oh shut up, Nikki!" Luv retorted.
"Why are you sitting here?!" Riddhi asked Luv. "Shouldn't you be sitting with your monkey group!"
"One, I don't have a monkey group!" Luv talked back. "And two, Cookie will be here any minute, so act natural!"
"There's nothing natural about me acting like your girlfriend!" Riddhi retorted.
"Just like there's nothing natural about this peanut butter!" Disha exclaimed, eating a slice of bread with peanut butter spreaded all over it. "Natural peanuts my foot!"
Just then, Cookie was approaching the table. Luv immediately put his arm around Riddhi's shoulder, drawing her close to him so Cookie would see, while Riddhi sat displeased with the situation. "Sweety, you need to eat more! Have some pizza!" Luv exclaimed as he took a slice of pizza and then fed it to Riddhi. Cookie watched the two, unhappy as she then sat down next to Nikkita. Riddhi rolled her eyes as she took a bite from the pizza.
"So...I guess you two really are a couple." said Cookie.
"That's right!" Luv grinned.
"Luvvy Pie, where did I go wrong?!" Cookie asked, whimpering.
"Right from when you started calling me Luvvy Pie!" Luv exclaimed.
"That's what couples do! If you two are really a thing, then what do you call each other?!" Cookie asked.
"Huh?!" Luv and Riddhi asked in unison.
"What do you call each other?!" Cookie asked.
"Oh this is a good one." Nikkita chuckled.
"Do you guys know?!" Cookie asked Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha.
"Well...Luv calls Riddhi...Arrowhead. And Riddhi calls him...Monkey Boy." Aditya replied.
Luv put his hand to his head in embarrassment while Riddhi sulked in her chair. "Arrowhead and Monkey Boy?! Those don't sound like any cute pet names I've heard of!" Cookie exclaimed.
"Actually, there love story is quite deep." Nikkita grinned.
"She wouldn't dare." Riddhi said quietly.
"How?" Cookie asked Nikkita.
"They used to hate each other," Nikkita fabricated. "Hence, they would annoy each other with such nicknames. But now the same nicknames are symbols of their love!"
"Oh dear Lord." Aditya rolled his eyes.
"I don't buy it! Now I'm starting to doubt you two!" Cookie told Luv and Riddhi.
"But its true! Riddhi and I are very much in love!" Luv exclaimed as he grabbed hold of Riddhi's hand, holding it up to show Cookie. "Right, sweety?!"
"You know what?! I'll believe you only this Saturday!" Cookie exclaimed.
"Saturday?!" Luv and Riddhi asked in unison.
"Valentines Day! Which means the same day as the Valentines Day dance at this school! If you two are really what you say you are, then you'll come to the dance!" Cookie exclaimed. "Then we'll see...if what you say is true!"
With that, Cookie left from the table, leaving the canteen. Luv and Riddhi both sighed. "And I didn't even want to come to that stupid dance!" Luv whined.
"Then don't. Who cares?!" Riddhi shouted.
"Ofcourse we're going! Cookie has to believe we're really a couple and only then she'll leave me alone for the rest of my life! Got it?!" Luv shouted back.
"You know, nothing's wrong with having a cookie in your life." Nikkita chuckled.
"Even if that cookie is as hard as a rock." Aditya added.
"You guys think you're so smart, don't ya?!" Luv exclaimed.
"Speaking of which, can I get some cookies now?!" Disha asked as she stuffed her mouth with another slice of pizza.
Once the week rolled ahead, Valentines Day had finally came around the corner. And on this day, the Valentines Day dance would be taking place at Dhingra High School. Aditya and Nikkita were busy decorating the gymnasium where the dance was being held. Once it was evening, everything was set. Even Dean Rahul Kapur was in the spirit of the holiday, dressed up in a flashy pink tuxedo, red shirt, and a necktie with hearts and gorillas printed on it. "Is the getup neccessary?" Nikkita asked the dean.
"Oh Nikki! The King Kong of this school needs a getup for the holiday!" Dean Rahul Kapur exclaimed. "And what better way then with the good old monkey suit!"
"Or in your case, the gorilla suit." Aditya corrected.
"Very true! I'm gonna make that a thing!" Dean Rahul Kapur exclaimed. "You two carry on with the party!"
As the dean dashed off, Aditya and Nikkita left to get ready for the dance. When they came back, Aditya was dressed in a red dress shirt, black neck tie, black dress pants, and black dress shoes, while Nikkita wore a pink and white plaid dress that had a ribbon on the left strap, and a pair of red flats. "You know...we're pretty casual for this party." Nikkita said.
"Do you really expect the other kids in this school to be dressed professionaly for this?" Aditya asked.
"Very true. I wonder how things are gonna be like when Riddhi and Luv show up together for the dance." Nikkita said.
"Where's the food?!" a voice shouted from behind.
Aditya and Nikkita turned to see Disha had arrived among the other guests who had came in the gymnasium. She was dressed up in a long sleeved, long black velvet dress with a red sash around it and a chain hanging on the sash, and she wore black high top boots as well. "Wow, Disha." Nikkita said as she looked at Disha's outfit.
"Pretty dark for Valentines Day." said Aditya.
"Hey! I have red on also! Now where's the food?!" Disha asked.
"Can you please not devour the whole table?" Nikkita asked.
"Do we really care, Nikki?" Aditya asked Nikkita. "Not even a third of the school is planning to show up anyway."
"Fine then!" Nikkita rolled her eyes. "Knock yourself out, Dish!"
Disha then rushed over to the snack table to get food. While Aditya and Nikkita were hanging around the entrance to the gymnasium, Luv had arrived. He was dressed up in a traditional tuxedo with a yellow bowtie. "Wow, Luv," Nikkita said. "You almost look cute."
"Oh shut up!" Luv retorted.
"What made you decide to dress up?! Even I didn't go with the monket suit." said Aditya.
"Come on, Adi! It makes sense to put the monkey in the monkey suit!" Nikkita grinned.
"You think you have a smart mouth, don't ya?!" Luv said in a irritated tone. "Where's Arrowhead?!"
"If you're referring to Ridz, she hasn't come yet." Nikkita replied.
"She better get here! Otherwise Cookie will follow me!" Luv exclaimed.
"Its not like we care." Aditya rolled his eyes.
"Whatever! I'm getting food!" Luv pouted as he then headed towards the snack table.
"That boy is an idiot." Nikkita said.
"There never was a doubt about that." Aditya added.
At the snack table, Luv looked at Disha who was consuming all the Cadbury chocolate bars in the bowl. "Would you quit stuffing your mouth with chocolate?!" Luv asked Disha in a frustrated tone. "Some of us actually want to eat!"
"Do I look like I care, monkey face?!" Disha shouted as she took a bite from a chocolate bar.
"Obviously not! You're still stuffing your stuffed face, fatty!" Luv talked back.
Disha dropped the candy on the table, as she heard the word 'fatty' from Luv's mouth. She then angrily grabbed Luv by the collar of his shirt and shouted, "CALL ME FAT AGAIN AND I'LL SEND YOU TO A HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW!"
"Dish! Fish!" Aditya barged in in front of Disha, popping some Swedish Fish into Disha's mouth. Disha dashed off, calming down with her favorite candy in her mouth. "You actually saved me from the psycho eater!" Luv exclaimed.
"That's only because the people we already have here would run off seeing Disha pumble you to the ground."
"Hey! She wouldn't pumble me! I can fight!"
"Oh I'm sure you can beat your pillow up very well!"
"Would you shut up?!"
As Aditya and Luv were bickering, Riddhi had entered the gymnasium with Nikkita looking at her in surprise. Aditya and Luv even stopped bickering and took a look at Riddhi as well. Riddhi was decked up in a sparkly red saree with matching jewelry, and even red colored heels as well. Aditya and Luv couldn't help but stare at her, while Luv was even more entranced by how ravishing she was looking. "Wow, Ridz! Look at you!" Nikkita exclaimed. "Looking solid!"
"You too, Nikki."
"But I wonder? Why the saree?"
"I didn't have anything else to wear for a dance. So I went with this."
"At least Cookie will be even more convinced now."
"Speaking of which, is Luv here?"
"He's right there at the snack table."
Riddhi nodded as she then made her way towards Luv, who was still looking at her, with his face blushing. "Have you seen Cookie yet?" Riddhi asked Luv.
"Why are you wearing a saree?"
"What?!"
"You're all decked up."
"Yeah. Its a dance. Even you're decked up."
"I only did that because it was the only nice thing in my closet! That doesn't mean you have to come looking all beautiful!"
"Wait...what?!"
"Huh?"
"Did you just say I look beautiful?"
"No! I didn't!"
"You did."
"You can't prove it!"
"You're such a moron."
"I am not!"
As Luv and Riddhi continued arguing, Aditya shook his head and walked towards Nikkita. "What's the matter?" Nikkita asked Aditya.
"Nothing. Just didn't want to get involved in their lovers spat."
"Sometimes I wonder about those two."
"Why?"
"Come on, Adi! This is probably the most interaction between any probation officer and a client of the Jungle Jail."
While Luv and Riddhi were quarrelling, Cookie showed up with Mr. Kapoor to the gymnasium. Luv and Riddhi stopped arguing and turned to see Cookie, who was dressed in a poofy pink ball gown. "Luvvy Pie!" Cookie exclaimed as she saw Luv.
"Oh kill me already." Luv said.
"So I see you two together!" Cookie exclaimed as she came up to Luv and Riddhi.
"Yes! After all...we are a couple!" Luv exclaimed as he grabbed hold of Riddhi's hand, pulling her towards him.
"Yeah." Riddhi tried to play along.
"I see! Well then...let's see how the rest of the night goes!" Cookie exclaimed as she then walked off to the dance floor where people started dancing.
"What did that mean?" Riddhi asked.
"Who cares?! As long as she leaves me alone, I'm all good!" Luv exclaimed.
After a few moments, Cookie then took a microphone and began speaking, "Hello fellow students of Dhingra High School! I'm Cookie, special guest at this school! Happy Valentines Day everyone!" While students made their shouting cheers, Luv, Riddhi, Aditya, Nikkita, and Disha were puzzled.
"Why is she using the microphone?" Nikkita asked.
"She isn't even the dean!" Aditya added.
"Does anyone have sweet and sour sauce?!" Disha asked as she ate some chicken nuggets from a bowl she had.
"What is she doing?!" Riddhi asked Luv.
"Relax, Arrowhead! She's just doing annoucements!" Luv said.
"I decided to spice up the evening by having two students at random come on the dance floor and perform a duet dance!" Cookie announced. "And so...can I have Luv...and Riddhi on the floor please?!"
Just then, a spotlight flashed right on Luv and Riddhi while other students were making noises for them to come on the floor. "And if you two don't want to dance, I'm always here for you, Luvvy Pie!" Cookie exclaimed. Students began to chuckle at the sound of the nickname Cookie had for Luv."No way am I dancing." Riddhi said. Just then, Luv grabbed hold of Riddhi's hand, bringing her to the dance floor. "Let go! I'm not dancing!" Riddhi exclaimed.
"Shut up! You have to!"
"Why?! You can dance with Cookie!"
"No way! If I dance with her, my life is over and she'll know for sure then that we're not actually a couple! So we got to dance just to make her believe us."
"And I have to expect that you can dance, Monkey Boy?!"
"Don't you make fun of my dancing skills! I can turn into Michael Jackson on the dance floor!"
"More like Michael Jackson's pet monkey!"
"Would you quit it with the monkey jokes?!"
"Oh this will be interesting." Nikkita grinned.
"Seriously, where can I get some sweet and sour sauce?!" Disha asked as she continued to eat her chicken nuggets.
"Dish! Fish!" Aditya said, popping Swedish Fish into Disha's mouth.
"Why'd you do that?" Nikkita asked Aditya.
"To shut her up." Aditya replied.
After much quiet bickering, Luv and Riddhi came to the center of the dance floor where Cookie was attentively watching. "Now just dance along." Luv pleaded.
"If you really think we can dance well enough to make her believe we're a couple, you're a total idiot," Riddhi said. "No way am I trusting you-"
Before Riddhi could finish, Luv had grabbed her hand and pulled her right near him, holding her by her waist. "What are you doing?!" Riddhi asked.
"Just shut up and dance." said Luv. At that moment, the DJ began playing salsa music to which Luv commenced dancing with Riddhi. Riddhi followed Luv's swift movements, as he swayed her along the dance floor to her surprise with everyone else watching in awe. "What the heck is with you?! This isn't the salsa olympics!" Riddhi exclaimed as she continued dancing with Luv. "You don't need to impress Cookie! Then what are you trying to prove?!"
At that moment, Luv then pulled Riddhi inward, and dipped her to her shock, with her face turning red. "I'm trying to prove...what I'm made of." Luv whispered to Riddhi. As Luv pulled Riddhi up, the two continued to dance along the music, effortlessley matching to every beat thanks to Luv. And by the end of the song, the two finished off with a hand in hand position. Everyone in the room clapped, even the dean, who was watching the dance like a guy at a Superbowl game.
"Wow." said Aditya.
"Now that was something!" Nikkita smirked.
Cookie approached both Luv and Riddhi to which Luv panicked. "Um...Cookie," Riddhi said. "I-"
"Its okay, Riddhi! I understand now! You two really are a couple! That dance was something to see!" Cookie exclaimed. "And even thought I'm madly in love, I'll still let you have my Luvvy Pie!"
"Can we quit it with the Luvvy Pie, please?!" Luv shouted.
"Take care of him, Riddhi! I'll be going!" Cookie exclaimed and then left the gymnasium.
"Thank God that's over." Luv said as he then left Riddhi and headed out of the gymnasium.
Riddhi stood alone, lost in thoughts. Was that guy on the dance floor really the same idiot monkey boy that I despise?! Riddhi asked herself.
Riddhi headed out of the gymnasium, looking for Luv. As she walked, she found Luv sitting alone outside on the bench. "Can I sit?" Riddhi asked Luv as she then sat down next to Luv on the bench.
"What are you doing here?! You don't have to act anymore! Cookie left."
"I know."
"Then why are you still here, Arrowhead?!"
"You can drop the macho attitude, all right!"
"What are you talking about?!"
"Just hear me out."
"What?!"
"Back there, on the dance floor, what was that?"
"Listen, I only went overboard so Cookie would completely believe the whole act. That's all!"
"Okay then. But still...I noticed one thing."
"What?"
"The boy that I saw there...was different."
"What...what do you mean?!"
"Majority of the time, you're this idiotic monkey boy of a troublemaker who I am sadly assigned as probation officer for. But that one moment, I saw you as someone else. Someone who actually wanted to show that they're more than what is to be seen."
Luv looked at Riddhi with surprise in his face.
"Frankly, I have to tell you. You dance really well. Much to my surprise," Riddhi continued. "I guess...as your probation officer, there's more I have to learn about you."
As Luv continued to look at Riddhi, he then turned away in silence, with the both of them looking upon the moonlit sky.
