Chapter 19

"Who?" she replied, with a voice that was identical to Sanyukta's, except perhaps softer.

"Sanyukta..." Randhir replied, "Where's Sanu?"

"Who is Sanyukta?" the girl replied, sounding genuinely confused.

He started to doubt himself now... but that was Sanyukta's voice. Maybe he was being silly... it had been three years since he heard her voice after all, and today he wasn't exactly focusing on her voice. There had to be some difference.

"Nobody... sorry," he replied, sounding confused.

She lead him inside an elevator and pressed a button.

"Where are we going?" he asked, wondering if he should fear for his life.

"Into a room... I booked it. I thought it would add a more personal touch and we could get to know each other nicely," she replied, as if it were so obvious.

He might have liked it if she was just a fling for him. But this was his to be wife... and this was the first time they were meeting. He didn't want to marry a girl who took men into a bedroom with them on the first night itself.

The elevator door opened and she, still holding his hand, tugged on it gently, and for a second he forgot all of his thoughts as he paid attention to the warmth of her hand on his.

She lead him down a hallway and paused momentarily, fidgeting with the lock of a room before walking inside, leading him in with her. She closed the door behind her.

"Sanu... look... I know... I know we're probably getting married but -"

"Probably?" she asked, sounding offended. "I thought you were sure..."

Then she sniffled... it was as if she was about to cry, and Randhir felt his heart soften.

"S - sorry," he muttered. "We are... we are getting married."

"I just... I just brought you in here so we didn't have to deal with noise and lots of people," she told him innocently.

"But why am I blindfolded?" he asked her. "Why can't I see you?"

"I don't want someone to marry me just for the way I look... Randhir you might not believe this but so many guys have proposed to me, just by one glance... how do I know who genuinely will like me for me," she told him softly.

So she was that beautiful? Randhir smiled to himself... in a way, the mystery was incredibly sexy.

She held on to his shoulders and pushed him downwards, his butt hitting something squishy, which he assumed was the bed.

She let go of his shoulders and was about to walk away, to maintain some distance but Randhir caught her arm.

"Come... sit on my lap," he said softly, getting turned on by the idea of being intimate with a mysterious, beautiful lady.
