-Chapter Eight-Kriya & Sharon stood there at the entrance of kitchen, watching the perfect family scene in front of them. Kriya was uncomfortable at first, it wasnt easy seeing her love in some one elses arms. But she held herself up. Sharon who sensed kriya's discomfort, put her arm around her shoulder in consoling manner. Kriya gave her weak smile, assuring her.
"Taani" Sharon called out for her, taani was feeding rihanna with rey standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her. Hearing sharons voice they pulled away.
"Sharon do you need something?" taani asked her polietly, then her gaze shifted over kriya who looked quiet uncomfortable.
"Yeah everyone is hungry so we thought if you could make something?" Sharon asked her.
"Sure, I will mak.." Taani started to say but before she could complete her sentence.
"No need, I will order from outside" Rey spoke leaving no space for her to object, he didnt like the way his friends were treating her, speaking politely when they want her for some work or else they dont even smile at her way. Sharon nodded and they left the kitchen.
"Rey i can cook, there isnt any need for you to order" Taani told him, rey took bowl from her hand and started feeding rihanna.
"I dont like how they were ordering you. You are not their slave" says rey, she could feel irritation toward his friends in his tone thus decided not to argue further which would make him angry. She adored how he was trying to make funny faces while feeding her, Rihanna was giggling whole heartedly.
"Nah" Rihanna made an angry face and turn her face away when rey tried to feed her one last bite, her stomach was full.
"Princess, this is last bite" Rey said making puppy face, Rihanna stare at him with her big big eyes they reflect nothing but innocence. Taani laughed seeing the cute father-daughter duo. After so many try she finally opened her mouth and ate the last bite of her baby food. Taani & Rihanna laughed when rey did little victory dance.
"Who would say you are The Reyaansh Singhania, the superstar" Taani spoke unconsciously. Rey stopped and look at her, the look of pure adoration could seen on her face.
"For you & rihanna I just want to be Rey, the normal guy who feel special and complete when his small family is with him" Rey replied in soft tone pulling her in his arms. Taani rested her head on his chest, listening his heart beats.
Rihanna pouted seeing her parents lost in their own world, taani & rey both came back on earth from their dreamland when their princess faked cry to gain their attention. Rey chuckled, breaking the hug he pick rihanna in his arms.
"Princess you are getting naughtier day by day" Rey tickled her lightly, lifting her up he nuzzled his face in her tummy making her laugh. After their little play rey gave rihanna to taani while he ordered food from restaurant. Then they went in living room where his friends were.
"Dude we have got a new offer. Its live concert in dubai" Sharon informed him about their new offer, she just got a call from their manager who informed her.
"Dubai? How long we have to stay there?" Rey questioned her. Taani who was listening them got little sad thinking rey have to go leaving her & rihanna alone here but she didnt show it on her face thinking he would get upset.
"Maximum one week, we didnt even have anything ready yet so we have rehearsals too" Sharon told him, Rey was in deep thought. He didnt wanted to go leaving taani and rihanna alone here and not after what happened last time, how his baby fallen ill because she was missing him.
"Dates confirmed hai?" Rey questioned her again. Sharon frowned at him.
"Why are you asking so many questions? And yeah dates are confirmed we have to leave for dubai in three days." Sharon spoke in irritated tone, annoyed with his strange behavior. He never asked so many questions before.
"Sorry sharon I am not going then, Rihanna is not well, I cant leave them alone here" Rey told her truthfully. All of them looked shocked, specially kriya. Never in her wildest dream she thought rey would leave her friends and dance for someone.
"What? Rey you are our main lead dancer, you cant just leave us" Vicky said all dance group members except swayum & kriya agreed with him.
"Vicky I am her father first then lead dancer of group. I thought you guys understand but i guess i was wrong. You guys just think about dance and events, even i was like that before but now my priorities are different. I cant leave my sick daughter here and perform in some god damn event" Rey spoke in louder tone. His gaze fall over taani who was pleading him to stay quiet. She didnt want because of her and rihanna he distance himself from his friends.
"Relax guys! Rey is right, he has family to look after. You cant force him to come leaving rihanna here when she is not well" Swayum interpreted inbetween, before matter got worse he controlled the situation.
"Rey you can go if its really important event. I am here with rihanna" Taani spoke in low tone. Rey glared at her, she could see the anger in his eyes.
"Its okay taani, we understand" Sharon said to her. Taani smiled weakly, she got up from her place and went upstairs in her room with rihanna, giving them time to sort out thing between them.
"Sorry guy I shouldnt have talked so rudely" Rey apologised but still he was angry with them for not understanding him. They all said its okay.
"Okay so now who would perform with kriya, i thought she would be in lead with rey but now rey is not coming.." Sharon told them, they were in deep thinking.
"Sharon what do mean by kriya was supposed to paired up with me? Sorry to say but i am not comfortable in paired up with her, I am fine with aashi as my partner so its better you dont do change in that" Rey told them in blunt tone, kriya was hurt by him, she understood he was still angry with her.
"Sorry kriya i didnt mean to hurt you but yeah thats true i am not comfortable with you" Rey said in soft tone when he noticed the hurt look on her face. It wasnt his past with kriya but it was his present and future with taani, he didnt want to paired up with kriya. He knew kriya still love him, infact she came here with hope that he would accept her but thats not possible, he had forgive her for what she did because it didnt matter to him, her existence didnt matter to him. Although there is no chance he would go back to her but still he was afraid, what if taani didnt like it? They still havent talked about kriya and her joining same academy. Rey didnt want taani to feel uncomfortable seeing him dancing with his ex that meant nothing to him. And knowing taani, he was sure even if she feel uncomfortable in kriyas presence she wont tell him that, so it was his duty to make sure their isnt any moment where she would feel uncomfortable or insecure because of his past.
"Its okay rey, I can understand" Kriyas voice bring him back out of his reverie. Rey nodded, just then door bell ring. Rey went and opened the door, the delivery boy was at door, rey paid for the food after closing the door he went in living room, girls took food from him and went in kitchen to serve them.
"Rey bahut pyaar karte haina taani se?" Kriya asked gaining there attention, sharon was putting food in bowls. All girls look at kriya.
"Hmn bahut pyaar karta hai. He is in madly in love with her, uske liye apna dance tak chodne ko taiyaar tha. When she wasnt here with him he was living a dead life" Sharon answered her, kriya smiled little.
"Aur rihanna, he met her just 10 days ago and now she is his life. His day starts with her and end with her. He wasnt very fond of kids before he met rihanna but now, he cant even spend a minute without her." sharon continued, small smile was playing on her lips. She was happy for her best friend who got his happiness back after years.
"Kriya aapko nhi pta types, Rey na taani ke pyaar main pure majnoo types hai." Aashi said while laughing. They got all the dishes and took then out in dinning room and arrange all the dishes on table.
"I ll go and call taani" Rey said as they settled down on dinning table. Rey went upstairs in their room. Rey entered his room and closed the door behind him.
"Taani" Rey called out for her. She was laying down on bed with rihanna laying on her stomach, taani was teaching rihanna to say new words. Rey went there and sat beside them.
"Taani come, eat something" Rey said to her, taani and rihanna both look at him with almost same expressions. Those big big innocence filled eyes and soft smile playing on their lips. His lips curved into breath taking smile.
"I am not hungry right now, you go and eat, I ll eat later" Taani said to him and again got busy with rihanna.
"I am not taking no for an answer. You havent eaten anything since morning, come with me or i wont mind carrying you downstairs" Rey threaten her, taking rihanna in his arms. Taani got up and sat on bed taking support of bedpost.
"Okay you go I ll come in 5 minutes" taani told him, Rey nodded and left from there with rihanna after dropping a sweet peck on her lips.
