Chapter 3DelhiNext day, Ketaki again barges in Chintu's cabin like a tsunami and settles herself on the couch. As Chintu was discussing about a project to his staff.
She plays songs in her i-pod and waits till he gets free. Chintu finishes and the staff members leave. He also stands from his seat and settles beside her on the couch. She also turns off her i-pod.
Chintu- Toh..tsunami ki sawari aaj phir yahan kaise?Ketaki- Pairo se..no actually car se bhi..and giggles.
Chintu- Achaji mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha.Ketaki- Tabhi toh bataya na maine and again giggles.
Chintu- Hahaha..so funny..ab mazak chhod aur ye bata ki kya kaam hai?Ketaki- Mujhe shopping jaana hai.Chintu- Ohh..toh phone par bata deti..yahan kyu aayi?Ketaki- Aapke saath jaana hai..Chintu's eyes popped out-
Kyaaa??? Mere saath..mai nahi aa sakta meri bahot important meeting hai aaj..saying this he returns back to his chair and starts reading a file like it is the most important thing in the world.
Ketaki (frowns & goes to him)-
Bhai jhuth mat bolo ..mujhe pata hai aapki koi meeting nahi hai ab..maine Divya di (she is Chintu's PA)
se aapka aajka schedule puchh liya hai.Chintu curses Divya in his mind and decides to confront her later.
Chintu (stammers)-
Nahi beta..mai jhuth nahi bol raha..ye meeting abhi thodi der pehle hi fix hui hai..haan..Divya ko bhi nahi pata iss baare mein.Ketaki- Bas bhai..bahot hua aapka natak..ab chup-chap chalo aap warna mai aapse double gussa ho jaungi..yaad hai na mai aapse abhi bhi naraz hoon.Chintu- Par mai wahan kya karunga? Shopping toh tujhe karni hai na toh apni friends ke saath chali ja.Ketaki (points her finger at him)-
Aap chal rahe ho ya nahi?Chintu (with a baby face)-
Acha theek hai chalta hoon.[/B{
Ketaki- Good..and thinks in her mind.."i know bhai ki aapko mere saath shopping karna pasand nahi hai isliye mujhe naraz karne ki yahi aapki saza hai..shopping ke bahane mai aapko saza bhi de dungi aur aapko pata bhi nahi chalega..haha devil me."
Chintu wraps up his work and both goes for shopping.
Shopping Mall
They reach the shopping mall and then goes to girls section to shop for Ketaki.
Chintu- Haan..toh kya shop karna hai tujhe?
Ketaki- Abhi kuch socha nahi hai maine..agar kuch acha laga toh le lungi.
Chintu- Kya? Ye kya hai Ketu..tu kya mujhe time-pass karne ke liye laai hai mall..kuch toh decide kiya hoga?
Ketaki- Nahi na..acha aap naraz mat ho..aap hi aaj mere liye kuch acha sa select karo.
Chintu- Mei??
Ketaki- Hmm..
Chintu- Ok..
He roams the whole section and selects some beautiful frocks, jeans and tops and comes back to her. Ketaki gets very impressed seeing his selection but she has other plans so she outrightly rejects all saying she doesn't like the color and fabric.
Chintu (holds his head)- Uff..aaj kiska chehra dekh kar utha tha mai? meri itne ghanto ki mehnat isne ek second mei reject kardi..pata nahi kaunse janam ka badla le rahi hai..isiliye inn ladkiyon ke saath shopping karna pasand nahi hai mujhe..ghanto tak bas ghumti hi rehti hain par leti kuch nahi..says in his mind.
Ketaki was enjoying his state.
Ketaki- Bhai..utho aur jaldi se kuch aur choose karke lao.
Chintu (folds his hands)- Mujhe maaf karde..mere andar ab aur himmat nahi hai..tu khud hi kuch pasand karle.
Ketaki- Pakka?
Chintu- Hmm..
She runs from there muffling her laugh and roams the whole mall to get something but doesn't find anything attractive and decides to go back when her eyes fall on a beautiful embroidered pair of jeans and top with a over-coat. She goes in the shop and asks the price of that but the Sales Girl tells her that its not for sale.
Ketaki gets disappointed and comes back running to Chintu.
Ketaki- Bhai..
Chintu- Kya hua itna haaf kyu rahi hai..aur ye kya tune kuch khareeda nahi?..seeing her empty hands.
Ketaki- Usi keliye aai hoon aapke pass..mujhe ek dress pasand aai hai par wo sale ke liye nahi hai.
Chintu- Haan toh mai kya karu isme? Koi aur dress choose karle.
Ketaki- Par mujhe wahi dress pasand hai..aur mujhe wahi chahiye.
Chintu-Par jab wo sale ke liye hai hi nahi toh kaise milegi..koi aur dress choose karle warna ghar chal.
Ketaki (sits down on the floor folding her legs)- Mujhe kuch nahi pata mujhe wahi dress chahiye..aap lakar do warna mai aise hi baithi rahungi.
Chintu- Ye kya tamasha laga rakha hai..chup-chap ghar chal..bahot ziddi hoti ja rahi hai tu.
Ketaki- Nahi nahi nahi..aap mujhe wo dress lakar do pehle.
Chintu sighs and goes to the shop. He talks with the owner and comes back after few minutes.
Chintu- Ye le apni dress..ab khadi hoja aur ghar chal.
Ketaki stands up quickly and hugs him.
Ketaki- Thanku thanku thanku so much.
Chintu- Hmm..pehle pareshaan karo aur phir thanku bol do..aajka mera pura din waste karwa diya.
Ketaki- Bas bas ab taane mat maaro..chalo ghar.
And both leaves to home.

Two days later, Jagdamba Nivas
Nana, Nani and Krishna were having their dinner while Dolly was serving them when landline phone rings.
Nana- Itni raat ko kiska phone aaya hoga?
Nani- Pata nahi..Dolly jaa kar dekho kiska phone hai.
Dolly- Ji nani..saying she goes and picks the call..hello kaun.
Caller- Hello..Dolly beti hum bol rahe hain pandit ji.
Dolly- Namaste pandit ji.
Pandit- Namaste..beta hume Jagdamba ji se baat karni hai.
Dolly- Ji..abhi deti hoon..she goes to nani and tells her..nani aapke liye pandit ji ka phone hai.
Nani (nodes & goes to talk)- Namaste pandit ji boliye.
Pandit- Namaste..wo humne ye batane ke liye phone kiya tha ki Dolly bitiya ke liye ek rishta aaya hai jaisa aapko chahiye..aur wo log kal hi aana chahte hain use dekhne..aapko koi apatti toh nahi hai?
Nani (gets very happy)- Acha..ye toh badi achi khabar sunai aapne pandit ji..aap unhe kal hi lekar aa jayiye hume koi apatti nahi hai.[/B]
Pandit- Theek hai phir mai rakhta hoon..unhe bhi phone karke batana hai na.Nani- Ji..and cuts the call and comes back to dining smiling.
Nana- Jagdambe badi khush lag rahi ho aisa kya kaha pandit ji ne?He was amazed as she rarely is seen this much happy. Dolly also smiles slightly seeing her this much happy.
Nani- Aisa kuch nahi hai Panna ji..pandit ji ne yeh batane ke liye phone kiya tha ki Dolly ke liye ek rishta aaya hai aur wo log kal hi aa rahe hain ise dekhne.Listening this his and Dolly's smile vanishes while Krishna gets happy hearing this but at the same time he was confused also and decides to talk to nani later.
Nana- Acha..saying this he resumes eating.
After having the dinner, Nana-Nani were going to their room when Krishna stops nani.
Krishna- Nani mere sar mei thora dard ho raha hai..mera sar daba do..and signals her to come to his room.
Dolly- Bhai..mai daba deti hoon..nani thak gai hogi na.Krishna- Tu apna kaam kar beech mei mat bol..maine nani se kaha hai toh unhe hi jawab dene de.Nani- Theek hai hum daba dete hain..chalo tumhare kamre mein chalte hai..to Dolly..
tum apna karo..and leaves with Krishna.
Dolly nodes her lowered head, cleans the dining, have her dinner, settles the kitchen and goes back to her room and sleeps writing her diary.
Krishna's RoomNani- Kya hua?Krishna- Mujhe kuch puchhna hai.Nani- Kya?Krishna- Ye Dolly ki shaadi wali baat samajh nahi aai mujhe..usme toh uski padhai ki baat hai phir ye shaadi kaise?Nani- Padhai ki baat hai par shaadi ki nahi..
Krishna- Matlab?Nani- Krishna beta bahot hi bhole ho tum..matlab ye ki padhai toh shaadi ke baad bhi ho sakti hai na.Krishna- Wah nani kamaal ka dimag paaya hai aapne..par agar ladke walo ne mana kar diya toh?Nani- Tum uski fikar mat karo..humne pandit ji se baat karli hai.Krishna- Phir thik hai.Nani- Acha ab hum chalte hain isse pehle ki koi aa jaaye..saying she leaves to her room and sleeps.
Next DayNani and Krishna were eagerly waiting for the arrival of the boy and his family while Nana was seated in the hall and Dolly was preparing snacks in the kitchen.
Nani- Wo log abhi tak aaye kyu nahi?Nana- Jagdambe itni besabr kyu ho rahi ho..wo aate hi honge..At the same time, they hears the horns of the car making them aware of their arrival.
Nana- Lo aa gaye.Nani and Krishna goes out to recieve them.
Nani- Namaste ji.Guests- Namaste.Nani- Ghar dhundne mei koi pareshani toh nahi hui aapko?Guests- Ji nahi.Till then Nana also comes out.
Nana- Jagdambe saari baaten bahar hi kar logi kya..unhe andar toh bulaao.Nani- Haan..aaiye andar chalte hain.Everyone comes inside and settles in the hall chit-chatting.
After few minutes, Dolly comes out with snacks and tea and serves them and then stands at one corner.
B.Mother- Jagdamba ji aapki naatin toh bahot sundar hai aur sanskari bhi lagti hai..kyu ji..she asks her husband.
B.Father- Haan..thik keh rahi ho tum..tumhe kaisi lagi Dolly beta..he asks his son.
Boy shies and nodes his head in a yes.
B.Mother- Toh Jagdamba ji humari taraf se haan hai iss rishte ke liye..ab aap apna faisla bata dijiye.Nani (beams with happiness)-
Humari taraf se bhi haan hai.Nana (interrupts)-
Par Jagdambe..Nani- Aap chup raho Panna ji..she shuts him up.
B.Mother- Kya hua aapko koi aitraaz hai kya?Nani- Nahi-nahi..ye toh bas aise hi..ab jab sab raazi hain toh sagaai ka muhurat nikalwa lete hain.B.Mother- Ohh..par usse pehle hume aapse ek zaruri baat kehni hai.Nani- Haan kahiye na.B.Mother- Wo humare bete ko agle hafte hi videsh jaana hai uski naukri ke liye..aur phir wo ek saal tak wapas nahi aayega..isliye hum iske jaane se pehle iski shaadi karwana chahte hain..agar aapko theek lage toh..Hearing this Nani's all happiness vanishes as her plans will not succeed if Dolly goes away so far that to for so much time.
Nani- Hume sochne ke liye kuch waqt chahiye.B.Mother- Haan haan kyu nahi..aap kal tak araam se soch lijiye..hum aapke jawaab ka intezaar karenge..ab hum chalte hain..saying she leaves with her husband and son.
