Humsafars | Pictures From Sets
We bring you pictures from sets of Humsafars. Of course, they are like postcards of romance; the look, the touch and the feel. We were present on the set for the shoot of the scene where Saahir Azim Choudhary (Harshad Chopda) and Aarzoo Nausheen Khan (Shivya Pathania) come close in throes of passion, giving expression to their love.
The pictures talk about what love and its manifestation is all about. The tug of emotions as Saahir pulls the end of the dupatta, reeling into a vortex the epitome of what love is for him; Aarzoo.
Uncontained, his eyes beguile and bewitch like a sorcerer deeper into himself, into the pool that is filled with passion. And she walks towards him in slow motion, drawn to him with the visible link and invisible fire that burns her.
As they unravel bit by bit, the dupatta, the earrings and then the last vestige of human chastity. They come together to be one, body, mind and soul. They lay upon the bed of proverbial roses though they might encounter the thorns inherent, the bliss of love will tide them through it all.
The embrace, the touch, the feel of being in love; of being Humsafar, is what makes their love unique. To stand together in face of adversities. To take blame for each other, to shed tears and laugh together, the promise of being one half of a whole. The romance is in not being together in happy times but sticking together through thick and thin.
Of course, to substantiate this, we can think of a few lines from the song Desert Rose by Sting.
...It has been a long time
And I am looking for myself and my loved one...
...I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain...I dream of love as time runs through my hand...
...I dream of fire...Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire
...This desert rose... Each of her veils, a secret promise...
...This desert flower...
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this...
