Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut starrer Mr Chaalu, which was announced a month ago, is yet to go on floor. Shahid, who was replaced by Saif Ali Khan in the lead role, seem to have pushed the schedule due to the clash of dates. Now the film has been delayed further than expected.
Director, Reema Kagti earlier signed Saif Ali Khan to play the role of Mr. Chaalu, apparently the deal fell and Shahid Kapoor came to the rescue. Shahid seems to have prior commitments which are need to be completed. The actor currently has three films in hand. He has almost completed Vikas Bahl's Shandaar, and will soon start shooting Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab and Raj Nidimoru - Krishna DK's Farzi.
Thus we hear that the Shahid has requested the co-founder of Excel Entertainment, Ritesh Sidhwani to postpone the shoot of Mr. Chaalu in order to manage the list of other films. Though director Reema Kagti refused to let drop any details over the delay, she did claim that the schedule of the film has been wrecked and they are making efforts to get it back on track.
