Part 20 - "Crazy Kiya Re!"

"Keh do ke tum ho meri warna...jina nahee mujhe hai marna...Dekho kabhee naa aisa kehna, dekho kabhee naa aisa karna...Yahee aada toh ek sitam hai, suno tumhe meree kasam hai...!"

Aahil looked up from his lap top screen as he heard the door open, and saw Sanam walk in. When he picked up the phone and Ruhi had told him Sanam was in the office, he had been totally surprised. He didn't know what he expected after the other night, but he had not expected her to turn up at the office. It seemed Sanam was full of surprises these days.

"Ms Khan...to what do I owe this unexpected visit?" asked Aahil formally as Sanam walked further into the office. "Please have a seat!" he said indicating the chair in front of his desk.

"No I think I prefer standing!" said Sanam tentatively.

"As you wish!" said Aahil, as he looked at her pointedly. "I am waiting Ms Khan!"

"Aahil...can you not be so formal please?" asked Sanam, a hint of pleading in her voice. Maybe it was that that did it. Aahil got up from behind his desk and walked over to where Sanam was standing.

"Why are you here Sanam?" he asked her softly, as he came to stand in front of her. He noticed her formal attire and how attractive she looked in them. Just seeing her again after the way she had behaved on Saturday night, Aahil felt his defenses already crumbling. But he didn't want to lose his head quite yet. Like he told Rehan the other night, the issue was not if Sanam still had feelings for him, but if she was willing to admit to them when she was not under the influence of any substance. That is the only way he can be sure she meant what was is saying.

Sanam looked at Aahil. He had lowered his guard with her a bit and that made her feel good, but at the time totally nervous as well. His eyes were asking her a question, not just his lips. She felt herself unable to even hold his gaze for too long. Remembering the previous night, and how she had acted made her feel embarrassed. However, she knew if she wanted to say what she had come to say, she had to keep her wits about her. Sanam took a deep breath and looked Aahil squarely in the eyes.

"I'm here...I'm here to apologize!" she said.

At her statement, Aahil's eyes narrowed. Did she just imagine it, or did he look slightly disappointed? Was he expecting something other than an apology from her? "Focus Sanam" she scolded herself. "What Aahil is thinking or not thinking should not be your focus. Just concentrate on what you came to say!"

"Aahil...I know the way I acted was not correct. That night at "S2" I tried to apologise to you, and it all went badly wrong. But even then, I wanted to say...I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about things. Didn't discuss my doubts with you, and avoided you. Then of course the Architects Dinner thing...it's true I didn't know that you were going to be there. But I should have been honest with you about going with Saif. I'm sorry. I was wrong. I should have handled things better! But in my defense, all I will say is that I was very confused. I didn't even know how to discuss my concerns with you!" Sanam stopped, as if to catch her breath, and glanced at Aahil. He was looking at her intently, but didn't say anything.

"Aren't...aren't you going to say anything?" asked Sanam nervously.

"What IS there to say Sanam?" said Aahil with a sigh. "We have had this discussion before. You told me even that day at "S2", that you were sorry you didn't discuss your concerns with me. So I know you already accept that!"

"Maybe we have discussed this before Aahil. But I never told you why I acted the way I did. The truth is...after my parents passed away...I found it very hard to let people in. I don't trust anyone that easily. I try to control things around me as much as I can. I suppose it's my way of keeping a handle of my life. Because when I lost Ammi and Abbu, I had no control over that. That is the reason why I was struggling with what I heard Simran say. That was outside my control, and I didn't know how to deal with it!"

"I get it Sanam. You had your reasons!" said Aahil. He was giving nothing away. Sanam didn't know exactly what he was thinking or feeling. Was he even accepting her apology or not? However, she pressed on with what she came to do. She came here to say her piece and she was not going to leave without doing so.

"Yes, but that night our discussion was interrupted by other issues too. You thought I wanted to go out with Ashish Deora, which I didn't. I told you you were being biased against me, and that your ego was getting in the way. You will of course recall the rest!" said Sanam ruefully.

Sanam took a breath as if to collect her thoughts, and continued. "Look Aahil...all that stuff about your Dad...I know I should not have said anything. But I wanted you to know I understood at least a little bit about where you were coming from. Why you have acted as you have sometimes. Especially when it comes to relationships. I know you were angry with Rehan for telling Seher. But the truth is, he meant well. I guess he wanted me to see another side to the story. Not just what was obviously visible? Sometimes...it's the things we can't see that makes the most sense when it comes to truly understanding someone!"

She stopped and looked at Aahil. He didn't say anything. But Sanam continued. "I know you think that I feel sympathy for you, that I think of you as a victim. Well that's not true. I don't. Of course I feel bad for what you went through. But that doesn't mean I pity you. You're wrong if you think that!" Sanam stopped again and took a breath. "And also...I am sorry, for the other night. The way I acted. How I was rude to your friend Sadhana. Seher told me that she was a friend of yours and Rehan's from university! The way I acted was unacceptable. The things I said...I apologize. I was not in my senses!" said Sanam as she closed her eyes. She opened them again to see Aahil looking at her intently, and then he finally spoke.

"I am sorry too!" said Aahil softly."That day at "S2"...I lost my cool. I said things I should not have. That comment about sympathy sex was uncalled for. I apologize!" said Aahil in a serious tone.

"Thank you Aahil" said Sanam with a small smile. She then continued to look at him expectantly. She wanted him to say that he accepts her apology too. But he didn't say anything. It seemed that he did not wish to elaborate any further. Maybe, he thought that now since he had heard her apology and he had also apologized for the way he acted that night, things between them were all well and truly said and done. Why didn't he say anything? Why didn't he at least say he was accepting her apology? Couldn't he do even that much? Did he have so much anger and resentment towards her now that he couldn't even manage that anymore? Sanam closed her eyes for a second. This was going nowhere. She had said what she came to say. There really was no point lingering here any longer. If Aahil no longer wanted her in his life, then she will have to accept that.

She was about to turn to leave and she even turned half way. But then she turned back and looked Aahil squarely in the eyes.

"Your worth it Aahil. You always were!" she said softly. She then turned around to leave. Sanam closed her eyes as she took a step towards the door, she was trying to hold in her tears. She didn't want to break down here in front of Aahil. Was this really the end then? Was Aahil not going to accept her apology? Sanam realized how much she had invested in hoping he would. She felt as if her heart was breaking. But she had no choice but to accept his stance. She took another step towards the door. But it felt like her feet were weighed down. Just when she was about to take another step, Aahil appeared in front of her and blocked her way. Sanam looked up at him in surprise.

"Where do you think your going?" said Aahil softly. Sanam's eyes widened as she looked at him.

"Well if...if you're not going to accept my apology...then..." She trailed off at which Aahil took a step closer to her.

"Did I say that?" he asked her huskily. Sanam blinked, thrown by his sudden proximity.

"No. But when you didn't say anything I..." she was saying in a confused tone, when Aahil cut her off.

"You assumed I was not going to accept your apology? What have I told you about assuming things Sanam?" he said softly, looking down at her. The look in his eyes was making Sanam's pulse race. He came even closer to her, and suddenly she felt his left arm go around her waist, as he pulled her closer to him. Sanam gasped at the unexpected move. He lifted his right hand to her face, and ran his knuckles down her left cheek.

"I want you to tell me what you said the other night!" he whispered, looking at her lips and then into her eyes. Sanam's breath caught when she saw the way he was looking at her.

"What did I say the other night?" she squeaked. She had said so many things, and she was not exactly certain which part he wanted to hear again. But she could hazard a guess.

"Oh I don't know...something about my eyes, my lips...? Something about how you wanted to kiss me? Something like that!" Aahil said huskily. Sanam's face flamed at the memory of her words. She tried to avert her gaze, but Aahil caught her chin and made her look at him.

"If you meant what you said Sanam...then tell me what you said to me then now that you're in your senses. Or am to believe that that was just the Tequila talking?"

"It wasn't" said Sanam huskily. "I meant it!" she said, blushing even harder.

"Say it then!" Aahil whispered. Sanam closed her eyes and opened them again. She was feeling shy, but she knew she had to do this. She had to show Aahil she meant what she said, and that it was not the Tequila, but her that was talking. The tequila had just made it easier for her to talk. That's all!

"Aahil.." she breathed... "I think you have the most beautiful eyes, and the most kissable lips, and I want to kiss you!" Sanam said in one breath.

The corner of Aahil's lip curved. "The answer is Yes Sanam" murmured Aahil, looking at Sanam's lips.

"Yes?" Sanam breathed, totally confused.

"That night you asked me if I wanted to kiss you. Yes I did. I wanted to kiss you. But I couldn't, because I don't take advantage of drunk girls. But yes...I wanted to kiss you then, and I want to kiss you now!" he said hoarsely.

"Then why don't you Aahil?" asked Sanam breathlessly.

"With pleasure baby!" said Aahil whispered as he closed the gap between them and claimed Sanam's lips in a kiss. Sanam gasped as there was no seeking or tentative quality in his kiss. It was raw passion from the moment his lips met hers. Her gasp had allowed him access to her mouth and soon his tongue tangled with hers and was tasting her. Sanam moaned as her hands moved over Aahil's chest, and one hand moved up and went around his neck, and her other hand fisted on his shirt. The hand that went around his neck, tangled in the hair at the base of his neck, as Sanam kissed him back with equal fervor. Aahil lifted his lips a fraction away from Sanam's for a moment and murmured against them, "Apology accepted", before covering her lips with his yet again. He lifted a hand to her hair and pulled off the clip holding her hair up, and it uncurled and fell around her shoulders. His fingers tangled in the silky strands of her hair as he continued to kiss her with barely suppressed passion.

Sanam was not sure how long they kissed, but Aahil eventually tore his lips away from hers as they were running out of breath. His warm mouth started to move to her cheek and then down her neck. He nuzzled the nape of her neck and gently bit the skin there. Sanam gasped as his tongue darted out and soothed the skin he had just bitten into.

"Sanam...baby...promise me you'll never do that to me again!" Aahil said hoarsely against the skin of her neck as his hands ran over her shapley behind as he pulled her even closer to him.

"What?" Sanam breathed confused. His touch was robbing her of the ability to think coherently.

"Avoid me, lie to me, and push me away. Don't ever do that again. You have no idea how much that hurt!" said Aahil in a rough voice as he lifted his head to look into her eyes. As his eyes met Sanam's she looked at him with regret. She lifted a hand to cup his cheek.

"Oh Aahil..." Sanam breathed. "I'm so sorry baby...I...please forgive me. I promise I won't do that again. It hurt me just as much to see you hurt. You have no idea how painful it was for me to be away from you all these weeks..." Sanam trailed off, looking into his eyes with nothing but sincerity in the depths of hers.

"Do you think it was easy for me to be away from you?" Aahil asked her roughly. "You don't know how many times I wanted to call you, to come see you. Sometimes just thinking about you would be too painful. I missed you like crazy!" he sad hoarsely.

"I missed you too. So much. But why didn't you call me then?" asked Sanam, as she caressed his cheek, her eyes holding his.

"I wanted to, but I was afraid Sanam. I wasn't sure how you felt about me. I wanted you to be with me because that's what you wanted. Not out of some misplaced sense of guilt or sympathy!"

"I told you already...I don't feel sympathy for you. For what happened to you? Yes! But not for you. Please don't ever think that Aahil!" said Sanam earnestly, her fingers caressing his jaw tenderly.

Aahil turned his face into her palm and placed a kiss on it. "I know that now baby. I don't think that anymore!...But if you missed me so much, then why didn't you call me, or come see me like you did now?"

"Because I was afraid too. I was afraid that you wouldn't want to see me. After everything that happened...I thought you must despise me, hate me even!" said Sanam her voice breaking.

"Hate you? I could never hate you Sanam. No matter what you did. I was hurt, I was in pain, so I lashed out. But I could never despise you. Whatever drove you to act the way you did, I get it now. Sometimes...our insecurities, or our own preconceived notions get the better of us. The same happened to me, when I thought you finding out about my Dad means you could never see me with anything other than pity!"

"My behavior on Saturday night should have shown you that pity is very low on the list of feelings I have towards you!" said Sanam ruefully as she recalled her actions from the weekend.

"So you were really jealous of Sadhs ha?" said Aahil, his lips curving up.

"Crazy jealous!" Sanam admitted. "I didn't even know which side was up, from the moment you walked in and I saw you with her! I have never felt that way before. I didn't know how to handle it!" said Sanam with a shake of her head.

"So you started to drown your sorrows one Tequila shot at a time?" smiled Aahil. "I didn't know you were such a big fan of Taylor Swift songs?" Aahil smirked.

"There are a lot of things you don't know about me Mr Aahil Raza Ibrahim...!" said Sanam in a saucy tone. "Yes I like Taylor Swift's songs. Especially "Shake It Off", and "Blank Space" coz they are both so over the top! So slice of life you know?"

"Blank Space?" said Aahil in alarm. "Please don't tell me you have a long list of ex lovers who think you're insane too? Or worse...you won't key my car will you?" said Aahil in mock horror.

"Who's the Taylor Swift fan now?" said Sanam with a smirk. "So what if I have a long list of ex lovers Mr Ibrahim? Are you jealous?" asked Sanam softly, as she wound her arms around Aahil's neck.

Aahil in turn pulled her closer. "Hell yeah...I'm jealous. I was even jealous of those guys who were ogling you at the club that night. And yes...I liked your dance" said Aahil softly. "But I would have preferred it, if it had just been for me. Do you think you can manage that one of these days Ms Khan?" he said looking at her intently.

Sanam blushed. "Are you intending to get me drunk and take advantage of me Mr Ibrahim?"

"Yes. I fully intend to take advantage of you, but only when you're sober!" said Aahil with a smirk, as he bent his head and captured her lips in a kiss again. Aahil pulled Sanam even closer so she was pressed flush against him. The kiss started teasingly, but soon turned passionate. Sanam could feel his growing need pressing against her middle and she reveled in the effect her closeness was having on him. She felt no hesitation of any kind, nor did she feel intimidated by the knowledge of his need. She was like putty in his hands, as he molded her closer. His hands running all over her curves, molding and pressing her against him. Sanam's fingered continued to fist in his hair as she felt herself dampening with need.

She then felt Aahil turn her in his arms so that she was now the one with her back to the door. He walked backwards, still kissing her, until his legs hit the edge of his desk. He sat on it, and pulled Sanam between his legs, as he continued to ravage her mouth. One of his hands cupped the underside of her breast, while the other cupped her behind, caressing her shapley curves. The hand covering her right breast was caressing and molding it's shape. His thumb flicked over her nipple and Sanam gasped into his mouth in need, as she continued to cling to Aahil. She was drowning in sensations and rational thought was soon leaving her mind. Being this close to Aahil after weeks of separation was having a heady effect on her, and she was not even attempting to stop the tide of feelings taking her over. Suddenly Sanam felt Aahil's hand cupping her breast move to the front of her shirt, as he started to unbutton it. She made no protest as she continued to kiss him.

Aahil then tore his lips away from Sanam's and his mouth started to travel down her neck and throat to the valley between her breasts. His mouth moved down and pressed a kiss on the deepest point where he had opened a button of her shirt. Sanam gave a small moan at the caress, but did not attempt to move away. Encouraged by this, Aahil's fingers opened up a few more buttons of her shirt until he reached the button right next to the waistband of her skirt. He pulled at her shirt until it came off the waistband of her skirt. He then unbuttoned the last two buttons, and his hand went inside her shirt and moved over the skin of her waist, until he parted her shirt to reveal the black lace covering the curves of her breasts. Sanam's breathing was labored and her luscious curves looked even more tempting encased in black lace. Aahil made a murmur of appreciation as one hand went to cup the side of her left breat as he bent his head and his lips closed over her right breast over the black lace. Sanam moaned as her fingers clutched Aahil's shoulders, and one hand moved to the back of his neck again as her fingers tangled in his hair once more, pulling at the strands, as Aahil's mouth tasted her breasts through the thin lace. He then turned to her other breast and repeated the caress, his tongue flicking over one nipple as his thumb caressed the other. Sanam was panting as she could feel the sensations he was evoking travelling right down to her core. Sanam tried to press her legs together to eliviate the ache that had started to invade her lower body.

As if alerted to her state, Aahil moved the hand that had been caressing her behind to her side. He moved his hand down to the hem of her skirt and then under it, as his hand caressed up her right thigh until he encountered the lacey hem of her panties. Sanam merely moaned and the fingers of one hand which had been clutching his shirt front, moved and curled around his bicep. Encouraged by her lack of protest, Aahil moved his hand up between her thighs, until he encountered the damp piece of lace covering her femininity. His fingers moved the scrap of lace away as his fingers slipped inside her secret place and started to caress her. Sanam gasped and then cried out in pleasure at the feel of his fingers caressing her intimately. He was touching her where she had been aching to be touched since she had felt his mouth and hands caressing her breasts. Aahil moved his mouth away from her breasts and moved them up her neck and jaw to claim Sanam's lips in a kiss. He continued to caress her bud, his fingers soon setting a rhythm as the fingers of his other hand still caressed her breast, his thumb moving over her nipple. She started to feel herself drawing closer to the edge. Sanam cried out as she felt Aahil slip two fingers into her core in one fluid push. "Aahil" she moaned, one hand was clutching his bicep as the other fisted in his hair as Sanam came apart in his arms. Her moans of pleasure drowned out by their fevered kiss. Aahil continued to kiss Sanam, softening the kiss to brushes of his lips against hers as he gently moved his fingers away from her core, and moved them between her thighs as his fingers caressed her trembling limbs. Sanam was limp in his arms, her whole body still tingling from the sensations created by her orgasm. Aahil started to move his lips away from hers and started to nuzzle his way slowly towards her ear, gently biting on the lobe. Sanam hid her face at the base of his neck as she pressed her lips against the skin there.

"Sanam...Baby...are you OK?" he asked in a whisper against her ear, at which Sanam merely nodded her head against him and huskily murmured. "Yes!". Sanam was still trying to catch her breath, and regulate her breathing after the heights he had just taken her.

He lifted his head away from her so he could look at Sanam. He looked down at her and as if feeling him willing her to look at him, Sanam lifted her face away from Aahil's neck and looked up. Their eyes met and held for a moment, and Sanam's face flamed, as her eyes flitted away from his, unable to hold his gaze.

"There is nothing for you to be shy about Sanam. What just happened was perfectly natural baby!" he said softly. "Your not...regretting it are you?" he asked roughly.

At his words, Sanam looked at him. Her eyes conveying her lack of regret. "Regretting it? Of course not!" said Sanam quickly. She cupped his jaw and placed a kiss on the corner of his mouth. "It...it was amazing Aahil!" she said softly, looking into his eyes, her own shy, but still holding his.

"The pleasure was all mine baby!" he said as he looked at her, his eyes full of passion.

Sanam blushed at the statement, her lids covering her eyes from Aahil's for a second, unable to sustain the heat radiating from his. Aahil's hand moved from her waist to cup her face as he made her look at him. "You have no idea what touching you like that felt like. It was like a fantasy of mine came true. A fantasy I have had almost from the moment I looked up and saw you in that Red dress!" Aahil said, looking at her passionately.

Sanam merely looked at him, her color high, from his words, and the way he was looking at her, as much as from their amorous exertions. "But Aahil...what about...I mean...what about you?" she asked shyly, as her eyes met and held his for a moment. "That can't have been enough for you?"

"It was everything!" Aahil whispered hoarsely. "I wanted you to come for me baby!"

Sanam blushed harder if that was even possible. "I can't believe we just did that in your office! That too with Ruhi just outside!" she said as bit her lip, her eyes reflecting her own feelings of being scandalized by her actions. It's just that she had been so intoxicated by Aahil's touch that she had forgotten where she was. Then suddenly she looked up at Aahil, her eyes reflecting that she was contemplating something.

"No" said Aahil, as if he had read her thoughts. "I have never done anything like this in my office before!" he said quietly. Sanam looked at him, her eyes widening. "In fact, I have never seen a women I was dating, or used to date at the office! So I believe Ruhi must be shocked right now that I asked her to let you in!" said Aahil with a curve of his lips.

"I am sure she will be shocked if she knew what we were doing!" said Sanam, her face coloring anew at the thought.

"Ruhi is a practical girl, but she's not a prude. I am sure, even if she did know, she wouldn't judge. Anyway, you don't have to worry she heard anything baby. I made sure all those delicious noises you were making were swallowed up by my kisses!" he whispered. "Not to mention...these walls are quite thick anyway!" Sanam bit her lip and looked away, unable to sustain his predatory gaze. Had Aahil ever looked at her this amorously before? It seemed like the intimacy between them had broken down another layer of reserve and he was showing her how much he wanted her.

Aahil pulled her closer and started to nuzzle her hair, as he whispered in her ear. "See me tonight!"

"Tonight?" Sanam murmured. "Aahil..." She started to say, when he interjected.

"What is it? Don't tell me you have a date tonight with Saif, or anyone else for that matter! Even if you do, break it. You're not going on dates with anyone but me from now on!" he said possesivley as his arm around her waist tightened as if to hammer home his point.

"Possessive much Mr Ibrahim?" said Sanam saucily.

"I am always possessive of what's mine Sanam, and your mine!" he said his tone assertive.

"Because of what just happened?"

"No. Because of how I feel about you. But what just happened only reinforced it. That's all!" said Aahil.

"How do you feel about me Aahil?" asked Sanam softly. "You never did tell me?" she asked, her hands running up his shirt front. Sanam saw that Aahil had been taken by surprise by her question. Suddenly Sanam was feeling confident in her feminine power, as she watched Aahil become tense.

"What do you want me to say Sanam?" he asked her evasively. Sanam's lips curved in a small smile. It appeared that the Nawab Saahab was not so forthcoming about his emotions. Sanam understood why Aahil was hesitating to say what they both knew he felt. SHE felt it too, and she knew that whatever happened between them now, and also everything that had led up to this moment was a clear indication of their feelings for each other. All that was left was to verbalize them.

Aahil looked down at Sanam, as she looked up at him expectantly. It seemed she wanted him to tell her how he felt. Aahil suddenly realised how hard it really was. In his mind he had acknowledged that he loved Sanam. However, when it came to actually saying the words, he felt a vulnerability that he had not really expected to feel. He knew speaking of his feelings had never been an easy subject for him. But he had not expected to feel this thrown by having to admit to Sanam that he loved her. How hard was it to say those words? "Come on Ibrahim. You can do this!" he told himself. He opened his mouth thinking he will say those words, but what came out was.

"Sanam...please button your shirt. I can't think straight when you're standing in front of me like that!" he said abruptly.

Sanam gave a small tinkling laugh. "That was not what I was expecting to hear" said Sanam throwing a glance at Aahil from beneath her lashes. "But...either ways...since you're the one who unbuttoned this shirt, I think you should do the honors of buttoning it too Mr Ibrahim?" she said softly.

Aahil shook his head at the seductress Sanam had turned into. She was enjoying this, the little witch, he thought. He used the hands he had on her waist, to put her slightly away from him, and then moved them to the front of her shirt. He pulled the two sides closer and started to move the small perly buttons on one side, through the eyes on the other. He was taking his time with it, as he was enjoying the feel of her soft curves brushing his fingers. He lingered a bit longer on the button that covered the deepest point between her breasts, as his knuckles brushed the skin there. Aahil tried to suppress a smirk when he realized that Sanam's breathing was getting labored. His little temptress was getting a taste of her own medicine back.

Sanam was trying hard to control her breathing, as the feel of Aahil's hands on her as he slowly buttoned her shirt was becoming torture for her. He was doing it on purpose, she knew. She had teased him and he was now teasing her back. "Well two can play at that game" thought Sanam, as she moved one of her hands that was resting on the waistband of Aahil's pants, towards the front of his pants. Her fingers moved over the hard ridge of his manhood as she caressed him through the fabric. Sanam heard Aahil draw in a sharp breath at her unexpected and intimate touch.

Aahil's hands suddenly left her breasts, and one hand came to rest on her waist, as the other came down to cover the hand that was stroking his manhood. "Not here baby" he said hoarsely. "Don't start something that can't be finished!"

"But why not Aahil?" asked Sanam looking at him intently. "After all...you touched me...so..." she trailed off, not finishing her sentence.

"I know I touched you, and that was coz I couldn't help myself. But when you touch me like this for the first time, I want it to be somewhere I can fully appreciate it. This is not that place!" said Aahil as he moved her hand away from his body.

"Fine then" said Sanam feigning annoyance. "You don't want me to touch you, you don't want to tell me how you feel...so I guess I should just go!" said Sanam, turning around as if she was intending to step away from his arms. She slipped out of his arms for a moment, and took a step away from him. Just as was about to take another step, she felt Aahil's arm snake around her waist as she was pulled back against his chest. His other hand moved up to her hair as he moved it off her shoulder as he nuzzled her neck.

"I'll tell you how I feel...but since you brought it up...I think maybe you should say it first?" Aahil softly whispered in her ear. Sanam swallowed. All this time she had been teasing him, but now that the ball was in her court, she realized that verbalizing her feelings was not that much easier for her either. She had never told a guy she loved him before. So this was a first for her as well. Not just Aahil.

"I didn't bring it up first. You did. You said you didn't want me to ever date anyone else, because of the way you feel about me. But you never said how you feel? So it wasn't me that brought it up first!" said Sanam defiantly.

"But you're the one who insisted on knowing baby...when I was quite happy to let the subject be. So I think...it's only fair that you put your money where your mouth is now, don't you?" said Aahil with a smirk. "Or don't you have the guts to say it first?" he asked her softly, knowing full well that Sanam would rise to the challenge.

As expected, Sanam turned around in his arms at this statement. "What did you say?" asked Sanam, as she poked Aahil in the chest taking a step forward, as he took one back. "I don't have the guts?" Sanam continued as she pushed her palm on his chest taking another step towards him. "Well let me show you how much guts I have!" she said, as Aahil's legs once again hit the desk. Sanam's hands went up Aahil's chest as she pushed him one more time, as he leaned back and she leaned forward.

"I love you! What do you have to say to that?" said Sanam looking at him threateningly.

Aahil's eyes widened as he took in her stance. "Thank you?" said Aahil as his lips twisted. Sanam's lips parted as she looked at him incredulously.

"What did you say? Thank you! Are you serious?" as she pushed him more and now he was practically half laying on the desk while Sanam leaned over him.

"You should be glad I am thanking you, and not calling for help? Aap pyaar ka izhaar kar rahi hain...yah meri izzat lootneki koshish kar rahi hain Ms Khan?" asked Aahil with a chuckle.

"Why you..." Sanam said as her hands went around Aahil's neck, as if to strangle him.

"Hey...Hey...easy baby!" said Aahil as his hands caught her waist, and moved her off him and on to the desk in one easy move. Now it was Sanam laying on the desk and Aahil was leaning over her.

Aahil looked down into Sanam's eyes and his suddenly darkened with passion. He still could not believe Sanam had actually said she loves him. His fingers moved up to cup her face, as he moved a strand of hair that had fallen on to her face.

"Do you mind telling me again what you said before Ms Khan?" he said in a soft whisper looking at her intensly.

"What did I say before?" Sanam breathed, feigning ignorance.

"Don't be a tease baby. You know what I mean...!" Said Aahil, looking at her in a way that made it hard for Sanam to breath, leave alone talk.

She took a deep breath as she felt herself blushing. "If you want me to say it, then stop looking at me like that!" she said shyly.

"Like what?" asked Aahil huskily.

"You know!" said Sanam as she bit her lip, looking away.

"Tell me Sanam. I'm waiting!"

"I already said it! It's your turn now!" she said defiantly.

"Fine...I'll say it. But as soon as I say it, you have to say it too. This time properly!" said Aahil, looking down into her eyes.

"Deal!" said Sanam.

Aahil looked at her, his eyes full of passion and whispered softy. "I love you Ms Khan!"

"And I love you Mr Ibrahim!" said Sanam her hands moving up to cup Aahil's face, as he moved his lips down to hers. Their lips met in a kiss that started off tentatively, as Aahil kissed her almost reverently. But the kiss soon turned passionate as they both got carried away by the euphoria created by their confession. Lack of oxygen made Aahil move his lips away from Sanam for a second, as he looked down at her.

"Sanam...baby...you have no idea how crazy I am for you" Aahil breathed his knuckle running down her cheek. "I think I must have fallen for you the minute I first saw you. I know that sounds crazy, but it was like I knew you or something. I never used to believe in stuff like that, but from the moment I saw you, all of it just became real!" Aahil sighed.

"I know. I didn't even think it was possible to be this much in love, but I guess I was wrong!" said Sanam echoing Aahil's sigh. "I love you Aahil..." Whispered Sanam "No matter what...please don't ever doubt that!" looking at him with earnest eyes.

"I wont!" said Aahil with a small smile. "Promise me you'll do the same!"

"I promise!" whispered Sanam as she pulled his head down for another kiss.

A few minutes into their kiss, the phone on Aahil's desk rang, interrupting their moment. Aahil groaned as he moved off Sanam and helped her up.

"I have to get this baby. I'm sorry!" he murmured.

"It's fine" said Sanam, as Aahil picked up the phone.

"Yeah Ruhi" he said, and after a brief pause, he said "OK", and put the phone down.

"I have a meeting at 4pm, and Ruhi was calling me to remind me of it!" said Aahil running his fingers through his hair, as he tired to get his head back into work mode.

"4pm?" said Sanam her eyes widening, as she quickly glanced at her watch. "Ya Allah, it's 3.30! I've been here for nearly 2 hours!" said Sanam in horror. She had arrived at Aahil's office just before 2pm. She remembered coz she had just finished her lunch appointment before coming here. Sanam shook her head ruefully.

"I guess time flys when you're having fun?" said Aahil with a twist of his lips, at which Sanam blushed.

"Where's the washroom?" she asked. She had to freshen up before leaving. She can only imagine what she must look like right now, her clothes all haphazard and her hair all messed up. "I'm sure I look a mess!"

"A totally hot mess!" said Aahil with a smile, as Sanam blushed and turned around towards where Aahil had indicated with his hand.

Sanam took her bag where it had fallen on the floor and scurried off to the washroom. Just as she thought she looked like a mess. But one look at herself and it was clear that she looked like she had been thoroughly kissed and more. Sanam's colour heightened as she looked at herself and remembered the intimacy she had shared with Aahil and how they had admitted their feelings to each other. She didn't know exactly what she thought she had expected to happen when she came here today? But what had happened had totally exceeded her expecatations. Sanam smiled at her reflection as she opened the tap and splashed some water on her face. Just then she noticed the tell tale marks on her neck and thought to herself that it was lucky she had a scarf in her bag.

Aahil also straighted himself up while he waited for Sanam. He smiled when he thought of just what had happened for the past hour and a half in his office. He shook his head. When he had done the mudane task of picking up his phone nearly 2 hours ago, little had he known that he would be told that Sanam was waiting outside. But from the moment he had told Ruhi to send her in, and to this moment, everything that had happened was almost like a fantasy. Aahil could not believe that his day had started without him knowing if or when he would see Sanam again, to actually having her come to his office and then come in his arms. Aahil closed his eyes, and sighed. Even thinking of how it had felt to touch Sanam, and her be so uninhibited with him, made his blood pound in his veins, and it was imperative that he calm his libido now. He had a meeting in around 20 minutes, and he needed to come down off the cloud he was currently floating on.

Just as he thought that, the washroom door opened and Sanam walked out. She looked totally put together again, and even her hair looked like it had never been out of place. The only thing that gave her away was the look of adoration in her eyes when she looked at him. Aahil's breath caught at her expression. He walked forward as she came to stand in front of him.

"What's the scarf for?" asked Aahil, as he moved to pull Sanam into his arms.

"What do you think Mr Ibrahim?" said Sanam, as she ran her hands over his chest to lace around his neck. "So have I successfully hidden the evidence?" asked Sanam with a twist of her lips.

"Yes. Everything but your eyes...your eyes are telling exactly what you have been doing Ms Khan!"

"Just as well I brought shades then!" said Sanam saucily, as Aahil bent his head to kiss her. After a few minutes, they pulled apart.

"Will you see me tonight?" asked Aahil softly.

"If you want...but I am working pretty late, and you have to work early tomorrow. I'll work something out with Sean, so I don't have to work tomorrow night. How does that sound?"

"Good. Now go, before I am tempted to keep you here for an encore performance!" said Aahil with a chuckle. Sanam giggled as she pressed a lingering kiss on Aahil's cheek, as she slipped out of his arms and turned towards the door. Aahil walked with her to the door, and opened it for her in his usual gentelmenlike manner. Sanam smiled as she stepped out of the office.

The sound of the door opening made Ruhi look up. Her eyes reflected surprise when she saw Sanam walk out of Aahil's office. She had had no idea she was still here. When Ms Khan had not come out within half an hour of her unscheduled visit, Ruhi had guessed what might be going on in her boss's office. She had not had lunch, so she had decided that it was a good time to go get her lunch. She had left the office for the next hour. When she came back, she had called her boss to remind him of his 4pm appointment. She had not expected Ms Kahn to still be here. Ruhi tried to supress a smile, and her eyes widened slightly when she saw her boss walk out behind her.

"Bye Ms Singh" said Sanam politely as she looked at Ruhi, not quite able to control her blush, before walking towards the door leading to the foyer.

"Bye Ms Khan!" she said with a smile.

Sanam turned at the door, and looked at Aahil. She smiled and said softly. "Bye!"

"Bye" said Aahil back his heart in his eyes. Sanam smiled once more at Aahil before stepping through the glass door into the foyer. Aahil sighed audibely as he watched her walk away. When Sanam disappeared from his line of vision he turned back towards his office, and then stopped and looked at Ruhi.

"Ruhi...If San...I mean Ms Khan were to come to see me at the office again, please just send her in. No questions asked. No need to call me!" said Aahil, the corner of his lips turning up in a small smile.

"Sure sir! By all means!" Said Ruhi, her lips curving in turn. Not quite able to supress the smile she wanted to give. Aahil nodded and just as he was about to turn, Ruhi spoke. "Sir?"

"Yes Ruhi?" said Aahil looking at her.

"I'm sorry...I hope you don't mind me saying... but...there's...there's lipstick on your cheek!" she said trying hard to keep a straight face.

"Oh" said Aahil, as he lifted his hand towards his face. He knew which cheek it was, coz he remembered Sanam pressing her lips against his left cheek before leaving his office. He smiled, and then looked at Ruhi, and chuckled. "Thanks for telling me Ruhi, and no I didn't mind. We can't have me going to a meeting with lipstick on my face can we?" said Aahil ruefully as he laughed. The rich sound resonated around the room, and Ruhi too could not help joining in.

"Sir...it's good to see you so happy!" said Ruhi, her eyes and voice sincere!

"Thanks. It's good to be this happy!" said Aahil with a smile, his eyes equally sincere, as he turned around and walked back into his office.

As the door closed behing her boss, Ruhi Singh smiled. "Looks like trouble in Paradise just ended!" she thought.

To be continued...

I NEED A COLD SHOWER 😳 ! This chapter was amazing my favourite so far 😉. Damn I almost forgot your talent to write sexy scenes: you have a gift to make us blush. It was hot as hell! I really love the way Aahil tried not to show his feelings when she apologized 😆 hahahaha poor Sanam who was trying to guess his feelings ... well you deserve it girl.

Sweet chapter ! They are crazy about each others lol No doubt I can see a future proposal and a fast wedding ^^. Damn Aahil was so sexyyy I was blushing at some point I was turning red lol when I read their physical interaction: I know it's just a show and KVB is married but damn can you imagine him and SJ in this kind of position ! Both of them will burn our screen for sure it will explode at some point HAHAHAHA. I 'm not easily impressed by indian romantic scenes but every time I read your stories about Sahil I can't stop thinking about how I felt When Khushi and Arnav from IPKKND consumed their love... damn sexy!
2 more chapters and that's It ! Nooo don't stop ever lol you can go on and on and on ! I really love and appreciate your imaginations and effort to make us dream. 👏 So a big round of applause for you and your talent Mandy ! I love it but now it seems to me that Sahil are ready to take the next step in their complicated relationship. Hahahaha I love the way Sahil was saying promise me this promise me that ... so damn cute and head over heals for each others.
